Chapter 1 NO.1

Summer POV:

I put my hair in a loose fish tale before grabbing my phone and leaving my room for school.

"Bye sweetie" Mum smiled, kissing my cheek.

"Come here, baby girl" Dad opens his arms and I step into them, hugging him.

He kissed my cheek when my 3 older brothers come downstairs.

"Bye mum" Blake smiled, kissing mum on the cheek.

Blake was the oldest by 2 years, making him 19. He failed the last year though. We went to dad's, mother's, boyfriends funeral. (AN: JESSE'S MOTHER HAD A BOYFRIEND AND IT WAS HIS FUNERAL!) They didn't end up getting married but they were really close and Blake took it harder than all of us. We all loved him but him and Blake had a best- friend kind of relationship. Then my 2 brothers, Liam and Alex were twins and they were both 17. Then I was 16, therefore being the baby of the family.

Blake, Liam, Alex and I were very very close. They were so over protective over me and so was my dad.

For that reason specifically, I have never had a proper boyfriend.

"Come on, lil sis" Blake smiled, his arm wrapping around my shoulder as we wall left. We all got into Blake's car, before he drove off to school.

I was allowed to sit in the passenger seat as we drove to school.

"So, who was that boy you were talking to yesterday after school?" Liam asked from the back and I laughed.

"Aiden? He is just a friend" I smile and Alex sighed.

"He didn't look like a friend" He says and I roll my eyes.

"Why didn't he look like a friend?" Blake asked, his eyes briefly coming off the road.

"He hugged her" Liam says.

"Wait! He hugged her? He made the first move?" Blake asked, his eyes narrowed slightly.

"Yes" The twins say.

"No" disagree, although I was lying.

Aiden was a friend and just a friend.

"He hugged her" Liam confirmed to Blake.

"What do we do?" Blake asked, running his hands through his hair.

"Nothing!" I say just as Alex shouted, "Let's beat his ass"

I rolled my eyes, having 3 over protective brothers and an over protective dad was good sometimes. Other times, not so much.

When they all scared off my first ever boyfriend, including my dad, (I was 15) me or mum didn't speak to them. For one week. Mum didn't even kiss dad or tie his tie like she always did for him. No, instead she completely ignored him along with me.

So, them being like this was what they considered "normal". They have been a lot worse than this.

"If you guys even dare to beat Aiden up, I'll tell mum. And she'll ban you from the xbox and I won't speak to you again" I warn, my voice is firm and I see Liam sigh.

"Can we speak to him?" Alex asked and I shook my head.

"He isn't my boyfriend, any guy I like is scared to date me because of you lot" I say and Blake grinned.

"Good. No boy in that school deserves you Summy. You are way too good for them all, okay? There are only like 2 guys I don't mind you dating as much and that's because they are scared of me" Blake smiled and I crossed my arms.

"I'm not a baby" I say, and pouted. You know, to prove my point that I wasn't a baby.

"We know you aren't, we just want to make sure that no guy takes advantage of you. You don't deserve to be treated like that." Alex says.

Alex was the quietest and most mature out of all three brothers. Liam being most immature.

"I'll never have a boyfriend if you don't calm down" I mutter and I saw Alex smile brightly.

"Good. I'll break his legs if a guy ever touched you" he says and I glare.

We arrive at school shortly after. Blake gets out, Alex opens my door for me and Liam wraps his arm over my shoulder.

Liam stood to the left of me, Blake stood to the right and Alex was behind. They were all glaring at a few guys who looked over.

"You guys are so over protective" I say and Blake smiled.

"It's our job. You are our only little sister. Who else can I enjoy scaring apart from your boyfriend?" He asked with a grin.

"What boyfriend? I don't have a boyfriend because of you" I say and Alex smiled.

"Good" He says.

They walk me to my locker, even though I was more than capable then going myself.

Everyday was the same, they would all (some how) pick me up from each class I had and walk me to my next class, they would sit with me at lunch and even go as far as waiting outside the bathroom for me.

They never left me alone. They always made sure at least one of them was next to me.

I didn't really get why. All I knew is that every one was scared to say anything bad about me due to my brothers.

Also, they were probably so over protective because 2 years ago I got jumped. I was beat up pretty badly and nearly got put into a coma as my head was hit really hard.

Before that, they weren't as over protective as they are now. They feel like it is their job to protect me.

"What are you looking at?" I hear Liam ask, he wasn't mean, more curious.

"Nothing" I hear the familiar voice of Drew. Drew Johnsone. He was the hottest guy in school- sandy blonde hair and bright green eyes, sharp features, quite tall and a muscular built.

He smiled at me, which took me back. I heard rumours he was an absolute ass hole.

"See you at practise, Blake" Drew turns to Blake before walking off.

He was the basket ball captain and Blake was on the team.

"What was that about?" Alex asked and I rolled my eyes.

"Nothing dude. Leave it. I don't want to be kicked off the team. He smiled at her. That's all. He knows she is off limits" Blake says and Alex nodded.

The bell rings and they walk me to first lesson.

"Have a good day" Alex whispers when he hugs me.

"We love you, Sum" Liam smiled and kissed my head.

"I love you all too" I smile before I walk into class.

"See you in an hour!" Liam laughs before we walks away with my 2 other brothers.

Chapter 2 NO.2

Summer POV:

The day went quickly and before I knew it, it was lunch time.

"Hey sis" My 3, overly annoying but amazing brothers sat at my table. My best friend was on holiday and wouldn't be back for another week.

"Hey" I smile before I continue eating. The school food tasted like absolute crap but I couldn't care because I was so hungry. Also, my brothers wouldn't take me out to get food. They say it's because they can't be bothered.

"Can I speak to you?" Drew walks over, obviously speaking to my brothers.

"Sure" Alex says. I noticed him move the tiniest bit closer to me.

"Practise is on tonight, coach wanted me to tell you" Drew says, his eyes skimmed over all of them till they landed on me.

"Seriously?" Blake mutters. We were meant to be going out for a family meal tonight. I wasn't sure why yet though.

"Yeah, sorry man. I'm not sure why he called it on suddenly. It could be because we have a few matches in 2 weeks time" Drew shrugs, his eyes moving away from me.

"Well, what are you gonna do, Sum? It's a far walk and you don't have your license yet. Do you wanna wait?" Blake asked and I nodded.

"Yeah, I got homework given to me today. I'll do that whilst I'm waiting and I'll text mum and dad for you" I say, getting my phone out and sending a quick text telling them that they had practise.

"Okay that's cool" Liam says, "Thanks Drew" He adds.

"No problem" He nodded, his hair falling into his eyes before he walks away.

Lunch ended quickly and before I knew it, I was in the car doing Biology homework.

A knock on the window surprised me.

I looked up to see Drew.

"Hey" I say, getting out of the car.

"Hi" He smiled.

"Are you looking for something?" I ask, confused. Why was he here?

"Um, no. I just was wandering if Blake was down here. He obviously isn't." He grinned.

"He isn't up there?" I ask before I see Blake jog over, with someone I hoped I never saw again.

"Hey Sum, remember Alicia?" He asked and I looked down before nodding.

It was a good thing Blake didn't know Alicia was the girl who jumped me, he would've been so mad other wise and even more protective.

"I need to go practise. Nice seeing you Alicia" He says before walking towards the courts.

"I see you are surprised to see me" She smirked, her long blond hair and bright blue eyes made boys crazy for her. Although, she jumped me, I wasn't scared of her. I was taken off guard when she jumped me, but I could easily beat her ass now. She only had the advantage when I didn't expect it.

"Yeah, I am. Never thought I would run into to the biggest bitch I've met again. Especially because you ran away when I found out it was you who jumped me" I smirk, my hand resting on my hip. Hatred burned in her eyes.

"You're a bitch!" She exclaimed, her fists clenched to her sides.

I laughed, "you are calling me a bitch but you were the one to jump me and then get Conner to hate me! You sound like the bitch, not me" I say, making sure I keep my guard up.

Conner. He was funny, extremely good looking and smart. We had this thing, we weren't officially together but we kissed a few times and he told me he liked me. It seemed Alicia had a crush on him and beat me up before telling him lies that I was using him. The next time I went to school I saw them making out on MY locker.

She said nothing for a while but when she walked up to me and raised her hand, I knew what I was in for.

I grabbed her wrist just before she slapped me in the face.

"What the FUCK do you think you are doing?" I hissed, my grip on her wrist tightened, not enough to really hurt her but enough for her to feel something.

"I beat you up once, I can do it again!" She spat, her eyes burning with intense dislike.

"Oh yeah, try me bitch" I smirk, letting her hand drop.

She took the first move, shoving at me.

Sure, I knew HOW to fight but that doesn't mean I'll start one. I hate violence but if it is needed then I'll use it.

I shoved her, using all my force. She stumbled back before falling on her ass.

She jumped up immediately, her fist almost colliding with my jaw. Luckily I dodged it just in time.

I punched her in the shoulder, not wanting to punch her in the face just yet. She hasn't done anything that bad yet.

"Conner would be ashamed of you, heck your NAN would be ashamed of you" She shouted. Mum told me about her mother and how she met dad and even though I never met her, I missed her. I wanted to meet her. She was perfect, according to mum.

Without thinking, I began punching her, any way I could.

"Stop Summer!" I hear someone call but I couldn't stop. I was angry. How dare she?

Alicia knew so much because we used to be best friends. More like she would control me and treat me like a puppet.

I feel arms around me and I was lifted off of Alicia, who was on the floor.

Blood was every where, on my hands, shirt. It wasn't my blood though, it was Alicia's.

"Are you okay?" Drew asked, standing in front of me.

"Let me get her!" I shout but Drew's arms shot out to stop me.

"Summer, you need to calm down" He shouts.

"Drew! Move. I need to fight her!" I shout.

"You already have. Now calm down" He says calmly.

"Come on" He says, quieter this time. He led me somewhere.

He began to clean my cuts, being careful not to hurt me.

"Shit Summer, your knuckles are bruised" He says and I sigh.

"It's okay" I say before the door burst open.

"Summer! Why did you beat up Alicia?" Blake asked, his brows crunched up in confusion.

"She was the girl who jumped me. Also, she was provoking me. Then she made the first move" I explain and Liam walks over.

He visibly winces at my purple knuckles.

"Is that not hurting at all?" He asked softly.

"No, not yet" I say.

After I was cleaned up, I thanked Drew again.

"It's okay, honestly. I saw how she provoked you to do so. It was pretty much self defence anyway" He says.

After reassuring my brothers and Drew thousands of times that I was okay, Blake began to drive us home.

Drew took care of Alicia and cleaned her up as well.

"Um, Summer" Alex says hesitantly.

"Yeah?" I ask.

"What are we going to tell mum and dad?" He asked and I felt my jaw drop.

I forgot about that.

"Oh shit!"

Chapter 3 NO.3

Summer POV:

"What happened here?" Dad asked, noticing my bandaged knuckles.

"Not now" I say, shaking my head before walking up into my room.

I locked my door before getting into the shower, making sure I let the hot water hit my skin to calm me. I stand under the water until I feel completely relaxed and get back out.

I get changed, remembering that we were going out for a meal, in a black skater dress. I dry my hair before leaving it in lose curls. I apply make up and cover a scratch from the fight before putting on some pink flats.

"Ready to leave, babygirl?" My dad asks, he wraps his arm around me and kisses my head.

"Yeah" I smile and hug my dad.

"I understand you're angry, but when you are ready to speak, me and your mum are here" he whispers, kissing my cheek before grabbing the keys.

"You ready baby?" Dad shouts to mum.

"Yeah, give me a sec babe" mum shouts before she walks down the stairs, looking absolutely stunning.

I saw dads jaw drop at the sight of her, his eyes filled with love and adoration at the sight of her.

"You look so beautiful, Kasey" Dad whispers, wrapping his arms around her and kissing her quickly.

"Thank you Babe" she smiled at him, her cheeks dotted with pink at the compliment.

"You look stunning mum" I smile and she wrapped her arms around me, grinning.

"So do you Sum" she kissed my cheek before saying how handsome the boys looked.

Dad, who looked to be still in a daze at mum, grabbed her hand and opened the car door for her, and for me.

We turn up at the restaurant and all sit down, the boys begin to fight over a menu because they wanted to pick first.

"Boys, knock it off" mum scolds and they smiled sheepishly.

"Sorry mum" Blake mutters with a pout.

She smiled at them, her eyes softening before carrying on to talk with dad.

"Sis" Liam whispers, "when you gonna tell them what happened?" He asked in a whisper.

"When I can tell them without getting angry" I say calmly, though I felt my insides burning with rage at the thought of what happened.

I didn't care what she said about Connor. If he "liked" me, then he should've believed me. It was what she said about my nan that made me angry.

"Are you okay, Sum. You're awfully quiet" she smiled softly at me. I saw Dad give me a worrying look too as he rested his head on mums shoulder.

They were still very much in love and looked like lovesick teenagers. I love their relationship, they hardly ever argue.

"I'm fine, I'll tell you what happened when we get home" I say with a sigh and mum nods, her lips twitching up into a small smile.

"You know, your dad and I love you so much, and we will support you with anything you want, okay sweetheart?" Mum asked and I nodded with a smile.

"So what if I was pregnant?" Blake asked making me laugh, along with everyone else at the table.

He didn't even laugh with us.

We get home after having dessert and I immediately change into some grey sweatpants and an oversized white shirt that belongs to dad.

I go downstairs and see mum and dad cuddled on the sofa, whispering sweet things to Each other.

They noticed me and made room between them and I sat down. My mum kissed my cheek and asked me again what happened.

Without crying, I calmly tell them what happened. From Connor- who I kind of had a thing with, till how Drew had to pull me off of Allison.

"Why didn't you tell us when it happened?" Mum looked extremely upset and I knew it was because of what Allison said. When we were best friends, she got kicked out of her house and mum and dad agreed for her to stag here. Mum treated her as her own too so when Allison was speaking about someone who mattered a whole lot to us, my mum felt nothing but disappointment.

My dad kissed my head, smiling down at me.

"She deserved it"

"Jesse!" Mum scolds, "You can't say that" she tried to hold in her laughter.

"I can say anything I want to baby" he smirks at her and I smile before kissing them both on the cheeks.

"I'm gonna get to bed early, I love you" I say.

Ever since my incident of slipping into a coma, we never say goodbye or leave without saying 'I love you'.

"I love you too, princess" dad gives me a huge hug and I smile.

"I love you too Sum. We aren't disappointed you got into a fight" she whispers when she hugs me, "I'm proud of how strong you are" she adds and I smile.

"Goodnight" I say before going into my room, having a shower and brushing my teeth.

When my head hits the pillow, I'm sound asleep.
