Norah had to make a big move to Raybourne City after an engagement arrangement between her family and the Chase family. She wasn't given the best welcome as everyone thought she was a country girl who wanted to dig gold by marrying into a wealthy family. All three sons of the Chase couple refused to have anything to do with her. They scoffed and belittled her, saying that she wasn't their type and they had better options to choose from. Unbeknownst to them, Norah was more than they thought she was. She had multiple careers going well for her. She was a renowned contemporary artist, an enigmatic hacker, a world-famous designer, a top racer, and even the founder of a widely-known luxury brand. She didn't need their goddamn money! Norah enjoyed working anonymously in different fields. But one day, her secret identities were exposed. The three brothers instantly made a U-turn. Janson, the eldest of them all, said so romantically, "I think we are a match made in heaven, Norah. If you get married to me, you will be the wife of the president of Chase Group." Simon, the third son, declared, "Norah, I can move mountains for you. I want to marry you even if I have to fight with my big brother." Hearing this, the second son, Darren was speechless. He still couldn't believe what was happening. "Are you guys being serious right now? You want to chase me after rejecting me? Ha-ha! It's too late!" Norah snorted coldly. She was fed up with the whole engagement thing, so she decided to leave. But before she could do so, the infamous playboy, Darren grabbed her by the arm. He refused to let her go despite her struggle. He stared her dead in the eye and smirked evilly. "You flirted with me, and now you want to leave? Over my dead body!"

Chapter 1 The Fiancee From The Countryside

The Chase family was one of the most powerful and wealthiest clans in Sorphis. Its master personally selected his granddaughter-in-law. The servants were all discussing who she was.

After all, the new granddaughter-in-law wasn't a wealthy woman but a country girl.

"I heard this country girl got lucky after saving Mr. Chase. He accepted her as his granddaughter-in-law to repay the favor."

"I wonder which of his three grandsons is unlucky to marry her."

"I'm sure this bumpkin must be rude and ugly. Even if she takes advantage of this opportunity and marries into the Chase family, she will be nothing but a mere joke."

Just as they spoke, a car trundled to a halt before them. Everyone stopped talking and unanimously turned to look at the car.

As soon as the door opened, a pair of slim legs slid out, then a slender waist and plump breasts came to view as a woman walked out of the car.

Everyone's eyes lit up in shock when they saw her smoking hot body.

But what surprised them more was her beautiful, angelic face. The servants had worked for the Chase family for many years and had met a lot of pretty young ladies. But everyone faded in comparison to the woman standing before them.

"Who is this?"

"I wasn't told any affluent lady would visit us."

"Is this Norah Bector?"

Everyone fell silent when they heard that.

They exchanged glances with quizzical look on their faces. The woman looked noble. There was no way she would be an ignorant countrywoman.

The moment Norah Bector stepped out of the car, she saw people pointing at her and whispering. However, she remained unfazed. She picked up her bag from her seat and was about to step into the house.

Seeing that, the servants darted to her and stopped her. A middle-aged servant picked up the disinfectant bottle and sprayed it all over her.

"Disinfect your clothes before stepping inside!" She cast a scornful look at Norah. "Miss Bector, I must remind you the Chase family's lifestyle is different from yours. We live a principled life here, and our people are sophisticated. Just because you have Mr. Chase's support does not mean you can be disrespectful to any member of the family."

The moment she finished speaking, Kristine Chase, Norah's future mother-in-law, and Debby Chase, Norah's future sister-in-law, arrived.

Debby felt a pang of jealousy in her heart at the mere sight of Norah. She heard her grandfather had chosen a countrywoman and didn't expect her to be so beautiful.

However, she felt better after seeing Norah's cheap clothes.

Irrespective of how beautiful she was, Norah was just a country girl.

Debby looked her up and down and sneered. "Gosh, you can't even wear decent clothes. I don't know what Grandpa sees in you."

Norah ignored her and asked, "Where are the other Chases?"

Her nonchalance irked Debby. "All my brothers are busy," she snapped. "They are obviously at the company. Do you think you're important enough for us all to welcome you?"

Kristine raked her gaze across Norah from head to toe. Then, she took a card from her bag.

"Debby is right. Now that you're living here from now on, you can't wear such shabby clothes anymore. Here, there are five hundred thousand on this card. Use it to buy some decent clothes. I don't want you to embarrass our family."

Norah took the card, smiled, and tossed it into her bag. "Thank you."

Her calm demeanor infuriated Kristine and Debby. Norah, however, ignored them and walked into the house.

Norah looked around the place that was her future home. She was satisfied. She slumped on the sofa, took out her mobile phone, and transferred five hundred thousand to someone.

"I want you to get me a dress right away. Hurry up!"

"Are you kidding me? You have never purchased clothes that are less than two million. What do you expect me to get for five hundred thousand? Lingerie?"

Norah couldn't help but smile. "I have no choice. It's my future mother-in-law's request."

"What? Have you thought about it? Are you going to marry into the Chase family?"

"Well, this family is interesting," Norah replied.

Norah was busy texting and didn't notice Debby complaining to Kristine.

"Mom, look at her! She has no manners. I don't know what has gotten into Grandpa's mind. He could have given her money to repay the favor. Why does he want to make that bumpkin a part of our family? He is old and has lost his mind-"

"Shut up!" Kristine cut her off. "Don't you dare disrespect your grandfather. It will only cause you unnecessary trouble."

Debby immediately shut her mouth.

Kristine agreed with Debby. But as an elder, she had to seem decent. "Arrange a room for Norah," she ordered the servant.

Debby followed the servant upstairs.

Just as the servant was about to clean the guest room, Debby pointed at the next room and smiled. "This one is good."

The servant's face flushed with embarrassment. "But that is Mr. Darren Chase's room..."

"You don't have to show respect tohim. He is just an illegitimate son! Do what I say without asking unnecessary questions."

Debby glowered. She felt a villager and an illegitimate son would be an ideal match.

Chapter 2 The Wrong Room

"Miss Bector, I have cleaned your room. It's the innermost room on the third floor.

Norah checked the time on her phone and asked, "Already? Are you sure you have cleaned it up?"

"Come with me," the servant urged her. "With all due respect, you are a woman from the countryside. So you better don't demand much from me."

Norah looked at the servant and smiled. "Look, I'm a guest of the Chase family. Aren't you afraid I'll tell your master that you've been neglecting me?"

She sounded calm yet deterrent.

The servant shuddered in fear.

She looked Norah up and down, wondering how a woman from the countryside could emanate such a strong aura. She was intimidating.

The servant quickly shook her head.

"I'm sorry. I only wanted to take you to the room so you can go to bed early. Nothing else."

Realizing the servant was intimidated, Norah looked away and stood up with her bag. "Let's go," she said calmly.

The servant breathed a sigh of relief. For a moment, she felt all this had been an illusion. After all, how could a countrywoman frighten her?

The moment Norah stepped into the room, she immediately sensed something was wrong.

Norah quietly looked around. The room looked austere and tidy but seemed a bit out of place in the house. There was a wine cabinet in the room and hence didn't seem appropriate for women.

As expected, her gaze fell on a man's razor in the bathroom.

Just then, her phone chimed with a message.

"I have arranged the dress for you and will have it delivered to you in a few days. By the way, who is the lucky man?"

Norah replied, "I haven't seen them yet. I want you to collect information about all three of them. The more detailed, the better."

"Okay, on it. I'll send the information right away," the person replied.

A couple of minutes later, Norah received information about the three young bachelors of the Chase family.

She clicked the file and found it had more information than she expected. Apart from their photos and basic information, the file contained information about their growth and love experiences as well.

The three young bachelors of the Chase family were different in all aspects but one: their looks. They were all handsome-especially the illegitimate son, Darren Chase, who was rumored to be neglected by the Chase family and the biggest playboy of the town.

Judging from his past experience, Norah concluded he was a useless playboy. But the man looked like a Greek god. His face was perfect in every aspect.

Norah knew Debby must have chosen Darren as her partner.

However, she let go of it and deliberately asked the servant to unpack her luggage. She sat in a comfortable corner and picked a bottle of vodka.

She had a hunch that it was going to be a fun night.

The house was quiet at night.

Darren returned home, reeking of alcohol.

He came home later than usual because he heard that his grandfather had brought a woman home and that he might become her future husband.

He wasn't interested in getting along with a strange woman, so he deliberately stayed late at the nightclub to avoid talking with her.

After returning to his room, Darren took a cold shower and lay on the bed, ready to sleep.

But as soon as he rested his head, he felt something strange.

He fumbled over the bed and felt someone lying beside him as a faint scent of perfume filled his nostrils. A woman was lying beside him.

The next moment, he immediately sat up. But before he could move, the woman rolled over and pressed herself against his body.

"Who are you?" Darren tried pushing her away.

However, he felt a soft hand caressing his cheek. "Don't move."

His blood ran cold when he heard the seductive voice. The warm breath blowing against his neck made his body tingle.

Before Darren returned to his senses, he felt the hand trail down, brushing against his neck and finally gripping his waist

He immediately sat up and turned on the lamp on the bedside table. "You shameless woman!"

However, the words froze in his throat when he saw the woman in the bed was fast asleep.

Her long locks framed her beautiful face. It looked like she was unaware of what happened.

Darren couldn't help but wonder who she was.

Chapter 3 You'll See

After calming down, Darren quickly realized that this woman was none other than the woman his grandfather had chosen. He also noticed that the air reeked of alcohol and it wasn't coming from him.

Just then, his gaze landed on the empty bottle on top of the bedside table.

She had finished the vodka he had treasured for years!

This woman's presence in his room made alarm bells go off in his brain. Knowing that something was definitely off, Darren turned around and headed for the door.

Unexpectedly, it was locked from the outside. It seemed that someone wanted it to look like he had done something with this woman tonight.

While Darren was racking his brains for a solution, he suddenly felt a pair of slender arms around his waist.

As soon as he turned around, his eyes met hers. There were lights in her eyes, but he couldn't tell if it was tempting or alarming.

At the same time, he felt an indescribable sense of familiarity.

This pair of eyes were so similar to the girl's eyes in his memory.

"Who the hell are you?" Darren couldn't help but blurt.

The woman didn't answer. Instead, she just smiled at him and asked in a slurred voice, "Where do you think you're going?"

Darren was about to say something, but the next second, he let out a muffled groan.

This woman bit him!

Though she didn't bite him hard, it was still enough to make Darren freeze on the spot.

"Hey, you're pretty good-looking..." the woman mumbled, burying her beautiful face into his chest and rubbing her cheek against it.

He could feel her soft lips pressing against his chest.

Soon, the crotch area of his pants became unbearably tight.

In the spur of the moment, Darren pushed the woman away and bolted out of the window without looking back.

No good could come out of a drunk woman.

Unbeknownst to him, as soon as he left, the woman suddenly straightened up and stopped pretending to be drunk. She walked to the window and watched him run with great interest.

Truth be told, Norah was surprised.

The rumored playboy was unexpectedly pure!

And he was athletic, hastily making his way down from the third-floor window.

How interesting!

Early the following morning, Debby rushed to Darren's room excitedly. She didn't even stop to eat breakfast first.

Kristine happened to be coming out of her room when she saw Debby bounding down the hall. Seeing this, she couldn't help but grab Debby's hand and ask in confusion, "What's gotten into you? Why are you running around so early in the morning?"

Debby shook off her hand and smiled proudly. "You'll see!"

"What?"

Before Kristine could react, Debby had someone unlock the door to Darren's room. Without so much of a knock, she walked in directly.

If a lot of people caught Norah and Darren sleeping together, then they'd have no choice but to get married.

"Hey, why aren't you guys up yet? It seemed that you two had a good time last night, huh! No wonder-"

Before Debby could finish her words, she stopped abruptly in her tracks.

Instead of seeing a couple in bed, she found only Norah, who had just woken up.

Norah rubbed the sleep from her eyes and looked at the intruders with a small smile. "Is it normal for you guys to wake up your guests so early in the morning? That's fine, but next time, please knock first. I might not be dressed decently next time."

Debby's expression darkened. She rushed up and lifted the quilt before Norah could react. Then she asked the servants to look for Darren in the bathroom, but it was empty.

Impossible! She had seen Darren come back last night and had locked the door herself. How could he have disappeared?

"What the hell?" Debby turned to question Norah angrily. "Where is he?"

Norah put on an innocent look and asked, "Where is who? I was the only person in this room since last night!"

"No, that's impossible! I saw Darren come back last night with my own eyes..."

Before she could finish her words, a magnetic voice interrupted her, saying, "Debby, how could your eyesight be so bad at such a young age?"
