FLASHBACK OF REGRETS.

The cries of babies were heard , it was as if all the babies in the hospital were having a bad day.

There was this particular lady, Jessica, in a ward who was in serious labor but it seems like the nurses and doctor had some emergencies and have not attended to her.

" It shall never be well with you Michael, you will suffer for this pain you caused me.

After all the promises you made to me still you are not even beside me even when I needed you most".

Jessica cursed Michael Myers, her ex lover with so much pain in her voice .

She was still in the Ward and she kept on breathing really hard and was in pain then she flashed back on all the promises given to her by her ex lover, Michael Myers .

Michael Myers, one of the big guys in the club house , who lavishes money as if money has been picked easily from the ground.

Jessica got to know Michael Myers from a clubhouse where she worked as a bartender.

From the moment Michael Myers saw Jessica as a new bartender, he called the attention of the clubhouse manager.

And told her, Mrs Laura, that he would like to know Jessica more and with that Mrs Laura nodded and left.

" Jessy darling" Mrs Laura called Jessica and signaled her to come over.

" Yes ma'am" Jessica responded with a polite manner.

" Seat and feel free " Mrs Laura said with so much happiness in her voice knowing fully well that once Jessica agrees to Michael Myers proposal.

She will be getting her own percentage and so Jessica sat down still not understanding what was going on.

Michael Myers on the other hand used eye signs to tell Mrs Laura to speak on his behalf but instead just looked away.

" Hi, how are you doing?" Michael Myers said to Jessica with so much nervousness.

" I am fine Sir, and you ?" Jessica replied with tension in her voice.

" Jessica this is Mr Michael Myers, I know you don't know him because you just started as a new worker here.

He is a very loyal customer of ours and he told me that he likes you and would like to know you more. I will leave you two to discuss better. "

With those statements Mrs Laura stood up immediately then collected the tray used to serve customers from Jessica and walked away.

There was silence between Michael Myers and Jessica.

" So you are Jessica right? " Michael Myers said, trying to start up conversations.

" Yes Sir, My name is Jessica Lynn" Jessica replied pointing to her tag name on her shirts.

"Hahaha, Oh dummy me , I didn't even see that" Michael Myers replied with so much happiness.

" I am really sorry Sir , I wasn't trying to make you look like a dummy or an illiterate I..."

Before she could complete her words she was cut off by Michael Myers.

" There's no need to apologize,you did nothing wrong but only trying to express yourself well with me and for the record I am Michael Myers not Sir".

Michael Myers told her not to apologize and not to call him sir.

" Okay, Mi..Mi..Mic.." Jessica still struggles to pronounce just his name without addressing him with Sir.

" Hey, look at me ,don't be afraid, okay I was the one who told you to call me by my name and not you just saying it". Michael Myers said with a calm voice.

" Okay Michael Myers," Jessica finally said.

" Can we go on a date ? You know what , we will be going on a date tomorrow and that's final" . He said with so much authority.

" But tomorrow isn't my day off so I don't think the date will still go on.." she said, trying to decline the date but was cut short by Mr Michael Myers .

" Don't worry about that , I will talk to your boss and I will come pick you up at your place don't ask me how I will know your place because I always have my ways

You can go". Michael Myers said gently but with a deep voice as if telling Jessica no one rejects him.

Jessica stood up gently and walked away feeling nervously as if Mrs Laura had been waiting for her to come out from the VIP,

Mrs Laura immediately held Jessica's by her arm and took her to the staff's room.

" So tell me what did he say, hope you accepted his proposal " Mrs Laura asked with so much interest.

" Ma'am, Michael Myers said he will be taking me on a date but I told him that I won't be on my off day but he insisted " Jessica said with a polite voice.

" Don't worry, you can take tomorrow as your day off and make sure you treat him so nicely and sweet , he is a nice guy and he will take care of you.

You won't lack anything for sure as long as you reciprocate his feelings,

In fact you can go home now and prepare for tomorrow dinner with Mr handsome". Mrs Laura said and giggled.

Jessica went to her locker room and started to change into her house clothes and then one of her colleagues,

Hannah,who had been observing everything that has been happening from the moment Mrs Laura called her till she went to her locker.

" Mhmm... mhmm Shining star , you just started working here and you have captured the heart of the richest dude in our bar.

So what is your evil plan for the next shining star?

Take him away and marry him off because he has money? or Squander his money and leave him broke?".

Hannah said with a frown showing all over her face.

Jessica didn't say a word to her but kept on taking things from her locker and when

Mrs Laura who had been watching Hannah from afar noticed that she tried to be troublesome to Jessica and Mrs Laura, walked up to them.

" Hannah, is this your locker? Are you done serving the VIP's ? or do you want to be fired? " Mrs Laura said, facing Hannah and giving her an angry face.

" No ma a.. ma'am, I am sorry but I will get back to work now " she walked away.

" You see darling, don't let this golden opportunity pass you by.

Every girl here will wish to have such an opportunity just like you, so be wise and use it for your benefit.

Have a blissful night, sleep well, be beautiful and dream about Mr handsome".

Mrs Laura told Jessica and bid her goodbye before walking away.

Clothes were scattered on the floor, right, Left and center.

Jessica was tired of testing dresses upon dresses just to look good for the dinner date, already frustrated so she sat on the bed.

Jessica Hands was under her chin and she was just scanning the room with her eyes and wondering how she made such a mess within some minutes.

And then her roomie,Catherine,came out of the bathroom and was surprised to see what Jessica had done to their room.

"Jessica, what's going on here?Why is our room in a mess? I just left here a few minutes ago.

I hope you are okay, are any of your belongings missing?". Catherine asked Jessica to know what the problem is.

"Catherine, I am in a mess,you don't even care to ask me the reason I have not gone to work yet".

Jessica said, giving Catherine the face of not caring about her, Jessica.

" I am sorry, it is not like I don't care about you, the reason I did not bother to ask was because I was thinking you took an excuse from your workplace ". Catherine said with so much concern.

" You know what , let me just tell you the reason I scattered our wardrobe was.

Because I will be going on a date and I can't find something to wear ". Jessica told Catherine shyly .

" Oh ohh and who is taking our Reverend sister out? " Catherine Exclaimed and tried making a joke of Jessica.

" There was this guy who saw me in the clubhouse where I just started working as a bartender and said we should go on a date.

I could not decline his offer because my manager is aware of it and In support.

That reminds me, we never discussed when he will be coming over to pick me up ". Jessica explained in detail for Catherine to understand.

" Wow.. wow, come let me dress you up, in fact you can wear my dress."Catherine said and giggled.

Catherine then went to the wardrobe but to the direction her clothes were being hung,

Catherine gently started checking the clothes that will be good for Jessica and finally she caught two dresses that she thinks will be perfect for Jessica.

" Here try this on, put on the red first and if that isn't good then the Blue dress must be the right one. "

Catherine said and gave Jessica two of her dresses to go test and see which is good.

Jessica felt so nervous in their change room, to Jessica she felt the gown was

Short and exposed but had no choice but to wear it to the dinner night and when she was done wearing the red gown.

It was an easy floating long gown which had a slit that stopped at her upper thigh so she came out to show Catherine.

" Wow... you look so beautiful and your features are perfect oh my God,

My gown fits you better than I who is the owner, you will be wearing this not the Blue."

Catherine said surprise and Jessica's cheeks turned red.

" Thank you" Jessica said to her roommate and went to sit on their hair dressing seat.

Catherine took it upon herself to style Jessica's hair , giving it a middle parting after which Catherine started to make Jessica up but with just light makeup.

When she was through making Jessica up,

Catherine then went to get a black high wedge shoe for Jessica and a small red purse.

As Jessica was done putting her legs into the shoes then a car started honking then stopped.

Jessica then knew he had arrived and she thanked Catherine and then picked up her purse and phone and headed out.

When Jessica got to where his car was parked, Michael Myers unlocked the other side of the car for Jessica to get in .

" I must confess, you are beautiful, Jessica". Michael Myers said sincerely.

Jessica just blushed to his compliment but did not say a single word.

As they got to the expensive hotel, Michael Myers took her to a VIP hall which he had already paid for.

As they got to the hall ,a big table full of different varieties of sea foods and they got seated.

A waiter came to the Large table and uncovered the plate and opened four varieties of wine and they were served some food on their plate,and they began to eat.

Still eating, Jessica noticed that she was becoming tipsy and she then asked

Michael Myer if the wine she chose contained alcohol and he nodded gently then Michael Myers realized that she didn't take alcohol.

The wine was doing its work so fast that Jessica became drunk and started gibbering.

Michael Myers then took her to his penthouse in that hotel.

Immediately Jessica got into the room, she pulled off her shoes and clothes just leaving just undies on and went to the bed and lay down.

But Michael Myers couldn't take his eyes off her and then he slept with her.

After which he took her to the bathroom, showered her , helped her with her undies and dress.

He did as if nothing happened because he knows that she won't be able to recall anything that has happened and even if she eventually does, it would have been late already.

Three months later, Jessica was glowing so much that Catherine called her and sat her down then asked her when was the last time she saw her monthly flow? which Jessica could not recall the last time.

Catherine then went to her first aid box and brought out a pregnancy test trip and gave it to Jessica and when the results were ready it was confirmed that she was pregnant.

Jessica called Michael Myers but there was no reply and she went to his penthouse since she doesn't know where he lived but he wasn't there.

Jessica got information from one of the staff in the hotel that Michael Myers had traveled out of the country.

She got devastated and went home to Catherine crying both her manager

Mrs Laura was of no help since then she has been suffering with the pregnancy after this flashback, she cried even more.

Suddenly a light started glowing close to Jessica and she freaked out because it wasn't just a light but also a lady was in the light.

" Please don't kill me ". Jessica said In fearful voice thinking it's an angry ghost looking for its killer.

" The babies you are to be born, the one with the gold hair blonde , immediately she's out you should request for hand gloves.

Her hands should always be covered, she shouldn't be allowed to touch any human as long as it born of a woman "

" And the orb you stole from the train should be worn on her neck to make sure the orb has been taken care of," the ghost said in a gentle voice.

" But who are you? '' Jessica asked still in serious labor but she got no response from the ghost as it disappeared.

As the ghost went its way , Jessica Still in pain,Jessica pondered on what the lady had told her and then wondered what mystery the orb she stole from a lady in the train holds.

She just couldn't stop thinking about everything that had just happened to her.

First, she was facing her pregnancy all alone.

Second, she was in labor a few minutes ago and a ghost appeared to her telling her what to do when she eventually gives birth.

And now this same child had killed a nurse, she was still trying to compose herself.

She didn't understand, what she stole from the lady on the train was just ordinary jewelry that was not even fancy.

She planned to sell it but it did not work out because it was rejected by all the jewelry stores she had taken it to as if it had been cursed.

''But come to think of it, who was that lady she stole the orb from , it was like she was not from this world of ours.

Her hair was so silky and her skin so milky, her eyes an.. and.. yes her ear looks like that of an elf.''

'' And what was the warning she came to give me? What was the appearance and disappearance all about, what have I gotten myself Into? ''.

With such thoughts and thinking, Jessica became restless and then her water broke

Which means the baby will soon be out , she kept exhaling in and out to keep herself going.

With so much strength, Jessica pushed and her baby head was out and she pushed again and the baby was finally out,

When Jessica stretched her head to see which of the twins was out.

It was the twin with brown hair and was crying seriously, Jessica then carried the baby and placed the baby beside her.

And then she pushed again and the second baby was out.

But Jessica left the baby there at the same spot she was born but used a blanket to cover her .

Just as Jessica was done wrapping the second baby , two nurses came in to check if Jessica's water had broken but instead the nurses saw beautiful twins on the bed .

The first nurse rushed to the first twin close to Jessica and the other nurse went to the second twin , who was placed at the extreme end of Jessica's bed .

Immediately the nurse touched the baby with gold hair, she then started bleeding from her nose and was coughing out blood.

" Nurse Camilla, your nose is bleeding" the first nurse said In a sacred manner .

" Nurse Helen, I think.. think.. I am feeling.."Nurse Camilla said with her eyes closing gradually.

Nurse Camilla touched her nose after which she fell to the ground dead.

Nurse Helen then rushed to her then called the attention of other nurse's, the nurse didn't remember that a patient had given birth.

Jessica remembered what the lady who appeared to her told her.

So Jessica quickly wrapped the baby's hands with small clothes she found in the ward.

She went to the bathroom to wash herself and make use of sanitary pads and she carried her twin's then took her phone and quietly left the hospital.

When she got home , the first thing she did was to lie down the babies in a far position so the gold blonde would not be able to kill the other baby .

When Jessica got inside the room was quiet, lonely and her bed was still In a little mess because she did not arrange the bedsheets and duvet before leaving.

Catherine left her to go to merge rent with another girl in another apartment.

The money Jessica has was the little she got to save before she was pregnant and now she needs to take care of herself and her babies.

She went to the fridge to go take some cabbage salad to eat , as she was eating.

Jessica knew after that salad she would be eating that morning by nine o'clock am on the dot.

There isn't any money she could use to get food in the house.

But the food wasn't her problem now , Jessica's problem was how to get rid of that baby who she believed had killed the nurse in the hospital.
