Chapter 1 THE ARRANGED BRIDE.

I shifted back into my wolf's form with the chilly breeze blowing through my long hair as soon as I got back from the woods.

I surveyed my surroundings with my shining blue eyes before putting my clothes on my slim, curvy body and tying my blonde hair into a ponytail.

Thank the moon goddess, my father did not catch me.

I wiped off my pink lips with the back of my hand to get rid of any stain of me eating chicken and little drops of drinks on it.

That red wine tasted so sweet back at the festival, I thought.

I then took out my mouth spray, which I held in the back of a tree in the woods, and grinned.

What a smart wolf I was.

Now, no one will ever know I went outside for the moon festival.

I grinned with so much pride, I could feel my nose getting longer in each passing second because of how proud I was.

I snickered and strolled to the wall of my enormous, luxurious duplex, ready to fly over it with my claws.

I jumped over the fence and landed on the ground on my feet with my fangs in wolf style, ready to feast on her prey.

I hope to not see any of my bodyguards or my parents because I will be in so much trouble if I'm caught outside by them.

They will surely have my head.

I looked around myself once more to make sure no one was watching me.

"Luciana!" my father yelled at me from behind.

I stopped in my tracks.

Molly crap! Shit! Damn. Why was he outside by this time? I thought he went out for his special meeting with the elders of the clan.

I tightly shut my eyes with my heart beating at a rapid rate and wishing the earth would just open up and swallow me whole.

I couldn't even look at him. How did he find me? How did he know I went out?

My gosh! I don't want to hear all this nagging and shit from my father on this cool evening which I was having the best time of my life.

Why did the moon goddess give me this sort of parents who are demanding and quite strict?

Remind me of the reason I was born and brought up in this world again.

"I am talking to you, Luciana. Turn back and face me,' he roared.

I opened my eyes and shut them one more time and turned to him with hope I get no scolding this time around.

"Ummm...yes. Oh, father, it is you. I didn't know you were there.' I forced out a smile with a little fake cough and pretended to not have noticed him.

How did he know I sneaked out? Could Emily have snitched on me to our father?

Gosh! That little thing.

Why wasn't I seeing Rayson around as well? I thought he would be here to cover up for me.

Damn. My father's nose of snorting and catching on to a wolf's scent is something else.

He must have sniffed my pheromones around this building.

"Are you stupid? Do you think I am a fool you could tell such lies to?'

I must have pissed him off with my attitude.

"No, Father, I thought it was..."

"Where were you?" he questioned solemnly, with a raised eyebrow.

"I..." I stuttered.

If I were to lie to him, my punishment would be so much worse than it is.

For him to ask for my whereabouts shows he knows where I went.

"Cat go your tongue, Luciana?' He glared at me with his red eyes, as if he was ready to punch me in the face any moment from now with his enormous fist.

Despite being an Alpha, my father has a youthful, bulky body with tattoos on his neck.

Shoulder-length black hair, toned white skin resembling a rock.

A clenched jaw, a beard, and a face that wears one of the most frightening expressions I have ever seen.

Even now, I find it hard to get accustomed to seeing my father like this.

Everyone fears him as the leader and Alpha of the pack.

I wonder how my mother could stay and get married to a stone iced-Alpha like this.

How did they even meet? What was their relationship like, anyway?

"I went to the werewolves' festival to have fun.' I grinned to lighten up the atmosphere because I was sinking into this gloomy look of his.

Yeah, I know that's right.

I had sneaked out of my home to go to the woods to get rid of my boredom.

I attended the festival which I had so much fun with the people of the clan, sharing lots of food and drinks.

And dancing all night around a huge fire.

It was fun to be at the festival with everyone.

Instead of getting stuck in my home thinking about how I'm going to go to the moon festival for fated mates.

Which is going to not exist for me because I despise fated mates.

And the bonds which kill werewolves all the time if the other wolf doesn't cooperate with the other.

The moon festival is all about fated mates, and it terrifies me.

And I don't want to get married according to my parent's wishes, because that's what they want for me.

An arranged marriage.

They care a lot more about their reputation than their children.

They don't care if I'm fated to anyone or not, all they want me to do is to get married to an Alpha to carry on the bloodline.

And getting married to a stranger is absurd, and I also don't think I am fated to be with anyone.

Not at the least, but they would never understand how I feel.

"You are having fun? We are busy preparing a suitor's party for you to find one of the Alphas who would get married to you and be your husband. You are busy having fun?' his haughty tone froze my body in one motion.

"Father..."

"You are an adult and full-fledged wolf. It is high time you stop behaving like a child and act like a civilized wolf. Do you understand me?'

"Yes, father.' I looked down at my feet, out of embarrassment.

"The next time I see you roaming around the clan again, Luciana, I will ground you. Don't let me repeat myself. Respect yourself as the daughter of an Alpha. You are not a commoner."

.

Chapter 2 THE ARRANGED BRIDE (PART TWO)

"But father..."

"Get inside this instant. We don't have time. We have a lot of suitors and visitors waiting to see you.' He walked past me and entered the elevator while I struck out my tongue behind him and rolled my eyes in annoyance.

Who else could wait to see me?

I'm not interested in seeing anyone. I hope it's not one of those arrogant alphas asking for my hand in marriage as if they own the world, because this time I will love to put their butt on a hot pot.

"Are you still standing there? Go to your room now, take a good bath; you reek of wolf smell; put on some decent clothes; dress remarkably; and appear before the ballroom. Do you understand?'

"But father...."

He glared at me.

My heart skipped as I swallowed, knowing disobeying him and complaining right now wasn't a good choice.

"Yes, Father.' I bowed.

"Off you go. Don't be late," he firmly instructed.

"Alright, Father." I stopped midway and watched him go to the ballroom.

I turned left so I could dress up for these losers who call themselves alphas; they were getting on my nerves these days.

Can't they look for someone else to get married to? Must it be me? And why are there so many of them?

Should I get married? Why can't my parents just let me be?

I got to my room and saw my younger sister sitting down on my bed, watching some anime movies.

"Emily.' I called and shut the door behind me with a frown.

Why is she in my room?

"Hi, Luciana. I'm glad you are back. Dad and Mom instructed me to help you dress up luxuriously. If you can't dress up, I will go call the maids and the stylists to help you." She quickly explained.

"You mean dress up for those man whores?' I heaved a long sigh and laid down on my bed.

Emily laughed. "You seem unhappy, sis.'

"Why wouldn't I be unhappy? This is not funny, Emily. I don't want to go to this ballroom. I will end up rejecting all of them. I don't even love any of them. I'm pissed at how a lot of them keep coming despite my declinations.' I sighed and sat down on my bed with a little headache. "If only they knew who I truly was?' I muttered under my breath.

I know I shouldn't be complaining, but I don't like this marriage stuff; I got the time of my life to live.

"If it pisses you so much about them, cut off their crotches so they won't mess with you again. You know you could become a villain in the pack so they wouldn't mess with you by asking for your hand in marriage."

I laughed at her silly jokes. "Our parents are gonna have my neck after that happens.' I smiled and sighted my best friend coming towards me.

"You are so silly, Emily,' she muttered with a low chuckle.

"What's up, Elena?' I beamed with excitement as she got close to me.

"What's up to you, Luciana?' she winked at me and said. "Now, that's the way to deal with alphas like that. They never learn until we teach them a lesson.' Elena shrugged her shoulders as she hugged me with my hands wide open after I jumped out of bed.

"I wish I could teach him a lesson, you know. That would be a great idea." I uttered as she laughed and pulled away from me.

"Tell me, what do you need me to do to them? So, I can bust their asses for you.'

"Hey, don't come up with anything rashly. This is my sister's coronation to be crowned the Alpha of the Realms; don't spoil it.' My little sister intervened with a smug smile.

"If you cared about your sister that much, you wouldn't be helping her dress up for Alphas who want nothing but to bed her because of her status. We all know they are coming for her hand in marriage for their selfish interests. They are not coming for her."

Elena Boris has been my childhood best friend since we were kids, though we are the same age. She is older than me by a couple of months.

She is an Alpha and her father is the leader of the Dark Side Pack, who is also my father's best friend.

Though she is a kick ass Alpha, I love how determined and confident she is.

Nothing easily shakes her morale.

She is a slim, curvy lady with dark green hair, black eyes, pink lips.

She is almost six feet tall, pointed nose, attractive features, and an oval shaped expression.

She is a little bossy and nonchalant, but she is a nice Alpha who supports me in every way.

She has been there for me for years and she also helps my little sister, Emily, and my little brother, Jake.

She wore a black leather outfit, black shoes and polished nails with the color green and her favorite color is black.

I sort of love her outfit. Looks great.

"I care about my sister, but this is the rules of the realms and we have to follow it. Anyway, guess what, big sis.' Emily's cheeks flushed with excitement as she ran to me and held my shoulders.

"What are you doing?'

"Lycaon Amarok is in the ballroom.' My sister revealed.

My heart skipped a beat. What was he doing here?

"What?" I whispered.

"Yes, rumors are saying he wants to ask for your hand in marriage, which I know you will refuse, but isn't that cool?'

What is so cool about this?

Lycaon Amarok?

I heard about how arrogant and self centered he was?

His reputation is nothing to write home about and I wonder why people still love him and act like a puppy around him?

Of course I understand he is handsome, but he has an ugly heart.

He is a crafty Alpha along with his dirty soul, and he is a wolf of lies.

What could he possibly be doing here when we have hated each other so much since middle school?

To mock me or to ruin my reputation because that's what he's best at doing.

"And how is that my business if that jerk is in the ballroom?' I questioned sarcastically with a sigh, recalling how he used to be a son of a bitch.

"But he wants to see you. That's what I heard from one of my friends.'

Chapter 3 DENIED AFFECTION.

"It's none of my business, and I don't want to see his ass.'

"But he is the handsome Alpha in the whole of the Mackenzie Clan. I know him for being famous, a genius, and kind-hearted.' My sister squealed in excitement.

I rolled my eyes at her. Even my sister is one of those people who he charms and bends to his will and Elena had to shut her up for me.

Nice one.

"Oh, shut up! He's also known for taking advantage of girls, and playing with their hearts. How can you call such an Alpha a good and famous one?'

I rolled my eyes once again, ready to break that jerk's image she had constructed in her head.

"Listen, don't talk about him like that.' My sister defended him.

"I don't want to see you close to him again. With the way you are defending him, I hope this isn't going elsewhere.' Elena cautioned.

"Close to him?' I frowned and looked over at my little sister. "What is Elena talking about?'

"Nothing.' She avoided my face and played with her toes.

Elena chuckled. "Well, I caught her giving him gifts at the basketball field at school," she revealed.

"Are you serious right now? You were giving him gifts? What on earth is wrong with you?'

"I was just congratulating him for winning his first award at the field last week.'

"Emily.' I scolded.

"What?" She shrugged her shoulders as if she knew nothing about what I was going to talk about.

She must think I'm silly; well, I'm her older sister, so she would have to obey me.

"I don't want to see you close to him again. Don't let this repeat itself next time.'

"It's not as if you are dating him; why are you telling me to stay away from him? You are not even interested in him. He's a nice alpha, and everyone knows him for that. I don't know why you guys are hating on him when he's not harming anyone. Yes, I agree girls surround him." She then rolled her eyes. "Those Omegas, Betas, and Alphas all the freaking time, but he is handsome and loaded; that's why everyone rushes to him. I am in love with him. He is the one I want.'

"Shut up your dirty mouth, Emily!" I yelled at her. "You are an Omega. Lycaon derives pleasure from manipulating Omega's emotions. He's a playboy who has never lifted a finger in his entire life and walked on his father's wealth; he doesn't care if you are in love with him or not. He doesn't give a damn about anything but himself. I've known him for years; I've been in the same class as him. He loves to see Omegas suffer. I heard a lot of stories about him, so I know what he is capable of. Don't tell me what to do. I am your elder sister, and you will do as I say, with no objections.'

"Well, you are saying all these things to me because you hate him and don't love him. You can't lecture me on who to love.'

"Stop acting so childish; you are better than this,' Elena added with a chuckle.

"I'm not in love with him, nor do I hate him to the extent of having him killed. I care about you. You are my sister. I wouldn't want one of my blood to get used by a horny dog who can't control the rod between his pants because of his charms or whatever. I'm only doing this for your protection, so don't do this and listen to me.'

"But..."

"Don't argue with me.' I sternly warned her with annoyance.

I know my sister has a crush on him, but he is a red flag and she needs to understand I'm doing this for her protection. If I don't stop her, only the moon goddess knows what will happen next and guess what. That jerk would let her fall into a pit just to save himself when she's in a big mess.

We all heard the door open and my mother came in with a frown on her face.

"What are three of you doing here and not well dressed when the ballroom and a party are going on? Luciana, why haven't you dressed up yet, huh?

We were so busted.

'What are you doing, making noises instead of doing something important and productive in your life?'

We all hurriedly separated and pretended to be serious about searching for our clothes and what to put on when we had absolutely no idea on what to wear for the ball.

"I want to see all of you downstairs in the next thirty minutes. I'm calling the hairstylist upstairs this instant to clear up this mess."

My mother slammed the door so hard in annoyance.

We all laughed and felt relieved she didn't come busting our asses.

"Come on, let's quickly dress up before she comes up here again.' Emily hurriedly suggested. "I don't wanna lose my phone.'

My mother is just the same as my father. They both take things so seriously.

If my mother, as beautiful as she is, doesn't know how to smile often, she will get a lot of wrinkles before she realizes it.

Life is short. Live to the fullest.

The hairstylist and our makeup artist came over to us and dressed us up for the ballroom.

And what kept going through my thoughts was this stupid Alpha, Emily and Elena kept talking about.

Lycaon Amarok.

I hate his guts. I don't want to see him close to my sister again.

He's bad news.

We all dressed elegantly and happily attended the ball.

I saw people's luxurious dresses in them and having conversations with their expensive wine.

They were all so beautiful.

I walked through the dance floor and rejected any Alpha who asked for a dance.

Everyone should leave me alone.

I just wasn't in the mood.

The place felt so stuffy that I excused myself and went to the balcony to get some fresh air.

I held my red glittering ball gown with my silver heels on and went to the balcony, pulling it off my feet.

I needed some air, and this is how I'm going to get it.

I released my gown, rested my hands on the pavement, and smiled, inhaling the fresh air.

It felt good.

I am myself when I'm alone, but in public, I'm someone else trying to keep up with my father's reputation and dreams of trying to be an Alpha.

My parents have always wanted an Alpha since they are more respected and higher in rank in society than the Omegas.

Unfortunately, I and Emily turned out to be Omegas.
