Soft green Meadow awakened with houses beautifully decorated mostly with flowers, enjoying the heavenly scenery and beauty of nature was the Peach Moon pack blessed with masses of wolves filling the pack community, they were said to be the most peaceful and dangerous pack ruled by the Alpha, Alpha Sherlock who ruled the pack with a strict power causing dominance and fear and setting rules that the members were so scared to defy, alongside him was the Luna, praised to be the daughter of the moon goddess because of her beauty and grace.
Ash their son was somewhat different from Alpha Sherlock, growing up he had a cheerful life and lived with it until now, playing in the woods was Ash searching for a young chocolate skinned girl with curly long hair and blue eyes.
Seeing her pale green dress pitching from behind a tree, he smiled to have found her after searching for 2 minutes.
"Gotcha" he said scaring her, she screamed and happily ran away from him with her tiny legs which weren't able to run a far distance from Ash, he caught her in no time and she fell to the ground giggling and laughing.
Their childhood days had always been eventful like this, with her by his side making him happy and lively. Sitting on the grass he watched her play with her hair, tugging it all backwards and tying it into a ponytail. She posed with the sweetest smile and sat close to him,
"Ash would we always be like this" she asked, her days were always blessed with him by her side, they have been unseperable after they met when he was five years old and till now she was still the most prettiest girl to him even though he was eleven now.
"Always" he leaned her tiny head on his shoulders and watched the waterfall afar off, it was their favourite view,
"I am scared that we might get separated" she belated, he was the Alpha's son and her rank in the pack was close to nothing to him, her parents were the pack's chief warriors and her status was nothing significant to the pack other than the Warrior's child.
"When I become the Alpha, I will make you my Luna and we will remain together forever" He held up his pinky finger and intertwined it with hers making a daring promise to her, she smiled at him and peaked her hands through his making a cross link with them.
She was rest assured that their forever would be an amazing one with them together, she closed her eyes and took a lung full of air and smiled imagining it in her head, for a kid who was eight, she had a vivid imagination of things.
"Do you want to play some more" he asked beaming with joy and excitement to chase her again, she blinked her beautiful eyes and watched his happy expression, though she was clearly tired, she couldn't turn him down. She nodded her head and ran into the woods shouting "You can't catch me"
"We will see about that" he chased after her, getting closer to her, he halted a bit and let her run as fast as her legs could carry her until he was certain that he could chase her again.
A loud and menacing growl echoed through the woods, they had found out that he was missing, Livey was so shaky that she stumbled to the ground in fear, it was the Alpha's roar which sent a shiver down to her body, Ash ran to her and picked her up,
"Can you walk back home" he asked, his father must already be angry that he was gone.
"Yes" she nodded and he sprinted to his feet towards the pack's castle which was in opposite direction of where her house was, Livey checked her bruised arm that was already healing, she turned her back but he was already gone.
How was he so fast to disappear and yet he couldn't catch her when they played, she turned back and took to her heels to avoid her mother's wrath from sneaking out of the house.
Ash climbed the windows of the Castle until he got to his room and made his way in,
"Welcome" Scarlett his mother said shocking him while sitting on his bed,
"Mom" he called hiding his dirty hands behind his back,
"Playing with Livey again" she asked with her face in a bit of a frown, he couldn't lie to her so he nodded his head in agreement and ran to wash his hands and feet.
"You do know that your father is mad at you for leaving the house and why do you like playing with only her"
There were so many ranked members kids who he could have played with in the castle but he choosed her and instead he would run into the woods each day just to meet her.
"Because I like her and when I grow up I will make her my Luna" he boldly said shinning his Snow White teeth at her.
She smiled back combing his ruffled hair, "You cannot make her your Luna if she is not your mate" she stated with a grin on her face trying not to sound offensive to him.
"You will see, she will be my mate and then I will mark her" he jumped on his bed and waiting for Alpha Sherlock his father to scold him as he usually does, wearing three tons of jeans to avoid the pain from his beatings with belt.
"I will leave you to rest, you can have your dinner after you have met your father" Scarlett closed the door behind her and her face turned into a scowl.
He was pretty determined to make a girl who he wasn't sure was his mate as his Luna, she was so angry at such fact.
Seven years later, the ceremony for Ash to finally met his wolf held, he had turned 18, waiting outside the castle and also in the hall were the members of the Peach moon pack hoping to see their Alpha's son wolf, Ash stood in the center surrounded by the Alpha, the Luna, the Beta and his mate, the Gamma and his mate.
He stood naked waiting for his wolf to speak to him, when he finally did he was thrilled,
"Hi Ash, my name is Hamish, we can do this together" Hamish his wolf said and soon cracking of bones were heard, standing tall on his four was a big black wolf.
Alpha Sherlock smiled, he was much bigger than his wolf giving him the satisfaction that Hamish and Ash would make a great Alpha. They caved a path for him and Hamish walked out through the open doors until he could be seen by his pack members, they were stricken in awe by how big he was, they all knelt down on one knee expressing their submission to the Alpha to be.
Hamish let out a dark and terrifying growl which shook the ground, Livey wasn't left out in such a ceremony, she stood outside the hall and could hear his growl, her man was all grown up, it would take three years later for her to get her wolf but she seemed excited about it, she was eager to be with Ash.
After the ceremony, Ash sat with the Alpha, Beta, Gamma and the Luna,
"I am very proud of you" Alpha Sherlock said, Ash wolf was certainly bigger than his which was a sign that he was meant to be an Alpha owing to the usual tradition.
"All that is left now is for you to find your mate and you can be made the Alpha and she also the Luna"
Ash thoughts swept to Livey, the idea that she would be his Luna made his heart beat faster, over the years their love for each other grew and they couldn't do without each other. He prayed in his heart that she was his mate, he couldn't wait to feel the sparks and tingles when they touched, to look into her eyes and be mesmerized by it, to mark her as his own and to protect her from harm keeping her by his side at all times.
Scarlett noticed the smile on his face and she knew why he was that happy, she excused herself from the meeting to make some pancakes for him.
"We look forward to seeing you display your abilities as an Alpha, you have already been trained to be a respectful Alpha but now your wolf will go through his own training to kill our enemies" Beta Marcus said with an undefying tone.
Ash affirmed with a nod waiting eagerly for them to finish their sermon, he couldn't wait to see Livey, it was almost time for their usual meeting by 3:00pm,
"Are you listening to me" Alpha Sherlock asked noticing his preying eyes staring out through the window.
"Yes I am" he answered with a serious tone trying not to be disrespectful to his father,
"Our Chief warriors will train you starting from tomorrow and you might not even have time for yourself anymore, I want you to devote your time and everything into this, it would mean a lot to me" Alpha Sherlock stated, he wanted his son to be more powerful than him making him a proud father who had trained him well, the Peachmoon pack weren't meant to slack down irrespective of the change in Alphas, he wanted his pack to still have the same status as always, domineering and dangerous as it has always been.
"Ash, you have seen how your father ruled this pack, do you promise to rule it the same way and even better, Alpha Sherlock might not be present throughout your life" Gamma Brett slipped, he was always fun of saying the most unusual thing at the worst moment.
"Are you insinuating that I would die" Alpha Sherlock lashed out staring angrily at him and he submitted in apology.
"I am sorry Alpha, I didn't mean that" he apologized.
Ash silently giggled, Gamma Brett was his best, he always knew how to make him laugh even at the saddest moment, he was the warmest and kindest person he ever knew, his childhood would be boring if he weren't there and not forgetting if Livey also didn't exist.
"Livey" his mind swept back to her, she must have been waiting long and would be angry at him.
"You are dismissed" Alpha Sherlock said and Ash calmly stood up not trying to show his relief for leaving them, he hastily walked through the corridor when Scarlett stopped him, "Have a bite of this pancake, I made a new recipe" she said.
He took a big bite and smiled, "Nice flavor" he recommended and rushed out, he ran straight into the woods where he met Livey sitting on a rock playing with her hair, she hadn't changed her usual habit of always combing her hands through her soft and curly hair.
"I am sorry I am late, we had a meeting" he said, she turned to meet his beautiful lightly brown eyes, dark long hair at his neck length wearing a tight polo with his muscles and chest almost visible. She smiled at him
"It's alright, I understand"
He sat beside her and they were quiet for a while until she spoke up, "Congratulations on meeting your wolf"
"Thanks" he replied, he felt quite awkward not talking about it first.
"Was it painful" she asked, everyone knew how painful it was when changing for the first time, it was something that most teenage wolves dreaded with their life's, some even have to get a spell from the pack witches to bypass the pain and change immediately.
"Very but also satisfying" he answered and Hamish purred in his head, they were both one and they could hear each other's thought and feel almost everything together.
"So what is next" she asked drowsily, she hadn't slept last night because all she could think of was his wolf and how excited he would be.
"I have to find my mate and make her my Luna" he reached out to hold her hand and he couldn't feel the sensation of touching her, there was no spark neither a bolt of electricity coursing through his veins,
"What was happening" he thought.
"She isn't our mate" Hamish retorted sadly, he could feel how much Ash loved Livey and she looked perfect to them.
"What's wrong" Livey asked after he suddenly retracted his hands from hers, she was worried by such reaction.
"Nothing" he stuttered dreading what was happening, if she wasn't his mate then why did he feel so much love towards her than anyone else that he had ever met, he felt that it was the moon goddess bringing them together even from young.
He closed his eyes for a second and opened them to meet her fearful eyes, he quickly drew her to him, his heart ached to see her sad because of him.
"I promise you, there is nothing wrong" he said.
"Am I your mate" she suddenly asked startling him, he was dumbfounded for a second, Livey knew that if she was his mate he would be more than excited and would tell her immediately.
His lack of knowledge meant that she wasn't his mate.
"It doesn't matter now, all I am sure is that my heart yearns for you and you alone" he said sadly, something had to be wrong somewhere.
"We can't reject our mate because of her, it is forbidden" Hamish warned in a painful tone.
"What's the name of your wolf" she asked raising her head up to him.
"Hamish" he answered,
"Can I meet him" she asked and he obliged, within a few seconds, Hamish stood tall, Livey stretched her tiny hands to touch him and her succumbed to her touch waggling his tail in delight. Hamish loved the touch so much that he was purring, "So beautiful" she echoed and a soft whimper was heard.
Ash changed back and wore his clothes, he pulled her into his embrace and smiled at her, no matter what happens he wasn't going to lose her, he couldn't bear the thought of such a thing happening.
It would break her so much and he would also be shattered, but still he needed to find his mate, if he wanted to be the Alpha, it meant that he would make his mate the Luna breaking the promise he made to Livey.
She hugged him tighter as if almost feeling his pain from the embrace, his breathing was heavy but what she enjoyed the most was his masculine scent which would always linger on her after every meeting giving her sweet dreams at night.
"Even If you are not my mate, I won't ever abandon you" he said and tears rolled out of her eyes for such a cruel reality, he wasn't truly hers and it pained her to realize it.
"I will keep my promise to you" he wiped her tears and she responded to him, he cupped her face giving her a deep and longing kiss sending butterflies to her stomach.
"Let's meet here tomorrow" he said pushing her hair to the back and holding her hands. She agreed and he smiled,
He ran back to the castle leaving her there, Livey cried her eyes out after he left, it was a painful scene for her to figure out that she wasn't his mate, she had lived her life just to be with him but the moon goddess was too cruel to her.
Walking slowly back to her house, she thanked the stars that her parents weren't back, she laid on her bed with the silky soft sheets and stared at open space.
***
The next day, Livey waited for Ash but he never came, neither did he come the next day,
Days then turned into weeks and weeks into months, she wasn't allowed into the pack's castle unless she had an official appointment.
'Was he neglecting her' she thought.
Months turned into two and half year and she hadn't set her eyes on him, still waiting each day in the woods to see him but he never came.
'How could he avoid her for a two whole years' she cried feeling the pain each night before she slept.
Standing by the window and looking into the woods was Ash, he had grown taller and charmingly handsome still possessing his masculinity. He could see Livey sitting on a rock waiting for him, she had been doing that for two years now, his heart yearns for her, he wished to meet her and caress her face but he couldn't.
"I am glad you came to your senses and realize that she isn't your mate" Alpha Sherlock said standing close him.
After Scarlett found out that Livey wasn't Ash's mate, she immediately told him to reprimand Ash from making a mistake he would regret, rejecting his mate was forbidden in the Peach moon pack, they weren't a pack that would dare to defy the moon goddess blessing.
Ash kept silent staring at his father, the past two years had been stressful for him, he had through series of training until he couldn't keep up with himself anymore, in a few months the coronation ceremony would begin and he had just four months to find his mate and make her Luna.
Alpha Sherlock left him to his thoughts and he sat hazily on his bed with a picture of Livey in his hand.
If only he was given just one chance to see her, some days he would escape and go to the woods making himself unknown to her and watch her from afar, he didn't have the courage to face her neither could he utter a word to her.
Ash looked through the window again and she was gone, he checked his watch and it was time for dinner, walking down the stairs to the big dining hall for ranked members, the most intoxicating smell came to him and he was eager to know who that was, he quickened his pace until he saw a pretty young girl with black long hair and pale blue eyes, she slowly turned to him and smiled.
"Mate" Hamish purred in his head, they had found his mate and he was so excited.
Ash could feel Hamish jump around his head but his heart ached for Livey.
"Ash, look who we have here" Scarlett called to him, he had halted when he saw her trying to grasp the whole situation.
He walked closer to them and was more intrigued by her cherries mixed with strawberries scent,
"This is Gabrielle" Scarlett introduced,
"Hi, nice to meet you" he stretched his hand for an handshake and she obliged, he could feel the sparks from their contact and was certain that she was his mate. She gave him a soft smile and he smiled back. Scarlett was happy as she watched them, Ash had never smiled to a girl in two years after he separated from Livey, he was always cold and strict with everyone hardly uttering a word.
After the dinner, Ash and Livey were left to communicate with each other,
"You can feel it too" Gabrielle spoke out, she was already an adult and knew that he was her mate, she felt the tingles in her body when he touched her and his scent was all she could perceive.
"Why are you coming now" Ash asked in a vexed tone, couldn't she wait until after twenty five years then she could appear, by then he would no choice than to mate with Livey and make her his Luna.
Gabrielle misunderstood him and smiled, she thought that he was eagerly waiting for her to come to him.
"I am sorry that I kept you long, I just came back from studying abroad" she answered with a firm gaze at his sturdy chest.
Ash scuffed, does she think he cares that she was away or that she was back, he stood up and walked out of her, Gabrielle was stunned as she sat frozen.
'Why was he mad at her for that' she thought.
Ash walked back to his room when Scarlett blocked his path,
"So, do you like her" Scarlett asked oblivious that she was his mate.
"I have no choice, she is my mate" he said watching her leap for joy and he frowned walking away from her and into his room, why did she have to come back now, all he could think of was Livey, his heart was not ready to love another.
Though he felt the mate bond but his love for Livey was much stronger and she was even more beautiful compared to her.
"We can't reject our mate but yet we can't leave Livey, what do we do" Hamish asked, he could feel the same pain as Ash.
"I don't know what to do Hamish, I am so confused, now that I have found my mate, the coronation ceremony would be fixed to a much closer date" Ash groaned, his sadness could be expressed in his voice.
"We cannot lose her and yet we cannot have her" Hamish uttered.
That night, Ash was summoned before the Alpha,
"I heard that Gabrielle is your mate" Alpha Sherlock said seated on his chair in his office,
"Yes, who is she by the way" Ash took a seat opposite him and slouched on the chair.
"She is the Beta's best friend daughter, she just came back from studying abroad" Alpha Sherlock answered.
"With her being your mate you know what this means, the ceremony would be held much sooner than expected, I would advise that you get to know her well"
"Do I have to" Ash asked looking uninterested in knowing her,
"Is this about Livey again, how many times have I told you that she is not your mate and I would not accept her if you dared to make her your Luna, Unless you want to denounce the throne of your fathers and mate with her.
Who knows if she turns 18 she might also find her mate and forget about you" He roared at him in a warning tone.
Ash thought about it for a second, would Livey forget him if she found her mate, she wouldn't do that to him, she loved him so much to let him go like that, he thought.
"I will invite Gabrielle here tomorrow, stop with your stupid act and get to know her better.
It is time for you to be an Alpha" He said and dismissed him.
Ash walked slowly out of his office, cursing and muttering to himself.
Fire!
Fire!!
A house was up in flames with two adults in it, the people outside could hear screams and yells but no one could save them, they couldn't break through the barrier, the house was surrounded by mountain ash causing a barrier which wolves couldn't break.
Livey was walking towards her house with a cake in her hand when she saw her house up in flames,
"Mom, Dad" she ran towards the house but was blown back by the blue force field surrounding the house,
Her eyes turned red with anger, this wasn't an accident, it was murder.
Someone had killed her parents, she mustered all amount of strength that she had and ran towards the force field but was blown away again.
Dropping to her knees, she began crying, who could have done this to her, why would they want to kill her parents making her and orphan. Soon the screams were no longer heard which meant that the people inside were dead, that was when a witch came running with a guard to rescue them but it was too late, the witch broke the barrier and the guards dove into the fire in their wolf form and two bodies were brought out burnt to death and almost unrecognizable.
Livey ran to the bodies in the floor and began crying, her parents were gone, her life was shattered and she had no one else to be with her. Who would she run to, she had no friends nor did she have any relatives, she was now all alone in the peach moon pack.
No one agreed to take her home and she was alone with the bodies of her dead parents.
Much later the bodies were taken to the morgue and she wasn't allowed to see them anymore.
Ash heard of the commotion and snuck out of the castle to see what was going on, there he found Livey on her knees crying in front of her burnt down house which looked nothing like a house anymore. He ran to hug her from behind and she pushed him not knowing that he was the one.
"Hey Livey, its me" he brought her to light, she looked up to him and could see that he was really the one, he drew her closer to him and let her tears wet his shirt, he felt so bad for her, she had just lost her parents who were everything that she held dear.
Livey cried for two hours holding onto him, she was scared that if she left him then he would be gone again, Ash felt whole again with her by his side, he could feel at peace by just touching her.
Her sobs quieted down and she looked up to him, her gaze turned dark looking at him.
"What's wrong" he asked,
"You dare to ask what's wrong" she yelled pulling away from him, he stayed away from her for two and a half years and he dared to ask her what was wrong.
"Get out" she barked,
"Livey, it's me Ash" he said explaining himself walking closer to her, he hated the look on her face while staring at him.
She slapped him across the face, "You disappeared for a while and you dared to hug me and console me"
"I thought you needed a friend right now" he said,
"I may need a friend but just not you, stay away from me, I don't ever want to see you again" she yelled at him and pushed him away.
After he left, she fell to the floor again, "Please don't go" she begged, she didn't mean to send him away but she was so angry when she saw him that she lashed out on him. He had added more fuel to her wound by showing himself to her, her heart began aching more than before, for her parents and also for him.
Livey walked into her burnt down house, her room had nothing to offer, all her things were burnt and there was nothing she could carry, she walked to her parents room and found a necklace glowing in blue, it was her mother's, she picked it up and wore it.
With nothing for her to take again, she walked out of the house and into the woods where she slept on the rock shivering from the cold. She didn't know when a big set of arms carried her from there and into the castle.
***
"Where have you been young man" Scarlett yelled at Ash, he had been gone for a while and she waited eagerly for him to get back. She had wanted to talk to him about Gabrielle but realize that he wasn't there, she searched the whole castle for him until she got news that he was with that Livey again.
"Didn't you hear of the Fire outbreak" he answered taking off his shirt and tossing it into the washing machine.
"I did, but it isn't your job to take care of that, we have guards for that" she commented.
"If I am to be the Alpha, at least I should show that I am capable enough to take care of my pack" he answered in a husky tone.
"Whose house was it" she asked and he paused for a while, if he told her that it was Livey, she wouldn't believe what he said earlier about taking care of the pack.
"Does that matter" he asked back laying on his bed and looking coldly at her, he just needed to be left alone to think.
He felt so bad that Livey had rejected his help and refused to see him again.
"Gabrielle would be here tomorrow, I want you to try your best to please her, you know that she isn't used to things here because she had been gone for a long time but please be understanding" She said.
He nodded his head and gave a fake smile which put her heart to rest that he had accepted to do as she bid. She turned around and left and his face turned into a frown.
"Gabrielle this, Gabrielle that" he whispered, why wouldn't they just let him be, she was his mate and he would decide if he wants to please her or not, not them.
He closed his eyes and all he could see was Livey, the hurt in her eyes when she saw him. Hamish also felt sad and he kept silent without uttering a word.
They were both in a dilemma and confused on what to do, but one thing was for sure, they couldn't reject their mate and neither could the denounce the throne
"Wake up, you idiot" a lady shouted at the top of her voice, Livey blinked her eyes not minding her environment, it couldn't be her she was talking to, she had no one to accompany her in the woods when she laid in the woods so she guessed.
"I am taking to you, you gold digger" a slap pounced on her face and she sprung up like a bolt of lightning.
"Where am I" she searched around holding her hands to her face.
"Don't you dare ask me such stupid questions" Bridgette said folding her arms and looking angrily at her, why did they have to bring such an unkempt girl to the castle. She was extremely angry at how late she was to begin her chores.
"I am sorry ma'am" Livey was helpless, she knew who Bridgette was, as he lowered her head in respect but what she was more marveled about was who brought her to the castle, 'Could it be Ash' she thought.
"Listen here, I don't have time for all your uselessness, get to work or you won't have anything to eat for the rest of the week. Livey hazily stood up and pick a mob following closely behind, in just one day she had turned from the warriors daughter to a lowly omega moping and cleaning the castle.
She picked up a familiar scent as she followed ahead and was met with Ash widened in shock of seeing her in the castle, he couldn't take his eyes off her and Gabrielle noticed it, she cast her dark gaze on Livey warning her with her eyes to stay off her man.
His shocked expressions confirmed to Livey that he wasn't the one who brought her to the castle, then who did?
She walked past them not uttering a word, Scarlett noticed the stiffness of Ash, as if he had seen a ghost, only Livey had that effect in him.
"So Gabrielle, your Luna ceremony is coming up along with Ash coronation, are you excited?" She quickly said to Livey's hearing,
Livey's mood dampened and she felt a tug in her heart, she stared at Ash one last time with so much hurt in her eyes.
He shifted a bit from Gabrielle but she immediately locked her hands with his and smiled.
"Ash, don't be like that, your mate is trying to be close to you" Scarlett added with her soft tone.
"Move it slow poke" Bridgette ordered walking faster until they go to the store room, "make sure this place is cleaned up and then you will make breakfast for the guards and warriors" she ordered and closed the door behind her.
Livey looked around, the storeroom was a total mess, she picked up a few cartoons of fruits and was penetrated by the foul smell of some rotten fruits.
"Hi" a voice said startling her, Livey hit her her head on a shelf in panic,
"I didn't mean to startle you" Mel, a beautiful girl with pale blue eyes and a nice smile spoke.
"It's alright, I didn't know anyone was here" she answered rubbing her head,
"I am Mel and you?"
"Livey, are you new here?" She asked as Mel who joined her in arranging the cartoons,
"No, I have been here for five years now, I pretty much know everything about this place" Mel said stacking the shelf.
"Nice, it would be good to have someone to ask questions, Bridgette is a total ass"
"Shhh, what if she hears you, every omega here call her ma'am, the last omega who tried to disrespect her was sent to the dungeon and she hadn't returned yet.
Everyone you see in this castle is deadly, most especially the Luna" Mel warned as she whispered while taking to her, her hands were a bit shaky in fear that someone might hear her.
"I will be sure to stay clear off her way" she smiled winking her eyes,
"It is nice to finally have a friend, others are just rude irrespective of the fact that they are just omegas" Mel smiled back.
"Same here, why don't we wrap this up, so that we can make some food, I am dying to eat something" Livey's stomach grumbled and they both giggled, they hurried up with their work before Bridgette could even get a chance to shout at them.
In the kitchen, Livey made some pancakes from her mother's recipe, she tried to take a bite when Mel slapped her hand,
"Omegas eat last, even though they made the food, we are only allowed to eat leftovers" she said.
"That's unfair, how can I make something and not taste it" Livey groaned, the pancakes were one of her favorites but as much as she wanted to eat it, she couldn't. There were so many rules that she would have broken if Mel wasn't there.
Placing the dishes on the table, a warrior reached for Livey's ass but she slapped his hands.
"Easy" he said licking his lips, "I haven't seen you here before, are you new" he asked,
"No talking with the omegas" a guard reprimanded slapping his shoulders,
Livey sighed, she had gotten rid of that factor, he concentrated back on his food without giving her a glance again as if he was in fear of someone.
"Hmm Livey, this is so good" Mel said immediately she got back to the kitchen,
"It's my moms recipe" she said sadly remembering the incident that ended their lives.
"I love it, now you can eat" Mel gestured giving her a plate as they shared and ate merrily.
Mel seemed to be the only person to brighten her day aside from the rest who had all given her a sure deal of misery.
Livey had her rest until the afternoon when she was summoned by Gabrielle.
"Get me anything that you are capable of making and do it quick" Gabrielle ordered sitting with her friend as they gossip about a few things, Livey could guess that she was already bragging to be the Luna in a few days time, she made some pancake and brought it to them.
"What is this" Gabrielle spat staring disgustingly at the food,
"I didn't ask you to make me this, I asked for food, good food not snacks" she yelled.
"Then you should specify" Livey answered back,
"Did you just talk back to me you lowly omega" she yelled bringing it to Bridgette attention.
"What is going on" Bridgette who had just walked over asked.
"I asked this girl to make lunch for me and she brought this to me, when I asked her to change she began complaining" Gabrielle narrated giving dagger shots to Livey.
"I don't think.." Bridgette had already slapped Livey,
"How dare you take back to the Luna-to-be, don't you know your place" she grabbed her ear pushing her to the floor.
"I didn't mean to disrespect her, I was only trying to reason with her" Livey begged with tears in her eyes, she had never been beaten before for doing the right thing, her mother had always told her to stand her ground whenever she was right, why then was she punished for being right.
"Reason with her as what, as her mother, as the Luna" Bridgette lashed out.
She raised her hands to hit her again when she felt a strong pair of hands holding hers,
She turned back and met the Gamma's son cold and deadly eyes.
"Don't you dare lay your hands on her ever again" he said and picked Livey up from the floor.
Bridgette was embarrassed as she apologized and went away, Gabrielle and her friend also scurried away.
"Are you okay" Brent asked placing her gently on the bed, she smiled at him not trying to look into his eyes, he was a ranked member and she wouldn't dare to disrespect him.
"I am fine" she replied,
"Look at me" he ordered with authority and her eyes met his, he had a beautiful pair of brown eyes that could melt any woman's heart.
He smiled at her and she felt uncomfortable, "I brought you here, because I thought you had nowhere else to stay, are you okay with that"
"You were the one that brought me here" she asked not in question but confirming his statement, he nodded his head,
"Why did you help me" she asked.
"You will figure that out later, but for now I want you to rest.
You had a terrible first day, next time I won't let anyone hurt you" he said almost like a big brother making her feel warm.
Livey laid on her bed after he had left, closing her eyes to sleep the door suddenly flung open,
"Are you okay" Mel asked worried, she had heard about the incident from the other omegas as they laughed at her for having a bad day.
"I am fine" She sat upright looking at her,
"I heard that the Gamma helped you, isn't he amazing" Mel fantasized making her daydreams obvious to Livey who could see that she was crushing on the Gamma.
"You like him" Livey stated,
"No, I don't" Mel reacted trying to shake off the once wild thoughts she had about Brent.
"Shit, I forgot to ask his name and age"
"Oh, his name is Brent and he is 20.
Is there anything else you want to know" Mel asked,
"You can deny all you want but deep down, we both know that you like him" Livey pulled the thin cloth over her body that could barely keep the cold away.
"Can I sleep here with you" Mel asked with her purring eyes.
"Sure" Livey agreed and they shared stories together until they slept off.
