Chapter 1 The Human

Elizabeth's Pov

The moon shone high in the starless sky, casting an eerie glow on the dense forest below. The rustling of leaves and twigs echoed throughout the trees, as I desperately sought refuge from the beasts who relentlessly pursued me. My heart pounded in my chest, the fear making my breaths come in short, sharp gasps.

I had been running for hours, my legs aching and my mind racing with fear.

"You still got tough knees there, Elizabeth?" Christian teased at me.

I looked at him from the other tree. Like me, he was also holding a branch to keep his balance, he was holding a gun and his sweat was dripping. The only thing that could be seen on him was his eyes because of the black mask.

"I can't do it anymore," I whispered. He noticed the weakness in my voice.

I saw the change in his reaction, he was worried, I can see it in his eyes. He wanted to come closer to me, but once he moved, we were sure to be caught. They would eat us alive and I don't want that to happen.

"Hold on tight, let's wait for the others."

I leaned my head against the tree, closed my eyes and opened my mouth to inhale a lot of air. I didn't say a word, I just held my left thigh, feeling the pain there.

From his perch high above the ground, Christian peered out into the darkness, searching for any signs of the beasts. His eyes darted from tree to tree, scanning the underbrush for any glimmers of light or movement. He was completely still, his body pressed against the trunk of the tree, as he listened intently for any sound that might give his position away.

"We can jump any time, Elizabeth. I think they are gone," he added but I did not speak. I bit my lower lip and winced in so much pain. "Elizabeth?"

Suddenly, a flash of fear devoured me when I hear a loud roar and howl of a beast. That sound is never far from us. Another roar can be heard from below. The trees moved and the whole area was filled with shouting.

They are hunting us.

"Shit!" Christian cursed, I saw him prepare the rope. "We need to run now!"

I gulped, I forced myself to get up, I stood and grabbed the branch but as I stood up, I felt something wrong in my body.

"Christian..." I called.

"Elizabeth!"

The world spun around me, the colors blending into a dizzying whirlpool of light and sound. I swayed back and forth, My fingers clutching at the rough bark of the tall tree I had been climbing.

My consciousness slipped away, and I lost all sense of time and space. I was weightless, suspended in a void of nothingness, with no thoughts or feelings to anchor into reality.

But then, as quickly as it had vanished, my consciousness returned. My eyes fluttered open, and I found myself plummeting towards the ground, my body tumbling through the air.

The wind rushed past my face, whipping my hair and clothes as I fell. I almost forgot to scream for help.

I thought I would fall forever, but I was wrong. But just as I thought all was lost, a pair of strong arms caught me, breaking me fall with a jarring impact. I gasped for air, my heart racing in my chest, as I realized I had narrowly escaped death.

I opened my eyes and gasped. It wasn't human! It was a beast, a beast caught me from falling. But because I was so scared, I pushed him hard, I took the small dagger inside my bag and stabbed him in his arm.

The dagger didn't kill the beast, that was the only reason it roared and let me go, I fell from its arms. My body rolled down, only to stop when my back hit the tree.

I coughed and blood came out of my mouth.

"Elizabeth!" Christian ran towards me, he knelt down and lifted my body, he removed the hair blocking my face. "Breathe, you can do it. We can escape from here."

I shook my head.

"There are a lot of them tonight," I looked up. "It's full moon, they are stronger."

"Fuck!" He cursed. He tore the clothes he was wearing, I almost screamed in pain when he tied them to my thigh to stop my bleeding. "I'll fetch the others. I promised him that once we get here I will bring you to him, alive..."

I took a deep breath.

Eros.

He is the reason why we are here. We came for Eros Wood, my brother. Those beasts held him captive for years. And before he disappeared, he left a word to me, if I am old enough, I can come and look for him. And now I am older enough, I came here. but I am not stronger enough to save my brother.

"Please find him, find my brother." A tear fell from my eyes. Christian bit his lower lip. He brought his face closer and kissed my forehead.

"I will come back. I will come back for you, Elizabeth. Wait for me."

He picked me up, he put me down behind a towering tree, he left a bag and some weapons so I could protect myself. He held my arms.

"Please be careful," I whispered.

"I will, I will come here. We will both find Eros."

I swallowed and nodded, and when he ran away, I just closed my eyes as my tears continued to fall.

We are a lot, we bombed the border to enter, we killed beasts. We killed a lot of them just to get in here, yet we still didn't find him.

"Eros..." I whispered under my breath.

My eyes opened. I moved and tried to move my foot too. I took a deep breath and tried to stand up. If I won't move, I know I will die too. I need to help them.

"Ugh!" I groaned.

I put the dagger on the side of my thigh, I came out from behind the tree, but when I stepped to leave, I was stunned to see a pair of eyes shining from the darkness while staring at me.

I stepped back, staring back. But I stepped on a branch that made a noise, its eyes narrowed, as time went on its eyes got closer until I saw the tall and dirty beast.

"Shit."

Before I could run, its nail caught my clothes, my body rose, it threw me, again, hitting my back on a tree. I coughed for the second time, even before I got up completely, it rushed at me for the second time.

It landed on my top, It roared in front of my face and I closed my eyes as its sticky and pungent saliva dripped on my face, I took the gun that was lying around and shot it's throat without hesitation. Blood spattered everywhere.

I died, I stood up and watched how it slowly turned into a human form.

A woman.

Suddenly, a howl shattered the stillness of the night. It was a sound like nothing I had ever heard before, primal and otherworldly. My blood ran cold, and I knew with a sickening certainty that it was the cry of a beast.

We, humans, call them as a beast.

But we knew, deep inside, that they were werewolve.

Panic seized me, and I broke into a run, my feet pounding the forest floor as I tried to outrun the beast. But I knew it was hopeless. Werewolves were fast, strong, and cunning. They were the masters of the night, and I was just a mortal girl, frail and powerless.

And I saw it coming, but I was too slow. Its jaws closed around my arm, and I felt the sharp pain of its teeth sinking into my shoulder. The Lycan bit my right shoulder. I screamed, a high-pitched sound of agony and terror, as I was lifted off my feet and thrown to the ground.

It towered over me, its eyes glowing with a fierce, yellow light. It snarled, its jaws opening wide to deliver the killing blow.

I cried in so much pain.

"Aaron..." I whispered a name randomly. It stopped, I took a deep breath, thinking why I whispered that name.

I don't know who that Aaron is, my face crumbled as I felt more pain in my body, it's like the bite crawled from my shoulder to my veins and skin. I arched my back and screamed loudly again.

"Aaron!" I, again scream the name, I am not aware why I am doing that. But because of the pain I feel I just want to die.

After a while, while I'm in the middle of pain, I saw how the Lycan changed its form. I saw a man, topless, his arm was bloody, his forehead was wrinkled.

Shock and fear filled his eyes.

"Aaron's mate," he whispered.

I closed my eyes.

I could feel the pain coursing through my veins, the poison. I gasped.

I opened my eyes wide, my surroundings turned black, and then I saw a stranger, no, a man. I can see him, but not his face, it was all blurry and light, it was like... a flash. I can see a vision, but it is making my head ache.

"Aaron..." I, again accidentally mentioned someone's name.

"So Aaron's mate was finally born," I opened my eyes and looked at the man on top of me. "It's good to see you again." He smirked at me.

He leaned towards my face, he held the side of my cheeks but I didn't have the strength to remove it.

I feel very weak, and I know that anytime, I can die.

I couldn't even answer when he suddenly jumped up until he was out of my sight. my whole body was shaking, I grabbed my shoulder which now doesn't stop bleeding.

My tears fell from my eyes, and I closed my eyes.

"Aaron," I called, to whoever that is, I am hoping that he can help me, that he can save me.

I rested my head.

Please help me...

Aaron.

Chapter 2 His Captive

Aaron's Pov

In a world where werewolves reign supreme, two powerful wolves emerge -- one led by the cunning and ruthless alpha, determined to maintain their control over the population, and the other led by a rebellious and charismatic leader, seeking to overthrow the oppressive regime and create a new one order.

As the conflict escalates, werewolves on both sides are forced to choose between loyalty to their alpha or to their own sense of justice. The battle lines are drawn, and the two factions engage in a brutal war that threatens to tear the werewolf society apart.

To those who chose to flee the government and live without their Packs are called Rouges.

Amidst the chaos and violence, a young werewolf finds himself torn between his loyalty to his very own alpha and his growing doubts about the righteousness of the war. As he navigates the battlefield and confronts the harsh realities of war, he begins to question whether the cost of victory is worth the sacrifice.

And it is not.

"I want them dead," I ordered to one of my men.

My eyes were directly staring at the five Rouges who were now on their knees, weak and bleeding all over their bodies. In front of them lay my three men who have now lost their lives.

They killed three of my men, they killed my royal servants, I know they sought revenge. And I never thought today would be the day they would do it, but who wouldn't? It's hunting day, full moon where every Lycans are much stronger than a normal night.

Or there is worse but they haven't started yet.

'Aaron...'

My pupils dilated, I looked at my body and frowned when I saw that there was smoke coming out of me.

'Aaron...'

I heard the voice from my head, it was a woman voice. I closed my eyes for a few seconds and took a deep breath. It was not Vivienne's voice, the voice came from someone I had never heard before.

"Doesn't it seem like he acted too soon?" Theo asked as he scanned the Rouges in front of us. I looked at him and saw how he adjusted his round eyeglasses, looking up at me like an innocent little boy.

"There must be a reason why," I said and looked away.

I stuck the cigarette to my lips, sat down and put my right foot on the left side. I signaled them to take out and burn the dead bodies, which they immediately followed. The foul smell of the Rouges wafted throughout the hideout.

"It's been a long time, I wonder what that bastard looks like now."

I didn't say a word, I just leaned my back and closed my eyes slowly. The Lycan inside me is very exhausted, not because of the war between the two factions. It is exhausted by severe hunger.

A hunger for a mate.

It's been almost three hundred years, but until now, she's still not here. Should I blame that bastard for the loss and not reviving my mate? Of course, all my life, I will always blame him.

"Your sister is here," Theo pointed at the door.

I didn't move, I heard the footsteps of her shoes, I smelled blood from her. I opened my eyes until I saw her in front of me. Shaking, panting and there was blood splatter on her vixen face.

I growled.

"Speak." I commanded.

Her inked eyes stared at me with fear and panicked.

"We found something-- no, we found someone."

My head tilted.

"I want more information."

"She was being chased by the Rouges. We brought her even though there's something suspicious about her."

Transfixed, I removed the cigarette from my lips and pressed it between my fingers. I blew air and smoke came out of my mouth.

"Did you say 'her'?" I asked.

Vivienne gulped in so much fear.

"She was bitten, it's only a matter of time before she can die once she doesn't stop bleeding."

I stood up, without another word, I started walking away and Theo followed behind me. Before I disappeared from hee sight, she spoke again.

"She's not one of us, Aaron." She explained. I know Theo was surprised by that.

"She's what?" Theo exclaimed, he turned to Vivienne and I took a deep breath.

"A trespasser, she bombed the border. and I believe she is not alone, there are a lot of them, but she was the only one I found alive, the rest of them escaped. They were armored, the woman killed some Rouges."

I blinked and spoke.

"If she'll survive, we can use her against the Rouges," I looked at Vivienne. "Call the Pack's doctor, and make sure that she's gonna live."

"Yes, Alpha Aaron."

I quickly walked away, the hideout door opened and the very dark and hair raising forest greeted me. I looked up and saw how bright and round the moon was, I could hear loud howls.

"Too bad she's being hunted," I whispered.

"She's in the dungeon. Vivienne said they chained her, in case she escapes and has something to do."

I nodded as a response.

The stench of decay and dampness filled the air as I walked into the dungeon. The flickering torches on the walls cast eerie shadows that danced on the cold, stone floor. The sound of dripping water echoed through the dark, narrow corridor, and the only company we had were the rats scurrying in the shadows.

As we reached the end of the hallway, we came upon a heavy iron door. The rusted hinges creaked as one of my men pushed it open, revealing the darkness beyond. I stepped inside, and the door slammed shut behind me with a resounding clang.

"Are you expecting something from the captive, Aaron?"

"No." I looked around. "If my mate ever come back now, it won't be her. It will be from the higher."

We walked forward, the light from the torches flickering in the darkness. The chains rattled as I passed by, as if the tortured souls we once held were reaching out to me, begging for release.

As we reached the far corner of the room, I saw the source of the moaning-- a woman.

"It's her," Theo stopped me from approaching her.

Her hands were chained, she was on her knees and bowed. I could not see her face, but I could see her black curly long hair that almost exceeded her waist, she's slim and pale. She was wearing a black tight clothes, on the side of her thigh, there was a dagger attached as if it was her weapon to protect herself.

I stepped closer to her.

"Aaron, no." Theo tried to stop me.

"Look at me." I commanded.

The woman didn't move, I frowned when I smelled her. Her scent is light and airy, with subtle notes of jasmine and vanilla that blend together to create a warm, inviting aroma. It's a fragrance that lingers in the air, enveloping me in its gentle embrace.

Moonflower.

I felt my eyes suddenly glow, I quickly approached her. I tightly gripped her chin and made her look at me.

I gasped.

The woman has a heart shaped face, prominent brows, she has a round coffee eyes that seem to absorb me every time I look at her, the woman has a full pale lips, naturally long and curvy lashes that made her look like a living doll.

Pretty.

"Aaron, get away from her!" Vivienne shouted, she pulled me back but my eyes remained staring at the woman.

The woman glanced back, lifeless and expressionless. I blinked and stopped breathing for a moment, the wolf inside me roared. I blinked again and I saw visions from her eyes, her being my captive, her being with me, and her making a war between the two factions. I took a deep breath when I felt the strong beating of my chest.

"Mate." I muttered.

"What the fuck?!" Theo shouted loudly because of the shock.

Vivienne stopped and stared at me.

"Are you sure about that?" She asked but I ignored them.

I quickly approached the woman again. And for another time, gripped her chin tightly and made her look at me. I saw a tear come down from her eyes. I looked at her body, she had a wound on her arm, her clothes were also torn and I saw a scratch on her belly.

"What's your name?" I asked.

She didn't speak immediately, she opened her mouth but no words came out of it, as if she was struggling to speak. She tried to open her mouth again.

"E-Elizabeth... Elizabeth Wood." She answered with a soft voice.

"Elizabeth." I mused, her name rolled swiftly in my tongue.

I walked near her, violently pulled down her clothes on the right side, I was surprised to see a lot of blood, and I saw a deep bite.

"She's bitten by a Rouge." My sister, Vivienne said with a low voice behind me.

I shook my head.

"It was a bite with threat." I said with an emphatic and angry tone.

"What?"

I took a deep breath, I tried to calm myself down, I could feel the glow of my eyes and the threat of my fangs coming out but I am holding myself.

I looked at her, Elizabeth...

She's scared, I saw fear in her eyes as tears continued to roll down to her cheeks. Her face screamed pain and pleaded.

"I want to get rid of that scent and poison from her."

Before they could stop me, I completely tore Elizabeth's clothes, my mouth opened and my sharp fangs came out.

I bit her left shoulder, her blood dripped from there and she screamed in so much pain, I tightly held her waist, I could hardly control myself especially when I could taste her sweet blood, together with the bitterness of her blood that has mixed with the one who bit her before me.

"Stop!" She screamed so loud, she was trying to get away from me but she couldn't.

I held her soft skin so tightly that I almost didn't want to let her go. Her earlier shouting was replaced by crying.

"Aaron, that's enough!" Vivienne pulled me hard, I sprang and my back hit the wall.

I breathe heavily, licked my lips feeling the blood she left on my skin.

"What did you do?!" My sister screamed angrily at me.

I looked at the woman who was chained, blood came out of her mouth, now her lips and chin were filled with the red sticky substance, she became even more pale, she bowed down, I made her so weak.

I just realized what I did.

I stood up and wiped my mouth, I looked away and before leaving, I spoke first.

"Heal her, and make sure she lives. Keep her alive," I turned my back on them. "She can't die, not yet."

"But, what are your plans after this?"

I looked up and I gulped a few times. I took a deep breath before answering her question.

"I'll make her my pet, I'll make her follow my orders, I'll use her to get those Rouges."

Chapter 3 Fallen Angel

Elizabeth's Pov

I can still remember it.

I still remember how they attacked us, I still remember how they effortlessly killed our other members. I still remember how they shifted into a scary hungry beasts.

Sharp teeth, broad snout, glowing eyes that reflect their wolfish nature. Large claws, long pointed ears. Their appearance conveys their strength, power, and dominance within each other.

And those were no different from this woman in front of me.

"Elizabeth Wood?" The tall woman mentioned my name, short black hair, inked eyes and a vixen face.

She was the one who saved me from the hungry Lycans. The one who brought me into another hell of my life.

I didn't answer, my body was weak. I stayed on my knees and my two hands were chained, my wrist was red and I could feel its pain. I woke up here in the dungeon, with my wounds healed. But the bite on my shoulder still remained painful and fresh.

"I have come to hear your words," she explained but I still didn't answer.

I can feel the oppressive weight of the air. The only light comes from a small sliver of moonlight that creeps in through the barred window of the dungeon.

I look small and fragile in front of her, like a bird with a broken wing. My hair is matted and tangled, and my clothes hang off my slender frame. My eyes are narrowed, dead and expressionless, and my body shakes uncontrollably. The bruises on my skin tell a story of pain and suffering.

"You can't get any information from me," my voice was weak and hoarse.

I don't have the strength to speak or explain. I am angry, I told myself a few times that I would not dare to give my name to anyone... ever again. But I made a mistake.

"This will help you so we can release you from the chains."

I stared at her with anger in my eyes, I bowed and closed my eyes, I tried to calm myself and I tried to think of a way to escape from here. But it is impossible, I'm chained and locked up in a dungeon. I don't know where exactly I am.

I could do nothing but wait for Christian, and the rest of our companions. But how can I wait for them if they are already gone? If the others are gone? Christian is my only hope, we were the last ones to survive and escape that time.

I know he won't fail me.

I closed my eyes tightly.

"Please don't fail me," I whispered under my breath.

My eyes opened and stopped for a moment.

"Aaron," she mentioned a name.

Something inside me woke up. Aaron?

I looked in front.

Suddenly, a creaking sound echoed through the cavernous space, causing me to jump in surprise. I strained my eyes in the darkness, trying to make out the figure that was slowly making its way towards me. As the person drew closer, I could see that it was a man, his features obscured by the shadows.

With each step he took, the sound of his footfalls echoed through the dungeon, reverberating off the walls and causing my heart to race faster still. I could feel the adrenaline coursing through my veins.

The tall man walked into the area, his black suit hugging his muscular frame like a second skin. His presence commanded attention. The fabric of his suit was pristine, without a single crease or wrinkle, as if it had been specially tailored to fit him perfectly.

But what really caught my eye were his tattoos. They snaked up his arms, thick black lines intertwining with intricate designs, each one a story waiting to be told. They peeked out from the cuffs of his shirt, hinting at the man's wild side, a reminder that beneath the polished exterior, lay a fierce and untamed soul.

"I'm glad that she's not dead," the man's voice was deep, rich, and commanding. It was the kind of voice that will make you sit up and take notice.

His face was chiseled and angular, with a strong jawline and dangerous inked eyes like the woman beside him, seemed to look right through you. There was an intensity about him, a sense of danger and excitement that can make someone simultaneously drawn to him and wary of him.

As he stood there, his hands casually tucked into his pockets, the dungeon fell silent. He was like a predator, watching his prey with a cool detachment, waiting for the right moment to strike.

And I am his prey.

And yet, despite his aura of danger, there was something undeniably alluring about him, something that made it impossible to look away.

"The doctor kept her alive, just like what you wanted," the woman spoke, answering him.

"He did a great job." He added, causing and giving me some sensations in my body.

His terrifying black eyes pierced my soul. I stared at his eyes and I winced as my vision suddenly blurred, I took a deep breath as I saw flash scenes in my head. I couldn't look away from his eyes.

I can see some blurry visions.

"Ahh," I groaned as my head suddenly hurt, I looked away and closed my eyes, wishing that I would not see that flashes again in my head.

I kept my head down to avoid his eyes, but I could feel him step forward closer to my place, I kept my head low. I can see his shoes below.

"Lizzy," he said.

I didn't look, it was not my name.

He waited for a few seconds, I was surprised when he gripped my chin, I accidentally looked up to look at him. I feared that I might see those flashes again, but I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw nothing.

I see nothing but dominance.

His gorgeous face screamed danger and death.

"Why are you here?" He asked but I did not answer.

He looked back, motioning for the woman to leave. I was scared to know that only the two of us were left inside the dungeon. I swallowed hard, I swallowed several times to get rid of the fear and nervousness that I feel but I just can't. No matter what I do to calm myself down, I can't stop being scared and shaking.

"I promised not to say a word..."

"Who? Who did you promise?"

He knelt in front of me and I froze. He was so close that I could see more how perfect his face is, he is so beautiful. Like Lucifer, the fallen angel.

"I- I..." I tried to speak but I couldn't.

"Who did you promise? What's the reason why you're here?"

I still couldn't speak, he came closer to me and I saw how his eyes stared into my lips, his hand moved, I stopped breathing when his finger made a motion and gently caressed my lips.

His other hand held my waist that made me flinch, I almost lost my breath from what he was doing. His rough, calloused hands rubbed against my skin. And every time he held me, it was as if I was being burned by what he was doing.

"You can't answer my question, it's because you can't remember anything, right?"

My forehead was wrinkled, I couldn't react when he leaned towards me. His head went to my neck, he sniffed me like an animal, he sniffed my scent.

His grip on my waist tightened as he continued to smell me.

"Fuck," he groaned under his breath.

My lips parted.

"I-I came here for..."

"For what?" He raised his head again and faced me. "For what, Lizzy?"

I frowned. I closed my eyes tightly as I felt a dull ache spreading through my head, like a fog descending upon my thoughts. I tried to shake it off, but the more I tried to think, the more it seemed to slip away from my grasp. it was as if my memories were being erased one by one, leaving me in a state of confusion and uncertainty.

Shit.

I looked at him with courage and hope in my eyes.

"C- Christian, my friend and I made a promise to each other... he would come back for me. He will come and save me."

He smirked at me.

"What promise?"

I could feel the panic rising in me, a sense of dread and fear that threatened to overwhelm me. Something was very wrong, but I couldn't remember what it was. It was as if my mind was playing a cruel trick on me, teasing me with half-formed memories and fleeting glimpses of the past.

I closed my eyes, hoping that it would help me focus, but even that seemed to make things worse. The darkness behind my eyelids was suffocating, and she felt like I was drowning in a sea of confusion.

"What did you do to me?" I looked at him, my eyes were full of anger and fear, my lips began to tremble, my tears began to flow and I felt the pain in my head more.

"I saved you from the poison." He answered simply.

I tried to do nothing but all I could do was make the sound of chains. My fist clenched and I cried even more.

"W- what... what did you do to me?! Why can't I remember everything?!"

I can see no expression from him, my chest rises and falls due to mixed emotions. I bit my lower lip and felt my tears flow more.

"Lower your voice." He commanded but I didn't care about that.

I just bowed while crying. the tears streamed down my face, hot and fast, as I cried out in anger and fear. My chest heaved with sobs, each one a wrenching, guttural sound that seemed to tear at my very soul.

My fists were clenched tightly, knuckles white with the force of my emotions. I was shaking with rage, every muscle in my body tensed and coiled like a spring ready to snap.

"I hate you, I hate you... whoever you are," I cursed at him.

My voice was raw and hoarse, as I screamed out my frustrations in front of him. it was a sound that was both primal and desperate, a cry of pain and anguish that echoed through the empty dungeon.

"You're a trespasser yet you dare to raise your voice to me."

I didn't look at him, his presence was heavy and dark. He stood up and walked away from me so I looked up to look at him.

"Let me go," I whispered. "Please..."

His eyes were dull as he stared back at me.

"I'll free you from the chains but you'll remain in my territory." He turned his back on me. "I didn't wait for three hundred fucking years for nothing. I won't let you escape."

I looked away.

I need to make a way.

I need to escape from this place and from him.
