The Alpha's Contract Mate!

When I was five years old . My mother would always tell me that when I find my mate at the age of 16 . I will be complete and happy. She would later describe the details of a happy wedding day while getting married to your fated mate ! your one true love... She was wrong!

She was definitely wrong . Today I'm getting married to a stranger to some one who might get me out of the problems my father created . My husband to be is not really a stranger but considering the circumstances surrounding the situation I would call him a stranger .

I'm the new alpha of our pack . The Red Zodiac pack . The smallest pack in the state right now . My selfish father had looted all the funds and resources from the pack . Not only that but he did a lot of shady things that ruined the packs reputation to the extent of all the packs refusing to form a treaty with us .I'm not supposed to be the alpha of the pack because I'm wolfless but I'm the only heir left to the pack and no one can't take over because it would be a taboo to the tradition of the pack. No one knows yet but I cant keep hiding my weakness alone .

Our best warriors left including the only healer we had . When I took over the pack . I had so much to do . I don't even have the alpha gene because my twin brother had died in a fire . As his twin I was forced to rule this pack and with all the problems we have , Ben was the only alpha willing to help me and that's through marriage .A contract that would benefit me and him which means abundant resources for my pack and an alpha with a strong wolf for me and more growth for Ben's pack .

But today he is freaking late for our wedding! It has been two hours and I'm so famished right now .I just hope he doesn't stand me up on our wedding day .I will lose too much and I can't risk it.

Suddenly the phone vibrates and a message pops up on the screen . With shaking hands I grab the phone from the table next to me and open the message quickly . My face falters immediately I realize it's not Ben

'if you want to know where your future husband is . Follow this address.... '

Another message pops up with the address on it. I don't care where this is but I have to get him right now and I am not going to waste my time. He knew that this is very important to me and he decided to be late .

"What is it ? "my sister Olive asks as she peeks from her seat.

"I need to get my husband, "I mutter rushing to the door.

Before I know it my sister's arm is already holding my hand really tightly . I try to shake off her strong grip on my arm but I'm still unsuccessful.

"Olive ! " I growl out her name in impatience because I'm on schedule and I need things to get going.

"Where the hell are you going? You can't just leave , "she looks at me with concern

"Well if I don't get Ben, there will be no wedding , "I shake off her hand aggressively and proceed to walk out of the room.

As I walk down the flight of stairs to the lobby. I try to reach Ben in all hopes that maybe he is okay and he is fine but it still goes to voice mail. I manage to book a cab outside and get inside quickly . I order the driver to follow the address and tell him not waste any time.

I shouldn't be going! This is not even right . I'm in my wedding dress with full make up and I'm physically fetching my husband to be on my wedding day.

When the cab stops at the address. I get out of the car quickly with a wobbly step ready to face my husband to be . I need to do this or else . Everything will be ruined .

My hands are shaking and I'm sweating right now. Something tells me that I should stay and go back and plan the rest of the day but I decide not to. I puff up my chest and straighten my face. I need to go hard or go home . There's is no way in the living hell I'm going to sit back and relax and watch my wedding day get ruined . I planned this for days!

I approach the receptionist and tell her my issue and the room number on the message. She refuses to let me go because of client privacy and rules but I stand my ground and force her to take me there. I don't have to time for this . At least not right now and this will probably be the most courageous thing I have ever done in my life.

Once I reach the room . I'm taken off guard when I hear the loud moans of Ben and a woman. This is not what I expected. I open the door with a slight push and I'm greeted by the awful image of Ben and my cousin Sloane wrapped up in the blanket. What the hell is happening? I shouldn't be mad but this is my cousin messing around with the person Iam supposed to get married to. I'm completely flabbergasted as I stare at the both of them in the sheets. Part of me wants to leave and the other wants to set the room on fire...litearlly.

Ben sniffs the air around him and looks at me horrified. How could he? On our wedding day .Nothing comes out of my mouth as I look at them in horror . I clutch the heams of my wedding dress tighter as I try not to combust with tears.

"Annabelle, "he says my full name with his face holding no remorse.

"I -"I look at the both of them wildly with no proper words to say . My very own cousin is in bed with my husband to be .

"Anna, "he starts again as he gets up from the bed naked . He comes closer to me but I move away from him like fire

"Don't ! "I warn him and step away again

"Anna, "he speaks again with a whisper reaching out with his hand to touch me.

"Don't touch me?! "I shout with tears clouding my face.

"You need to listen to me ! " he begs but I just shake my head in denial.

"I don't have listen to you! "I wave my hands angrily, "This was the worst day to sleep with your mistress! "

"Annabelle ! "Sloane flinches with my crude words as she covers herself with the sheets tighter.

"Don't you call me by my name! "I point my finger at her.

"Annabelle you are been hysterical right now ! "Ben chastises me.

"Hysterical?" I stare at him bewildered, "I will show you hysterical! "

I grab the nearest vase next to me that is filled with red bloody roses . I throw it down on the floor and watch it break into a million pieces . I don't even waste my time waiting for their pathetic reactions . I open the door and run lifting my wedding dress.I don't have time to listen to their shouts of protests because I'm too emotional .I'm a wreck right now .Seeing my cousin rolling in the sheets with Ben was betrayal of the highest order.

I'm already out of the door trying to run away as I wipe my tears .Some people look at me as I run in my wedding dress with massacre smudged on my face . I don't even care anymore about my appearance right now.

"Annabelle! Watch out ! "Ben screams.

When I look at him . I flip him the middle finger . I don't even have any words for him anymore. When I look to my left . The last thing I see are the headlights of an incoming Black Car .

Annabelle pov

The temples of my head throb as the pain in my body gravitates to my head . The strong hospital scent assaulted me as I sniff in the 'fresh air 'surrounding me .Wait a hospital? What am I doing in a hospital?

I would normally open my eyes in a rush if I was filled with anxiety but I had to use all the energy I have to just open my eyes . I slowly peel them open one by one.

In front of me is a dark figure that I don't recognize . I adjust my vision for some time to get a clear picture of who I am with in this hospital. Surely it can't be Ben because he does not have such a dominating figure even though he is an alpha. He also doesn't care about me . I would be dammed if he really showed up here just to make sure that I'm okay.

"Finally you are awake ! "the deep voice reverbrates and jolts me from my hazy thoughts . The sweet sound makes my whole body shiver and my heart starts pounding. Why is my heart pounding so loud ? Why does this stranger's voice have so much effect on me right now?

I open my mouth slowly and my voice cracks and the first thing that comes out from my mouth is, "who are you ? "

The dark figure comes closer to me and finally I get to lay my eyes on the stranger that is in the hospital room with me . Maybe he saved me from the road accident? Or He didn't?

"Well that's not the question I was looking for ? "he chuckles deeply and turns to a serious look within a few seconds .

"What are you doing here then ? "I ask as I squint my eyes to look at him and get a proper view of his body .

The man in front me of me is a tall man with soft dark hair that is sleeked back neatly. His muscles bulge through the dark suit that he is wearing and his eyes sparkle with a little bit of mischief as he looks at me. I think away from his dark penetrating look that is already piercing my soul in half. His electric blue eyes are enchanting and almost bring me to my knees

Everything about him looks so familiar. Even though my mind is not able to register everything at once . I definitely know this person . I shift uncomfortably as I try not to feel so awkward about it. I use the pain that I feel n my body as an excuse to fidget uncomfortably.

I open my mouth and decide to thank him for his kindness. After all any normal person would have just left me there to die .

"Thank you, "I smile weakly.

"I'm the one that ran you over , "he replies looking at me without a waiver, "you don't need to thank me, "

"You ran me over ? "I splutter angrily.

"To be fair I wasn't the one in a wedding dress running with an absent mind , "he answers sarcastically.

"Who are you to talk to me like that! How dare you ! "I frown as I reply with a heated look. He is so rude! I feel like I might fight with him toe to toe .

"Jason , "he answers with a straight face and his cold blue eyes rake me over in a swift motion . It's not a heated look but a look if pity .

The name Jason shocks me to the core as the name leaves me gobsmacked . I freeze as I look at the man in front of me . This can't be the Jason that I knew from childhood . The man who silently worked so hard to be the best warrior in the pack.

The man who killed my brother and got banished after that. Every moment that I had buried resurfaces as I relive the shouts and torments of my twin brother. I can't believe I'm with the person that was involved with his death .

"Jason , "I spit his name in disgust.

"Alpha Jason , "he corrects me with a smirk.

"Where are the doctors and nurses? You shouldn't be here anyway and my sister!? "I look around weakly trying to get a way out. He is a murderer and I don't want to be in the same room with him .

"Your sister is coming soon. My contacts already let her know where you are , "he responds calmly.

"What are you doing here? "I ask in a frustrated tone . I really don't want him around me but I'm yearning for his body to lay next to mine. The feeling is so deep and impulsive . I shake my head as I try to get rid of the thoughts.

I raise my face to look at hm and show him no emotions at all. As a wolfless wolf, its hard to smell emotions. I'm practically human . Nothing special to it.

"The question is what were you trying to do ? "he asks me as he eyes me up and down in a calculating manner.

"What kind of question is that ? "I mutter angrily.

"it's a valid question Annanbelle , "he says me name in a sexy drawl.

"It's none of your business , "I answer as I pat my blankets gently while trying to avoid eye contact.

"Well you were in a wedding dress and you were completely distressed . You practically jumped in front of my car.. "he pauses and looks at me.

"I didn't jump in front of your car ! "I correct him with a raised voice , "my groom cheated me on my wedding day! "

"Very interesting , "he replies with an amused look.

"There's nothing interesting about this.. After all- "I pause considering not telling this man any more information.

"After all you need your pack to definitely survive , "he finishes for me.

"Who told you that ? "I answer with a bewildered look as I try not to look at his perfect chisled face that could make any female drop dead.

"A little birdie , "he simply answers nonchalantly and looks at me with a serious look . Everything about him is so calm and domineering. How the hell did he become alpha? He was a warrior in my pack . He is strong but how the hell did he do it.?

"I know what you are thinking , "he starts and smirks, "but I won't explain that for you but what I do know is that we both need something and we can only achieve that through one thing, "

"What do you want ? "I ask curiously even though I'm clearly not interested in making deals with him but if he has something I want then I might reconsider.

"I want a heir to keep the bloodline of my pack going and you need the money , resources and an arm to support your pack, "

"So what are you suggesting ? "I ask confused.

"Marry me ! "

"Marry me , "his rich deep voice startles me from my hospital bed.

I look at him in shock. I was not expecting this to happen . He folds his tattooed arms across his chest and looks at me with his dark green eyes in expectancy. This is not something that I wanted right now considering the fact that I'm in a hospital bed.Any other deal would be better but I'm not going to marry a beast in disguise.

"Excuse me , "I answer back in shock as I look at him with widened eyes.

I finger the cold engagement ring on my other hand . Alot of thought went into this. Why would he want to marry me now ? I look at the man in front of me and he stares back at me with a patient face.He seriously thinks that we should marry . Hell no! He was there when my brother . He killed my brother and my father had a stroke through stroke . Everything is just so messed up and he wants to marry me .

"I can't marry you I'm sorry , "I shake my head slowly.

"you were willing to get married to someone you didn't love Anna and I think we all know why , "he answers.

"You have the nerve to tell me that when you are the one that killed my brother , "I hiss as I try to get up from my position.

"I did not kill your brother , "he cocks his head and left a his eyebrow in shock.

"You were the last person that saw him when he got burnt in that house. You killed my brother and now -"

"You need your pack to flourish and stabilize without a proper alpha to form alliances with. You are as good as dead and I don't think refusing this good offer is your option at that moment, "

"I don't want to get married to you Jason , "I drawl out his name

The drop dead gorgeous and hot as Hades man standing in front of me in the hospital is a beast ! The man who killed my brother .I keep on saying this so many times in my head because I don't want to marry him . The man who I trusted with my whole life when we were kids . Now he is so different . He is covered tattoos with a dark look and a chisled jaw and smooth face that any woman can die for. I can't seem to get over the fact that he is here and alive with so much power that I can't fathom .

"I don't want to get married to someone who ran me over on my wedding day , "I fold my arms on defiance .

"you were coming out from a motel , "he raises his left eyebrow.

"it doesn't matter , "I answer back with a stubborn.

So what? I had a tip about Ben's location and immediately followed the address until I discovered that he was sleeping with my cousin Sloane . I couldn't even breathe when I saw them in the sheets . I immediately ran out of the motel in shock . I got ran over by Jason and now we here are... In a hospital bed and Jason proposing marriage to me. If some one was to narrate all this to me in the past . I would laugh at them... Loudly!

"it matters because you can't get married to someone who betrayed you, " he answers back as he quirks his eyebrow.

"you betrayed me too, "I fold my arms tightly with anger dripping in my tone.

"you have no proof of that and name any wolf that can marry you right away while handling your shitty pack, "he looks at me with a deadly calm look.

I shift uncomfortably in my bed and think about the way things have turned out .At this point I don't think I have a choice in any of this . I always dreamt of having a mate and getting married with beautiful pups and raising them peacefully but now I'm in a hospital bed facing my worst nightmare with a good proposal that could change my entire life and pack. I should just take it .

"it will only take a few people to know that you are wolfless Annabellle ,"he warns me as he faces me

"How do you -"

" It will be a only a few years until you give me a heir and your pack will be back to it's feet and you can go on your life , "he continues talking and I'm left stunned by his cockiness and domineering energy .

I fold my hands as I think about the pros and cons of the situation . I don't know what I should do in this situation. The only thing I can do is just accept his proposal and when we get our ends of the deal . I'm going to get out of this awful marriage that hasn't even begun yet.

But then I need to give him a pup! A heir . The thought of having sex and stripping off for Jason gives me goosebumps and makes my skin shiver . Will I able to see my child again after this? Confusion clouds my judgement as I think about my decision. But at the end of the day , my current situation overrides my emotion.

"I accept, "I whisper reluctantly .

"Good , "he answers in a monotone voice, "my lawyer will prepare a contract and we are going to get married today, "

"Today ? "I frown as I look at my hospital gown . My face falters immediately at the word 'Today'

"Yes today , "he quirks his eyebrows . Do you have a problem with that? "

"Yes ! "I shout.

"Oh you do , "he smirks, "I guess the wedding is cancelled and our deal is not going through then, "

"No , "I splutter and he looks at me with an amused look.

"no , "I shake my head weakly, "I don't have a problem with that."

Of course I have a problem with that! My sister isn't even here yet and I'm getting married to someone else .This is too much for me to handle. My sister will flip when she finds out that I'm getting married to Jason . My mother too!

"As soon as the doctor gives the go ahead of your discharge within two hours , we are getting married understood , "he speaks as he looks at his watch with a serious face.

"Understood , "I answer back with a curt nod

"I will talk to my beta and we I'll have you prepared for the ceremony, "he responds

"Okay , "I whisper.

I watch him turn his back on me and leave without saying goodbye. I release the long breath that I have been holding for a long time. It's may feel like relief but I have made the biggest mistake of my life .
