The Alpha REJECTED MATE: Chasing her back

Amelia' POV

I happily walked into my room staring at the ballroom gown in front of my dressing table, admiring it.

Tomorrow, my long-time crush will be crowned the alpha after a lot of challenges. Of course, I'm expecting him to propose to me, or I'll confess my feelings for him.

Even though I'm scared of getting rejected as he's yet to meet his fated mate and I'm yet to meet mine, I pray every time to the moon goddesses to make us mates.

As I stared, I heard my name from behind; it was Lillian , my female friend, coming into my room.

"Are you that excited about Richard being the alpha?" She asked as soon as she came inside which made me frown.

I'm Amelia , an orphan in the Sun pack and one of the strongest wolves. Even though my ranking is way too low, I get respected a lot.

In the Sun pack, I am known for always being around Richard , and everyone knows I have a crush on him, but he does not seem to notice.

He was my childhood best friend, and when I was 10, he protected me from being bullied because I was an orphan. I have had a soft spot for him ever since.

Without a doubt, I love him and am willing to go to any length for him. He is the current Alpha's son, but he is stepping down and will be announced as the new alpha.

Even though his father was sad about his stepbrother, Nicholas, who had been kicked out of the pack a few weeks ago.

"He deserves to be the alpha. Everyone knows that he has the aura of an alpha and has proven himself sufficiently." I snapped back at her.

She rolled her eyes as she sat on my bed, "I wish he could look at you like you looked at him." I frowned angrily and chased her out the moment she said that.

I do not want anyone to ruin my mood until tomorrow because I was hoping to be in the best mood when I proposed to him.

I sighed as I sat on my bed. "Moon goddess." Before dozing off.

As I stood up, I let out a yawn and stretched my arms into the air. It was still early in the morning because I just wanted to go as early as I could so I could see Richard before he'll be called on stage.

I dressed up and looked at myself in the mirror adjusting my makeover before standing up to leave outside.

I spotted the car outside waiting for me which made me smile, he got me the ride to get to the main hall.

I got in and we started the ride. Getting there, he parked and came out to open the door for me, "Thanks." I muttered before stepping out going into the hall.

Immediately I entered, I saw Lillian beside Richard talking to him, making me frown. Just yesterday, she was talking about him like he was the biggest jerk of all time and now she's acting all flirty around him.

I walked closer to them, seeing me, she frowned and quickly covered it up with a smile before coming to me, "Guess what Richard just told me?" She asked, linking her arms together with mine.

I stylishly removed it and forced a smile. "You know I don't like guessing because I'm not good at that." Just as she was about to talk, Richard excused her by pulling me along in another way.

"Why are you listening to her? You know how she acts too flirty everywhere." I could tell he was scared but why should he be scared of whatever she's about to say.

"Are you hiding anything from me?" I asked him, he smiled gently which melted my heart. His cute calm face and his non challenging expression, the way he's always able to make me weak in the knees is something I can never ignore.

He moved closer to me which was getting me nervous seeing him so close, I thought he wanted to kiss me so I closed my eyes but I heard him laugh softly.

Opening my eyes, I saw him staring at me, but it was in a way I couldn't predict, he looked at me with so much interest which made me feel like he loved me for some moment.

I felt embarrassed by what I just did and covered my eyes running back to the party as I walked towards my seat.

As I sat down, the alpha came on the stage addressing the pack members while everyone stared in admiration. Of all packs, he was the most loved one and now he was going to step down for his son to take over.

Everyone was anxious to know who's going to be announced as the successor but now that Nicholas is gone, the only successor can only be Richard .

He continued further to how the pack will be and will be more great when he took over then announced him as the next alpha.

Everyone was happy, of course everyone will be, he was very loved like his father and he was the strongest wolf and Prince in the Moon pack.

I smiled as Richard went to the stage and addressed the pack. He doesn't refer to the people as the low and upper class, he only wants peace and love between his pack members.

Everyone hails him, even with his indifference with other pack members and his cold demeanor, he was still loved by everyone. That's what is called an alpha.

After everything, he came down and everyone left to either celebrate or have fun, he came to meet me where I was.

"Do you think I'll be great?" He asked me that question which made me stare at him in disbelief. Where was the event coming from? Of course hell he is great so why is he feeling insecure about it at this point.

"You were chosen for a reason best." The happiest thing I've ever had was about meeting him because he made me feel like I was the most special.

We both went to the second bar far a bit from the party so as to be alone by ourselves. As we walked, our hands were slightly touching each other and with no doubt , I felt sparks all over me.

Getting there, we both sat down asking for a cup of tequila shot. As he drank, I slowly drank from the glass cup.

" I mean I'm yet to know who my fated mate is and the pack will soon pressure me to get a Luna and even have a successor"

Heading what he said, I felt really bad hearing that. It was true, not having Luna beside him was really dangerous because every enemy pack would want to use it against him to step down.

"I understand you ,Richard , you are just being insecure. I know you not having a Luna is not a great thing and might result in fighting for this throne.

He looked at me again in the way he stared at me the other time which I couldn't resist this time.

Crashing his lips on mine as we both kissed passionately not thinking about anyone.

I know we were both drunk but this was different.

It felt as though he was not cautious and just kissed me. Getting up to the room without breaking the kiss.

I could remember getting to the room and locking the door as we both kissed and smooch each other.

Throwing down the cloth on the floor, he pushes me to the bed, his fingers finding their way into my breast cupping as he fondled them which made me moan in pleasure.

Amelia 's POV

«NEXT MORNING.»

I yawned on my bed as I turned around to look at Richard but I couldn't see him so I stood up to take a proper look at the room.

Even though I couldn't remember clearly what happened last night, I knew we both just had sex together and he professed his crush on me too.

As I stood up, I smiled at the blood on the bed signifying my innocence before going into the bathroom to shower.

After showering, I wore the short flag pink gown on the dressing table which I guessed he had just left for me and picked up my purse.

I went out and headed towards the hallway since everywhere was quiet so I was thinking Richard would be addressing everyone today and he would fully start his alpha's duties.

As I walked along the hallway, I could hear the maids looking at me and gossiping but I had no idea what they were talking about.

"Did you know the alpha is choosing a new Luna today during his speech?" I heard one of the maids who passed beside me said,

I gasped, my mind clouded with thoughts. He had finally decided he didn't need any mate and was choosing me because he realized I must have really loved him.

I didn't care about anyone but I do to him in a lot of ways and I will continue doing because he's worth it.

I smiled lightly before walking faster to get to the hallway, I couldn't wait for him to call my name and show me as Luna to the whole pack.

I was scared, I wouldn't lie. All these years, I've been waiting day and night for him to propose to me.

As I got to go the hallway, I met him addressing all the pack members so I stood staring at him from the entrance without going in. He was everything every lady wanted.

"Everyone is wondering who our Luna will be." Immediately he said that, shouts erupted. Everyone wanted to know who was his fated mate or who would be our Luna.

But my mind went to our intimacy last night. The rhyme, the sound, the promise. And lastly when he told me about how he had always crushed on me again.

I wanted to ignore the feeling but I was already getting wet thinking about it even though I knew I shouldn't be that way since other lone wolves can easily detect my wet feelings.

I saw him stare at me for a few minutes and smiled, which he reciprocated back. "It'll be announced in some time, so everyone can enjoy one another as I need to settle some things."

I frowned as he said that but he walked out coming to me. "Why are you here?" He asked me, the question was weird as I'm the one who was supposed to be called Luna right?

"Of course I'll be here, I mean, you forgot..."

"You can't stand here. I'm saying you should go and sit down there." He interrupted me by pointing at the front chair, staying alone.

Without waiting for my response, he went back to the stage and started raising the attention of the pack members which was annoying me.

Why will he ask me to go and sit down at the front lonely seat when he can easily call me from here and he was being distant from me which felt more weird.

"Our new Luna will be someone we all know well. A loving and brave soul, she's the most beautiful woman on this earth." It made me blush when he said that.

I adjusted my gown to fit more so I'll be comfortable walking on the stage.

"It'll be no other person than Lillian ."

Immediately he said that, my shoulders dropped.

The light reflected on me but someone from behind pushed me which made me fall on my knees as she walked inside.

She went on the stage and smiled at everyone as Richard kissed her lips, I could feel my breath seizing away just with the scene.

My heart was burning in pain as I was confused at whatever was happening in front of me right now. My friend Lillian was announced as the new Luna of the Sun pack or was the man I love announcing it himself.

"She's my fated mate, most of you all might be wondering why we kept it a secret not talking since we found out a few weeks ago but that was because we were trying to get father and mother's appreciation."

"And for the alpha succession party to go smoothly and successfully." As he said that, I could feel my heart beating rapidly in pain

No no no, I don't want to believe what I was hearing. Few weeks ago? I have been lied to. Used, dumped and betrayed.

Everyone was chanting her name and praising her while she stood shamelessly smiling and waving hands at everyone.

Shocked was an understatement to describe how I felt right now as I stood up angrily dashing towards the stage.

"What do you two think you are doing right now?" I shouted as I cleaned my tears and gored at Lillian angrily.

"Why her, Richard ? Why is she the one to be your mate? Why does she deserve to be your Luna? What happens to the promise you told me? Have you forgotten what happened between us last night?"

He let go of Lillian 's hand and stared at me, he broke into a smile at first turning it into a laughter as his face turned cold all of a sudden.

This will be the first time he'll stare at me this way and all I could see was hatred, pure hatred all over it.

"That was just the numerous mistakes two opposite gender friends make when drunk so don't think about it. It was just a fling." Immediately he said that, I staggered backwards.

My eyes showed up in tears, my heart hurt and I couldn't believe this was how Richard ever thought of me. He just told me I was just a fling due to a numerous mistake every friend does make.

My innocence? Did he forget he took it away? Did he forget he was the first man I'll ever have something with.

My body fuelled in anger as I climbed up to the stage pulling him to face me as I slapped him across his right cheek.

Slam!

Amelia 's POV

I was equally surprised at what I just did, my tears now flowing as I pointed my hands towards him. "I'd give you my heart because I thought you were worthy of it."

"I'd allowed you to sleep with me because I thought you were worthy of my innocence, I'd loved you for years because I thought you felt the same and you were just viewing me as a fling to you just because I would lower myself down to you huh." I flared angrily in tears.

It hurts! It hurts how much I loved him and was stupid for him but he was only being stupid about it because he knows.

"Was it two days ago? When you wanted to tell me something and he shut me up? Was it then you both knew you were both mates?" I turned to Lillian .

She scoffed, "I thought you were overly in love. I only wanted to warn you to stay clear of my man. Who knew you would go to any length of making yourself a slut to him." She said, rolling her eyes at me and my mind boiled in anger.

"Thwack." The slap was so smooth and fast that everyone gasped at the scene. I was surprised as well because I never expected that to come out this way even though I had been taking in my anger.

Richard turned towards me in anger, doing something I never expected. He pushes me violently, causing me to lose my balance as I fall down.

I groaned in pain as I stared at him, "Who'll want an orphan and no rank girl like you to be my Luna. To be the Sun packsLuna. Are you worthy of being one yourself? You expect me to reject my own mate just to stay with you? What can you even offer back to me?"

I was shocked at his statement. I was an orphan with no rank? If my parents hadn't died to save his parents. Does he think his father would still be alive right now?

My mom died because she went in to save his mother even though it was too late as both of them died and his father was saved by my father but he couldn't come out.

"You do know why my parents died right?" I cleaned my tears standing up. I was in pain but I needed answers.

"Yes. They died saving my parents after they set up the trap which almost killed my father but killed my mother. Isn't it worth it for them to die?"

He then pushed me out of their view , clearing his throat like he wanted to announce something to the pack members.

"Our Luna will only be Lillian because she's worthy enough to stand beside me as one. And as for Amelia , she's now stripped of her position and banished out of the moon pack." He said and smiled.

Claps and laughter erupted in the room as I shook my head in disapproval. I didn't want to believe he just banished me out of the moon pack.

I ran away in tears, my face full of embarrassment as I went to my room to pick up some of my stuff. I just want to be out of here truly.

As I was on my way out, Lillian came to meet me. I frowned seeing as she blocked my way with her maids.

"So how does it feel to be abandoned?" She asked me, I didn't want to reply to her back and make an attempt to leave but she pushed me backwards again so I'll be facing her.

"Lillian , I agreed you win, you've got him already so please let me go. I am already banished and won't have anything to do with the pack again so enjoy it while it lasts." I said back to her which made her frown as she pushed me.

If it wasn't because of my wolf strength, I'd have been down with the way she pushed me. "What do you mean?" She asked me angrily.

"I'm telling you to enjoy it while it lasts because this your position wouldn't last till you thought of it. Richard doesn't love you. He will never do it." I said and pushed her out of the way walking out but stopped as I got to the main gate.

I looked back at the pack and I couldn't stop my tears as I walked away. He couldn't even come to see me for the last time.

I at least expected him to feel remorseful and come to see me for the last time. Seeing as he wouldn't come, I left without looking back so I wouldn't feel reluctant again.

«FEW HOURS LATER.»

I stopped at the roadside. I was far away from the werewolf pack and now close to the human world. I was scared, scared for myself. I can't stay in the pack house since I was banished already.

And I can't stay with the rogue, I'll end up being hurt. I was weak, I was feeling nauseous and dizzy because I've been walking for too long without taking a rest.

As I made an attempt to walk away and cross the road, I had no idea what happened next but all I remember was something hitting me before I collapsed.

«AT THE HOSPITAL: TWO WEEKS LATER.»

I opened my eyes slowly. I was weak at first but my strength was recovering slowly, I needed good food and energy so as to recover my wolf.

I could feel it weakening which was weird because I had no idea why, the door opened and a man in white came in which made me jump scared.

I wanted to snarl at him to scare him but looking at my surroundings, I started making a casual guess. Human world?

"Where am I?"

"Why am I here?" I asked him angrily, pointing at him.

"Relax!" He said and smiled. I could see his deep dimples while he smiled . He looked handsome with his black hair and blue eyes.

"I hit you with my car a few weeks ago and even though you weren't hurt, you were in a coma for a while which I had no idea why because there was literally nothing wrong with you."

"It was very surprising because it was my car that was damaged and you were not hurt one single bit." I can't be hurt by a little thing like a car.

If it wasn't because I was too weak, I could end up destroying it. My head began spinning again which I closed my eyes for and relaxed.

"How many weeks have I been out?"? I asked him the question on my mind and he dropped a report on my leg.

"You've been out for two weeks and there's one more thing." I looked at him to listen to him.

"You are pregnant."
