Chapter 1 BETHANY

DESCRIPTION OF THE REALM OF DREADOR

Dreador is a mystical world inhabited by witches, wizards, dragons, and werewolves. Every century, a king is chosen from each part of the realm: the Head Sorcerer, the Dragon King, and the Alpha King of the Blood Moon Pack.

Although these mystical creatures can travel to the human realm through a portal, they are only allowed to do so for a limited period.

The Alpha King is the leader of the Blood Moon Pack, the Head Sorcerer is the leader of the Dyla coven, and the Dragon King is the head of the Volcano den. These three leaders have the responsibility of protecting the realm of Dreador at all costs and ensuring the safety of their people. The Moon Goddess, the Eternal Dragon, and the Sorcerer Supreme choose these leaders carefully, recognizing the enormity of their task.

CHAPTER 1- Bethany

I slammed my head against the desk once again, trying to comprehend the paperwork sitting in front of me. It was a daunting task, and I was struggling to keep up with the pace. As expected, I hated my job, but it was a necessary evil. I had no choice but to stick with it if I wanted to make ends meet.

As I sat there, lost in my thoughts, I heard faint footsteps approaching. I looked up to see my closest colleague, Claudia, walking towards me. I preferred to keep to myself and distance myself from others because I didn't want any unnecessary drama. However, Claudia was different.

"Hey," I greeted her.

"You look miserable," she laughed.

I gave her a small smile, but before I could respond, she asked, "Are you up for an outing tonight?"

I was about to decline, but she interrupted me before I could get a word out. "Great, see you at 8 o'clock. I'll send you the address. Dress nice," she said with a smile and walked away.

I looked back at the paperwork, realizing that I did need a break. I was looking forward to the upcoming outing, something I normally wouldn't have consented to.

After work on Fridays, I always enjoyed walking home. The thirty-minute walk back to my apartment complex was peaceful and serene, with breathtaking views of the stunning environment. It allowed me to be alone with my thoughts, which I valued since I was alone most of the time.

As I opened the door to my apartment, I received a text from Claudia that read, "Sky High Club. Be there early and dress to impress." I rolled my eyes at the last statement and made my way inside. It was only six o'clock, which meant I had two hours to get ready. I decided to take a nap first, as my after-work naps were crucial.

I woke up feeling refreshed and energized, ready to take on the night ahead. After taking a shower, I put on my best dress. It was a glittery black dress with a plunging neckline and an open back. I had bought it a year ago, but never really had a chance to wear it anywhere fun. As I looked into the mirror, I saw a petite curvy woman staring back at me. I wondered if my body did the dress justice, but I pushed those thoughts aside. I put on some silver heels and headed out to meet Claudia at the Sky High Club, which was a trendy and upscale club known for its luxurious atmosphere and high-end clientele.

As I walked in, I was immediately struck by the glitz and glamour of the place. The music was loud and the lights were flashing, creating an electric atmosphere that was both exhilarating and overwhelming. Claudia was already there, sitting at the bar, sipping on a martini.

"Hey!" she said, giving me a warm smile.

"Hey," I replied, feeling a little out of place.

"Don't worry. You look great," she said, giving me a reassuring smile.

"Thanks," I replied. "So, what are we doing here today?"

She gave me a look that said I should read the room, and I responded with an awkward smile. As I looked around, I saw people dancing and grinding their bodies against each other. I began to question my decision to come here. It was not my scene at all.

Claudia asked, "So, what do you want to drink?"

"I don't drink, Claudia," I replied.

But she insisted, "Tonight you will. Bartender, two 'Sex on the Beach,' please."

After five glasses of liquor, we were partying hard, dancing amidst the sweaty bodies.

Someone tapped my shoulder lightly, and I looked up to see a pair of intense eyes staring at me.

"May I dance with you?" the stranger asked.

I looked up at the stranger, taken aback by his good looks. He had intense dark eyes and dark hair that was styled in a messy yet attractive way. He was dressed in a black suit that showed off his broad shoulders and muscular build. I hesitated for a moment, not sure if I wanted to dance with a stranger. But before I could respond, Claudia nudged me and whispered, "Go for it, girl!"

I smiled nervously at the stranger and said "Yeah, I mean if you'd like that".

He took my hand and led me to the dance floor. As we began to dance, I could feel the heat emanating from his body. He held me close, his hands on my waist, and I could feel my heart racing. I had never felt so alive before.

We danced for what felt like hours, lost in the music and the moment. As the night wore on, the stranger and I grew closer, our bodies moving in perfect synchronization. I felt a connection with him. It was as if I was on cloud nine.

He pressed his face against my neck and asked, "Would you like to take this somewhere more private?"

I nodded yes because something in my body compelled me to. I didn't know what I was getting myself into but I was going to have a good time while at it.

He held my hand and led me through the crowd and then outside to a black sleek car and he asked me to get into it. It felt like there was something I could trust about this stranger, so I got into the car and he drove off

Chapter 2 ALPHA RYDER

Chapter 2- Alpha Ryder

As I stood up from the meeting, my Beta Duscha said, "It was pretty boring, wasn't it?" I responded with a grunt. I wasn't much of a talker. However, I was itching to let my wolf run free, and I also yearned for a warm body to spend the night with. I preferred a human female, as I didn't mess around with she-wolves ever since my mate passed away.

Duscha attempted to embrace me, but I evaded her and informed her that I had somewhere to be.

I am proud to lead the Blood Moon pack, and I take great honour in doing so. My pack members are satisfied and content, and I believe that I am doing a fine job.

As soon as I arrived at the Royal pack house, I rushed up to my room, took off my shirt, and headed to the backyard. I transformed into my majestic black wolf, who was proud and arrogant. Shaking his fur, he began to walk down the path with small strides. Before long, he broke into a full sprint and raced until we reached the end of the cliff where he let out a loud howl.

I understood his pain; he missed our mate, just as I did. Maxine was a beautiful and strong Luna. I loved her deeply. Maxine was a stunning and resilient Luna, and I adored her. However, she was taken from me by an illness, and I despised myself for being so powerful yet unable to save her. My wolf released another mournful howl, expressing his agony.

As soon as I finished my run, I went back to the Royal Pack House. In the kitchen, I saw my mother waiting for me with a sad smile on her face.

"Hello, Mother," I greeted her.

"My dear, you should put on some clothes. The poor maids are having an eyeful," she replied.

I looked down and realised that I was standing there naked. I sent her a curt nod and rushed upstairs to my room. All wolves had the power of super-fast speed. Once I got to my room, I quickly took a shower and dressed up in a suit.

As I was looking at myself in the mirror, Chester walked in, Ches is my Gamma and I trust him with my life, he's the only one allowed into my private chambers. I turned to him and gave him a nod of acknowledgement.

"I see you're going to the human realm, need company?" he asked.

"No man, I'm fine" I replied, assuring him that I could handle myself.

"Ok, be careful" and with that, he walked out.

I looked at myself one more time, making sure my golden eyes were back to their normal black colour then I stepped through the portal into the human world. The air was different here, thick with the scent of pollution and exhaust fumes. I made my way to my hotel, which I owned. It was a luxury establishment that my pack members could stay at whenever they wanted.

I went straight to the VIP suite, which was reserved for me, and my car keys were already waiting for me. I took a shot of whiskey to steady my nerves and then headed out to the garage. The drive to Sky High Club was uneventful, but I kept my senses on high alert, scanning the surroundings for any hint of danger.

I had been coming to Sky High Club for the longest time, so I was a VIP member. When I arrived, they showed me up to the VIP area where I was served drinks and entertained by women as usual. But something caught my eye on the dance floor, or rather, someone. She was a beautiful woman with long, flowing hair and a stunning figure. I couldn't take my eyes off her, and I felt a strange pull towards her.

I sat there, watching her move to the rhythm of the music. She was like a beautiful bird, free to fly and do whatever she wanted. I couldn't help but be drawn to her, and my eyes followed her every move.

As she danced, her long brown hair swayed gracefully, almost as if it had a life of its own. She was wearing a simple black dress that hugged her curves in all the right places, and her skin seemed to radiate in the dimly lit room.

I couldn't resist the urge to get closer to her, so I made my way down the stairs and tapped her shoulder lightly. She turned around, and I was struck by the beauty of her green eyes, speckled with gold.

"May I dance with you?" I asked, hoping that she would say yes.

She looked at me for a moment, and for a second, I thought she was going to say no. But then she smiled awkwardly and said, "Yeah, I mean if you'd like".

I nodded in response. I wasn't there to chat; I needed someone to relieve my tension and she was the perfect human for the night.

I took her hand and led her to the dance floor. As we began to dance, I couldn't help but feel a connection with her. She moved with such grace and elegance that it was impossible not to be drawn to her.

As we danced, I caught a whiff of her scent. It was sweet and alluring, and I found myself wanting more of it. I leaned in closer to her, and she didn't resist and I kissed the side of her neck, wanting more of this sweet scent.

She leaned in too, and soon our faces were inches apart.

I could feel her breath on my face, and my heart began to race. I knew what I wanted, and I was sure she wanted it too. So I asked, "Do you want to take this to somewhere more private?" And she nodded in response but that was all I needed.

I took her hand and led her out of the club and to my car parked waiting outside.

I opened the door for her and led her to my car. The engine roared to life as I turned the key and we began our journey to the hotel. Upon arrival, I quickly collected my keys and we made our way to the suite. As soon as the door closed, I pulled her close to me, feeling the warmth of her body against mine. Our lips met in a passionate kiss, and I could feel her responding eagerly. The intensity of our embrace grew with each passing moment, and soon we were both lost in the moment, completely consumed by our desire for each other.

The night was a canvas for our passion, as our bodies merged in an embrace that was both tender and intense. Our fingers traced every contour, our lips sought out every inch, and our hearts beat as one, fueling our fervour. Each passing moment was a discovery, each sensation more exhilarating than the last.

I felt my inner wolf stirring more than once, and I could sense my eyes turning into a primal golden hue, indicating that my wolf was eager to come out and play. However, I managed to control myself and kept him at bay. Once we were done, she fell asleep.

I left some money on the side table for her as payment for her services. Before leaving, I took one last look at her and then made my way back to Dreador.

Chapter 3 BETHANY

Chapter 3- Bethany

************

The gentle flutter of my eyelids brought me back to consciousness, and I found myself surrounded by the warmth of a plush and luxurious bed. The comfort it provided was so indulgent that I couldn't help but feel grateful for the softness beneath me. As I sat upright, my mind started to race with memories of the previous night, the scents, the sounds, and the sensations.

My cheeks flushed as the events of the evening came flooding back, every detail painted into my mind like a beautiful work of art. But as I looked around, I realised that he was nowhere to be found. Where was he?

After looking around the suite for a while, I realised that he was nowhere to be found. I scanned the room, hoping to catch a glimpse of him but to no avail. That's when my eyes fell upon the stack of cash left on the bedside table.

The sight of all that money left me feeling hurt and bewildered. I couldn't help but wonder if I had been used. The feeling of foolishness crept up on me, and I sat down on the floor, feeling the weight of my choices and the shame that came with them. I was lost in thought, trying to understand why I agreed to follow him here. Was I the kind of person to sleep with someone I didn't know? The question lingered in my mind.

I couldn't shake off the guilt and regret that consumed me. With a heavy heart, I gathered my clothes and belongings from the hotel room, trying my best to maintain my composure and not let the world see what was going on inside me. Every step I took out of that room felt like a weight on my shoulders, reminding me of what I had done. Despite my best efforts, I couldn't help but feel like everyone around me could see the shame written all over my face. Nevertheless, I kept my head held high and tried to walk with what was left of my dignity.

As soon as I got to my apartment complex, Claudia was waiting for me with a bright smile on her face. Her cheerful demeanour was in stark contrast to the situation I had just left behind. I couldn't help but wonder why she was so happy.

Without wasting any time, she stepped in front of me and asked, "So, how was it?"

I stared into her eyes and said nothing.

She asked again, "Was he good in bed?"

When I didn't respond again, she assumed the worst and said, "It was that bad, huh?"

I didn't bother correcting her, but I think she saw that I wasn't in the mood to talk to her so with a sad smile, she changed the topic. "Anyways, this is your phone. You left it at the club yesterday after disappearing with Mr Hottie. See you later," she said, handing me the phone and then leaving.

As soon as Claudia left, a wave of guilt washed over me. I couldn't shake off the feeling that I had let her down. She had seemed genuinely interested in knowing how my night went and how I was doing, but I had pushed her away, just like I always do to everyone else. It wasn't that I didn't appreciate her concern, but I was just so overwhelmed by the events of last night and how I was feeling now.

She didn't deserve to be treated that way. It was then that I made a mental note to apologise to her at work on Monday, this was my thought as I made my way into my apartment.

I had a really terrible headache which I figured must have developed because of how much I drank last night.I genuinely felt that my head would fall off. I decided to make myself a cup of tea and sat down on my couch, hoping to relax.

However, my mind kept wandering back to the stranger I met yesterday. Thinking about him, I realised that there was something strange about him. I thought I saw his eyes turn gold, but I brushed off the thought, as it seemed impossible.

As I slowly stood up from the couch, my mind was consumed with a deep sense of guilt and shame. The memories of last night, tangled in the sheets with a guy I didn't know, kept flashing in my mind like a broken record. Every time I closed my eyes, the images of what had happened flooded my mind, making me feel even more embarrassed. I knew I had to do something to shake off these feelings, so I headed straight to the shower, hoping to wash away the physical and emotional residue of the previous night's events.

The water cascaded down my body, and as I closed my eyes and took a deep breath,I felt the warmth of the water on my skin. I allowed it to soothe me, trying to forget all the things that happened the previous night. I could feel a warm blush creeping onto my cheeks as I remembered the intimate moments with him.

However, I quickly snapped out of it, reminding myself that I didn't even know his name. I couldn't help but wonder what he thought of me. Did he think I was just a cheap woman? The fact that he had left money on the bedside table only added to my feeling of worthlessness. It was as if he had paid me to perform an act that prostitutes performed. The thoughts swirled around in my head, until I finally realised that I didn't need to worry about what he thought. I needed to focus on my own self-worth.

After my long shower, I tried to shake off the thoughts of him that had been consuming me for the past few hours. I put on my favourite pair of comfortable loungewear and decided to distract myself by watching a movie. However, no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't stop thinking about him. The entire weekend was spent in a state of confusion and regret.

As Monday morning rolled around, I knew that I had to snap out of it and get back to work. So, I got up and got dressed in a suit skirt and a bright pink top and I made my way out of my apartment complex.

Upon arriving at the office, I headed straight to Claudia's desk. She was always the first person I saw in the morning since I started working here, and she has welcomed me with coffee every single day. Today wasn't an exception.

"Hey, Claudia," I said, trying to sound as remorseful as possible.

"Hey, Beth," she replied, smiling at me.

"I just wanted to say that I'm sorry for the way I acted the other day. I was in a terrible mood, and I shouldn't have taken it out on you," I explained.

Claudia's smile widened, and she reached out to give me a quick hug. "It's okay, Beth. I understand. We all have bad experiences sometimes," she said.

I laughed, getting the drift of her joke before leaving her to continue with her work.

As I made my way to my desk, I couldn't help but feel a sense of relief wash over me. Claudia had been so understanding, and that had lifted a weight off my shoulders. I took a deep breath and turned my attention to the pile of paperwork that had been waiting for me. It was a daunting task, but I felt determined to tackle it today and finally get it over with.

As I began to sort through the papers, I couldn't help but feel grateful for my job even though I hated it. Despite the lingering sadness that still weighed on my mind, I knew that I had to make the most of the day ahead. There was work to be done, so I started working.

I managed to focus on my work, and the day passed by quickly. As soon as the clock struck five o'clock, I packed up my bag and headed home. I decided to stop by the grocery store on the way and pick up some ingredients to make a nice dinner. As I wandered down the aisles, I couldn't help but notice how many couples were shopping together. It made me feel a little lonely, but I pushed the thought aside and focused on my shopping.

Back at home, I put on some music and began to cook. There was something soothing about chopping vegetables and stirring a pot of soup that helped calm my mind. As I sat down to eat, I turned on the TV and tried to find something to watch.

But no matter what I put on, my mind kept drifting back to him, to the way we danced that night, his hands roaming my body in that hotel room and the strange way that his eyes turned gold even though I thought I was imagining that part. I knew I needed to stop thinking about him but I couldn't.

After dinner, I decided to take a walk around the neighbourhood. The cool night air felt refreshing on my skin, and the stars twinkled above me. As I walked, I thought about everything that had happened over the past few days, trying to make sense of it all.

When I finally arrived home, I was completely drained and utterly exhausted. The day had been long, and I was hoping that a good night's rest would help clear my head. As I crawled into bed, I couldn't shake off this sudden feeling of dread that washed over me, as if something ominous was looming over me. I couldn't help but think about the strange man, and I wondered if I would ever be able to forget about him. His intense gaze and his mysterious aura had left an impression on me. As my eyes slowly closed, I drifted off to sleep, thinking about the stranger.
