Tobias Richfield is a ruthless and powerful lycan leader of the land who will stop at nothing to maintain his power and influence. Scarlett Leighton is a young she-werewolf who is convinced that Tobias, the lycan king, was the one responsible for her family's massacre. Despite his protestations of innocence, Scarlett is consumed with a thirst for revenge, and is determined to bring him down at all costs. Scarlett thinks she might have to kill him while he's sleeping. This would all be a lot easier if Tobias weren't so darn good-looking. Will her desire for vengeance ultimately lead to her own destruction?

Chapter 1 Brutal Attack

Dark Valley, medieval time, 1455 A.D.

"Wipe out the entire pack! Leave no survivors!" the voice commanded. The order was clear and direct, spoken with venomous intent. The group of rogue lycans from Savage Fury pack gathered around, nodding in agreement as they prepared their weapons.

One of them spoke up, "But sir, what about the cubs and pups? They're innocent."

The voice snarled in response, "Innocent? They're the future of the pack. We can't afford to let them grow up and seek revenge. Kill them all!"

They exchanged nervous looks, but none had the courage to question the directive. They proceeded into the ominous and shadowy valley, clutching their weapons, prepared to carry out the order.

The moon was full and bright in the sky, casting an eerie glow over the dense forest. Dradraley, known as Dark Valley, was a place in a dark and foreboding realm. It was a deep and winding valley that was shrouded in darkness, with jagged cliffs that loom high overhead and block out the sun. The valley was surrounded by towering mountains that are eternally snow-capped, adding to the sense of coldness and isolation.

Scarlett Leighton, a young she-wolf from Dark Valley Pack, howled in terror. Her eyes blazed with a mix of rage and despair as she witnessed the brutal murder of her family. Her howls of terror echoed through the night as she charged towards the attackers, her teeth bared and claws at the ready. Despite being outnumbered, she fought fiercely, determined to avenge the deaths of her loved ones.

The air was thick with the scent of blood and sweat as Scarlett clashed with the rogue lycans. She could hear their snarls and growls, feel the impact of their blows as they fought tooth and nail for dominance. Her senses were heightened, her instincts honed as she tried to outmaneuver and overpower her opponents.

As the battle raged on, Scarlett's heart sank as she watched one by one, her pack members fell under the savage attacks of the rogue lycans. She was the last one standing, surrounded by the enemy. Her body was covered in wounds, her energy waning, but still, she refused to give up.

After the transformation, once her human-like figure had become the powerful, savage beast. Her body was covered in cuts and bruises, her furs now matted with dirt and blood. Her claws were extended as she fought against the rogue lycans who had massacred her family. With each swipe, she tried to release her anger and pain. But the more she fought, the more she realized how futile it all was.

Her pack was gone, and she was alone in the fight. But even in her darkest moment, Scarlett refused to give up. She screamed, rage and despair consuming her as she fought on, trying to avenge her family's death. The sound of her howls echoed through the forest, a desperate plea for someone, anyone, to come to her aid.

But it was all for naught. The rogue lycans were too powerful, too bloodthirsty. Before she could even make a move, a rogue lycan tackled her from behind, pinning her to the ground. Scarlett struggled against her captor, but his grip was too strong.

"Gotcha!" the lycan growled, baring his teeth.

She collapsed to the ground, battered, hurt, and alone. Tears streamed down her face as she howled loudly in anguish. "Why? Why did this have to happen?"

The lycans surrounding her cackled and snarled, relishing in their victory. But Scarlett's spirit was not broken. Through her tears, she vowed revenge. "I'll make you pay for this," she whispered, clutching the precious pendant tightly in her neck, the only thing her mother left for her. "I swear it!"

When Scarlett was tackled to the ground, a lycan snarling in her face. She struggled to get free, but it was pointless. As she lay there, bruised, battered, helpless and terrified, Scarlett knew that this was the end.

As she struggled to catch her breath, one of the lycans stepped forward, a cruel grin on his face. "Looks like we got ourselves a little stray," he snarled, his breath hot on Scarlett's face. "What should we do with her, boys?"

The other lycans laughed and jeered, closing in around her. Scarlett felt a surge of fear course through her body, but she refused to show any weakness.

"You won't get away with this," she spat, struggling to stand up despite the pain.

The lycans only laughed harder at her defiance, but suddenly something strange happened. A loud howl echoed through the forest, causing the rogue lycans to freeze in fear.

"What was that?" one of them whispered.

They looked at each other and wondered, "Is that lycan king?"

And before anyone could reply, another, closer howl echoed across the night. As Scarlett realized the howls were coming from another lycan pack, her heart began to race. She had to get away while the rogue lycans were distracted.

As the rogue lycans froze in fear, Scarlett felt a strange energy wash over her. She felt a connection to the Moon Goddess, the deity worshipped by all werewolf and lycans, and it was as if the goddess was blessing her with a new power. The moon shone brighter in the sky, and the howl turned into a chorus of howls from lycans all around the forest, all calling out to the Moon Goddess.

Scarlett felt her body start to change, her senses sharpening, her strength and agility increasing. She howled along with the others, feeling the power of the goddess coursing through her veins. The rogue lycans were no match for her now, and she was ready to fight with renewed vigor and strength.

Before she could finish dealing with them, a dark figure stepped out from behind the trees. It was Tobias Richfield, the powerful and feared king of the lycans in his transformed state, and he was flanked by a group of his most trusted subordinates.

They all froze and stopped doing whatever they were doing.

The rogue lycans quivered in fear as they bowed down to Tobias. One of them stuttered, "My king, we're just..."

Tobias cut him off, "Explain yourselves. What's going on here?"

Another rogue lycan spoke up, "My king, we need your help. There is a pack of werewolves that have been causing trouble in our territory. We have to punish them."

Tobias, in his lycan form, towered over the rogue lycans, his eyes narrowing as he listened to their plea. "What kind of trouble have they been causing?" he growled, trying to gather more information.

The rogue lycan handed Tobias a parchment, filled with false accusations against the Dark Valley pack. Tobias' eyes widened in shock and anger as he read through the accusations.

Tobias hesitated, unsure of what to do. As a lycan king, he had always been taught to respect the rules of the land, but he had also heard rumors of trouble caused by the some werewolf pack.

"They've been stealing heirlooms from us, causing chaos, attacking our pack members, and even killing our leader. They need to be stopped," the rogue lycan said, his tone growing angrier.

Tobias considered the rogue lycan's words carefully. He knew that as the lycan king, it was his duty to protect his people and maintain order in the land.

"Fine. Let me deal with this," Tobias finally said. "No more unnecessary violence."

Then he looked at Scarlett and saw the burning flames in her red eyes. "And who might you be?" he growled.

Scarlett did not shrink from confronting him head on. "It's not necessary to know who I am. You've wiped off my pack, and I'm left here to fend for myself. I won't stop till you pay for it."

Tobias was taken aback by her boldness and determination. He could sense the anger and pain radiating from the young she-wolf, and it was clear that she wasn't going to back down. He realized that she wasn't just a helpless victim; she was a survivor.

"I understand your pain," Tobias said, his voice steady and calm. "But I can assure you that I had nothing to do with the attack on your family."

Scarlett snarled, her claws extending as she took a step closer to Tobias. "I don't trust you," she growled. "You're a lycan, just like them. How do I know you're not in league with them?"

Tobias held up his hands in a gesture of peace. "I can understand why you might be hesitant to trust me," he said. "I'm the lycan king, and it's my duty to make peace with all werewolves, including you."

Scarlett's anger for the lycan king grew as she fixed him with an icy look. What did he expect her to do as her entire pack lay dead at the hands of his people?

As Tobias tried to approach her, Scarlett's anger boiled over and she lashed out at him, her fists clenched tightly. Her face contorted with rage as she saw him taking a step towards her. The reminders of her family's brutal murder flashed before her eyes, and she felt a surge of anger that she couldn't control. Her hands balled into fists, and she took a step forward, ready to strike.

"Stay back!" she growled at him, her voice laced with venom. She bared her teeth, warning him to stay away. The rogue lycans paid no heed to her threats, instead they pressed forward.

As the rogue lycans closed in on her, Scarlett knew that she had to fight for her life. With a growl, she bared her teeth and prepared to fight. She felt a surge of energy as her werewolf instincts kicked in, giving her the strength and speed she needed to fight back. She frantically looked around to see if there was any way to get away from the lycans, but they were all around them.

During her desperate situation, she spotted a familiar secret passage from her childhood. She slowly moved an inch to the area, attempting to remain undetected while at the same time defending herself from the rogue lycans' attack.

When Scarlett instinctively touched the pendant around her neck as if it gave her incredible power, a strange thing happened. She felt her head spinning and her vision blurred, and she suddenly felt a strange energy coursing through her body. The pendant grew hot and seemed to vibrate against her skin.

As she held the pendant close to her chest, a bright white light engulfed her and she took this opportunity to run quickly. When the light faded, she found herself in a new place. She attempted to make sense of her surroundings while simultaneously feeling lost and bewildered.

Scarlett knew that her life would never be the same. She had lost everything she held dear–her family, her home, her pack. She was alone, with nothing but her own strength and determination to protect her.

At the same moment when she was beginning to worry that she had gone completely astray, she saw the moon shining through the woods. It was a lake, and the water was so still that she could see the moonlight reflection. She plunged into the water and dove to the other side of the lake without giving it a second thought.

Chapter 2 Stealing His Robe

The next day, Scarlet woke up on the shore, the sun's rays beating down on her naked body. As she lay there, exhausted, battered and bruised, she knew that she had to find a way to escape. She clutched her mother's pendant at her neck tightly as her precious treasure, as if it was her only hope and safe harbor.

She groaned as she tried to sit up, her head pounding with a throbbing headache. She looked around, trying to get her bearings.

Reminders of the brutal attack flooded back to her. She remembered running for her life, her family scattered in all directions and they were all killed. She remembered being tackled to the ground by the rogue lycans, confronting the lycan king, and then nothing.

When she tried to stand up, she realized that she had nothing on her except for a tattered dress. It had been ripped to shreds during the attack and her transformation, leaving her completely naked.

She walked along the shore for what seemed like hours until she stumbled upon a beautiful springs with waterfalls by the lake. She could see that the water was crystal clear and the shady trees and dense shrubs surrounding the lake provided a sense of serenity that she desperately needed.

For a moment, Scarlett forgot about her hardships and simply stood there, taking in the breathtaking beauty of the scene before her. She knew that she had to keep moving, but for that brief moment, she allowed herself to be lost in the serenity of the spring.

She sat back against the rock, trying to think of a plan. She needed to find clothes and shelter, and she needed to find out where she was.

As Scarlet admired the stunning scenery around her, she suddenly heard a rustling in the distant bushes. She tensed up, her muscles primed for a fight or flight response, but she decided to find a secluded spot nearby where she could rest and take in the peaceful atmosphere of the spring.

And then, she saw a figure appear from the distance.

It was a handsome man, his muscular body glistening in the sunlight as he walked over the cool spring water.

Scarlett was taken aback by the sight, but she didn't want to alert the man or get into any trouble.

Her heart skipped a beat as she watched him walk towards the rock, then he took off all his clothes and put it on the large rock. It seems that the man had deliberately left them there before swimming into the spring.

To her utter disbelief and embarrassment, the man was now standing there completely naked!

She couldn't help but admire his strong, confident stride when he seemed completely at ease in his surroundings, as if he belonged in this natural wonderland. He had striking blue eyes and short black hair, and his muscular figure glistened in the sunlight.

Somehow, his presence added to the peaceful atmosphere of the lake, as if he was a part of the beauty that surrounded him.

Scarlett continued to watch him from a distance without making the slightest sound, feeling a sense of awe and wonder at the sight before her. It was as if she was waiting for the right moment to pounce on her prey, but it wasn't the case.

She could see that the man was a powerful figure, someone who commanded respect and admiration from all those around him. She was convinced that he was a lycan, probably a leader of some clan.

He was tall and well-built, with broad shoulders and a lean, muscular physique. His chiseled features were defined by a strong jawline, full lips, and piercing eyes that seemed to look straight through you.

His short hair was thick and dark, framing his face in soft waves that cascaded down to his broad shoulders. His skin was smooth and bronzed, glistening in the sunlight as if he had just emerged from the water.

As he moved, his muscles rippled beneath his skin, a testament to his strength and athleticism. He carried himself with an air of confidence and ease, as if he was comfortable in his own skin.

And then... her eyes slowly moved downwards. She felt the heat of embarrassment spread rapidly across her cheeks as she quickly turned her gaze from his private part. But she'd already seen it!

Scarlett blushed as she realized this was the first time she had ever peeked in on a man when he was as naked as the day he was born.

Her attention was immediately drawn to the man's clothing pile, which was laying on a large rock not far from her spot. A mischievous idea occurred to her to steal the robe. She thought about borrowing it for a while and giving it back to him later.

Before she took action, she waited a few moments for the man to dive underwater and took her chance by sneaking up to the rock.

Scarlett didn't wait any longer as she couldn't resist the temptation and quickly snatched the robe, remove her awfully tattered clothes and put it on over her naked body. She stroked the crimson robe immediately as she got it in her hand. It was as fine as silk and as thin as cotton, with a few embossed seams. This type of cloth looked shiny under the light.

What a beautiful robe!

The robe fitted her perfectly!

It was like a gift from heaven!

Scarlett stared at the man in the distance as she muttered to herself, "I apologize, sir. I'm completely naked and this robe looks nice, could you lend me your robe and consider it as a good deed today? I promise I'll give it back to you one day."

With that, she ran faster into the forest with the robe, she couldn't help but feel a strange sense of comfort in the man's robe. It was warm and clean, a stark contrast to her own worn and ragged clothes. But she also knew that the guilt of stealing it would weigh heavily on her mind.

Scarlett had not gone so far before hearing a distant howl behind her. "Damn it! Who has stolen my robe?"

As soon as she heard the man shouting behind her, she ran as fast as she could into the forest, feeling a mixture of fear, guilt, and embarrassment.

***

Tobias Richfield was swimming in the lake, enjoying the calm of the cool water and the tranquility it brought. As he emerged from the water, he noticed something strange: his robe, which he had left on a big rock near the shore, was gone. When he realized what had happened, he let out an enraged growl.

He couldn't find it anywhere except the rags lying by the rock. He frowned as he picked up the rags and fiddled it in his hand.

This seemed to be the material of women's clothing...

Tobias looked down his own body and felt irritated when he realized only his white shirt and black pants remained. He had never been in this state since starting his journey.

That bad girl came out of nowhere!

A sinking feeling settled in his chest as he realized that the girl had stolen his precious possession under his nose. He quickly put on his remaining clothes and called for one of his most trusted guardians, Joel Serge, to come to him.

Moments later, Joel and his guards came up from the bushes nearby.

Tobias looked at him for a moment and then asked, "Where did you go to entertain yourself when I was swimming? What took you so long to come after hearing my call?"

They shook with fear and bowed down to the ground, despite the fact that their king was as gentle as the breeze and rain during the springtime. "Excuse me, My King! We've been waiting somewhere miles away from the lake..."

"I see." Tobias fiddled the tattered clothes with his fingers and asked, "Did you see someone come near the lake?"

"No, My King."

Chapter 3 Kill the Thief

As the well-trained and powerful lycan warriors, they could track down any intruder using their sense as they could easily detect and block those people from intruding, or find ways to distract them.

Tobias looked at them and remained silent.

It was mid-autumn, and they were in the middle of a forest. The weather was very cold and dry leaves were scattered all over the ground. However, the air around him grew warmer; it almost felt like spring.

Their king was fuming with rage!

They immediately fell to the ground and shivered in fear. Their king was extraordinary, while other lycan warriors with highest level of magical power could lower the temperature by eight degrees Celsius, their king could raise it by the same amount.

There weren't many things that could anger their king. Even though they were scared, they also felt confused. Joel asked, "What's the matter, My King?"

"I couldn't find my robe," he muttered, scanning the area around him. He then pointed out at the big rock as he said, "I left it right here!"

"My King, it seems someone has stolen your robe," he said, a hint of amusement in his voice.

Tobias glared at him. "This is not a joke, Joel. My robe is missing, and it could be a threat to my security. We need to find out who did this and why."

"Well, I think someone took it while you're swimming."

Fuming by his subordinate's lack of quick thinking, he snapped, "Of course! What else was I doing just now?"

Trying to calm his king's anger, Joel quickly said, "Did you see anyone around, My King?"

"No, I didn't see anyone. This is unacceptable. I want my robe back, and I want whoever took it to be punished."

"Don't worry, My King. I'll summon the guards to search the area and question anyone who was here. We'll find the thief."

Before Joel finished his sentence, a sheaf of cloth was thrown to his face and Tobias said, "Go quickly and find out where this cloth came from. You'd better kill yourself if you can't find the answer in three hours!"

"Yes, My King!" Joel hastily said. He jumped up and disappeared with the cloth.

The other guards were furtively relieved to see that their king had gone back to being normal.

Tobias quickly gathered a group of guards and commanded, "Go and find the girl quickly! She was the one stealing my robe. And make sure you search every inch of this place. I want my robe back and get rid of the girl as soon as you see her," Tobias said firmly with a hint of frustration in his voice.

They were shocked and looked at each other. Their king had always obsessed with hygiene and cleanness, and he would never pass his used belongings on to others. How could that thief possibly get his robe?

Another guard ventured to ask, "My King, may I know whether it is a woman or a girl?"

Tobias replied, "I don't care if it's a woman or a girl, just kill the thief!"

The guards had many questions in their minds, but none dared to ask any further. They immediately started the search after accepting this mission.

They fanned out across the entire area around the lake, searching for any trace of the missing robe. They asked everyone who was in the vicinity if they had seen anything, but none had any information. But despite their efforts, they found no trace of the thief.

"Forgive me, My King. We couldn't find any leads." As one of the guards reported back to Tobias, his tone suggested that he was sorry for what he had to report.

"This is ridiculous. How can the girl with my most treasured robe just disappear into thin air? Keep searching. We have to find it."

"Yes, My King. We'll keep looking."

They searched for an hour, but they still couldn't find the missing robe. Tobias was getting frustrated and angry. He couldn't help but feel a deep sense of loss. The robe was not just a piece of clothing to him, but a symbol of his family's history and legacy of the hereditary lycan kingdom.

Tobias muttered to himself, "I can't believe it's gone. It's more than just a silly robe; it's a matter of value. My most treasured robe, the one that has been in my family for generations. Who would steal something like that? And why?"

As they searched for the missing robe, Tobias couldn't help but feel a sense of dread. He knew that if the thief was caught, she would face severe punishment. But he couldn't let his prized possession go without a fight.

"We have to keep looking. We won't rest until we find it. And when we do, I'll make sure the thief is brought to justice," Tobias said.

"My King, we've searched everywhere. Maybe we should call off the search for now and resume tomorrow."

Tobias snapped, "No, we can't stop! Tonight is the only chance we have to find it; if not, the thief will have gone too far. Keep looking!"

When midnight came, Tobias and the others had already carefully searched the valley, but they couldn't find anything. They had no hint of the girl's scent; even if they had, they could have got help from their enhanced sense of smell.

The lycan king stood in the darkness under the moon as the wind blew above him. The girl had just left less than an hour ago and must still be close, because she had no inner strength. Even if she could run extremely fast, she would never be able to run more than 15 miles away. None can beat the fugitive search skills of his guards, so they're sure to find the poor girl!

None had ever seen his true appearance before, and those who did were usually dead!

Moreover, not only had the bad girl saw at his true appearance, she had also seen him naked!

Tobias couldn't shake the feeling that he was missing something important, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it. Little did he know that the thief was closer than he ever could have imagined.
