The evening sun was down with redish moon active in its bight of light, Mariana sat while staring into an empty space off from the window. Just a little few poles that lies ahead of the gardern a from the window. The garden seemed green and alive yet her glimpse over it yields no postive impression; as if there isn't life in it. Just because, She was so lost in her thoughts and beclouded with old memories of she and Alex. Her state, is as if she lies beyond this present world, and at that moment she felt excited.

The euphoria felt could be rated higher than ever experienced after the departure of Alex.

Tall, energetic, handsome with gentleness were the features of Alex. Alex happened to be Mariana's first and true love. She has lovely wished the rest of her life ends in company of her new love. They dated and were in relationship close to five years. The experiences they had over the years, were far beyond the four letter words of love.

She felt like she was bonded to him and him to her.

Still lost in her world of imagination, she didn't hear when the door of the room was opened nor did she hear the footsteps of the duo that faced her now. Facing her Mom and younger sister, Mom told her that she needed to come out of her thoughts and leave the past behind me. My younger sister, who now looked like an elder sister to me now, crutched down to where Mariana was seated and squatted down before raising her head to look at her .

Taking a deep breath, she heard Choice saying, "Big Sis,you know that all this pain, grieving ,and sorrowing won't bring your Alex back to life,you really need to face the future. You and I know perfectly well that Alex always wants the best for you and will not like to see you in this condition. I Know you love him dearly but there is nothing either you or anyone else can do about it,so I am begging you for the sake of Alex and your family just let this go and move ahead with your life".

As much as I knew that they were not far from the truth, I just couldn't understand why my mind couldn't accept the fact that he's gone. Something kept screaming in my head, liar! they are all lying, he's alive,how could he leave me without saying goodbye, but I kept trying to convince myself that all that was my wild imagination and nothing else and I needed to get over this.

After deciding this in my head,I looked up to my sis and mom and told them that I'm ready to give up the pain and I will try my best to get over Alex. But I quickly reminded them that I wasn't making any promises. I could see the happiness glittering from my mom's eyes as I just shared my head and headed to the bathroom. Almost getting to the bathroom door I heard my mom saying, not so fast darling, Cole is coming to take you out for an outing, so you need to freshen up and get yourself into this dress and prepare to head out.

Mariana couldn't help but chuckle as she took the dress from her mom and placed it in the bed while changing from her tile slippers into my bathroom slippers to get into the bathroom. She fastened her footsteps as she just wanted to be away from her mom. She got into the bathroom and closed the door behind me. When she thought that she had escaped from her mom, she heard her calling out to her from my bathroom to be fast, she could only yell back by replying to a Yes Mom while taking a dip in the bathtub.

Away from Beth's mansion, Cole was seen humming joyfully.

Its face was full of joy, passers-by couldn't help but look at his direction as his joy was obvious and could be said that he won a lottery.

He entered into his Royce rolls and zoomed off to the Beth's mansion to pick up Marina for an outing.

He was the only one that knew the reason behind the uncelebrated happiness.

When Cole reached his destination, which was Beth's mansion, he stayed in the car to dress himself up a little before going for the door.

He rang the bell and Choice came to answer the door. Cole was welcomed warmly into the house and given a seat to settle in while she went up to let Mariana know that Cole was there.

Mrs. Beth ordered the housekeeper to serve Cole while he waited for Mariana but he opted for water only which was given to him.

Mrs.Beth also went up to attend to her daughter.

When she got to Mariana's room she realized that Mariana was still in the bath and decided to speak to her from the bedroom.

"Mariana, I hope you aren't taking this outing to heart. Cole suggested that you should hang out more to help you heal and also face the reality and we thought it was a good idea and decided that you should go out and have fun.

You've been indoors for over a year now and it's really killing you inside even Alex's family have picked up their broken pieces and moved on with their lives, so you shouldn't keep hurting yourself, we want you to live a better life and you should know I and your sister will always be there for you baby"

Mariana told her mom that she understands them and she is willing to do her best to put the past behind her.

Okay baby, hurry up and come out here, Cole has been waiting for you and hasten up.

Yes Mrs Beth I'll be out there in a jiffy, Mariana replied and they all laughed. Choice and her mom left her to prepare her clothings and jewelry for her to wear.

After a while, Mariana was out of the bathroom and went into the bedroom to dress up. She was shocked to see the jewelry that was arranged for her to wear. She wondered if she was going on an outing or exhibition.

What's up with all this jewelry ? I'm going to an exhibition and you guys aren't letting me Know?

Gosh..who goes on an outing with this kind of jewelry ? She asked her mom and Choice.

Beth and Choice tried convincing her to wear the jewelry but she accepted.

After all the arguments and disagreement, they let her have her way.

Choice and her mom led her out of the room after she was dressed up and led her towards the living room to meet Cole.

Cole beamed with a smile and complemented Mariana's dress and beauty as she walked down the stairs in Grand style.

Mariana's eyes flickered with a hint of sadness as she remembered how Alex usually came to pick her up for outings and movies.

She reached the living room and placed her hands in Cole's hand who was courteous like a prince waiting for his princess.

They went out through the door as they laughed while Mariana tried to put up a smile on their way out at a joke cracked by Cole.

They entered the car and zoomed off.

Cole, on Seeing the Mariana, the woman he has always dreamed and desired sitting beautifully and all dolled up in front of him, he couldn't help staring at the angel in front of him and he kept praising himself for being smart as he chuckled.

Cole kept looking into her beautiful face,as his eyes swept through her face to her plum pinkish lips that were wet and looked like it was begging for a kiss. Cole didn't stop himself when he beheld the sight of her boobs that were neither small nor big. He subconsciously swallowed a lump of saliva. He only came back to reality when Mariana asked why he chuckled and he told her that it was because he never believed that a day like this will come when both of them will hangout together.

Seeing Mariana Shaking her head, Cole asked her why she did that and she pleaded with him not to be offended and we went out together. Cole knew that whatever made her to sigh was because of Alex and that also saddened him, since he couldn't keep to his promise to Alex to always make sure that Mariana is happy no matter what and at all cost.

They drove silently to the starlight cinema to see movies.

When they got to the cinema, they parked their cars and went to join the queue to get popcorn and our movie tickets.

After getting popcorn and tickets we went into the theater and waited for the movie to begin.

At exactly 3pm, the light in the theater was turned off and the spotlight on the stage was left on. The only source of light in the darkened theater was the light from the projector and spotlight on the stage which everyone was watching from.

We settled the a movie titled Pride and Prejudice which is written by Jane Austen.

After the movie came to an end Mariana and Cole visited the park for sight seeing.

Pine Grove Park is one of the best Patrick's for sight seeing as the environment is always bustling with live. The place has this natural air that gives people some kind of peace. Cole thought that this place was the best place for Mariana. He took Mariana to the sitting area where older people were there.

While they were seated there, passers-by seemed to get attracted to them and mistook them as lovers. They also complimented their beauty and wished to have a beautiful couple like them.

Meanwhile, Cole was happy about what he heard while Mariana was sad about that.

After the hangout, Cole took Mariana back to Beth's mansion.

In Beth's mansion, Beth and Choice were seen setting the table for dinner.

They were discussing the possible outcome of Mariana's hangout.

Their chatting was interrupted by a loud screech which came from outside. Choice eagerly rushed to the door to see who came back.

She saw Mariana coming out of Cole's Lamborghini trunk and walked towards the door. Before Mariana could even get a chance to press the bell the door was swung open by Choice.

Mariana walked into the house with a gloomy face as she walked past her mom and sister and made her way up to her bedroom.

Choice and Beth exchanged glances as they were surprised at her behavior and wondered what must have happened during the hangout. Choice quickly headed to Mariana's room to enquire about what happened at the outing to make her have such behavior and also bring her down for dinner.

Choice went into Mariana's room and saw her sitting beside in front of the mirror, sobbing softly.

Choice comforted her and led her to the dinning room for dinner.

Beth was found sitted on the dining waiting for them to arrive. When Choice and Mariana had taken their seat they said their prayers and began eating.

The atmosphere in the dining table was so glomming and quiet as only the sound that could be heard were the clink and clattering of metallic utensils coming from the table. They all picked at their food and ate slowly and without much appetite, Mariana's sadness was evident in her eyes.

After a long dinner, Beth asked the housekeeper to clear up the dining room. She turned and asked Mariana how her outing went and why she came back sadder than how she left. Mariana who have been staring at her phone lifted up her eyes and tried responding to her mom but tears blinded her. She sobbed while her mom and Choice comforted her.

When she regained composure of herself, she told them how interesting the outing went and how everything was okay but her mom wasn't convinced and asked her why she came back home sad if everything was okay.

"Mariana, I want you to understand that we are trying to help you and we want you to get out of this depression and face the reality. How could you say the outing went well when you came back home sadder than you left" her mom probed her.

Mariana explained that everything went well. "It's just that a lot of things were so similar to the memories that I and Alex had and I couldn't help but be reminded of him and that was what brought about the sad and gloomy personality you saw."

Beth promised to support her and also help her throughout the healing process. She also advised her to try to put behind the memories of Alex and start a new life afresh as those memories won't help her but continue to trigger the depression and hurt.

They all bid each other a goodnight and went into their various rooms to take a night rest.

Simultaneously, while all those were taking place at the Beth's mansion. Cole went to a bar after dropping Mariana at home. Anyone could see how tipsy he was but he still called a waiter and ordered for more bottles of alcohol as he emptied the content down his throat. He was trying had to divert his mind from thinking about Mariana but subconsciously, he kept on thinking about her. He wondered how she was fairing and coping with the death of her boyfriend. He couldn't believe that even after Alex death that the love Mariana had for Alex would be so strong and unwavering. He could only see the true meaning of the vows, till death do us part. But, since they were not married he wondered what kind of vows kept them this far.

But now that Alex isn't alive anymore he couldn't help but be selfish.

"How could she not see! How could she be ignoring his feelings ! He screamed as he threw the glass into an empty corner of the bar.

Hearing the sound of a shattered glass, everything stood still as everyone turned towards his direction. At this venture, you could hear some distant murmurings among the crowd as some people were pitying him while some were cursing him but Cole didn't seem to mind any of those as kept on wallowing in his pitiful and sorrowful world.

Seeing that he was drunk or should we say emotionally depressed they all hissed and left him behind to wallow in his sorrows.

Some group of hefty men could be seen rushing towards Cole. They bowed their heads and apologized for being late but Cole didn't give them a reply which only gave them cold feets.

He stood you and dragged his drunken body out of the bar. His chauffeur rushed to the car and opened the door for him to enter. He went into the car, started the engine and zoomed off with the other men following behind them in another vechicle.

Cole was taken to Parker's mansion.

When his parents saw his drunken state they asked his PA to arrange a lady that will spend the night with him.

Their plan was to get Come to be intimate with the lady as they were afraid that their son was a gay as he had never been seen with a lady before.

Lucas quickly found a lady online and gave her the address to come.

Mia was so happy to win this jackpot and she was determined to make the best Opportunity out of this chance.

The bolt man arrived and took her to the mansion.

Meanwhile, Lucas has been waiting outside to take her to the house.

Lucas led Mia into the mansion where she met Cole's parents who promised to pay her a huge son of money if she did her job well.

Mia was beaming with happiness as she thought of the huge sum of money she was about to make in one night.

Her greed made her start thinking of other ways in which she could extort money from the Parker's family.

Though, her thoughts were being interrupted by Lucas who called out to her and showed her Cole's room and left after switching on the lights in the room.

The room was so large and cozy that it made Mia bewildered by the sight of the room.

The bedroom designs, beddings and everything were just perfect. What more can she ask of Mia?

She hurried towards the bed and lay on the bed feeling its warmth, comfort and coziness. While she was bouncing in the bed she hit a muscular and hard object, turning herself around, she saw Cole laying drunk on the bed fully dressed.

Seeing that the man was drunk she decided to cease that Opportunity and do her job.

Meanwhile, the effect from the alcohol has started to wear off from Cole. He could Perceive the fragrance near him but he wondered who it was since he didn't use such fragrance.

A hand slipped into his pants as he quickly grabbed those hands and shook them off him but Mia persisted.

Being under the influence of alcohol he grabbed Mia and put him under him and had his way.

Though Cole was rough and hard on her, Mia couldn't help but think less as she had this victory smirk on her face.

When she tried leaving the room she discovered that the door had been locked from outside. So, she went back to join Cole in bed.

Cole woke up early in the morning to find a stranger lying nude with only a different over her body to cover her nakedness. He tried remembering what happened the previous night and when he remembered some split part of the memories of the night he got angry and sent for his PA.

Who allowed this bitch into my bed ? He thundered !

Lucas explained how his parents came up with the idea that led to him having Mia on his bed.

Clean her up then! He commanded.

Boss, we can't do that either as your parents will get to Know about that.

Cole was getting frustrated and angry.

He was on the verge of losing his temper when an idea popped up in his head. He called Lucas and told him to arrange for the lady to leave the city. Whom all these deliberations were taking place on behalf of Mia, she was sleeping soundly like a princess.

Cole took his bath and left for work. He ordered for some clothes to be sent to Mia.

Mia was woken up by the ringing sound of her phone. She answers the call and quickly rushes to take her bath and leave Parker's mansion. Before she came out of the bathroom her clothes have arrived, so she just wore them and headed out of the house. She hurried down the stairs, luckily she didn't find the Parker's couples, so she hurried out of the house. She could be seen trying to book a bolt while walking out of the paths.

A car stopped beside her and ordered her to get in.

She was taken back to her home. While Mia was smiling triumphantly, she didn't Know that a lot were yet to change in her life within a space of two to four hours

Mia had just finished having her breakfast and was watching some movies when a series of calls entered her phone.

After answering the calls she stood agape. She couldn't understand what was going on.

She wasn't owing her landlord so, she wondered why he wanted her to pack out of his house. She was still contemplating on how to handle those calls when another call came in.

Mia answered the call as well with a shocked expression written all over her face.

She quickly dressed up and went to Parker's company.

Ofcourse, Lucas was there to show her the way as usual. He led her into a room which looked like a sitting room.

Cole was seated across with his legs crossed over each other. He gave this domineering aura that intimidated Mia.

Mia sat across from him and waited for Cole to tell her why he called her here.

Come passed some documents to her and asked her to sign it.

These documents contained property documents, Bank transfers statements and a whole lot but Mia wasn't happy to leave LA but she had no choice but to sign those documents and leave the city for her good.

Hastily, she signed the documents and made to leave the room but Cole told her to get prepared as Lucas will see her off at the airport tomorrow. And she shouldn't bother about parking and the flights as everything was put in place. She left the company in a dampened spirit.

Cole was also satisfy with himself as he did not have to bother about marrying her as that was what his parents wanted
