Wyatt
I was getting impatient as I waited in line for the guy's bathroom at the night club, I was in. I feel like I have been waiting for hours when it has only been ten minutes. I didn't even want to come here tonight, but my friends made me. It wasn't my thing. People go clubbing to dance, drink and hook-up. All of that wasn't me.
Yes, I love sex as much as anyone else, but I don't do one-night stands. I never have, and I never will. It doesn't appeal to me. I prefer getting to know someone, connecting with them before jumping into bed with them. I don't dance, or more like I can't dance, I was terrible. And as for the drinking? I don't mind drinking, but not often, and I am a lightweight when it comes to drinking. I know all of that makes me sound boring, but I am not. I just enjoy other things in life. I don't judge people for what they do.
The line moved up, but not by much. I sighed, taking my phone out to occupy myself as I waited. Suddenly something out the corner of my eyes caught my attention. There was a woman with purple hair and wearing a little black dress. It was tight and clung to her. She was probably one of the most beautiful women I have seen. I swallowed hard, and I couldn't take my eyes away from her.
"Hey handsome," She said, winking at me as she walked by me.
I turned my head, watching after her. I soon realise I was not the only one. Oh wow! She was something else. I gave myself a shake, pulling my eyes away from her. Women don't usually steal my attention in the way she did. Yes, I notice beautiful women like everyone else, but not like the way I just did.
I pushed the beautiful stranger to the back of my mind as the line finally started moving quicker. Thank God. I only had an hour left before this place closed, and I could go home. I was exhausted. I have had a busy week with work. All I wanted to do was sleep for the next two days on my days off. I got into the bathroom, doing what I needed and washing my hands before heading back out.
I swerved my way through the crowd of people to get back to my friends. When I left them, there were, now there was only two.
"Where is Toby?" I laughed.
"He left with some blonde, someone that works with him, or something," Nick said.
I chuckled and shook my head. Toby was my best friend, a pain in my ass at times, and a male whore. He was a proud one, though. I sat back at our table, and soon Nick was disappearing. Someone has caught his eye. Then there was two, me and Luke. He was married, so he wasn't looking for a random hook-up. He is the only out of us all that is married.
"No one caught your eye?" He asked.
"Nope, you know me, the one-night stand thing isn't for me," I laughed.
"I know," He said, smiling.
He was the only one that didn't get onto me about all of this. He understood where I was coming from. He has been married for three years but been together for eight years.
"One more drink and then we can head?" Luke said.
I nodded, and he headed to the bar to get us a drink since it was his round. I looked around, smiling as I watch everyone having fun. I was quick to stop looking around when I spotted a familiar figure-the woman with the purple hair. She was dancing with a couple of her friends, all eyes on her. I swallowed hard and found myself studying her closely. She had the most luscious curves. She was smiling widely and laughing as she danced. Wow! That smile could kill. I bet she has broken a lot of hearts in her time. She must have felt my eyes burning into her because her eyes diverted to me.
I watch the smile on her lip, turn to a smirk. She waves at me as she dances. I wave back at her, awkwardly. I am not used to women like her. I wasn't some rich, handsome, confident millionaire. I was just your average guy. I quickly turned away from here. I couldn't take her looking at me any longer. I couldn't handle watching her anymore. I know to her I probably come across as rude. I looked back up, but she was gone. I looked around, but I couldn't see her. Where did she go?
"Who you looking for?" I hear a female voice giggle from next to me.
I turned and was met with the beautiful stranger once again.
"Um, no one," I said, rubbing the back of my neck.
"I think you are lying; you were looking for me," She said confidently.
"And what makes you think that?" I said, raising my brow at her.
"I see the way you look at me," She said.
"Yet, you were the one that came to me, why was that?" I asked.
"Because you didn't come to me," She said, "Someone had to make the first move," She added.
The first move? Is she trying to tell me that she is attracted to me? I don't believe that somehow.
"Yes, because I am not what you want," I said.
"And what is it you think I want?" She asked.
"Fun, a one-stand, am I right?" I asked, and she nodded, "I am not your guy for that. I don't do one-night stands," I added.
She seemed a little taken back when I said that. I guess she believes that every guy is the same, and only wants sex? That isn't true at all.
"Who doesn't have one-night stands?" She asked, "They are fun. You have hot sex without the commitment, and you don't need to see the person again," She added.
I am assuming that she doesn't do relationships then, or dating?
"I don't, I would rather get to know someone before I jump into bed with them," I said.
"Hmm, doesn't that get boring?" She asked, tilting her head to the side.
"I could ask you the same thing about one-night stands," I said.
"What is the point of having more than sex? Because in the end, you just get hurt," She said, "We could keep debating, or you could tell me what you truly and we can get out of here," She added.
I don't think I have met someone as straightforward as she is right now. I feel she has been burned in the past, which is why she seems to have her walls up.
I stood, stepping into her. There was only a small space between us, but she closed it.
"I am sorry that isn't going to happen," I said, "You are beautiful, you really are, but that isn't who I am," I added.
Yes, I was attracted to her, but I was not going to change my ways because of that. I was raised better than that. My parents raised me to respect women and treat them good.
"Are you being serious?" She asked, surprised.
I don't think she is familiar with rejection. I have a feeling she had never been rejected in her life.
"I am, yes," I said.
"Maybe it is time you try something new," She smirked, resting her hand on my chest.
I know she was trying to be seductive, and it is not easy for me not to fall for it.
"I will make you a deal, you let me take you on a date, and we can go from there," I said, reaching in, and tucking her hair behind her ear.
"I don't date," She said, firmly.
"And I don't do one-night stands," I said.
I don't think she knew what to do or say after that. She stood there, looking at me. I chuckled and reached into my pocket. I pulled my wallet out and took a card out of it.
"If you change your mind, give me a call, gorgeous," I said, handing it to her.
She took it but still wasn't saying anything. I kissed her cheek and walked away. I then realised I didn't get her name. I turned back around to ask her, but she was gone again.
It seems like I will not ever know her name because my gut tells me I wouldn't be hearing from her. I sighed, walking away. A part of me regretted walking away from her, but it was the right thing to do.
I will keep telling myself that, anyway.
Hazel-Rose
I crawled my way out of the strangers' bed that I was currently in. I can't even remember his name. I met him at the club, we danced, had a few drinks, and then one thing led to another, and we ended up back at his. I prefer it that. If I am somewhere else, I can leave when I feel like it, but I need to make sure they go if they are at mine. I checked the time it was six a.m.
I crept around, gathering my clothes and my things before heading out of his room. I pulled my clothes on as I went. I would call a cab when I get outside. I don't want to wake him, whoever he is. I am sure his name was something like Bryce, Bryan, Barry...I don't know something beginning with B anyway. He was not bad in bed, but not the best either. Hey, you can't win them all.
I headed out of his apartment and out to the street. I wasn't sure where I was. I checked online, and thankfully I got a location. I called a cab to come to get me. I wanted home to my bed but will need to shower first. I looked through my bag for my purse and finally found it, but something else caught my eye-the card the stranger gave me in the club.
I took it out, looking at it because I didn't last night. I wonder what his name was. Hmm, Wyatt, it would seem. I think I was too surprised that he rejected me, that was new for me. I don't believe a man has ever rejected me. Then again, I don't think I have ever met a man that doesn't do one-night stands. What is that about?
I do have to be honest, because of how he acted, he intrigued me. I have met many men in my life, but none quite like him. He wasn't even my type, well not my typical type. I prefer bad boys with dark hair, tattoos and who are assholes. They are always more fun. But Wyatt, yes, he was handsome, but he had the sort of geeky look around him too. I think it was the glasses and the way he spoke. He was still cute non the less.
I may give him a text later. I am used to getting what I want, and because he didn't give in to me like everyone else, it just makes me more determined. There is no chance I am going on a date with him. I don't do date, relationships or anything alike. It is a waste of time, in my opinion. What is the point of putting all that effort into one person, into a relationship, it always ends? The outcome is always hurt of some kind. I learned a long time ago, don't trust anyone. I learnt that the hard way, and I will not put myself back in that position ever again, for anyone.
I dropped the card back into the bag as my cab pulled up. I got in and told him where I was going.
"Good night?" He laughed.
"Yes," I giggled.
It was obvious what I was up to last night. My hair was a mess. My make-up probably was too. I had a dress on, and my shoes in my hand. I don't care, though. I had fun, and that is all that matters.
All I wanted now was to sleep. The ride back to mine wasn't too long. I paid the driver, rushing inside. I stripped down, took my make-up off, and had a quick shower. Yay bed! I love my bed, and I would stay in it all day, every day if I didn't have to adult and work. Adulting sucks sometimes.
I grabbed my phone, and Wyatt's card and put his number into my phone. Hmm, I wonder if it is too early to text him? I know his name; it is only fair that he knows mine also. No, I should wait until later. I would want to kill someone if they texted me this early. Sleep first, annoy the sweet stranger later. Yes, that sounds like a better plan.
I sat my phone aside and got myself settled down. I do not have anything to do today, so no alarm needed. And no alarm is always a good thing.

I groaned as I woke, the sun was right in my eyes, and I may have had a slight headache. I did feel less tired, though. I reached for my phone to check the time. Midday! I didn't think I would have slept that long, but I did need it. I smirked to myself. It was time for my plan. I opened a text to Wyatt.
Hey, Mr No one-night stands ha-ha.
I kept it simple and obvious, well unless he gave his card to someone other women and told her the same thing. He may have done, who knows. But, surely if not, he will know it is me. I waited, wondering how long he will wait to reply if he replies, anyway.
Wyatt soon answered my question because he texts back only moments later.
Hey, pretty lady with the purple hair ha-ha. I am surprised to hear from you. I thought you would have tossed my card in the trash the moment I was out of sight X
Is that how he has been referring to me? The one with the purple hair. Maybe I should tell him my name.
Hazel-Rose: It is Hazel-Rose, most call me just Hazel, or the weird few call me HR! Yes, I know it is a terrible nickname lol. Why did you think I would have tossed it in the trash? X
Probably something to do with because I told him I don't date.
Wyatt: Hazel-Rose that is a beautiful name. I think I will call you that. And I agree HR is a terrible nickname lol. You and I want very different things, and that is why I thought you tossed it, X.
He seemed sweet, that was for sure, but sometimes looks can be deceiving. He may be a nice guy, but he may not be. But, for the moment, I will continue to chat with him.
Hazel-Rose: Thank you. I am glad you agree with me, ha-ha. How was the rest of your night? X
He didn't really seem like he was too eager last night about being out.
Wyatt: Yeah, it was OK. What about you? Did you get what you were looking for? X
I guess that is his polite way of asking me if I got laid.
Hazel-Rose: I did, yes. You see I had to find someone else because the first guy I hit on rejected me š X
I wonder how he will respond to that.
Wyatt: Hmm, what an idiot he must have been! š then again, maybe he was just respectful and wanted to give you more than that X
I let out a small chuckle when I read his reply. At least he was playing along.
Hazel-Rose: Yes, he was an idiot š because he missed out on the best night of his life. His loss, though lol. As I told him last, you give more, you get hurt easier, and people take more than they should X
I will give myself one thing. I am always honest. I don't do bullshit! It gets you nowhere.
Wyatt: Oh, I am sure he did, I don't doubt it for a second. It doesn't always need to be that way. If you are with the right person, that shouldn't happen X
The right person? I assume he is the type that believes in the one, in souls mates, and all that crap? Not me, it is all bullshit!
Hazel-Rose: It always happens! It is life! X
He took a little longer to reply to this one than the others, but he did.
Wyatt: I think you should come and meet me for coffee? If it makes you feel better, we will call it coffee with a friend X
Hmm, coffee, I don't know. I suppose it could be worse. He could be asking me to dinner. I am sure a coffee won't do harm, right? Plus, it would give me to time to work my charm on him.
Hazel-Rose: I can do coffee. Meet me at Destiny coffee house in an hour X
Wyatt: OK. See you then, Miss Hazel-Rose. Looking forward to it X
Hazel-Rose: Yes, see you soon, Wyatt X
The conversation got left at that. I got out of my bed and made a start to get myself ready. It is only coffee, what can go wrong?
Wyatt
I was waiting outside of the coffee place for Hazel-Rose. I hope she doesn't see me and turn away, especially since she was drinking when we met. We all know how drink can change the way someone looks. I had got here early, but she was due to arrive any minute if she doesn't change her mind. I was a little anxious. I am not used to a woman as beautiful as her wanting my attention.
I watch at the time goes past the time she said we were to meet. A couple of minutes turned to ten. I grabbed my phone, seeing if I had heard from her.
"Hey Mr-no-one-nights," I hear, followed by a giggle.
I looked up, smiling when I see her come walking towards me. She was in jeans and a hoodie but still looked as good as she did in the dress she had on last night.
"Hello, HR," I chuckled.
"I thought we agreed that was a terrible nickname?" She spoke.
"And, Mr-no-one-nights is a great nickname," I laughed.
Hazel-Rose rolled her eyes at me and laughed. I shrugged.
"Come on, silly man, I need coffee," She said, grabbing my arm and dragging me into the coffee shop.
We found a seat next to the window and placed our orders. Hazel-Rose rested back on the chair, looking straight at me.
"Where are your glasses?" She asked.
"At home, I have my contacts in today," I said.
"Why? I like your glasses," She pouted.
"I will remember that for next time," I chuckle.
"You do that," She said smirking at me, "So, I am going to get straight too, what do I need to do to get you in my bed?" She added.
She got straight to the point. I will give her that. I don't think I have come across a woman before who just comes out and says what she is thinking, especially something like what Hazel-Rose just asked.
"I told you, a date," I said.
"Hmm, I don't know how I feel about that," She said, tapping her fingers on her chin, "Doesn't this class as a date?" She added.
"Nice try, but no," I laughed.
She rolled her eyes at me again. Yes, she was definitely used to getting what and who she wants all the time. Hopefully, this would be different, making it more interesting for her rather than getting things easily. It will be a challenge for her.
"You are no fun, Wyatt," She pouted.
"Oh, I am much fun, once you get to know me," I replied confidently.
My words seem to intrigue her. She sat up, resting her elbows on the table and looked me firmly in the eyes.
"Please, do tell me more," She said, "What kind of fun are you talking?" She added.
"Nope! You will need to give me a chance, and find out for yourself," I said.
Hazel-Rose didn't seem too impressed with that idea. It was the only way she was going to get what she wants. It was my turn to sit back and look slightly smug. I could see her racking her brain, thinking about what to say next. She didn't have a chance, though because our orders came. We thanked the server, and they headed off.
"One date?" She asked.
"That will be a good start," I said.
"A good start? What does that mean?" She groaned.
I leant forward, my faces only inches from her. Damn, she smelt good. She smells of strawberry and something else I can't put my finger on. And those damn eyes, I could get lost in them easily. I snapped myself out of it.
"Make it three dates, and at the end of the third, you will get what you want," I said.
"Three? Come on that is not fair," She said, "How about two?" She added, batting her lashes at me.
It was tempting. She was very tempting. I will not deny that there is a part of me that wants to reach in and kiss her right now, but I can't. I don't think I have ever been this instantly attracted to someone the way I am to her. It was not easy telling her no.
"Three or the deal is off," I shrugged.
"You are going to be a pain in my ass, Wyatt," She laughed.
"Do we have a deal, gorgeous?" I asked, offering her my hand.
Hazel-Rose took my hand, and a sexy smirk crept up on her lips.
"Yes, but I can tell you right now, baby boy, you would survive three dates," She said confidently, "I will make you want me that bad, we may not even make it through our first date without us getting naked," She added.
She had a seductive look in her eyes as she spoke every word to me. I swallowed hard, licking my lips. Hazel-Rose mirrored me, licking her lips too.
"You are breaking right now," She said.
"I am not," I breathed out.
"Yes, you are," She said, "You can say as you please, but your body language gives you away. You want me, badly," She added.
She was right, I was beginning to break, and she hasn't even done much except speak a few words to me.
Get a grip of yourself, Wyatt!
I gave myself a shake, and pulled back, putting a distance between us. I had to or I would ultimately be at her mercy, and way too quickly.
"I have not once denied that I want you," I said, "I am just not giving into you like I am sure every other man does," I added.
"Why not? I would give you the best ride of your life," She giggled.
I love how open she is when talking about sex. I know many women don't like talking about these things in public, because they don't want to be judged. But, Hazel-Rose doesn't seem to have any issues with it, and I wish all women felt comfortable enough to do as Hazel-Rose seems too.
"I don't doubt that for a second," I said, "But as I told you, I prefer getting to know someone first before jumping into bed with them. Call me old-fashioned, a hopeless romantic, whichever you please, but that is how I am, and I am not ashamed of it," I added.
"And you shouldn't be ashamed. No one should be ashamed of themselves," She said.
I nodded in agreement. No one should be ashamed of who they are.
"I know I already agreed to three dates, but only if you can promise me one thing?" She asked.
"Which is?" I asked.
"A kiss at the end of the first date," She said.
I acted like I was thinking about it. I wasn't, though, because I knew the answer. I just didn't want to give her my answer straight away. I made her wait for a minute.
"I am sure I can do that," I said.
"Mmm, OK, be prepared to want more once I kiss you," She said.
She was adamant, wasn't she? She doesn't seem like the type to give in. I know the moment she kisses me that I will probably lose my mind, but I have enough power to fight against it. I am not letting her win this one. I want to get to know her before I get to know her body. I would make it worth it for her. I don't screw around, but I have not had any issues with the women I have been with, they all seemed to enjoy what I do to them.
"You aren't going to win this one, beautiful," I said, "But I promise, it will be worth it," I added.
"It better be after you making me wait," She laughed.
"It will, so when do I get our first date?" I asked.
"Tomorrow night?" She suggested.
"That works for me. I will text you the details," I smiled.
I changed the subject because I should probably find out a few more details about her.
"Quick question before we got any further, what age are you?" I ask.
"Twenty-three, you?" She smiled.
"Twenty-nine, turn thirty in a couple of weeks," I said.
"Mmm, an older man, just how I like it," She said, biting her lip.
"I am not that much older than you," I chuckle.
"Maybe not, but still older," She said.
Seven years isn't so bad.
"Yeah, yeah," I said.
Hazel-Rose grinned at me and turned her attention to her coffee. I had a feeling this woman was going to be trouble for me. A whole lot of trouble!
I don't know if I should be excited or scared.
