It can burn you alive-" Alpha Jonas chuckled as he pulled Tamara closer. Tamara and Jonas were fated with each other, yet they couldn't be together because their parents decided to get married. Chapter 1 Broken And Rejected

Tamara POV.

I'm Tamara Morningstar; my parents are the mighty Alpha Franco Morningstar and the common she-wolf, Lolita.

The day I am writing this is one of the most significant in my entire life. So, I'm walking with a combination of urgency and anticipation.

"What intrigues me is who exactly is responsible for the ubiquitous aroma. If I'm lucky, my companion will be a good person." I make a sound as I try to track down my friend by his scent.

Because I am already the strongest in our pack, I am not looking for a strong mate; instead, I seek a loving and caring one.

When I finally got there, I could pinpoint the origin of the enticing aroma and follow it to the park.

"David Halter here. Thank you, Moon Goddess, for the kind and caring partner you've given me. "As I cast my gaze upon David, I mumbled something to myself.

He was right in the middle of everybody. As a result, I was wary of approaching him, but I mustered the courage to initiate a conversation.

"David..." As I stopped in his rear, I yelled.

"Shit!" David swore as he whirled around to look at me. His expression of exasperation as he looked at me was unmistakable.

What's the matter is, I'm your mate," I said softly, too ashamed to speak loudly in front of the pack.

The pack as a whole laughed at my proclamation.

When I look at David, however, I see nothing but disgust and shame, and I have to wonder what on earth he is thinking.

The strongest member of the pack is David's partner.

"Good news, right here, right now, ha ha ha! Whenever there's trouble, or we need to go hunting, we'll take David's mate because he isn't powerful."

"Follow me!" David says something and walks away from the others.

While trailing behind him, I offer my services as a hunter.

Saying to Tamara Morningstar, "David Halter, I have rejected you as my mate!" There was a roar from David.

I was taken aback by the negative response and didn't immediately reply.

Staring blankly at David's angry face, I could do nothing but stare.

If you're kidding, I said, "it's not funny." I still wasn't convinced.

"

This is not a joke. The pack is laughing at me; can't you see that? The truth is that you wouldn't make a good partner. I'm looking for someone soft and sweet to marry, not someone stronger than me." "David yelled!"

"So you don't like me because I'm too powerful for you? Is that what you mean?" I had to wait a moment, but eventually, I was able to ask.

Despite internal anguish, I hardened and composed myself.

A friend, but not a lover; please accept my rejection-a categorical assertion by David.

"Not knowing there would be a problem with having a lot of power, I did nothing with it. When I found out you were my partner, I was overjoyed because I thought we were just friends." I said as I wiped away the tears from my eyes.

"There is indeed a difficulty. You're causing friction in our pack because you're the strongest member by a long shot, "David said.

"Okay, then...

After David Halter turned down Tamara Morningstar as his mate, I accepted his decision. "With my fists balled, I met his gaze. There was no sign of weakness on my part, so I held my head high.

Also, David didn't seem to appreciate my determination. "Why can't you see this? The pack's males had nothing but contempt for you. You won't find a suitable partner in this world." David shouted something that should have everyone looking around.

"Enough! No thanks, having a useless friend like you is embarrassing enough as it is." As I turn and leave, I give him a hard stare.

If I'm pathetic, I'm not worth your time. "David yelled!"

"That's exactly right! There isn't a single person here who deserves me. Having strength is something I will never be embarrassed about. Simply put, that is me to a tee! And I don't think your weakness is my fault. This lone wolf in the pack sure is weak!" To be more precise, I am shouting.

My anger had erupted, and I didn't care if the pack heard me. Witnessing David's shock and subsequent retreat. This is the first time he's seen me get really angry in front of him. Impact To be honest, I've never felt so angry before.

Be careful with your words, Tamara. When the Alpha finally made it to us, he began to cry out in a very loud voice "If your prospective partner turns you down, it's not the end of the world. Just because one pack doesn't accept you doesn't mean you have to grow to hate them all "Keeping talking, he went on to say something else.

"For me personally, this is not the end of the world. Truth be told, I'm happy that a weakling mate was the one who first turned me down. Neither he nor this group is due to me." I proclaimed, my attention focused on the others.

"You!"

"That's right, I am. I won't be a sheep, Tamara Morningstar. Starting today, I will have zero ties to any of you!" In a cocky manner, I proclaimed, holding my head high.

I eagerly awaited word from our team's Alpha. My back was to them, so I made a hasty exit.

I could make out the mutterings of the previous visitors, but I didn't linger.

.....

"You've messed up big time, Tamara. You seem to have reignited your anger. How are you going to tell your mother that you've turned rogue?" As I walked back home, I murmured.

Although David's rejection was heartbreaking, it wasn't what I was concerned about... I knew my mom was upset with me for making this choice.

While I fully expected my mother, Lolita, to explode in anger, the opposite happened.

"You picked the best option. Please don't associate yourself with such a helpless creature. To a lesser extent, you did the right thing by breaking away from the herd."

To my mother I said, "Thank you, mom, and I'm sorry if I didn't consult you on my decision," before giving her a bear hug.

"Accumulate your possessions. As soon as we can, we're leaving this place."

The question "Where are we going?" I asked as I pulled away from my mom.

She announces, "Let's go to the Phantom pack, where I have a friend."

Incredulous, I turn to my mother. When it comes to packs, Phantom City has the most decisive leader on the whole continent. I don't buy that their Alpha is young and good-looking, as they claim.

I'm the strongest in the house!" This is what I finally yelled.

Chapter 2 New Life

Tamara's Point of View

As I looked ahead, I paused to take a deep breath. Today, we travel to the enigmatic Phantom City.

To be honest, our abrupt departure caught me off guard.

My mother quickly sold off all of our furniture and household goods. Unfortunately, I won't even have time to say goodbye to my friends.

"What's the matter, Mom? Is the pack pursuing us because of me?" I finally gave up and asked my mother about it.

"Hunt? Who will go searching for us? You have the most firepower among the group."

When I asked my mother a question, she laughed as if I had asked a ridiculous question.

"Then why do we leave so quickly?" you might ask after hearing what happened. I frowned as I heard my mother respond.

My mother sighed and gave me the strangest look. What exactly is my mother up to these days? If I recall correctly, I haven't seen her blush in quite some time.

"I have some exciting news to share with you... But don't be so quick to condemn me."

"I'm not sure I can take what you're going to say, Mom. As I look at my mother for the first time, I say with wide eyes.

"You already know how much I adore your father and how much I will never forget him. However, time passes..."

"Please, mother, stop. I'm not surprised by what's going on here." I sighed and asserted myself with the most profound expression I could muster.

'If you don't like it, Tamara-'

When I saw my mother's disappointed expression, I decided to call it quits on my prank.

I consoled her by placing my hand on her shoulder and telling her, "If you're happy, Mom, I'm happy... If you find someone who can make you happy and stick by your side as you grow older, I promise I will be the happiest kid on the planet."

I cried when my mother smacked me on the arm "Oh, you cunning little twerp! I was afraid you wouldn't let me date new people." My mother remarked with a broad smile.

"Are you serious? I'm laughing out loud. I've been advising my mother to resume dating for the past five years." This was the last thing I said.

Alfonzo will adore you, so thank you very much!

I can't help but laugh as I see my mother shivering as she says the man's name. "So, Alfonzo...maybe you can tell me how the two of you met and how your love story began, because I never see you leave our town," I inquire.

My mother began telling me the story of Alfonzo and his wife. We drove right by Phantom City while we were talking.

"Look at this city, Mom! I exclaimed as we approached the heart of town.

"I didn't realize Phantom was this advanced," my mother says as she checks her phone. But now that I'm an adult with the ability to drive, my mother hands me the phone.

"Give your uncle a call; I couldn't tell you where his house is even if I tried."

"This Alfonzo doesn't need to be reminded that we're coming today, but I just wanted to make sure. He must come and get us." I had to remark after driving around the city's outskirts for a while.

When I asked my mother a question, she laughed and said, "What do I think of myself, I ask Tamara. Why are you dropping everything and going to the man's house without informing him? That is unreasonable to expect from an elderly man like me!"

"Mom, I'm just curious. We are city slickers for the time being." I can't help but smile when my mother does something cute.

Someone answers the phone after a few rings.

.

"Hello?"

I couldn't respond right away when I heard the baritone voice on the other end of the line. I was smitten by the masculinity of his voice.

"Hello?!"

Could you please assist me in locating Alfonzo Hale? As I stutter-answered, I felt embarrassed. Mom raised an eyebrow as she listened to what I had to say.

"We expected to see Alfonzo, but he hasn't arrived. Could you please introduce yourself?"

Please introduce yourself: "My name is Tamara Morningstar, and I'm Lolita's daughter."

"Lorenzo, Uncle? Sir, yes! In what ways are things wrong?"

My eyebrows shot up when I heard the thrill on the other end of the line.

The problem is that we don't know our way around this city "With a grin, I said.

"Really? Because my father isn't here right now, could you please let me know where you are and I'll come get you?"

He abruptly cut me off after I informed him of our location.

Despite this, my heart continued to race.

Tamara, please tell me what's wrong with you. You can only hear his voice. not to mention! He is the name of your future stepfather's son!

A motorcycle pulled up in front of our car after ten minutes.

It's got to be Jonas, right? My mother quickly exited the vehicle after making a remark.

Oh, for Christ's sake! I knew he was beautiful, but I had no idea he was this gorgeous.

My heart is in my chest, and I'm terrified of letting go "And what exactly is going on? My feelings for Jonas far outnumber my feelings for David, so who should I choose as my life partner?" I whispered something to the man who had just left to return to his car.

"Later, I'll have to introduce Jonas to Tamara. He'll drop us off at the house before returning to his backpack "My mother started the car and gave me a tour.

Mom, I'm not looking forward to meeting my new brother. Although I don't feel the same way about him as my mother does, the term "brother" still applies to him.

"It's my first time meeting Jonas, but as his father puts it, he's above average! If we're the same age, I'll go to any length to get him."

"I didn't realize you judged people based on their appearance, Mom," her son said. While looking at the car in front of us, I made a remark.

"Don't tell me you're not different?" he teased Tamara.

"My heart is still shattered, so I prefer not to look at any guy," I sneered at my mother.

"I have no doubt that you will find your soulmate among this group. As far as I know, every single member is powerful, so your strength will not be an issue."

"Mom!" My brow furrowed, and I let out a yell.

I wished to avoid discussing my past for the sake of my former pack and mate.

Jonas came to a halt in the two-story house, and my mother quickly followed.

Well, it appears that we have succeeded...please make yourself at home,"

My gaze wanders around the house before settling on my mother. "I'm hoping uncle Alfonzo likes me," I say, smiling.

"Tamara, he already does it. Alfonzo liked you from the moment he saw you. Stop hesitating and go speak with Jonas right now!" My mother makes a remark and exits the vehicle.

Tamara, I have faith in you. Don't hold grudges against him; he'll soon be your brother. Okay?

Chapter 3 Unexpected Attraction

"Tamara, meet Jonas, the oldest son of your uncle Alfonzo, and Jonas, meet my beautiful daughter Tamara,"

"Tamara, nice meeting you..."

When Jonas shook my hand and looked at me so intensely, as if he wanted to eat me, my whole world stopped.

I stutter, "Ah...Nice to meet you," which makes him smile before he lets go of my hand.

"Well, kids, since you already know each other, I hope you get along because we're going to be a family,"

I looked at my mother and smiled, and nodded.

Jonas said with a smirk, "I can promise you, aunt Lolita, that I will be good to Tamara."

Glad, my mother nodded. But I think Jonas's every word means something different.

Jonas says as he gets into the back of the car, "Then let me help you with your things before I have to go to my training."

"Tamara, help Jonas, and I'll just call Alfonzo,"

While my mother was dialing her phone, she had already turned around. So I had to go after Jonas and help him carry our bags.

"So you're here because your partner turned you down?" Jonas asked.

Jonas's question makes me blush because I don't think my mother will tell them why we have to leave our pack.

"Uh-huh, are you sure that's your friend?" Jonas says something and sits on the car's trunk.

I open my eyes wide in shock and say, "How do you feel about me? David is my friend, of course. I mean, ex-mate, "I replied. Even though I was sure I had said it, I made sure my mom didn't hear what we were talking about.

Jonas smiled, and I was surprised when he grabbed me quickly by the waist.

"Then, what is it about you that makes me want to be with you? I'm sure you can sense it too, "Jonas says, and he moves his face toward mine.

"What the heck are you doing? Please let me go, "I stammer, and he takes his hand off my waist.

"Since I saw you, my other form has been making me crazy. So, please forgive me, but I need to check on one thing. If I don't, my wolf will give me trouble, "Jonas whispered something and tightened his hold on my waist.

"What do you mean? What do you need to be sure of?" I didn't understand. I turned to look at my mother to make sure she didn't see what Jonas was doing.

"This," Jonas said in a whisper.

I held on to Jonas' clothes as my eyes grew bigger in shock. I'm still not believing it, but I can feel Jonas' tongue in my mouth.

Do I feel a kiss? Dear Lord! Jonas Hale, who will soon be my brother, just kissed me. Tamara, Please, just push him!

My brain tells me that, but my body doesn't agree. Instead of pushing Jonas, I play with him with my tongue, and it feels good.

I didn't know I had lust until his kiss woke it up in me.

"Alfonzo is on his way here, Tamara,"

Jonas knew to let go of my lip when he heard my mother's voice.

Jonas says as he wipes my lips, "Hmm, Tamara Morningstar, maybe you shouldn't go to the Hale house as my sister."

"You-" I don't know how to answer Jonas's question because I can't lie about how much I want him.

Jonas smiled at me and was carrying two big bags.

Jonas told my mother, "Aunt Lolita, let's wait for my fathers inside the house," and they walked together.

"Tamara, hurry up!"

I was out of breath because of the new problem my new "brother" had caused. I didn't even know how I felt about him.

"No! David Halter is probably my friend. That smell proves it! I'm not that stupid to make a mistake!" I spoke in a whisper as I carried two big boxes into the house.

"What do you think of the house, Tamara? You like it?" My mom asked me.

A woman has never touched the Hale family home. The walls have lost color, and the furniture shows that a man lives there.

"Mom, since there are no girls in this house, it makes sense that the inside looks like this," I said with a laugh.

"You're right. Maybe Alfonzo and his son won't mind if I change a few things around here."

When I saw Jonas coming down the stairs, I didn't answer. I secretly sigh. How can Jacob's gift stop my whole world? Still, he wore rough jeans and a white shirt that fit him well.

"Aunt Lolita, your room is ready if you want to rest first. The master bedroom is at the end of the left side of the house. And your room is on the other side, Tamara, "Jonas told me as he walked up to me and grabbed the box I was holding.

I quickly took the box from Jonas's hand and said, "It's okay, it's mine, so I'll take it to my room."

"Jonas, forget it. My daughter didn't like it when other people touched her things. Tamara is the strongest member of her pack, so she is used to doing hard work."

I glared at my mom to tell her to stop talking.

Still, I wanted to hide my strength in the Phantom pack so that if my heart started beating again, my new love wouldn't be afraid.

"Don't be shy, Tamara. Jonas probably already knows since I told Alfonzo everything," my mother said when she saw my reaction.

"Anyway, the long drive has made me tired, so I'll rest first. Please show Tamara her room, Jonas. "As my mother walks to the store, she says, "It looks like she's been here for a long time."

Jonas said with a smile, "Don't worry; if you want to join my pack, you won't have any trouble because everyone in it is strong."

Also, he took the box from me and left.

I whisper, "Huh, I'm not sure about that," as I follow him. I didn't want to say that I was stronger than my previous Alpha, so I stopped speaking my mind.
