TORN~Vengeful Heart

Eighteen years been at the orphanage home is really heart breaking. Nobody wants to adopt me... probably because am ugly and chubby.

I don't know why? Am always alone, lost in my own world of tears and broken heart Wondering why my parents abandoned me and now this orphanage home will soon abandon me. Seems am cursed for doom.

"Mary" One of the sister's in charge there called me one day. Maybe she has called to dismiss me...well i have been preparing for this day anyway.

I walked into her office and sat down...with my head lowered, waiting for the bombshell.

"You have been a good girl and a very good fortune to us since the day we found you" Sister Erica said, that's her name...she is the head here.

"Thank you sister" I said with a little smile on my face, waiting patiently for her to spill the reason she called me, rather than beating around the Bush... keeping me on high tension.

"Since you haven't been adopted till this very moment..."

"I will be sent away right?" I immediately interrupted her with tears already finding it's way to my eyes.

I saw her shook her head with a smile on her face.

"It will be so ridiculous for us to do so Mary, well we have planned to send you to Morin high school in other for you to finish your last grade there"

Hearing this my already exhausted face beamed with excitement and smiles.

"What!" I rushed and hugged her.

"Thank you sister Erica" I said hugging her tight to myself while she rubbed my back consoling my tears of joy.

"Remember why we sent you there, go and make us proud Mary. Don't be deceived by the things of the flesh" Those were the advice they gave me the first day I set off for my new school.

"I will make you'll proud" That was my response to them.

I was so excited for my new school, at the orphanage we are been taught there. Since this is my last grade...they decided to send me to school.

My happiness turned into a sad one the immediate time I set foot in Morin high school. The students hated me, they threw tantrums at me telling me to leave their school, because am not fit to be there.

I wanted to give up and dropout but on a second thought I remembered the people who sent me there, their hopes are up high for me.

But among the students in my class, There was one who caught my attention.. you may call it likeness or love at first sight...I don't mind.

What was funny is that he is a very bad boy whom everybody fears and avoid. He kisses and romance his girlfriend Nova in the class all the time.

Such scenes boils my blood so much, you may call it jealousy but I don't care. But who am I to interfere?

Am in no way to be compared with Nova his girlfriend, she is beautiful and curvy...While am chubby and ugly.

But I usually have this fantasy maybe that I will be that Naive ugly girl in stories whom the bad and handsome male lead will have interest on.

"That's so stupid, such a stupid fantasy" My mind will always tell me.

But eventually everything changed just because of this day.

While walking down the hall way going to the cafeteria to have my lunch.As usual students look at me in a mocking way. Well I don't care anymore, am used to it.

"Hey Mary the Virgin!" I heard Nova call me making the students to gather and laugh.

"She will soon conceive by the holy Spirit" One of the students said making the rest to laugh out loud.

I continued walking ignoring them, They were actually right about me been a virgin.

"I'm calling you bitçh" Nova pushed me from the back making me to stagger a little but I didn't fall.

It was as if I was expecting the push.

"What do you want this time Nova?" I slowly asked, I said this time because she is always bullying me.

Nova chuckled slightly.

"She asked a question, Please reply her guys" She said to the students.

"We want you to leave our school!!" They all responded in unison.

I felt so much hurt, it was so heart breaking, am I a nuisance here?

"You heard that right? Leave our school, an ugly pig like you doesn't belong here" She said and poked my head.

I ignored her and turned around to walk away but I paused when my eyes locked with Cassius own, who stood among the students with his hands inside his pocket watching the scene expressionlessly.

I looked away from him, looking elsewhere but my eyes widened up when I saw a girl who raised an egg to throw at me.

I immediately closed my eyes waiting for the egg to hit me but it didn't happen. Rather a huge body suddenly wrapped itself around me and the egg hit on the person's body.

Everybody gasps.

The person disengaged it's body from mine, I looked up to the person's face just to be faced with my distance crush.

"Cassius" I muttered his name not believing my eyes, was I dreaming or what?

But the answer is No, when I heard his voice.

"Are you okay?" He asked so gently, making me to give a slight nod of my head my eyes still not leaving his perfect face.

"What the fûçk is wrong with you Cass?" I heard Nova's angry tone, I turn my head to look at her making her to give me a hard glare.

"Pull away from my guy bitçh" Her cold voice rang in my ears,she rushed to pull me away from Cassius but what happened next was like I was daydreaming.

"Don't touch her" Cassius pulled me to himself and wrapped his hand around my waist.

"Cassius" Nova had her eyes widened at the scene before her. Cassius turned to look at the students making everyone to lower their heads.

"Who threw the egg?" Came his cold voice. Everyone started murmuring trying very hard not to look him on the face.

"I said who threw the damn egg!! Or else everyone here will pay the penalty" He said so gently...well anyone knew better not to annoy him because he meant the words he said.

Cassius is a bad boy after all and know one dares to challenge him.

Without wasting much time or provoking him further...the girl who threw the egg was pushed out immediately.

"Come closer" Cassius said to the girl who seems as if she was trembling.

Everybody watched quietly waiting for what will become of the girl or what Cassius will do to her.

Me too was waiting patiently to know, I was already feeling pity for her.

"Bend down and lick it" He said.

Everybody gasps.

"What?" The girl blink.

"I don't want to repeat myself again" Cassius said making the girl to go on her knees faced with the broken raw egg on the floor.

"It's raw" The girl muttered as if she wants to vomit.

"Cassius" Nova moved closer to him...her hard glares at me.

"This is bad and..."

"Anymore words from you Nova, you will join her" Cassius interrupted her immediately.

Everybody gasps, I too wasn't left alone.

" Thought they were lovers?"

"Why would he take that losers side, instead of his own girlfriend "

The students murmured Among themselves. But they were making sure that Cassius wouldn't hear it.

Of course I heard it, which meant he heard it as well. Unless he had ear malfunction.

You better don't say that out Mary.

I slightly looked at Nova to see her expression. Sadness, anger, fear and betrayal was plastered on her creamy face.

Yet again I felt bad for her. Wait, is this like in the stories where the hottest guy in school saves the nerdy and ugly chick?

I wanted to smile but refrained from doing so, Cassius hands were still wrapped around my waist possessively, yes possessively that's the description I will give it.

If I say I don't like it, then am a big lier.

"Cassius..." Nova muttered when she might have taken few steps back, she knows her boyfriend. From what I heard he isn't the type to give empty threats.

Cassius didn't say anything, he just looked away making Nova to ran off with tears in her eyes.

Am really a dead meat now, I have gained much more haters and enemies. Of course I got enemies before or let me say, they are my enemies but this one is on another level now. Is called enemy Pro max.

"What are you waiting for? lick the damn egg" Cassius voice pulled me off my tremendous thoughts and mind banters.

He was referring to the girl who was still on her knees faced with the broken egg on the floor. Her tears is now like a river flowing through the valley.

Students are still around. Nobody was leaving their spots, it was only Nova who had left, the rest wanna see how this girl is going to lick the dirty thing on the floor.

They are all with their phones ready to snap and send.

I have to do something about this, I can't stand and watch her lick that shit. All this started with me so is gonna end with me.

"Cas..."

"What's going on here!" We heard someone's voice which interrupted my quest of talking to the guy who still held me in his arms.

We all turned our heads to the direction of the voice.

Gasps escaped the students throats.

It was another notorious boys in my class. Dacio and Logan, Cassius's best friends...they are bad and also handsome...but not badder than the guy standing with me here.

You might be thinking why the students gasps? Is because there will be more punishment for this girl. Three bad guys dealing with her.

"What's going on Cassius?" It was Logan, the most flirtous among the boys, he kisses and messes with anything under the skirt. As long as you are wearing skirt, then you are good to go with him.

Cassius had only one girlfriend which is Nova, but Logan is the guy for all girls.

"Am just helping the single bitçhes" That's what he will always say, when asked why he likes girls alot.

"Dealing with some shits Logan" Cassius replied Logan's question making him to crouch down.

He raised the girl's chin up.

"And she is pretty" He smirked seeing her face.

"Do you need our help dealing with her?" That was Dacio, he is also bad, he isn't flirtous like Logan. But I heard he does his outside the school.

When asked why he doesn't have a girlfriend in the school.

He will reply with his calm voice, actually he is calm but dangerous.

"I don't do class stuffs"

"Get up" Logan said to the girl making her to stand up without hesitating.

Cassius frowned.

"She is under me" He muttered.

Logan turned and smiled at him.

"I will handle it from here" He said.

"Now everyone back to your bases, show time is over" Dacio said to the students. Without wasting much time everybody started drifting away untill they were no more.

Actually they had a disappointed Expression plastered on their faces.

Logan with a smirk on his face, he touched the girl's hair.

"Meet me after school" He said making the girl to nod anxiously.

"Tell her to stay off my boundaries, bitçh threw egg on my damn body!" Cassius hissed.

"You heard that?" Logan asked with a smile.

"Now go" He said making the girl to take to her heels without looking back.

Logan had his eyes plastered on her back until she was out of sight.

"She has nice bûtt" He muttered.

"She is a damn junior" Dacio said.

"They are the sweetest" Logan turned to look at us making me to lower my head.

"So dude what going on here?" He asked.

I slowly disengaged myself from Cassius's arm...of course is time for me to leave already.

Enough scenes for me, unless I want another scenes to erupt it'self from this three notorious friends.

Cassius look down at me, meeting his eyes I looked away...his eyes is so hot and s3xy.

My cheeks is already burning hot from embarrassment, sorry shyness.

Cassius noticed it, of course he did because his eyes Never left my face.

"What the fûck" Logan scoffed mockingly, he actually saw my red face.

That shameless thing!

Don't say it out loud Mary, or you are a dead meat.

"Thank for today" I said so awkwardly. This is the only words that I could get myself to say...what more or what else could I say.

"You're going to the cafeteria right?" Cassius asked so calmly. I nodded my head in response, wondering why he asked.

"Let's go together?" He held my hand and walked away leaving his friends behind. I was shocked.

What the hell is going on!

Maybe am really dreaming this time around!

"What the fûck Dacio, what's he doing with that chubby pig?" Logan asked and Dacio shook his head slightly.

"So dude ditçhed us for a mere elephant" Dacio shook his head again and turned to walked away.

"Wait, you described her as an elephant...that's so mean of you. Elephants is more bigger than pigs" Logan followed behind.

"You're the one that's mean by calling her a pig" Dacio retorted making Logan to creased his brows confused.

"How?"

"Pigs are dirty, why Elephants aren't dirty " Dacio replied.

"Oh I see...okay see what will happen, I will be calling her pig why you call her elephant. Deal?" Logan asked.

"Deal"

"I can't wait to dig that girl's hole" Logan said thinking about the egg girl already.

"Congratulations" Dacio muttered and fastened his steps.

*CAFETERIA*

All eyes are on me!

All eyes are on me!

I hate this attention. You can't believe Cassius brought lunch snacks for I and him.

Can't believe that bad guys can be this lovely and romantic, yes romantic that's what I call it.

Someone hasn't done a thing like this for me before, all this whole thing is new to me.

Gosh I feel like am dreaming. Gosh someone should wake me up from this dream. What am I even saying? Nobody should wake me up, I want to keep dreaming, because this dream is so sweet and Romantic.

"What's your name?" Cassius's voice rang in my ears drawing me off my thoughts.

"Huh?" I asked because I didn't really understand what he said.

"Your name?" He repeated so calmly his eyes not getting off my face.

"Mary" I replied.

"Mary..." He hummed nodding his head, this is so stupid but the sound of my name sounds good coming from his lips.

Gosh am really losing it!

"Nice name" He muttered softly.

"Thank you" I smiled.

"You already know mine?" He asked.

"Who doesn't know you" I muttered and almost rolled my eyes, he just smiled in response.

"I want to ask you something" I said gaining his full attention on me now.

I lowered my gaze from him. I started playing slowly with my ham Burger.

"Why did you help me?" I asked without evening taking a glance from him but I knew his eyes was on me.

"Oh...look at me" He demanded, I swallowed up and raised my head to look at him.

When our eyes met, he smiled at me.

"Because you're a nice and good person Mary" He said. Now he is sounding as if we have known each other for so long.

"But I thought..."

"That am a bad guy and bad guys aren't known to be good to people?" He asked making me to lower my gaze.

"Been bad doesn't stop one from doing good, been bad makes someone to be strong and fearless not heartless" He said and sip from his juice.

I contemplated on what he said and was trying to understand it...it's simple but can't be comprehended.

How can been bad make one strong?

"Do you understand?" He asked seeing my confused expression.

"Huh?...yeah I do" I replied returning the immediate soft smile he gave to me.

"You're bad and also intelligent Cassius, I admire your Literacy and knowledge of books" I complemented making him to smile wide.

"Thanks your majesty" He slightly bowed making me to laugh.

"I'm not her majesty" I said.

"Of course you're, every woman is a queen and her majesty" He retorted making me to smile and blush a bit.

He is already giving me butterflies, each words from his lips gives me huge butterflies.

"Okay, if you say so your majesty" I said with a slight smirk making him to laugh. He opened his mouth to talk but I beat him to it.

"Every man is a king" I said as his laughs increased.

Every students in the cafeteria had their eyes on us and I also know their nosy and lousy mouth Is on us also.

But they dare not make that their lousy mouth of aspect to be known, so that they won't receive it hot from Cassius the bad boy.

I wanted to talk to him about Nova, I know I got a whole thing for him but am still that Naive and good girl. Who doesn't wish anyone bad.

I made to talk about the way he treated Nova, that's so unfair despite what she did. She is still his girlfriend and shouldn't get such treatment from him.

I was about saying this but the next thing I heard him say nearly bursted my bubbles.

"You're really nice to be with. Can we be good friends Mary?" He asked so gently as usual his eyes on me.

I wanted to scream out my lungs out of excitement. Imagine me been the friend of the most handsome, intelligent and bad boy in school!

My dream guy!

I nodded my head in response to his request, I don't wanna keep him waiting.

I swallowed the words about Nova, I know this is been greedy or whatsoever you may call it but I can't miss this opportunity.

I know this is so stupid and won't happen but this is my gate way of been his girlfriend!

From that day onwards we became good best friends... going to the cafeteria to eat lunch together and he also protected me from bullies but not really from Nova actually.Any slightest chance she gets, she uses it to bully me.

But that didn't stop me from been Cassius's friend but Greediness took over me, I wanted more than been a friend to him.

I know you won't understand me. But my love for him grows day by day and I also know he had a thing for me because of the way he looks at me.

But I will find out everything today because I wrote him a love letter!

Why eating lunch at the cafeteria with him gisting, I have slide in the letter into his backpack already and his backpack is inside the class.

I was so damn nervous throughout and he noticed.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

"Nothing" I shook my head nervously making him to frown.

"I know something is wro..."

"Well, well, well" That was Nova who interrupted us or is it him.

I thanked my goodness for her interruption but my eyes widened and my heart skipped a beat out of fear seeing what she held.

"Are you surprised?" She asked and dropped something on our table, it was my love letter to Cassius!

How the hell did she come across it!

"Don't stress your old mind darling, I saw when you sneak it into my boyfriend's backpack" She said, I look at Cassius who gave me a questionable look.

Students now had their eyes on us and I felt so embarrassed.

Gosh what have I gotten myself into!

"Wicked Bitçhes like you don't need to be on this planet Earth!" Nova hissed at me angrily, I just had my head lowered.

"Language Nova, you dare not talk to my friend like that" Cassius warned.

"Baby you wont ever look her on the face again, if you read this...she wants to cross the boundaries, such a daring girl...Can you imagine? " She chuckled sighing out with her cold eyes on me.

Why did I even write the letter at the first place? I could have just maintained our friendship. Now am gonna lose everything...I crossed my boundaries like Nova had said.

Cassius not understanding a thing, took the letter from the table.

"Please don't read it" I muttered, tears almost finding it's way to my eyes.

"Is all over bitçh" Nova whispered to me.

The students gossiped, I just wanted the ground to open and swallow me.

Seeing that Cassius has started reading the letter, I lowered my head in so much embarrassment and guilt.

"What's so funny? Is the letter that funny to you?" I heard Nova ask... making me to look up at Cassius.

Our eyes met, I watch him close up the letter and stood up to his feet.

He walked over to me.

"Get up Mary" His gentle voice ranged in my ears.

"Get up and leave bitçh!" Nova laughed.

I looked up at Cassius with tears dripping down my eyes as I stood up waiting to hear his next words.

But none was coming, he just stood looking at me.

"Am sorry Cassius, I shouldn't..." The rest of my words got stuck up inside my throat because of what he did, His two thumbs were on my cheeks cleaning my tears.

I looked up at him, what's he doing?

"I don't like seeing you cry" He said and hugged me, making me to widen my eyes.

"What's going on here?" Nova asked, confused and shocked.

The students weren't left behind.

"I should have made the approach. Instead of you doing it, I'm so sorry Mary" He disengaged from the hug cupping my cheeks.

"Will you be my girlfriend Mary?" This were his next words.

The students gasps.

"Jesus Christ!" Nova gasps too. She was more than shocked.

Like what the hell! What did he just said or let me say asked? Infact what is going on here?!

Before I can digest his question or comprehend and understand it.

Cassius clashed his lips on me, kissing me so hard.

My eyes was just widened up.
