KYLE'S POV, "You are driving me crazy, girl, "I said as I took her earlobes in between my teeth and scraped them sexually, her moans filled my ear and I bite it harder as I recollected all I did just to get her to be mine, that is the price every human male makes to get to date a female werewolf. It is really crazy. Now, I am no longer a human. I am now an immortal who got his own power just like every werewolf. "Wait a little," she said as she shoved me into the bed. I slumped on the bed as I attempted to quell my emotion. She twerked her asses in a way that sent some sensation down my spine, I groaned and held my dick. Suddenly she turned her face to me and I smiled, she frowned. "Who are you?" she asked me in a cozy voice as she paced up and down like a giant warrior. "What do you mean?" I asked as my gaze swiveled around and I saw the mirror overlooking her back. Has she discovered the new me? I implored in my mind. Then my eyes flickered. I stood up in speed and strode to the window and looked up at the stars. "I am a Vampire!" I yelled. Chapter 1 The Black Moon

Kyle's pov

It's been exactly a week since that awful incident happened, but yet, I could neither talk of it nor had the memory left my head.

It was like, something punched the repeat button on my brain remote control so that only that ugly event played in my mind. It's not like I've had any pleasant events anyways. Or maybe I have... However, whatever good memory I had died alongside my parents seven years ago.

I was only ten when my parents had an automobile crash that took their life. At that time, Alpha Aloysius, the ruler of one of the four werewolf kingdoms that surrounded the human village, just had a son, and he had invited everybody to the celebration.

The peaceful coexistence that ensued between the humans and werewolves at that time was strict because of some restrictions, rules, and regulations that governed them all.

Everybody, including the inhabitants of the other three werewolf kingdoms and the humans too, was invited. However, despite how my mother, in particular, had coaxed me into going with them, I refused to go. And it is that simple refusal that probably kept me alive till today.

However, the event of seven days ago made me question the reason behind my existence. I was better off dead anyway. I should have gone with mama and papa to the Alpha's ceremony, the weakness in me thought. I should have died with them.

It was cold. I felt my pulse quickening, almost like I could hear the snapping and buckling of my bones. My mind was in disarray. A mirror of my past, I might add. Fragments of these memories came crashing down on my senses, and even in my sleep, I could hear distant noise, heartbeat, and footsteps that disturbed my rest.

*The sun had dropped and abandoned the sky, and the moon was crimson red, looking as though it sought blood. The night bird flew over, around, and about it as I continued to run wild inside the thick bush. The echoes of my chasers close on my heels. The air thickened around me as I tried to run quicker. They were behind me, hunting and chasing me like I was the plague. My leg caught up with a tree root which made me double over, and I fell headfirst right into the big tree standing in my front, and I passed out on the ground immediately.*

*The giant black creature hovering around the moon descended low, sailed over my head, and sat on my head. "Wake up!" I heard the voice whistling. "Arise!" it seemed like it commanded.*

The voice of the creature continued to ring in me until I jumped up from my bed; my eyes snapped open. I squinted my eyes when the brightness of the sun ray almost blinded me. I yawned and scratched my eyes. It was that dream again.

It has been seven days since the accident in the thick bush. And it has been seven days since I started having this weird dream -where I fell flat on the ground, and an uncanny creature came and bid me to stand up.

It wasn't just about the dream. It was the seventh day those weird feelings started. The one where I feel the presence of something around me when in fact, I was always alone. I sat up from my bed to adjust the old ragged blinds hanging on my window to minimize the light that came into my room, and that was when I saw it again.

A mimicry of the creatures from my dreams was standing on the oak tree, a few feet from my bedroom window, glaring away. But why does it seem like I could understand the sound coming from it? Although it didn't speak. I felt and heard him saying, it seemed.

The creature turned my way and looked right into my eyes, which might have seeped through my soul because as I looked right back into its eyes, what seemed to be more than just a recollection of my dreams clouded my mind.

The images were so uncanny and scary and mind wrecking too that I had to slap my eyelid shut to prevent myself from seeing more. My hands frantically shot to my ears to keep them from hearing more unnerving sounds that appeared to be coming out of the eyes of the creature... If that was even possible.

"The days of rebirth are complete. No longer a part but a whole. No longer a basic but a rare. The night calls for sharing of flesh and drinking of blood. If the moon goes thirsty, let it drink!" The creature spoke, and I heard it through my mind. But with a voice that sounded hoarse and rustic. Like an old man. And immediately, it disappeared.

What the hell? I thought and turned away from the window to the kitchen, feeling famished all of a sudden. Maybe the fall affected my brain somehow, which was why I was hallucinating, I thought.

My stomach grumped, and as I turned sideways, searching for some leftover food to eat, I caught sight of a slightly wounded rat eating from the grains on the ground. Immediately, my nose twitched in recognition of the alluring stench of blood, an act I noticed to have started for at least the last four days. My stomach groaned again in gratification.

And with desires as strong and wild as anything, I caught the rodent in one swift motion, and before I understood what I was doing, I tucked my teeth into its flesh and sucked its blood-devouring it like it's the best delicacy I've had in ages. And in truth, it was!

I jolted and reeled backward a bit when the realization of what I had done struck me, and with a pace, I never knew I had, I dashed to my bathroom and looked into the mirror to confirm my doubt, but for the life of me, I couldn't see my reflection at all.

"What the heck!" I shouted in alarm, then jumped backward. My leg hit the toilet seat at my back, and I fell, and immediately everything turned utterly black.

Chapter 2 The Strange Openings

Kyle's pov

I had only one purpose, and that was to find out why and how I turned out this strange and weird. Last night was worse, I couldn't even take a little sleep, and neither did my craving for blood subside. I'm guessing at this point there are no more rodents in my room.

I had conducted a series of blood tests in the lab to see if I'd have the edge over my newly profound abilities. I sat silently on the lab stool to wait for the results until it was ready and came out.

I was shocked by the revelation of the result. Not wholly shocked, I must say. Although my instincts pointed to the fact that my hunches were correct, the logical part of my brain fought against the possibilities. But now, it is confirmed.

And after a couple of other research on the web, mythological books, and journals, I knew for a fact that I died and woke up. I am no longer a human. The words of the owl played once more in my head. Wake up! Arise!

"The days of rebirth are complete. No longer a part but a whole. No longer a basic but a rare. The night and the moon calls for sharing flesh and drinking blood. When the moon goes thirsty, let it drink!"

.....the days of rebirth are complete! A reincarnation.

This new piece of information intrigued and interested my being. I wanted to try new things. I wanted to learn new things! There are so many things that need to be learned and practiced! My mind roared, and suddenly I had a grasp of my inner self.

No more would I be the boy that people oppressed!

No more would I be the boy that girls reject!

And no more would I be the stepson that gets maltreated by his wicked stepmother.

"Firstly, you need to learn how to use your powers," a familiar voice thundered. I looked around but couldn't find anything or anyone with me.

"How do I do this?" I groaned inwardly, and I was shocked once more when the familiar voice spoke again.

"Focus! Just focus. Let your mind teach you." The voice in my head blasted, and I paid attention to every word. "Let your mind direct you," it roared again.

I closed my eyes and tried to meditate, but it looked like I wasn't getting it.

"Follow your mind and walk according to the path it shows forth, into the depth of the woods. The part is set alone to roam only by immortals. In the woods, after the land of the living and after the skull dessert and after the seven white stones, you shall go. Into the abyss that holds the boundary between the natural and supernatural. There, you would find that, which is to tell and teach you all you would ever need to learn." The voice said, and immediately without any form of protest, I picked up my test materials from the lab and shoved them into my bag before sprinting away.

The cold and crisp autumn air greeted my body once I stepped outside the lab. Wisconsin sure does have the prettiest view during this time. I watched and noticed how the countryside was ablaze with colors.

A sudden cold wave hit my face, and my nose flared in return, and I went frantic on impulse. My fangs stuck out, my fingers poked out, and I felt an unusual pop of adrenaline seeping through my veins.

The danger was near. I could smell it. I could feel it.

I strained my ears and what I heard next caused my cheeks to split into wide grins.

"You must not let yourself be put down by anybody because you are not just the heir to the night moon pack, but also an Achak. I'd leave a few of the pack guards at your disposal. Send them in times of emergency and keep in touch." the person I sensed to be Alpha Aloysius spoke to his son.

Well, if this whole thing hadn't gotten better.

The reason for my parent's death was at my disposal. An eye for an eye, this shall be indeed!

I willed my senses to stop when I remembered something I read from my research; Werewolves have a way of smelling vampires from a distance as well.

I dashed for the woods and walked according to the voice's instruction which was in my mind.

And after what seemed like forever in the wood, I saw the last part of my sign - the seven white stones. It felt like days since I passed the skull desert, and as I walked further, I noticed the differences in the atmosphere. I needed no soothsayer to tell me where I was.

I could feel it.

The power. The myth....it was extraordinary!

...the abyss that holds the boundary between the natural and the supernatural.

But then there was nobody here. Who was the voice referring to when he said that which would teach me all I need to know?

I just stood and stared. Thought of what I was thinking about, what to do when a blackbird flew past me and disappeared into space.

I became petrified.

I was about to turn back around when a thought cut through my mind.

I took off my shoes and threw them in the direction where the bird disappeared, and my shoe vanished. Although, I could see ahead of me. There was no sign of my shoe.

Okay, let's do this. I encouraged myself before sticking my hand out, and immediately I felt a tear in space. I moved my whole body forward, and I was greeted into another world.

"And the prophecy foretold of a young lad who would rise to conquer the prevailing kingdom and situate his on their head. Ruling and tormenting all other kingdoms. For posterity has been set as his reward."

I turned toward the voice and what I saw next made me cringe...

Chapter 3 Lost In The Wood

Jasmine's pov

Where are the goddamn roads?

A chill traveled down my spine as my eyes wandered around the woods. I've been running for two hours. Two fucking hours.

What were mother's words to me again?

*"Stay out of trouble and by all means do not illegally cross the borders of other kingdoms," she had always warned.*

I've always been known to obey my parent's words since obviously they were the Alpha and Luna of my pack but basically because I was your typical introvert. A dorky one at that.

About three hours ago, I left my dorm room for some fresh air when I couldn't get any more ideas penned down. I suffered heavily from writer's block, and I have a deadline to meet by next week. It was as if my idea juice dried up. I parked my car on the paved road, but I unconsciously entered the woods, the part which was set apart for only the inhabitants of Allouez.

The wolf's kingdom was divided into four. The domains were grouped according to the colors of the fur.

Brown shadow pack (brown fur- kingdom Alleouz), headed by Alpha Aurthur and Luna Bella.

Black Moon pack (black fur- kingdom Arlington) headed by Alpha Greenwood and Luna Loretta.

Green moss pack (green fur- kingdom Bloomfield ), headed by Alpha Aloysius and Alpha Natalie.

And lastly, the White Claw pack (White fur- kingdom Blanchard-Ville ) headed by Alpha Lucien and Luna Lucy, my parents.

I know I should have stopped and explained to them that it was a mistake instead of making it seem like it was an imposter or a lone Wolf, but I couldn't. I was too scared.

I groaned to myself before kicking the mud off my paws. I needed to find an exit as I could no longer hold my chasers off. I needed to escape. The woods were dark, with barely any source of light. The branches snapped behind me, and a soughing growl made its way to my ears.

They were here.

I realized they were trying to circle me and then ambush me, but I didn't give up just yet. I've been taught many escape tactics, and I wasn't going about to put my mother to shame.

I found myself on the paved road outside the woods. As soon as I touched the ground, I shifted to my human form. Cold air greeted my skin, and I wrapped my hand around my bare breast before heading towards my car parked by the woods.

Once inside, I glanced back at the woods, searching for lurking danger, but I didn't find any. "Phew," I breathed out, then rested my head on the stirring. Another sigh escaped my mouth.

"That was close," I mumbled to myself before twisting my key inside my car ignition and switching the engine on. With one roar, my jeep rolled out of the woods.

The panic welled in my chest and calmed down as I swallowed the iced saliva stuck in my throat. The college building appeared in my view... Manville.

Manville, the only city, dominated by humans, just as the name implied. A mayor ruled the town. Governor Micheal Whites.

As per the laws that governed the territory, werewolves are not to snap at each other or humans on the city ground. Blood could only be shed in the woods.

I tend to associate more with humans a lot more than I do with werewolves. Something that I found really interesting because humans are more palatable than humans. And are always interested in listening to wolves' stories and learning whatever trick you teach them-Unlike the wolves.

Sparkling blue and golden lights flashed over me as I reached the parking lot outside my dorm, and I swerved to the space therein to park my car and quickly put on my jeans and T-shirt.

A gasp escaped my lungs as the loud sound of my phone ringing cut through the silence in my car. I quickly grabbed the phone from the passenger seat to check the caller. I hoped it wasn't a mother. That woman had a way of sensing when someone was in danger, even when the person stayed 20,000 kilometers from her.

That was an exaggeration, of course. But danger sensing at a long distance is a common trait for all primordial.

"Ha! Thank you graciously!" I exclaimed when I checked the caller's ID, and I saw it wasn't my mother calling. Hell, it wasn't even a wolf call.

It was Miranda.

"Hey," I said as I answered the call.

"Hey, yourself. I have been waiting for you for hours now! I thought you were supposed to be back by 8?" She snapped, sounding exhausted and irritated.

"Uh, yeah." my reply was clipped. "I'm just down. I was parking my car. I will be there in a moment. Stay put!"

"Whatever!" She fired. "Just another minute, and if you don't show up by then, I will leave without you. " she sounded convinced that I was lying... That I wasn't parking my car.

"Stepping into the elevator," I stomped my feet harder on the ground. "Hear that? That's the sound of my feet on the marble floor. You know how footsteps sound on marbles, right?" I asked, forgetting I was talking to a human.

"Yes. And I know how you sound when you lie," she replied wittily.

This girl!

I ended the call when I realized she wasn't buying my confessions. I walked inside the building, waving at the security guards, and smiling brightly at them, to which they replied with the same energy. Do you see? Another perk of humans.

So lovely.

I walked inside the elevator, and after pressing the green button and punching my floor number, I rested my head on the talk glass wall, closed my eyes, and heaved a sigh of relief. I was enjoying the cocoon of the ride up.

Well, it has been such a tough evening. I raised my head and opened my eyes when I heard the bing sound of the elevator, telling me I'd reached my desired floor and that I was now safe, but boy, was I wrong. The lights suddenly went off, then boom! There was a crash...
