Elena's eyelids fluttered and a tiny ray of blood-red light flashed across her eyelashes. As she opened her eyes, the bloody light struck her eyes like a piece of glass and she flinched lightly and gritted her teeth. Suddenly, she got the shock of a lifetime...her canines were jutting out of her mouth that were more prominent than the razor-sharp canines of a tiger.
She got up with a jerk and got another shock as she found herself lying in a suffocating coffin. And realized that her clothes had been changed and she was donning jet black robes worn that were typically worn by ancient vampires. Immediately, she got out of the coffin and moved towards the door located at the far end of the creepy oblong room that was abnormally enormous. She pushed the door hard and it opened noiselessly. And the moment it opened, what she viewed nearly caused her to be struck by a lightning bolt.... The hall was filled with state-of-the-art technology beyond any human's wildest dreams...
A series of ultra-modern humanoid robots stood upright in a corner wearing casual jeans and t-shirts of the same color. In addition to that, a gigantic holographic screen lay hovering above, that spectacularly displayed scenes from across not the universe, but the multi-verse! The innumerable realms and planets on display on the holograph kept shifting and transforming like a 3D wallpaper on a laptop. Elena was stunned beyond words as her mouth lay hung open widely and her reddish eyeballs seemed to nearly pop out of her sockets at the incredibly bizarre sight. Furthermore, when she moved her gaze away from the hologram she noticed an elevated golden throne that lay right in the centre and the figure seated on it raised the blood to Elena's head... it was Eric.
The ruthless blood-sucking monster sat there motionlessly and didn't even bother looking at Elena.
"Hope you had a sound sleep, my love!" He exclaimed, with a maleficent smirk on his pale white face.
"You! You ruddy blood-thirsty devil!" she screamed and was about to sprint towards him to attack when Eric extended his hand in her direction and swirled his fingers as though hypnotizing her. The moment he rotated his fingers, Elena came to an abrupt halt and her eyeballs began to rotate uncontrollably. After a few seconds, her eyes returned to normal and her utterly distasteful and scornful expression turned to that of utmost tenderness and affection as she threw Eric a glowing look. Eric let out a smile, which revealed his monstrous pointed canines and gestured her to come towards him.
Elena seemed to have fallen under a powerful love spell and as she approached the vampire, he placed her on his lap and kissed her passionately. He was feasting on her lips even more aggressively than he would have sucked anyone's blood. And Elena was responding to his dangerous lust with a nearly equal amount of passion. Their lips drifted apart and Eric began to suck onto her soft tender neck which made her moan loudly. She wrapped her arms across his head and caressed his curly hair as he moved away from her neck and began to nibble her earlobe which made her flinch with intense arousal.
"Oh Eric, you are amazing! You are a magician!" she moaned loudly while the humanoids merely stared at those steamy moments with absolute blank expressions on their faces. After nearly fifteen minutes of intense lust and passion, the two broke apart and gazed into each other's eyes.
"Eric!" Elena whispered, as she failed to move an eyelash while staring into the vampire's monstrous eyes.
"Yes, my dear girl?"
"Who am I to you?" she asked innocently as her newly-formed pointed teeth gleamed in the red light.
'You are my wife, Elena! And we love each other dearly!" saying that he caressed the side of her lovely hair and moved a strand of her hair behind her right earlobe. The two lovers were about to move their faces towards each other and initiate another lengthy passionate session when a circle of bluish light swished across the air and a towering man wearing jet black robes and neck-length dark hair emerged out of it. His eyes were bloodshot, just like any other vampire's and there were tiny earrings in his pierced ears.
"I am extremely sorry to break this enchanting moment of intimacy, Eric. But we are under attack!" he announced, glancing at Elena distastefully.
"What!?" Eric demanded, as he moved Elena out of his lap and rose to his feet instantly. "Where, Jake!?"
Jake looks at him nervously and mumbled slowly as though the words seemed to choke him.
"Speak up, Jake!" Eric yelled, staring at him furiously and finally the towering vampire blurted out.
"In the Forest of Lean,"
The moment those words came out of his mouth, Eric growled with rage and grabbing Elena's hand he began to follow Jake through the portal.
"What's there in the Forest of Lean, Eric?" Elena inquires blankly, however, Eric ignored her and merely instructed her to follow him and help him fight their enemies. The instant they moved through the bluish light, the portal closed and within a fraction of a second, Elena found herself surrounded by massive trees in a dense forest where the wind was blowing fiercely and gut-wrenching roars and screams filled the heavy air.
The vampires from Eric's clan were battling their deadliest enemies ever...the werewolves. As the trio entered the forest through the portal, one of the vampires came soaring through the air and was about to crash onto the ground, when Eric zoomed towards him at lightning speed and grabbed him by the waist. The vampire was groaning badly and there were horrible marks of claws across his neck.
"Rooney! Are you alright?" Eric exclaimed as he placed the rosy pale-skinned vampire onto the ground and looked at him anxiously.
"Kill those bastards, Eric!" the guy whispered and perished into his arms. Eric let out a growl of immense fury and sprinted towards the approaching werewolf who had killed Rooney. Eric reached the werewolf at super speed and twisted the beast's neck instantly as the creature lay dead on the forest floor. The other werewolves left their opponents and charged toward Eric and Jake who placed their backs against each other and began to fight the beasts.
One of the werewolves jumped over Eric who dodged the attack by rolling onto the side across the ground and grabbing the beast by the waist he flung him against the bark of a humongous banyan tree. The werewolf collided against the tree and fell unconsciously onto the floor.
Meanwhile, three other wolves emerged from the darkness from behind Eric. Slowly, they sneaked from behind and were on the verge of pouncing on Eric...
When Elena zoomed towards Eric at an inhumane speed and grabbing him by the waist, she moved him out of harm's way and they went rolling across the ground.
Elena lay over her lover and they stared into each other's eyes. Elena felt quite shy as his eyes pierced hers and a substantially large bubble of affection blew inside her. In the interim, the two werewolves advanced toward them. Suddenly, Elena turned towards them with her eyes turning redder with fury and revulsion. She opened her mouth, displaying her razor-sharp canines and in a fraction of a second, she charged toward the two beasts. One of the horrendous beasts opened his jaw and tried to bite her, but the newly turned vampire dodged its attack by swerving onto the side and catching its neck, she flung him across the air. The werewolf went flying at a meteor's speed across the forest and went out of sight.
The beast's counterpart let out a growl of agony and went zooming towards Elena like a lightning bolt. The two fierce rivals charged like bulls towards each other and before the monstrous creature could strike with its paws, Elena landed a fierce punch on its face which nearly shook the ground. With Elena's inexplicably inhumane strength and the intensity of the punch, the creature should have gone flying across the air, however, the werewolf barely moved and perished instantly. Eric then realized that Elena had held its neck when she punched him.
"Holy bloody shit!" Eric gasped as his eyes widened and seemed to nearly pop out of his sockets. "The new-born is indeed as strong and dangerous as legend says,"
At that point, a scream was heard from nearby which caused Eric to get onto his feet immediately and rush towards the source. Moving through the woods, Eric noticed a few other vampires lying beneath the paws of the werewolves whose mouths were bloody. Moreover, a white werewolf with white stripes was moving towards a humongous boulder that lay at the center. One of the vampires that lay beneath the werewolf's paws was Jake and he was screaming at Eric for help but the guy's eyes were glued to the white werewolf. As the claws of the beast sliced through Jake's chest, Eric sprinted towards the white beast who was about to move the boulder aside.
"NO!" Eric roared and in the next second, he reached the murderous beast and grabbing its tail the vampire lifted it in the air and smashed him against the ground. The werewolf struggled to free itself but a mad fury had taken over him and continued to bang him against the ground mercilessly. Eventually, the beast closed its eyes and Eric spun him across the air like a hammer in a hammer throw event and released it which sent the dead beast moving across the trees through the forest.
Eric heaved with intense rage and growled at the remaining werewolves who began to shiver at the vampire's wrathful side. Immediately, they left the remaining vampires and ran away. Eric tend to his fellow comrades and healed their injuries using his magical powers.
"Thank you, Eric!" expressed a lanky vampire with short jet black hair as Eric helped him onto his feet. "You never say thanks to your brothers, Ronan."
Eric smiled at him and the other vampires gathered around them.
"These bloody scumbags will return!" Ronan exclaimed and there was a murmur of abuses and grumbling amongst the bloodsuckers which evaporated as Eric raised his hand in the air.
"My fellow brothers and sisters. We are an ancient race that is not afraid of our enemies no matter how frequently they attack and try to kill us! Let the werewolves come again and we will thwart them again!"
At Eric's declaration, there was a roar of cheers and a series of chants that stopped abruptly as Elena made her appearance. The entire vampire clan gazed at her with immense curiosity.
"My fellow brothers and sisters! This is Elena, a newborn and my wife!" he declared which initiated a massive round of applause amongst the blood-sucking beasts.
"Way to go Eric! Your wife's drop-dead gorgeous!" one of the vampires commented which made Elena blush horribly and the redness was clearly visible through her pale white skin.
"Can we go from here?" she whispered in Eric's ears and he nodded slightly.
"Alright then, my fellow comrades we will take our leave now. We will meet soon when the occasion arises," he announced and with a quick snap of his fingers a portal appeared and without wasting another second, he grabbed Elena's hand and they vanished into thin air.
'And here we are! Home sweet home!" Eric exclaimed and jumped onto the nearest sofa and lay there lazily. He then opened his eyes for a brief moment and gave his wife a look of immense affection and tenderness.
"Come here you," he said and extended his hand in her direction. Elena placed her palm in his and he pulled her towards him. She fell onto his body and he ran his hands across her graceful hair which smelled sweeter than honey to him.
"Your hair is the sweetest thing in the world to me, Elena!" he whispered into her ears and she merely moaned softly.
"Where did you learn these words from?" she asked flirtatiously, gazing deeply into his soulless eyes.
"These come automatically when you are with me, my girl!" saying that he pulled her over himself and planted a passionate kiss on her lips.
Their lips parted and the vampire muttered,
"Your lips possess the intoxication of a thousand bottles of beer, Elena. I feel like drinking a thousand bowls of the exotic elixir from your lips..."
Those words had a profound effect on the newly-turned vampire who turned wild and began to kiss every inch of him right from his forehead to his navel. Elena Darl had never heard such sweetly charming words ever in her entire mortal life, and now, when she no longer possessed the barrier of mortality she found a life she probably could have never imagined. The newborn vampire began to remove her husband's robe and planted a tenderly passionate and lustful kiss on his ice-cold chest and Eric moaned loudly. With every inch of his robe that she removed, she showered his monstrous body with the softness of her blood-red lips. However, before she could move any further, something struck her mind that she was forced to halt in the middle of their love-making session.
"What happened, sweetheart?" Eric asked curiously as Elena moved away and rose to her feet. He looked at her anxiously and getting up he placed his palm onto her shoulder. "Is there anything that's bothering you?"
"It's nothing," she said causally and began to stare into space blankly.
Eric turned her towards him while her gaze was lowered. He placed his palm on her chin affectionately and moved her head up.
"My dear wifey. Enlighten me with reason of your worry, and I swear that I will do whatever that's in my power to bring a smile back onto your face,"
Elena remained silent for a few seconds and then moved her lips slowly,
"There is something I have been meaning to ask you, Eric."
"And what is that?'
"Um. When we were battling those werewolves in the Forest of Lean, you saw your friend Jake die beneath the bloody claws of that beast, yet, you preferred to prevent that white werewolf from reaching that huge boulder. May I ask why?"
At her question, Eric's affection and tenderness took the form of utmost sheepishness and his eyes went down and he slightly turned his posture away from his lady love.
"Well, I have my reasons for that decision, Elena. And they are strong enough to justify the actions that I took at that point,"
"I would like to know what those reasons were, Eric. I want to know your heart and soul thoroughly."
"Just know that the boulder that beastly bastard was going to move is a holy site for us vampires. And it is our life's duty to protect it from all enemies!"
"What lies beneath that holy stone, Eric? Tell me," Elena insisted, placing her palm on his shoulder but her moved it with subtle harshness.
"You will get all your answers when the time is right, Elena. But for now, do not ask me any questions and please do not expect any answers. The sun's about to come up and we have college tomorrow and I am quite exhausted due to the battle with those disgusting creatures. I am going to my coffin for some rest, please excuse me."
Saying that, the mysterious vampire marched towards the room where Elena had woken up in and closed it tightly behind him, leaving the newly turned vampire into deep thoughts filled with curiosity, skepticism and worry.
What exactly was the thousand-year-old vampire husband of hers trying to hide from her?
The sun had risen across the enchanting light blue horizon and was spreading its dazzling light across the students' faces, as they made their way across their respective classes from the college ground.
Elena was walking quite slowly across the lobby and feeling rather lonely. Her close friends had been killed and there was no one really left for her to speak to closely. Therefore, she merely placed her books inside her locker and was about to turn when her head collided against a blond-haired girl's and the girl's book fell onto the floor.
"Ouch!" the girl flinched and began to rub her forehead quite vigorously.
"Oh I am so sorry!" Elena apologized as she bent down to help her get her books.
"It's alright, it was my mistake. Was lost in my own stupid world. I should rather thank you for bringing me back to reality and making me realise that the dream world do nothing but hurt," she expressed and let out a brief chuckle.
The girl was slightly taller than Elena and possessed brilliant navy blue eyes behind a pair of nerdy round spectacles. Her blond hair was tied into a long braid that reached her waist. She was quite attractive for a nerd with a slim face and fleshy reddish lips and a small cute nose.
"I am Zinaida, by the way," she introduced herself as she extended her arms towards Elena who shook it with a casual smile.
"Elena, Elena Darl,"
"Interesting name you got there," she remarked with her eyebrows raised.
"Thanks,"
"Well I am in freshmen year, and quite nervous. I hope the seniors here don't rag or anything," she said with a nervous smile.
"Don't worry, nobody will do anything to you here," Elena said in a cold tone completely unlike her original herself. Since becoming a vampire, she had lost most of her warmth and jovial nature and her heart seemed to have become icy. The only warmth she felt was during those intimate moments that she spent with Eric in his mansion.
Zinaida gave her another nervous smile and with a quick 'thanks' she left.
The moment Elena was about to enter History class, she noticed Eric walking from the opposite end with a stern expression on his face. The moment their eyes met, Elena waved at him but he ignored her like she were part of the wall and walked away. With a confused and irritated expression on her face, Elena entered the classroom.
"Who was Thor?" asked Mr. Jacob, the History teacher, as he paced back and forth between the class benches. Mr. Jacob was a short and plump middle-aged man who was on the verge of balding with grey hair protruding from the back of his head. One of the students raised his hand and said,
"Thor was the god of thunder in Norse mythology and one of the most fierce and strong kings of the Norse kingdom called Asgard," he answered and received an emotionless round of applause from the students who were clearly bored by the mundane lecture.
Suddenly at the name of Thor a blurred vision flashed across Elena's mind wherein she noticed a tall, muscular man holding what vaguely looked like a hammer raised in the air. Following that vision, a number of other vague images flashed across her head like her mind seemed to be a badly tuned television. The vision lasteds for a few seconds and then seemed to have been sucked into the vacuum....what was happening to Elena?
