THE RETURN OF THE ALPHA

What have I done? What was I doing here in the first place? That's it, I think I just made the worst mistake ever?

Mum said I should always listen to the moon necklace but see where it landed me. I was vibrating, if I don't calm myself down he is going to find me in no time.

He tricked me into using the Moon backlace to let him out. I thought he was just an ordinary werewolf trapped inside the cave. But I failed to see what was written on the wall of the cave.

It was no ordinary cave, it was the cave of the cursed. But who cursed him? What type of curse was placed on him?

To lure people in and kill them?. I really don't know how I ended up here but Tasha always said to me. The moon necklace will lead you to your path.

But am I on the right path?

Most princesses have their life all planned out and perfect. A charming prince, a cattle, a lovely kingdom.

Mine wasn't close to being like that. It was the opposite. Being born a werewolf but never getting to have my first transformation. I feel like I am also cursed.

"There you are!" I screamed the moment I saw the face of the beast I let loose myself. I started drawing back.

"Stay away from me" I was shaking.

"Do you think you can hide from me? No one I repeat no-one can hide from me"

"What do you want from me!. I just want to go home"

"Is either you come with me or I will make you"

Where is Tasha? She always finds me when I get lost just like now. Why is she not coming?.

I tried to escape but he beat me to it. Grabbing me by my clothes, he dragged me all the way to the exit.

"Make with the magic" he said looking at me with fury in his eyes. I haven't gotten a closer look at him since we met.

His eyes were of two different colours, just like mine. The moon necklace was made to cover mine off. Mum and Tasha said no one can see them or the person dies.

That's why I never take the necklace off.

"I said make with the magic" He said, coming close to me. I backed away from him immediately until I hit the wall.

"I don't know what you are asking me to do but I don't think I can do it"

"You let me out of those chains, you brought me out of that hell so do the rest"

"I can't " I refused to let him out of here. Am sure he was locked in here for a reason. I can't let him out.

"Fine, I mean I have been starved for a thousand years. You look quite yummy to me"

Is he really going to eat me? I should resist a little bit more, I can't let him leave this cave if he is going to eat people as food.

He pinned me down with his hands. I can't believe he is just holding me down with one hand and I can't move.

"Why don't I start with your head?"

"Fine, I will do it" I said, after seeing his mouth wide open I decided to do as I was asked. Am sure Tasha will find me soon.

I didn't need to do anything, just standing close to the exit. The moon necklace lifted the curse placed at the exit of the cave.

Bardulf's POV

I felt the air hit my face, it was a nice feeling. The one I haven't felt in a thousand years. I smiled to myself knowing fully well that the moon goddess would be in panic right now.

Just like this little creature In Front of me. I couldn't tell if she was a demon or a werewolf. I couldn't smell her.

It was like she had no scent of her own. She was still shaking at the spot.

I wasn't expecting her to run away again. She should know better by now. I let her run a bit into the woods before going after her.

Even without her scent she was too easy to find. Her breathing is so loud and fast. Her heartbeat is as loud as a drum.

"I told you can't hide from me" I said after finding her hiding behind a rock.

"What do you want from me?"

"Something very valuable, give me that necklace"

"No I can't, I won't survive a day without this necklace"

"It seems you like doing things the hard way, but believe me you don't want to see me angry"

She swallowed hard, she was still shaking. All I want is the necklace, I don't have interest in a powerless demon like her.

"Take it off!" I barked at her.

"Fine, I will take it off"

"I'm waiting"

She took the necklace off and dropped it on the ground. But something strange happened, she changed.

Her once brown long hair turned into white . It became longer and floated around her. Her skin became pale.

And then her eyes, her eyes changed. Her eyes were of two different colours. Who is she? Is she a demon?

How was she able to control the moon necklace? How did she find me? Why did the moon goddess send her to me?

Why isn't he dying? He is supposed to be turned into ashes, at least that's what Tasha said. Did she lie to me?

The way he was looking at me was giving me the shivers. I guess he didn't expect me to change just immediately I took the necklace off.

At least maybe he will let me go after this. I need to put that necklace back on or they will come. The last time I saw them was when I was six, I never took the necklace off until now.

But I think I'm more scared of the beast standing in front of me than the silly creatures who want to harm me because of my powers.

He picked the necklace up, thrusting it towards me.

"Put it back on" he said in a commanding tone.

"But I just too it off"

"I said put it back on" this time around he took a step towards me. My hair attacked him in defence of me but he was fast enough to avoid it.

"Am sorry, I didn't do that. They always works on their own" I said trying to hold my hair together.

It has always been like this as long as I could remember. There was a time I nearly killed a child at school.

She was a bully that wouldn't let me be. That was the very first time my air appeared without me taking the necklace off.

"Your hair also fights for you? What type of demon are you?"

Did he just call me a demon? I hate it when people say am a demon when I obviously have two werewolves as my parents.

"I am not a demon"

Bardulf's POV

Was she angry because I called her demon? The once little girl that was shaking in fear was gone. Standing in front of me is a totally different person.

Her face was in a frown, what type of power does she possess. The necklace is with me so am quite sure the necklace is not the source of her powers.

"If you are not a demon, then what are you?" I walked close to her being at alert just incase her floating hair attacks me again.

"I am a werewolf" I wanted to laugh, and I did.

"You, a werewolf? That is the best joke I have heard in a thousand years"

"I don't see anything funny!" She screamed on my face. It was then I noticed she was floating as well. Who the heck is this little lady in front of me.

"Move away from me or you might regret it" I glared at her and she did the same. Wait don't tell me she has a split personality, or maybe she can't control her powers.

So that's why she has the necklace, she can't control her powers or she has a very aggressive side in her.

"And if I don't"

"Is that a challenge" I waited for her answer but instead she fell on the ground. What happened, is her floating power gone?

"Am so sorry, I didn't mean all of that I just want to go home that's all"

The weak side of her is back, and she is also back to shaking because of my presence. I think this young lady might be a rare gem.

If I can awaken the aggressive side of her I can use her and get what I want.

"Put the necklace back on" she did that immediately and she was back to normal self. Her floating hair was gone, her eyes and skin were back to normal colours.

I have never seen anything like this before. I stared at her for a while trying to see if I can find a clue about her powers but nothing.

"Why are you staring at me like that? Did I do something wrong?" She asked backing away from me as I stepped closer to her.

"What type of demon are you? An ice demon, a fire demon, water demon or Earth demon?"

"I don't know what you are talking about but am not a demon. Am a werewolf"

"Are you trying to play jokes with me? Do I look like I have the time to waste?"

"I know you don't have time to waste, that's the more reason you need to get going" she said before hitting a wood behind her.

I stepped closer and sniffed her, once again I couldn't find any scent on her. She is lying, at the time she took the necklace off her scent filled the air.

I couldn't define what she smelled like at that moment but it was a very pleasant smell, like a flower.

"Who are you? Who told you to find me?"

Why is he doing this to me?

"I told you am a werewolf"

"You really want me to believe you are a werewolf? Then why don't we try this, change into your werewolf form, prove to me that you are a werewolf"

I felt like crying, I have been teased since I turned twelve. I couldn't get my wolf form, that also made others call me freak.

I was expelled from most of my school. I was mostly treated as trash. My parents were insulted a lot because of me.

And then comes Ulva, who have been making my life a living hell so far. Sometimes I don't even believe we are sister's.

"Am still waiting" his voice snapped me awake.

"I haven't gotten my werewolf form yet" I said looking away in shame.

"Wow, see I know werewolf do normally have their first transformation at age ten to twelve. And how old are you again?"

"Twenty six and I didn't create myself. Do you know how humiliated I am whenever I see others running around in their werewolf form?"

"I don't know and i don't care but I do know am done listening to your lies. You are coming with me, from today you are my prisoner"

"No, I need to go home. My mum will be worried sick, I can't go with you. Just let me go, I have given you and answered every question you asked "

"You are coming with me, dead or alive choose one" What have I gotten myself into?

"Fine, I will come with you"

"Nice decision, move" he commanded and I followed.

We walked for hours and I was getting tired. I was too scared to ask the big beast beside me to give me a break.

Where is Tasha when I needed her the most. I have never seen a werewolf as huge as the one beside me. I barely see his face whenever he is up close.

Am I really stuck with him? I need to find my escape. He was in that cave for a reason and he said he has been in there for a thousand years.

"Excuse me, ahhh what should I call you?" I asked trying hard to hide my fear.

"Everyone calls me Bardulf" he replied and walked passed me. I remembered his warning about keeping up so I ran towards him.

"Can I also call you that?"

"Do you have any other name in mind?" He asked looking at me.

"No, Bardulf is fine. But am very tasty and hungry, I need food and rest. I don't think I can continue walking"

"Fair enough, we will stop and get you some water and food"

"Thank you, by the way my name is Elena" I told him but he ignored me and walked into a near by market.

I wonder if I scream will someone come rescue me?

"Don't even think about escaping or calling people's attention. I can kill every single werewolf in this Market in a little space"

He whispered in my ears, his voice sent a shiver down my spine.

"And if you run, I will find you, kill you and all your family. I wasn't locked inside that cave for nothing. Be a good girl until I return"

I felt like crying, Tasha please save me. I really don't know what I have done to deserve this.

Bardulf's POV

My words really worked on her and am glad. Something is off about her and I must figure it out. And besides I need people powerful around me if I want to fight this battle.

If am lucky she will be of big help to me. I can't believe am stuck in my wolf body for a thousand years now.

I can't seem to change back to my human form. If she was not lying about being a werewolf why can't she have her first transformation?

The moon goddess is trying to play with me. Elena, even her name sounds familiar. Let's found out what you can do.

Lupita's POV

"She is not yet back?"

"No. Tasha am worried, you know how Elena is. She is very naive and she doesn't know much outside this palace"

"She will be fine, and will come back. Is time we stop interfering with her life. She was born for this, and I know she is on the right path"

"I hope so too"

Elena's POV

After dragging me all the way to this palace sitting in the middle of nowhere he had me locked up?

What have I done to deserve this?

Was I born with misfortune? I angrily took the necklace off and threw it across the room. Just then she appeared, I haven't seen her in years.

"Why did you bring me here?"

"Because this is the path for you Elena, you must stick to it"

"I don't want to, I just want to have a normal life like every other werewolf would"

"You don't really have a choice. It all started from the beginning, want to hear about it?"

"About what?"
