THE REJECTED WOLF

"You are nothing but bad luck to us white I see no reasons why Alex has refused to send you away " Barbara screamed at the top of her voice as she glared at me from the other end of the table.

I bowed my head in shame as I tried to ignore the fact that all eyes were now on me .

" Breathe, breath in and out White, I thought to myself as my hands went cold". I could hear her voice raise at higher octave as she rained curses at me .

"Calm down Barbara , let us have dinner in peace" dad said to her and she sighed in annoyance.

I hugged myself close as I bit my lower lip in an attempt to stop the sobs that threatened to escape me her son said nothing as he ate in silence he never said a word it felt like none of this was happening in his presence.

I stood up, bowed in respect and found my way out of the dinner table, this is what happens when I try to have dinner with the family Barbara has a problem that has me leaving before the end of dinner. Today it had to do with the fact that I chose eggs over raw meat she saw that had the best reason to remind me of the bad luck I brought to the family.

My name is White, funny that my father decided to name me after the color of my skin I have skin as white an snow and brown curly hair that ends just before my shoulders, my eyes as blue as the ocean I am referred to as a rare beauty in the pack but that has never brought me any form of favour infact there are times I wish I was ugly, times I wish I was just a normal werewolf like everyone else but maybe fate has never been on my side.

Everyone knew the circumstances regarding my birth, my parents found each other early but were never given the joy of birthing their own child .

It took a few years before my mom got pregnant I was born on the night of the full moon the same day the pack got attacked and many soldiers lost their lives something that made the people of the pack see me as a wierdo worse thing was my mother didn't make it alive.

Dad remarried Barbara who had lost her mate, few years before then Barbara has never hidden the fact that she doesn't like me. Things got worse for when I did not shift on the night of my eighteenth birthday the news spread like wild fire and before you knew it I was referred to as the cursed one.

"She killed her mother"

"She doesn't have a wolf this girl is definitely cursed by the moon goddess"

The talks started as small talks while I passed by untill people no longer talked in hushed voices they made sure I was listening anytime they said those words to hurt me .

I am nineteen years old and currently in my final year in highschool I am from the Red blood pack one of the most strongest packs in the whole werewolf realm.

Our Alpha is considered the Alpha of all Alpha's due to his success, the pack has not had any major attacks since his reign as Alpha.

"Hey sugar, what are you thinking about ? I have been waiting for you for hours girl " I heard a familiar voice immediately I stepped out of the house and a smile graced my lips.

"Liam" I said in excitement as I engulfed him in a bone crushing hug.

"I can't breathe" he said making me release him from the hug .

"I am sorry, I just couldn't handle the excitement thank God you are back " I said and he chuckled as he raised his imaginary collar.

"I knew you couldn't handle my absence for long how have things been around here ?" he asked as we took a walk together.

Liam and I have been friends since childhood he came out of his closet recently and things have not really been easy for him reasons why we can relate about the feeling of been considered weird.

"Things have not been easy Liam, Barbara has one reason or the other to tear down my confidence and everything about me "I said sadly and he sighed.

"That stepmother of yours need someone to bite her nose off or something she is way too evil for my liking" he said snapping his fingers and I chuckled.

"White don't let her pull you or your dreams down everything is going to be okay" he said encouraging me which made my heart warm up.

Liam is an Omega having the opportunity to work as a servant in the pack house I have never entered the pack house in my life Barbara won't even hear of me going anywhere close to the pack house, she believes I bring nothing but disgrace anywhere my face is seen. We stopped on our tracks when some soldiers walked passed us hurriedly Liam and I bowed out heads immediately as they went out of sight.

"What is going on ?" I asked Liam and he sighed.

"It definitely has something to do with the Alpha you know how hard he can be " Liam said sighing.

Everyone who has heard of Alpha knew just how ruthless the man could be aside from being the strongest werewolf he could never forgive anyone for the slightest mistake .

Liam refers to him as the Devil I have never seen Alpha Damon, I don't even know what he looks like I have always lived my life under the shadows especially with the way everyone treats me like an outcast.

"I wonder what he looks like" I muttured under my breath and Liam gasped next to me.

"Trust me girl he is a fine man but definitely not someone you would wanna have anything to do with that man intimidates the leaving daylights out of people with his presence" Liam said and just like that he went on and on giving me more reasons why I was better off without knowing who Alpha Damon was or what he looks like.

"I should go back home before Barbara finds out I'm gone" I said and Liam sighed next to me.

"Not before feeling up that stomach of yours I am pretty sure you left the house without having dinner am I right or wrong? " He asked smirking.

"Fine you are right Mr know all " I said and he laughed while we had dinner together after which he walked me back to the house.

"Where are you coming from??" Dad asked immediately I stepped into the house .

I stared at my legs nervously then back at his face I opened my mouth to say something but my words failed me.

"Stay indoors White ! How many times do I need to tell you that? " He asked angrily and I stared at him without saying a single word.

"You do not have a wolf ? All you bring to us is disgrace and curses stay indoors you are only allowed to leave this house during school hours and once school hours are over, stay indoors" He bursted angrily, I nodded my head in understanding as tears rolled out of my eyes I wiped them quickly as my heart squezed with hurt.

"White" he called softly.

"Father" I muttured under my breath in hurt.

"He instructed me to go to my room and shut the door behind me. I acknowledged with a nod, taking heavy strides toward my room and closing the door firmly behind me."

"Your father gives Barbara the rights to hurt you and that is just so sad" Liam said as we walked towards our class together.

"Sometimes I wish my mom was alive Liam, maybe she would understand me better" I said letting my feelings out and he sighed softly.

"I got you girl, consider me your mother " he said and I burst out laughing .

"Awwwwwwwwn my own mom " I said teasingly as we hugged in the hallway we heard snickers of laughter from behind .

"Ignore the horny wolves they are just trying to kill our joy" Liam said and I smiled at his ability to spread positive energy.

"You are the best Liam" I said and he smiled at me then ruffled my hair.

"Liam !" I screamed as he burst out laughing.

We had a few classes together and Liam had to leave for the pack house for his shift. Immediately I got to the house i noticed something was off Barbara had big smiles on her face and my father had the same expression on his face.

"White I have good news for you" Dad said and I stared from Barbara then back to Dad .

"For me? "I asked trying my best not to repeat the question everything sounded just too suspicious.

"Yes, you have been called to serve in the pack house as an Omega" dad said and I froze on the spot.

"This is a really good opportunity to make something useful out of your life sweetheart. At least serving the Alpha will relieve this family of the disgrace you have given to us " she said sweetly like it was nothing .

"You are sending me away? " I asked as my voice broke at the edge.

"If that is the way you want to put it" Barbara said before Dad could say anything.

I stared at them without a word as my heart squeezed with hurt they were tired of me and when the opportunity to send me away came up, they decide to grab it with both hands.

"What exactly am I supposed to do at the pack house ..." I trailed .

"Serve the Alpha !" Dad said and I froze on the spot.

The same Alpha Damon that nobody had something good to say about him I felt the hair at the back of my neck rise in fear. Please when you are coming back help me tell mummy that I told dad that I didn't go to church because am stooling.

🥀 WHITE POV 🥀

"Go to your room and pack your things first thing tomorrow morning I will drop you over at the pack house" My Dad said and walked towards his room Barbara smirked in my direction as she catwalked towards the store room.

The pack house?? How would I even survive there ? I had no wolf and I am considered as nothing but an ill luck and a weakling, What if I mess things up and end up in trouble ? I ignored the negative thoughts and went straight to my room I forgot to have dinner and slept off with the tension in my mind.

I woke up quiet early the next morning to get ready for my movement to the pack house . Thinking of about it now, I realized I did not have anything to miss here Barbara had made my stay horrible and it is not like I had any sibling relationship with her son Jake.

"Do not disgrace us there White if possible do not show your face to Alpha" Barbara said immediately I got down with my bag .

"I am sure she knows the consequences of coming back to this house with negative report " Dad threatened me as he walked in front .

I have never experienced fatherly love from my Dad, maybe it has something to do with the fact that my mom died while giving birth to me. He got into his truck and I got into the seat next to him as I stared at everywhere else but him .

My eyes trailed the green trees and people that walked around the pack. The Red blood pack is considered one of the strongest and most beautiful packs in the werewolf realm . It's not like I have ever been to another pack , but that is what I have heard from those who have dared to leave the pack. I haven't thought of leaving the pack before, according to the books I have read the world outside was too dangerous to venture into especially the land of the humans, humans were considered as smart and wicked creatures who should not know about the existence of werewolves. I have heard of human hunters visiting the wildest part to kill our animals and cause trouble.

People think I am human since I don't have a wolf Liam says I do not smell like a human. Maybe just maybe I will shift on my 28th birthday, I just wish it happens.

"Remember everything I told you White, do not show yourself to the Alpha, do exactly as you are told and bring honour to our family" Dad's gruff voice reached my ears and I gave a nod without saying anything in reply.

"White" he called in annoyance.

"Yes father" I muttered under my breath and he focused on driving. We got to the pack house and it had quiet a distance from the rest of the pack.

"Get down" Dad said and I got down from the truck and held my bag close to my body as my eyes looked around.

Whoever called this place a pack house ? This was no house, it looked more like a mansion .

"Who are you" one of the huge an arrogant looking guards asked immediately we got to the entrance.

"My daughter was asked to come to the pack house, she is part of the new Omegas" Dad said and the man looked at me in disgust. I knew it had something to do with the color of my skin or the fact that I was white I rubbed my arms nervously as I waited for what he had to say.

"You may leave, I will take her in "he said to dad who bowed and left without taking a second glance in my direction.

"You look too weak to work in the pack house " he said in disgust as he watched me keenly, I stared at my feet anxiously waiting for the next move. Another guy appeared immediately making me realize the guard standing in front of me must have mind linked with him or something.

"She is one of the new Omegas, you know what to do " he said and the guy gestured for me to go with him .

With each step we took together my heart beat crazily against my chest I knew he could hear it because he kept glancing in my direction. We got into a big hall and I realized there were other werewolves present I guess they are the new Omegas .

"Join them quietly " he said and stood with both hands behind him .

I walked quietly and stood next to them, the girl standing next to me shifted immediately. I guess she knows something about me from the pack I mean who doesn't know about the cursed one with skin as white as snow, the beautiful girl with no wolf.

The huge doors opened and a middle aged woman walked through the doors she looked arrogant and tough, her hair was tied in a bun with two sticks pinned neatly she wore a uniform that shows she was superior .

"Welcome to the pack house. My name is Elise the head Omegas walking in the pack house " she said as her smart eyes raked each and everyone of us .

"As an Omega we are the servants who work in the pack house we do the chores and run errands for our masters and most importantly making sure there are no mistakes" She said and coldness ran through my spine.

"You must have heard of the Alpha and how much he hates clumsiness and weak people " she said as she walked in front of us .

"I will be assigning you to different parts of the pack house after I have read our rules to you all..." she said and stopped in front of me .

"You are not permitted to leave the pack house unless you have a permit, Do not look into the eyes of the Alpha, that includes his mother and members of his family".

"Do not talk until you are asked to " she went on and on with the rules and regulations .

She brought out a list and just like that each and everyone in the hall was assigned to work in different parts of the pack house accept from me I watched in confusion.

"Miss ... I have... " I trailed and she raised her hands cutting me off .

"Why do you smell different ? "She asked immediately everyone left her eyes raked my body then back to my face.

"I do not have a wolf yet " I said and she stared at me without a definite expression on her face. Okay, I guess this is where I get thrown out of the pack house.

"Are you human ? "She asked roughly.

" I am not, both my parents are werewolves " I said and she fell silent for a while.

"Weird, my eyes are on you " she said making the hairs at the back of my neck stand in fear.

"I can't assign you to any place yet not until I figure out what you are, you are definitely not one of us " she said making my heart squeeze in hurt .

"Follow me" she said and I walked next to her, holding my bag firmly .

She showed me to a room at the extreme end of the pack house I knew in my guts the this was not where the other Omegas stayed, I guess she doesn't trust me enough to let me mingle with the others .

I didn't even get the opportunity to ask her If I was permitted to continue with school now that I work for the Alpha.

I sat down on the bed and sighed softly setting my clothes in the wardrobe at the opposite side of the room, I decided to go out and at least get a view of what the pack house looks like.

"Sugar !" I heard Liam's excited voice and froze immediately.

"Liam are you trying to get the both of us in trouble?" I asked with both eyes wide open.

"Oh sorry, I just couldn't control myself when I heard you were in the pack house as an Omega " he said almost jumping I excitement.

" How did the news even get to you ? " I asked and he laughed.

"Everyone was talking about the girl as white as snow I even heard some someone refer to you as the girl without a wolf I guess she knows you from the pack " he said and I sighed .

"I am probably the wierdo of the pack house now " I said and he waved his hands .

"Do not let your Insecurities get the better of you, not having a wolf is not the worse thing to happen to you some people do not have a heart , like the Alpha " he said and I gasped .

"Liam " I said in horror as he burst out laughing .

"Are you trying to get the both of us in trouble ? "I asked and he chuckled .

"Awwwwwwwwn she is scared to loose her job already " he said teasingly.

"We could get our heads cut off, that is not funny "I said and he laughed .

" Fine, let me give you a tour of the pack house " he said and just like that we took a walk around the pack house .

Some of the omegas at the entrance stood immediately and everyone bowed their heads I stared at Liam who also had his head bowed and I stared at them in confusion before raising my head again.

I froze on the spot immediately as my eyes met the coldest eyes I have ever seen .

I bowed my head immediately in fear. My heart pounded crazily against my chest as I stared at my feets while playing with my fingers.

I'm dead

Why did I even look up ? I can't believe I am already in trouble this is just my first day as an Omega .

He took heavy strides towards us and I shut my eyes tight in horror, this is it, they are definitely sending me out of the pack house.

🥀 WHITE POV 🥀

My heart pounded crazily against my chest with each step he took towards us and just like that he walked passed like nothing happened I froze on the spot at the aura that came with his presence. I raised my eyes and watched the soldiers that followed him and Liam slapped my arm playfully .

"White" he said and I snapped out of my thoughts.

"Are you out of your senses ? That was the Alpha and you looked at him in the eyes " he said in disbelief.

" I .... " I trailed speechlessly .

" Be careful white,we don't want you getting into trouble, the pack house is not a friendly place a lot of things happen around here "he warned and I felt a rotten feeling at the pit of my stomach immediately he said the last word. I had it on the tip of my tongue to ask him about what he meant but held it in I just had to be really careful if I didn't want to get into trouble.

"I think I should go back to my room Liam " I said and he chuckled .

" Fine " he said and I hugged myself close as we walked back to my room together he bid me goodbye and left .

I didn't leave my room till the next morning I woke up and sent my fingers through my hair .

"Another long day ahead" I muttured under my breath as my eyes scanned the room, my eyes widened in shock when I remembered I was in the pack house as an Omega I am supposed to be working right now, not sleeping like a princess.

I got down from the bed immediately and took a quick shower walking out of my room I took quick steps towards the hallway .

I bumped into someone and froze on the spot .

"I'm sorry ... Oh my goodness "I gasped and tried to touch her but she raised her hand as she stared at me with disgust .

"Don't touch me "she said and I gave a nod as I took two steps backwards .

"You should watch were you are going before you get yourself killed " she said and I bowed my head immediately my eyes met hers, she had yellow eyes and it was quiet evidence she had some sought of power around here.

"Who are you ? " She asked, I opened my mouth to say something as my hands went cold with tension.

"She is one of the new omegas lady Morgana " I heard the voice of the woman from yesterday and I didn't know if I should sigh in relief or cry in frustration .

"An Omega should know her place around here and not bump into me like she owns the place " she spat rudely as her eyes sized me up.

" Get her away from me Elise " she spat angrily .

" Breakfast is ready lady Morgan, the Alpha demands your presence " Ma'am Elise said and she walked passed us immediately .

She had this negative energy that I couldn't help but notice she was so fast maybe it had something to do with the fact that she was a werewolf or something.

"She is one of the strongest female werewolves in the realm you should be careful White knowing how weak you are in this realm you should be mindful of every step you take that is if you want to live long " she said and I gave a nod.

" I am so sorry I was only trying to meet up with ...." I trailed .

"There is no room for escuses around here, I made that clear the first day you stepped your feet in the pack house" She said irritatedly .

" Follow me " she said and I bowed as I walked with her we got to the large kitchen and my eyes wondered around .

"Good morning ma'am Elise" a beautiful lady said walking over to us .

"Good morning Gina, White here will be assisting in the kitchen she is a clumsy one so make sure you have your eyes on her 24/7 "she said and Gina bowed in respect .

"You are so beautiful it is almost unreal you know " Gina said Immediately ma'am Elise left .

"Oh, you think so ? " I asked nervously, people rarely say that to me nowadays especially after the drama when I did not shift on my 18th birthday .

" Of cause, don't worry I got you covered I am going to give you a quick start on everything you need to know around here First of all, you have to make sure you stay far away from the Witch " She whispered the last part softly .

"Witch?" I asked cluelessly .

"That is what everyone around here calls her, we don't go around saying it to her face though " She said holding some glass plates .

"Lady Morgana is not someone you should be messing with if possible it is best you act invisible infront of her she has her minions everywhere and acts like she is married to the Alpha already " she said shaking her head in self pity.

"Are you not scared of what would happen if anyone hears you gossiping about her ? " I asked in fear.

" It takes two to gossip, we are not gossiping sweetheart I am doing the talking and you are listening " She said and I gave a nod .

"What is your name ? " She asked and I rubbed my arms .

" White " I said and she smiled .

"You were named after the color of your skin huh ? How sweet " she said and I blushed .

"We are the omegas who serve at the royal table, the table consists of the Alpha Damon, his Beta, gamma, lady Morgana, the seer cephar and his parents.

" I can tell you that half the people who seat on that table are unforgiving and ruthless I don't want you getting Into any trouble so just make sure you stick to me " She said and I gave a nod .

"Is lady Morgana the Alpha's mate ? I asked and she shook her head immediately".

"No, what part of the pack have you been leaving in? Everyone knows the Alpha has not found his mate yet, he is almost 30 and it is beginning to bring a lot of drama around here. I should keep quiet before my loud mouth gets me into trouble" she said and I think I agree with her on that.

I was curious about everything I just heard.

Why hasn't the Alpha found his mate ? Why did the pack house surround itself with so much mystery, people are not even allowed to ask questions.

I spent the whole day assisting Gina in the kitchen I was not allowed to serve the royal table on my first day, she said I still need to be prepped for a day before I join the servers .

That evening after dinner I changed into comfortable clothes and decided to take a stroll I made a mental note never to wonder into any place that will land me into trouble .

Everywhere was already quiet but that time only the wind from the forest, the sound of the night and the silent that followed. The soldiers walked around protecting the pack house, from where I stood I could see the whole of the pack even to the borders .

I wonder what lays beyond those huge walls.

Liam did not check up on me this evening, I guess he got tired from the activities of the day.

I stopped on my track when I heard voices then footsteps getting close, my eyes widened as I held my breath and sent my hand to my mouth and nose as I hid behind the large pillars .

"Send more soldiers to the borders I do not want any human hunters around if you come across any of them kill them " I heard his voice and froze on the spot .

"Yes Alpha" another male voice replied .

I prayed to the moon goddess hoping I don't get caught, What explanation would I give to the Alpha? My words will definitely fail me if I come face to face with a werewolf of that caliber.

They stopped walking and I shifted again and whimpered in pain when my feet hit something hard.

My eyes widened in shock asked I bent down immediately .

"What was that ? " I heard the Alpha's voice.

" I will check" the male voice said and I made a crying face as I prayed in silence.

" Forget it, come with me " he said and it wasn't long before everywhere went silent .

" They are gone " I said to my self and stood up immediately I took two steps forward raised my hands and did the victory dance .

I should definitely call it a night before I get into more trouble, walking towards my room I got in and lay on my bed with a smile on my face .

"What was that ? " His powerful voice came back to my mind and I turned on my bed his voice radiates with power it makes me wonder how he would sound if he is angry. Closing my eyes softly I let myself fall into deep slumber .

Run

Run

Run, I ran in the forest as blood dripped from the cut on my forehead .

" Get her " I heard the voice followed by an evil sound of laughter my heart beat crazily against my chest and my throat burned with hurt I could hear the distance cry of a wolf as it rained .

"White ! " I heard and woke up with a jerk Checking around the room I noticed there was no one but me .

" It is just a bad dream " I said to myself as I rubbed my arms nervously I was too scared to even close my eyes sitting up on my bed I bit my lower lip while sweating .

The next morning I got to the kitchen early in other to avoid any form of complain like my first day.

" It is a good thing you came out early today, you are going to join the other omegas to serve the royal table " she said and I bit my lower lip trying not to panic .

" White " she called and I gave a nod in response .

We all stood in a straight line and went behind the first person making sure there were no mistakes .

We bowed out heads the entire time, the royals were already sitted at that point and my heart beat crazily against my chest as if it would pull out at any minute .

Everyone began to serve and I walked over to the table, counting my footsteps carefully .

"You again ? " I heard lady Morgana's voice and immediately I raised my head, my hands shook in pannick making everything on my hands slip out of my grip I gasped in shock as the whole content poured on the table, some of the content splashing on the Alpha .
