THE GIFTED

in my life I had been preparing for this day , the day that I would be married off to some one I don't love , to some one that will use me as a tool of power .

I couldn't get my head right for once . I knew that it will painful and had never hoped for something like that and now my parents are giving me out in marriage to a stranger, oh no . what a day.

my parents had never cared about my feeling the will always try to let me know that prince and princess come first in kingdom before desire.

but that was for the prince and not for a princess . if a King or a prince marry for alliance and didn't like his wife , he could marry another . but for a princess , the story was different all she have to do is to satisfy the prince and if he is not okay with her, he could go and meet one of his mistress. although a prince is allowed to marry more wife and have mistress.

without thinking much , I closed my diary with a loud deep breath.

"how does it feels during the night of consumption" I asked

" my princess you don't have to be worried about that " Clare said and this time a little bit serious

without hesitation I glared at the mirror in order to see the shape of my hair .

the maiden we're taking much time to get the beauty in me. warring a golden gown with white stripes then golden hairpin in my head made me more beautiful.

looking exhausted I dismissed my maid and decided to be alone. by doing so , I decided to open the curtain of the window . it has been a while and I had been waiting for this unknown groom to come and accept my family blessings before departing to a new world.

" what's wrong darling , I have been knocking for a while? " queen asked and as well drawing the distance .

" forgive me mum I wasn't listening " I pleaded without expression and immediately turned back to the window .

looking at them , i knew my parents found true love , but why was mine different from the way of life .

" you don't have to think like that dear " Melinda said , knowing what I was thinking . " I was given out in marriage just like how you are about to be given out as well but with time I loved him more than my parents expected . you don't have to be curious in anything just know that you are going to be a queen and not just only a wife ". Melinda said with a soft time .

" mum ?"

" yes sweet heart "

" I know it is some how to ask but how was your first night of consumption ?" I asked with curiousness .

" who told you about that ?" Melinda said with curiousness and action having her face full of anger in a little bit .

" I read it from one of the book I got from the library " i lied knowing well that it was something shared between me and my maids .

" I have warned the coucher against bring in such book " Melinda said in a concern mode . ' maybe the coucher have to take the blame this time ' I thought

with her magic , my mom teleported us back to the room and immediately the King entered into the room .

" I just left here some moment's ago but didn't find you guys in it " the King said in a curious and specious manner .

" you didn't check the cottage at the back , did you?"Melinda asked knowing very well that the weren't at the cottage but because she was able to have access to his mind with in a sec ,she found out that the King didn't searched at the cottage .

" I didn't expect you to be there on the day of blessing the union " king Fred said in a polite mood .

" the prince of Prussia is here " king Fred stated as he left the room .

" that was close mum " Sophia said as she released a sign of relief . " I know dear. now you have to get ready to meet the prince of Prussia " my mum said

" but mum , how long are you going to hide this from dad?"

" as long as possible dear . you must know that your husband must not find out about your powers " Melinda stated

I was wondering what life would be for me in a different world . I wasn't ready to marry but have no choice on my own . with a snap of a finger , I moved out of the room with the help of my maid , my most trusted friends .

walking through the steps, I became curious of who this prince may look like or what does rumor say's about him even though I don't delight in gossip

out of mistake , my maid got her foot on my gown and immediately I slipped of from the stairs .

expecting my self to be on the floor , I found my self on a safe hand of a man . his hands were so cold that I could feel it from my clothe .

strengthening my self , I looked up to see who it was . who had dared touch a princess like that not that I minded , I was just curious .

looking up, my eyes met a pair of golden eyes

the eyes were mesmerising the I couldn't get my eyes of it . So beautiful

" are you alright my lady ?" the man asked

I couldn't give him a benefiting answer . who is this man , I had never seen him in the palace before . he was tall and bold with a boarded shoulder and his tall raven hair covered his back . some one could tell from his dress that he was royalty

" am ..... am fine " I answered shaking my head to get back to my self . and with a bow , he left .

" that's was a good looking man " Clare pointed out as I looked at his departure from my presence

yes of course I thought to myself a very good looking man but I am getting married so I didn't have any time to admire any one

reaching out to the door that leads to the palace but not the entrance , I gave the guard a nod to announce me and just like I had expected, I was announced .

walking through the red carpet , all eyes we're on me , looking. there faces so had mercy on me but the shouldn't blame me for that .

at last I made it to my sit beside my parents on the throne I was curious of who this man would be and all of a sudden I heard his announcement .

I was dumbfounded when i saw that young looking man coming in front of me the same man that held me on the stairs . My mouth was opened out of shocked to see him walking through the entrance. I was shocked and was pretty sure that Clare will also be so as Sonia.

coming to me, everyone went silence . I lowered my head and was expecting his arrival .

and just like I thought , he was in front of me

" can we have a dance?"

why will I Deny a dance with such handsome man but am not to decide because it was part of the transitions .

taking his hand , I went to the ball dance floor and like a lightening, the music started .

looking at him , his eyes , I felt something in my stomach like butterflies In it as if the were flying in it but it was just an illusion of beauty . I couldn't get my eyes from him. I wonder how GOD will create someone this handsome, this special .

'' you didn't introduce yourself when we first met? " I asked trying to break the silence between us

but he was right in asking back because I would have sent him to jail for claiming to be my groom .

" nothing or something in particular " I replied with a smiling face

soon the dance was over and then we went to receive my family blessing , our family blessing.
