CHAPTER 1

SOMETHING GOOD OUT OF IT ALL

"What do i do?" Kaira asked Beth, her best friend pacing back and forth in her office, she had known this day would eventually come but not this soon, she was only 20, she had hoped by the time her parents wanted to marry her off to Daniel she would have a man she would introduce them to, a man she loved and was willing to spend the rest of her life with

Not Daniel Louis, the man was the definition of a playboy for heaven's sake, maybe everyone wasn't fully aware but she was, she knew him like the back of her hand and she did not for once wish to marry a person like him.

"Well, this could be good you know, not only is Daniel your best friend but he is every woman's dream man, he is just soo handsome, soo perfect" Beth answered with a dreamy face making Kaira roll her eyes

"He might be perfect for you but not for everyone" she said

"Com'on Kiara, this shouldn't be a big deal, you could marry him and divorce him after a while, things like this are common, no need to get all worked up.

Have you even spoken to him since last Night?" Beth asked

"No, I haven't am supposed to have lunch with him" she replied finally taking her sit.

Maybe Beth was right, they could get a divorce after a while and move on with their lives, how difficult could that be?

"If that's the case then you better get to work before lunch time" Beth said standing up to leave

"Thanks for being there for me, I couldn't imagine a life without you" she said

"That's what friends are for, now get back to work"...

During lunch time, Kaira found herself waiting for Daniel at the restaurant they had agreed on

"Sorry am late" She heard him say and looked up from her phone

"Like that will change anything, now i have 30 minutes before i get back to work" she complained receiving a smile from him, he was the most unpunctual person she knew, sometimes she wondered how he was able to maintain the position of CEO for a big company

Daniel called a waiter and ordered their food

"I don't wanna marry you" she stated

"And you think i do?, you are practically my young sister" he answered with a bit of sarcasm which she decided to ignore

"Well then, I guess we are in the same boat, do you think there is a way we could make our parents abandon the idea?" She asked

"I don't think there is a chance of that happening, my parents have already announced the news to the media"

"So what do we do?, you don't expect me to just marry you?" Irritation was visible in her voice

"I don't think we have a choice, besides we could just get married and later on get a divorce" he suggested

"You know Beth and you would make a great couple" Daniel rolled his eyes at that

"That woman is a Bitch, I wonder how you don't see through it"

"Don't you dare call my best friend that" Kaira stated

"Your best friend?, then what am i? He asked, apparently for some reason, Daniel didn't like Kaira being friends with Beth and considered her a Whore of some sort which wasn't understandable cause as far as she was concerned, Beth wasn't even seeing anyone or sleeping around unlike him.

"You are my future husband" she chuckled at her own answer

"Does Samantha know?" She asked, Samantha apparently the woman Daniel was sleeping with at the moment, the public eye had kept a well detailed information about the two.

"Yes, she read it on the net and is furious with me not like i care" he answered with little emotion

"What did you tell her?" Kaira asked trying hard not to laugh, she wondered how all these other women wanted him soo much, yes he was breaktakingly handsome and charming but apart from that, he was a shameless womanizer who changed women like the clothes on his body, it was still a wonder how he had kept up with Samantha for a month now

"That i was only going to marry you for a year and then divorce you"

The waiter had now served their food and left

"Seems like a good plan, please don't tell me we will be staying with your parents after this so called marriage?"

She loved his parents since they were like second parents to her but staying with them everyday was going to be something she wasn't going to entertain

"Unfortunately,if its any good news to you, am a mummy's boy, I have always stayed with my parents and nothing is going to change that" he said in a matter of fact way, she knew Daniel all too well, she even felt stupid for asking, he was never going to grow up and move out of his parents house, things would just be complicated for her once they where married.

"I have good news for you in all this" he now said with a charming smile on his face

"What?" She asked anxious

"Once we are married, your parents are not going to have any say about your life and i am going to let you study medicine just like you have always wanted"

She almost jumped out of her seat at the exciting news, she stood up and hugged him kissing his cheeks

"You are the best Daniel" she said all too excited

"I hadn't even thought of that, I love you, you are totally the best!" She exclaimed receiving glances from people around them

"I love you too Doll" he said.

They had their lunch with small talk between them, they had agreed that after they where married, Kaira was going to inroll at the nearest university and study Medicine just as she always wanted

Back at the fashion house,she sat in her office with a smile on her face, finally something good was going to come out of this stupid marriage of theirs

She had always wanted to be a doctor, her parents had from the start been against the idea, her Father who was a business man wanted her to take over his company as a result, she had studied Business at the university, when she completed, she began to work at her mother's fashion house since her mother had been having health problems

She knew now that once she got married, she would pursue her dream of being a Doctor and her parents would have no say in the matter.

"Wow, someone seems in a good mood"she snapped out of her thoughts when Beth walked into her office

"Yes, I am, after Daniel and i get married, am going to study medicine" she said

Beth took a sit in front of her

"Really, and your parents?" she asked

"They wont have any say in that because by then I will be Mrs Louis"

For some reason,Beth didn't seem has excited as she had expected her to be

"Meaning you will only divorce Daniel after you are done with your studies, isn't that a long time for both of you to develop feelings for each other?" Beth asked

"I would never fall for Daniel get that thought out of your mind, we have everything planned out, i could go out of New york for my studies, Daniel and i wont be seeing each other and besides we would divorce anytime while am still at school, we could pin distance as the problem or Daniel could just get one of his girlfriends pregnant, and then boom, we are divorced" she explained

"Well that seems like a good idea" Beth finally said with a smile on her face.

it was indeed a good idea, one that made her smile, finally she was going to do something her heart desired, her parents were no longer going to control her, seems life was finally in her favour.

She couldn't wait to see the reaction on their faces when she would tell them that she was going to be a Doctor and they wouldn't do a thing about it, it would certainly be then that they would regret ever marrying her off to Daniel Louis.

Chapter 2

FROM MIS WILLIAMS TO MRS LOUIS

Kaira looked at her self for the hundreth time in the mirror, her palms were all sweaty,

Is this how every bride felt on their wedding day?,

She wasnt supposed to feel like this, this was after all Daniel she was marrying, it wasn't even a real marriage then why did she feel like the time she almost lost her virginity a year ago,

She was scared and nervous as hell, her mom was right beside her trying to cool her down, only if Beth was by her side but she hadn't managed to attend the wedding due to some family problems

"Honey if you don't claim down, you are going to have a heart attack" she heard her mom say

"This is all your fault, how do you except me to feel, you are marrying me off at 20 to someone i don't even love" she exclaimed panic written all over her face

"Don't be dramatic honey, your father and i only want what's best for you, you love Daniel and am sure he feels the same way about you" Mrs Williams said with a warm smile

"Yes I love Daniel as a best friend and brother not as a husband to be!" She almost yelled

"Come sit here" her mother said gesturing beside her on the bed

"Kiara, you are the only child i have, I would never make you do anything I thought would harm you, am sure you hate me and your father right now but i know ten years from now when you look back at this day, you will know that this is the best decision we have ever made for you, l love you honey you know that?"

"Oh mom" she signed hugging her tightly

"Though i disagree with everything you have just said, l love you too"

"The groom has arrived" her father annonnced peeping into the room disturbing the mother- daughter moment

"Honey you look soo beautiful" he said looking at kiara

"Thanks Dad" she said standing to hug him

"I don't believe my little girl is getting married" he said emotional

"It is your fault you know" she answered

"Oh honey don't ruin the moment" her mother scolded her

They all gave her a bare hug

"We love you honey and only want you to be happy" Mr Williams said

"Now lets go, am sure everyone is waiting for the bride" Mrs Williams added breaking the hug

"Yes"Mr Williams answered wiping a small tear that had fallen.

The church had been filled with a lot of people, from Kiara and Daniel's friends, family friends, business partners and all people from the high class, the paparazzi also wouldn't miss the grand wedding, Daniel Louis was a famous man in the business world, he was the most successful young C.E.O of one of the world's biggest company no one was going to miss his wedding.

They were now standing in front of the priest who was going to bless their marriage

"I didn't know you would look this beautiful in a wedding dress, makes me feel lucky" Daniel whispered to her ears only

Kiara whose face was covered in a veil rolled her eyes

"Shut up" she whispered back

The priest had began the holy sermon and throughout Kaira and Daniel kept on whispering to each other

"You do know i will kiss you right?" He whispered

"Am sure that makes you feel lucky" she answered though she was feeling nervous at that

"No, I feel like puking, I will be kissing my little sister" he teased

"Fuck you!" She exclaimed all to loudly making the priest clear his throat, he had definitely heard that.

After the priest was done with his sermon, they said their vows and were pronounced MR and MRS LOUIS.

"You may now kiss the bride"

Daniel uncovered Kiara's face with a evil smirk on his face

"You may record this has our first kiss in that little black book of yours" he said in a low voice, before Kiara could process what he had said, his soft lips where already on hers, she opened her month to say something when his tongue dived into her month giving her the most intense breathtaking kiss she had ever experienced

She found herself kissing him back with the same intense hunger, she had to hold unto him so she wouldn't fall.

The kiss was behold perfection

"You two should keep that for your honeymoon later" Mrs Louis said making Daniel withdraw from the kiss, they both faced the crowd in the church.

Everyone said their congratulations and it was now time for the wedding pictures, Kiara couldn't even look Daniel in the eye, has much as she enjoyed the kiss, she felt stupid for kissing him back after all he had once said it only took him a kiss to arous a woman and there she was being a victim of that

She just wanted to get this over with and get a cold shower, this was Daniel for Pete's sake, she shouldn't be feeling this way towards him

"I think you should now take a picture of the happy couple alone" Mrs Louis said

"You liked it, didn't you?" Daniel asked with a smirk on his face after they were left alone

"What do you mean?" She asked trying hard not to look at him

"You know what I mean, don't try act innocent with me" he said sounding amused, she now had to look at him

"What do you mean act innocent with me?"she asked

Sure Daniel was her best friend, but there were things unlike him that she kept to herself, like being a virgin and only waiting for the only guy she would love to take that away from her

"You acting all innocent like you didn't like the kiss, you and i both know you change boyfriends every week when you have had your full of their dick" if anything, she felt offended and angered by his statement, he thought she was sleeping around?

"You know what, fuck you!" She said irritated

"Woa, seems like someone can't wait for that part" she was about to respond in a very unholy way when their parents showed up

"The car is ready to take you to the reception venue" her mother said.

"You are being too quite which is soo unlike you" Daniel said while on the drive to the reception

" that's because my best friend doesn't know me as much as i thought he did" she answered still angry with his remark earlier

"Come on doll, you know i was joking when i said that last part about you not waiting for the sex" he said innocently

"Are you being serious right now, you know what shut up, don't talk to me until this stupid reception is over and done with" she yelled

"Doll, okay am sorry for saying that, you do know l was only joking and won't fuck you right?" He received a 'shut up before I make you' look and stopped talking, he didn't understand why she was being dramatic even on their wedding day that just seemed absurd to him...

Chapter 3

THE WEDDING NIGHT

"Oh my God am feeling soo sick" Kaira said laying down on the bed in Daniel's parents beach house.

they had just arrived in Maimi for their honeymoon

"Daniel get me some water" she said against

"Look whose now talking to me" he answered in a low voice, she hadnt been talking to him since the ride to the reception house, even when she was sick during the flight to Miami, she was still not talking to him.

Kaira always got sick during a flight so this wasn't knew to him but the fact she hadn't spoken to him in eight hours while they together, now that was something to think about

He had tried apologizing to no avail, even when he made silly jokes, the only thing he got from her was a 'shut up' look.

"Just get me the God damn water!" Kaira yelled

"Okay, no need to yell" he answered and rushed to get her some water

She murmered a thank you and drank it all when he came back with a bottle

"Are you still angry with me?" He asked when she looked a little better

"No but l wish i was" she answered truthfully, she couldn't even remember the big reason she had been angry with him in the first place, he could think all he wanted about her and still got to hell for all she cared

"Good, now am starving go and shower so we could go and grab some dinner, there is a restaurant a few meters from here"

"Okay" she answered and headed to the bathroom she was also starving from the vomiting in the plane.

"If you take more than five minutes, l will be long gone!" He yelled from the bedroom

"Shut up!" She yelled back

"You know l should add that to the list of the words you like using on me since it apparently looks like your favorite word since we got married" she was about to respond another shut up when she decided against it and kept mute.

When she was done showering,she entered the room and found it empty, she quickly changed into something appropriate from the clothes Daniel had parked in the closet,

It was always like this, him being the neat and responsible one while she didn't give a hint about things around her.

When she was done, she found Daniel in the living room waiting for her

" you should be glad am patient, no husband with a starving stomach would wait half an hour just for someone to finish taking a shower and dress up" he complained leading the way towards the door

"Take that back" she warned

"Which part?" He asked

"The husband part" she replied making him chuckle

"I won't take anything back because all of it was true, fyi you are now officially Mrs Kaira Louis" he said

"Wish all this was just a bad dream, you are the worst"

"That's why you love love me" he chuckled.

Surprisly the restaurant was up to Kaira's standard and so she didn't make a fuss about eating from there

"Am glad you like the restaurant cause trust me, l wouldn't have gone looking for somewhere else to eat with anyone empty stomach" he said after ordering their food,

He always ordered their food whenever they eat together, he seemed to know exactly what Kaira wanted that's because they liked pretty much the same things

"Who said i like this restaurant?" She asked

"Because you would have been a total bitch about everything right now" he answered, he was apparently right about that

"Am just too hungry to start making a fuss about this place" she replied, within a short while, food was placed on their table and they both began eating

"Mom thinks we are in love with each other" Kaira said making them both burst out if laughter

" that's insane" Daniel replied laughing

"I know we practically argue all the time" she added

"I knew our parents would marry us to each other since we were young, when you where born, mom told your mom that she was glad you were a girl, so their children would marry each other" Daniel said

"Wait how do you even remember that, you were barely three"

"Three with a bright mind"

"Tell that to your self"

"Daniel....Daniel Louis!" they both turned their eyes to woman calling Daniel's name

"Its Amanda johns" kaira said with a frown realizing who the woman was

"God she looks amazing" Daniel said standing up to has the woman- Amanda walked closer to their table,

The two gave each other a warm tight hug while Kaira just rolled her eyes,she did not in the least like the woman.

Amanda had been Daniel's classmate during high school, not only that but she had also been his girlfriend making kaira her rivel since she did not in any way approve of their friendship, to her, Daniel was going to leave her for Kaira making her keen on never letting that happen

"You look beautiful Amanda, more beautiful" Daniel commented

"You look more handsome your self Daniel" she answered with a smile

"Hmm" Kaira cleared her throat drawing their attention to herself

"Oh,,you are with Kaira" Amanda said sounding not too pleased

"Thought I was dead darling, well it would take more than that to separate me and Daniel cause even after death we will still be all over each other" she answered with a fake smile

"Kaira" Daniel called with warning eyes

"Oh i see you are still crazy, but anyway nice to see you again, you practically look the same" she said bringing forth her hand, kaira took it

"I will take that has a compliment" she replied

"I will go grab another chair so we could catch up"Daniel said and left them alone, Amanda ocuppied the chair had been on

"Honestly i thought i would never have to see or deal with you again Amanda" kaira said with a sly smile

"Well looks like karma is a bitch, sorry to burst your bubble darling but now that i have seen Daniel again, you will be seeing me for a very long time"

"Don't be too sure or excited about that", just then Daniel came back with an extra chair

"Would you like to order something Amanda?" He asked

"No but thank you, am just from having my dinner" she answered sweetly

"So tell me, what are you doing here in Miami?, last time i checked you where based in New york as the CEO of C.R.O.P."

"Well am just here for some..." Kaira could see right through him and what he was going to say so she cut him short

"We are here for honeymoon, you should have checked that on the Internet as well" she replied quickly making Daniel kick her foot under the table

"Honey moon?, who is the bride?," she asked trying to upset her just like old times

Daniel cleared his throat,

"Anyway, what are you doing here i thought you and your family where still in Francis" he said like he had been thinking about her, he didn't even know until Kaira had pointed it out a few years ago,he was just grateful for his memory

"Well i moved back to America two years ago after i was done with my studies, this hotel you are in is mine" she said proudly making Kaira almost choke on her food

"What's wrong Doll, thought i would never be a successful woman of your class?" She asked turning to look kaira...
