Chapter 1

THE QUEST

People could be seen running helter skelter, Avalon was in disarray, if nothing is done, Los Angeles would be affected, and in a twinkle of an eye it would get to the capital which is Carlifornia, the government had tried it's possible best to bring an end to the ongoing turmoil, employing different scientific means, but it was all futile,every one was fed up already, they just don't know were or how to go.

It looks like life was hell for them, why would evil strive so much in these certain days.

The citizens of Avalon were left to survive on their own, all hope was lost, but there was this set of people who believed all that was happening, had been recorded in time past, they believed that the solutions to the problem they are facing now, can't come out of science,they knew science has failed whofully..

They held on to this belief, which their patriachs told them.

At first they were reluctant to believe, but after much effort by science to stop this present day evil, and it didn't work, then they decided that it all depends on something more than the earth can offer, it all depends on something science and technology can't give or offer.

After much problems, loved ones be killed, business destroyed, properties worth fortunes be destroyed.

The people of Avalon decided to take the bull by the horn, to find a solution to the problem, they are going through in their land, wherether be it through science or another means they were ready to find such solution, even if it means traveling to another planet to get the solution, they were ready to do so. They were all desperate to find a solution, this desperation was found in everyone, even to the least person among them.

It got to a point that, schools made it compulsory for teachers to discuss solution skills, in school, they were so desperate to find solutions.

They even went as far as contacting their foes, for help, at this point no one mattered, only the solution mattered.

The had even sent people on assignment to study in develop countries in other to gain knowledge to combat such situations.

Everyone was sleeping in the night, then suddenly, they heard a blast, everyone sprang up to their feet, looking for safety, houses were being set on fire, humans were being killed, women ran forgetting their children.

Father ran forgetting their family members, what mattered was getting to safety first.

Those who could find safety, prayed that the place they called safety, isn't the reason for their death.

They could hear the cry of women and children, the could see the heavy smoke ascending the air.

But their tomentors, seems to grow and increase day by day.

They kept on making life unbearable for the people of Avalon, due to their mighty power, they were able to terrorize the people of Avalon.

Each time they invaded, they counted it fun, seeing humans cry and wail.

This would go on till six in the morning.

When the day dawn, people could be seen in tears, either due to death of loved ones, destruction of properties, or the bad news that flies about in the air.

This would go on every month, no month passes by without such event happening in Avalon.

It became a normal routine to them, always expecting the worst to come.

It crush every form of hope, even those in power were handicap, they knew they couldn't do anything.

Doomers, I am glad with your recent actions, I must confess that our master is happy with us. Doomers don't get carried away, there's still allot to be done, very soon, our actions and missions will be taking a new shape, we would be going beyond Avalon and if possible take over the whole country and before you know it, USA will be ours.

We must start planning and preparing for these feat, Dark sage wants global relevance and he doesn't want to slow down now.

He commends you all for doing a good job, but you have allot to do.

Now doomers, follow me as I unveil to you a mind blowing news.

What would this be? One of them asked, well you would soon find out for your self.

They journey into a dark room, as they entered, they could see humans working on a huge machine, why are humans here?

Well dark sage asked for them to be here, these ones were captured to work for us. You see that gigantic machine, it's a massive project ordered by dark sage, it's going to be instrumental for our next mission.

It's able to cause fatal damage to any location, distance is not a barrier, it can go as far as any length to get it's job done.

It has the abilities of long range bullets, it can become invisible, it has the ability to kill a thousand in just a minute.

So let's call it our mission war ship, one of them asked.

Well we need something to make it work and what is that? they all asked.

We need one thousand human bones, and precisely infants bones.

These bones are very vital for the operation of the engine, we don't really know if that one thousand bones will be enough, but if we get those one thousand, then we would know, If we need more or not.

The doomers had a short meeting, they looked for where to attack such as to get the required bones.

They decided to attack a little city in India, due to its high maternity rate.

They went back to their base, kitted up and headed for the country.

When they got there it was night already, they looked for the nearest hospital, which they located easily.

They mounted the roof of the building and waited for the mid wives to leave the room, after thirty minutes, they left, the doomers, broke the ceiling and descended into the room.

The babies in room were all asleep, the doomers, held themselves, chanted a spell and all the babies in those room disappeared.

They didn't match up the required number, they went to another hospital, looking for infants, they visited at least twenty seven hospital taking infants.

The doomers reached the hall mark of a thousand and went back to their base.

They infants were all killed and when the bones were sorted out, they got closed to fifty thousand bones.

The next day in India, there was mass loss of infant who were in the hospital, it was a disturbing news, hospital management couldn't explain the reason for the disappearance of infants.

Hospital management were sued to court, cctv footage were played, but the perpetrators were invisible, they could only see, that infants disappeared out of the rooms, without anyone taking them.

The hospitals management were pardon, because this wasn't done by humans but by supernatural means.

The machine was now up for tests, the acquired bones were used, and after five test the machine worked very effective, dear doomers it's time for you to bring the world to dark sage.

On February 18th 1991, the people of Avalon gatherd in the football field to find solutions to the problem they had.

Different suggestions were suggested, even kids were allowed to contribute, at this point no one was considered foolish or unwise, because you never can tell who had the answer to the problem.

Allot of suggestions were made, but still yet they didn't seem healthy enough to combat the current situation.

At this point everyone was frustrated, it's been six hours they were having this meeting, but they couldn't record any breakthrough.Then they decided to ask those guys who believed in what their patriachs had told them.

Before they asked them people were scared, somewhere like what does this old fool have to offer, do they even have the answer to our problem? But somehow they just had to try.

The people of Avalon asked for their opinions, but they were adamant in contributing any ideas or opinion, after much plea from the people, they gave in, it took ples from mature people and aged people before they spoke out.

The oldest person among them stood up and said;We are all aware about the ongoing incident in our land, even we having the ability of gathering in this football field, is something strange and suicidal, but nevertheless, dear people of Avalon, lets be hopeful that we find a definite answer to our problem.

Let's bear it in mind that science can't offer us the desired solution we yearn for, if we are looking for solution, we must start looking at the supernatural aspect of life or any other aspect of Life.

When he said this, there was murmur, and jesting among the crowd, while some others gave in, others faulted the opinion, because the age they lived in, never gave expression for the supernatural and they also believed that supernatural practices has gone into extinction.

The old man raised his hands, signifying a stop to the murmurs he was hearing among the crowd.Everywhere became silent and he continued his speech.

What we are going through has been long written and spoken of, in this book it's recorded that five people from us will be choosen to bring an end to our present calamiy, they will rise as our hero or should I say savior, they would stand as people who have us all at heart, they would defeat the reign of evil, light will shine again in this our world.

With canny gifts,power they would rule and bring liberty on our land.

But do bear it in mind that it won't come easy, neither will such act happen early, as I said before, this was what our grand parents believed before they died, and it's been 18 years since then, what was written hadn't seen the light of the day.

This might happen within our time or during the times to come, the old man said, but we must be patient, if it won't happen during our time, let's be rest assured that it would happen in the time of our kids.But one thing remain that this would happen.

The people of Avalon who were listening to the old man, found it so hard to believe what he was saying, but somehow through this short period in which he spoke to them, hope seemed to be reignited again in their hearts, but one thing they all asked was, who would be this five people?, and what forms of power and ability will they yield? how was it going to happen? what would be the criteria for them to be choosen?

The old man, read their minds, and laughed, he said to them; don't stress or ransack your brain on how it will happen, just let the supernatural do it's thing, but there's something we all would do, for this to be possible.

But it all depends if you all are ready to do it.There was a long period of silence in the football field,

Soon enough the word,'I am ready sir, i am ready sir", began echoing from different places and different mouths, this were the words that came out of thousands of the people in the football field.

Every one now seemed interested, the old man and his clique smiled, seeing the response from the people, what do we have to do? a tall chubby man asked.

The old man replied;go home and we assemble back here tomorrow, the task would be communicated to you all.

The people of Avalon were dissatisfied with the old man answer, but they were also glad that very soon the light at the end of the tunnel would be seen, they hurried to their home Immediately, waiting anxiously to know the task, they would perform.

THE QUEST 2

The moon gradually gave room for the sun, the people of Avalon were awaken by the melodious songs of the birds, everyone went about their daily activities, but were also anxiously waiting for evening, to know about what task they had to carry out that would guarantee freedom from long age problems, they were desperate to know how quick they could end their tears.

Kids could be seen running to catch up with the school bus, civil servant were also in a haste to catch up with the city bus, entrepreneur were seen walking towards thier business site, to recruit in some profits before the evening comes.

House wife's, mid wives went about doing their basic work, but also having in mind, the evening meeting.

At work, professional were asked to do everything with caution that day, especially the bankers and those in the line of medicine.

You could literally see and feel the tension in the air, it was also written on their faces.

Business owners weren't ready to plunge into loss or debt at all.

In the city of Avalon, it was reported that at least in twelve different High School, students during the lunch hour sat to discuss about what task the community would carry out. Even teachers sometimes chaired such discussions during classes, which lasted for hours.These also helped the kids develop an act of critical thinking.

It made them imagine things they wouldn't have.

In one of the school, there were this set of students, who came together to analyze the current happenings in the society, they were driven by the urge to be solutions provider.

During lunch hour, there were these certain students who came together, to deliberate on the issue at hand.

One was heard saying, that the government should think about relocating us to space, because being on this planet called earth wasn't giving them the peace they desired.

Another was heard saying, that the government manufactures robots and machine that would be able to attack this so called doomers.

Another suggested that, they hold a peace talk with the doomers, these kids suggested alot of crazy, funny, beautiful ideas.

They all gave suggestions based on the little knowledge they have and what they understand.

They deliberated on this topic for hours, to the extent that they had to call for those in the upper class to judge whose ideas was right or not.

A girl, suggested that they seek, special abilities to tackle the present state.

The students asked her how would they access this special abilities? She couldn't give an answer, but deep down, she was convinced that they all needed something these world can't give.

Another required that, the business moguls, captain of industry donates money to start a technological and scientific school that will focus on bringing solution to the problem facing Avalon.

In this school, the founders will be given great privileged, to explore alot, research would be at it's zenith in, she believed, in a long run, this certain idea would make Avalon not only Avalon but the world great again.

School came to a close, and students couldn't wait to get home, even inside the school buses the discussion continue, those who were trecking, were not also left out, as they walked home, the discussion continued, those who were lazy and stubborn, and always found it hard to perform house chores, decided to perform their house chores immediately they got home, so as not to be late to the evening meeting.

But on the other hand, there was still fear in the hearts of everyone, they had that feeling that they might be attacked, during the course of the meeting, because the doomers may decide to visit Earth soon, others were afraid to go, while others made up their mind to attend the meeting.

It doesn't matter where you are, when the doomers attack, they make sure, they go through the whole city of Avalon, they decided if they wanted to die, let it be they died sourcing for information to better the life of the community, than dieing sitting in the living room, when others are outside sourcing out information.

Evening finally came and the football field was filled to the brim, even kids who were below three years old, protested to their parents to take them along, they didn't want to be left out.

Though they had no idea, but since almost everyone was going there, they also thought it mindful to go with others.

They all waited for the old man and his clique, but it didn't seem they would show up.

They waited for extra three hours, they still didn't show up.

Everyone was getting pissed already, people could be seen asking questions, was the meeting cancelled?was it rescheduled? people kept on asking questions.

The old man named Magog wasn't really going to come, he wasn't even part of the community.

He was sent by the Elders of Light.He came to stir hope in the heart of men and women.

He didn't come to give them solutions, he was to prepare the way for the next events that would be happening.

The Elders of Light, looked at Avalon and saw they needed help, they decided to send one of their trustworthy and reliable servant who was Magog.

Magog was chosen, to live among the people of Avalon, it was all planned, that on a particular day the people of Avalon would have a meeting.

He would use that opportunity to fulfill his mission.

Though it won't be easy at all, he just had to obey.

During Magog mission he found out more about the genesis of everything.

Magog asked different questions from the Elder of light.

They never thought of hoarding any information from him.

Magog, at first was reluctant to go, but later he changed his mind and decided to come.

One of the other things that bothered Magog was him, turning into a book, till the five chosen ones come in contact to the book.

He also rejected the act of him training and making kids utilize their power and potentials.

When Magog came into the land of Avalon, he first transformed into a young man, but he knew being a young man won't make accomplished his mission.

Magog, decided to change into an old man and then promised to get engaged in the community activities.

Days and years went by, what Magog desire of the people of Avalon, he wasn't seeing it.

Even after the period of the Doomers attack, they never felt worries until this last year that the community woke up from their slumber.

When the attack, started becoming intense and consistent, the People of Avalon woke up to find solutions.

Magog saw this as an act of fulfilling his mission, he waited patiently for the gathering of the people and admist their fears and tears, Magog was happy that he would soon fulfill his mission.

Before the day of the meeting, Magog had prepared everywhere, like someone traveling to his house.

He was so glad that soon the first phase of his mission would soon be done.

But after restoring a little atom of hope in the heart of the people, without having a proper plan, he had to fulfill the other option, which was to transform into a book.

This was one of the part he detested, he couldn't understand why he would be a book for a good number of year's, until the appointed kids, who were selected by fate, should be at the same place also at the whole time.

Nobody was aware of how such thing would happen, but Magog himself wished that such thing happened fast.

After the speech yesterday, Magog knew his stay was limited, he had to wish for the next day to come early.

This were the reason why Magog didn't come, because at the time, whereby the meeting was going on.

Magog had transform into an ancient book. Waiting for SARDS to cross paths.

An old man stood up to address the crowd, everyone knew it wasn't the old man who spoke yesterday. The man moved to the middle, so everyone could hear him.

He said;we are all gathered here to know our fate,or better still to get acquainted with what task we are to do, for the supernatural act to begin, true or false?there was a loud yessss.

He raised his hands and everywhere was silent,he continued, but I have got something to tell you all.

You bard old man, what f**king thing, do you have to tell us?we are tired of hearing bu*l sh*t, we have no idea about what the old man of yesterday intend to tell us, you are here saying you have something to say, please fu*k off,a teenage boy said. Fu*k off others chanted also.

The old man, being an elderly man, wanted to still ignite the fire of hope, in the life of the people of Avalon.

The old man stood his ground and didn't bulge, a thin fragile hand went up in the air, the crowd went silent immediately when they saw the hand lifted up in the air, it was a young lady who just got married last week.

She stood up to speak;at least let's hear this man out, we don't even know what he has to say, what if he was sent by the old man of yesterday? so please let's hear him out.

You know, the present things happening in our land is strange. Let's try to pay rapid attention to the speech of the old man.

There was silence in the field,the old man continued.

I came here to inform you that the person whom you are waiting for as embarked on a journey of no return, what do you mean?a dark man asked. All I am trying to say is that he is dead.

Dead! the crowd chorused, how come?how possible? when? where? this were the questions flying in the air.

Now they were back to point zero, all hope were lost ,no one knew what instructions he was to give them not even his clique.

But there's something we can do, don't give up yet, there is still hope, if we can find the BOOK this old man and his patriachs read from, I think we can get a clue on what he wanted to tell us, the old man said.

And how do we know that old man was not playing a prank on us?a young boy stood up to ask. Nice questions kid, if we find the book, then all what he said to us is real, but if we can't find it, we consider all he said as a fairy tale.

And how do we find this book? an old woman asked, we go to where he lives and do a thorough search.

Won't it be a crime to invade a man house without receiving a go ahead from the Police? A little girl asked.

Hmmmm,.that's clever, I will suggest that some of us go to the police station and inform them about what we want to do and see if they can give us a check warrant on the late man building.

I believe that would be the best thing to do.

Who is willing to go to the station for us? The old man asked, six hands went up Immediately, he asked them to stand, which they did and the crowd gave them a resounding clap.

The six of you standing would go to the station tomorrow morning, and by noon we launch into this quest of searching for this so called ancient book, because I believe by that time you would have obtained a search warrant.

Remember, we all are depending on you, please don't fail us. When the six of you return, come straight to my house, so we can start the search immediately.

Remember the earlier we get through with this, the better for us, let me remind you, we are working as a team not as an individual.

HOPE?

Everyone were eager to know the outcome of what went down in the afternoon.

People could be heard asking what happened? Did they find the book? Are they back yet? Were they successful? Hope nothing bad happened to them.

All this question would be answered when they meet in the evening, people blood pressure had sky rocket high, heart beat has increased beyond the normal rate, waiting for the outcome of the meeting in the evening.

The people of Avalon couldn't wait for evening, if they had a way of fast forwarding the time, they won't hesitate in doing so, they wanted to know their fate as soon as possible, some even wished they could see what would take place in the evening before the evening even comes.

The long wait was over, their fate would be known soon, they would tell if the future would be great, would it remain the same, what actions were they going to carry out.

Evening finally came and the field was filled up as speculated, you could find all class of people there, the rich and poor, old and young, tall and short, professionals, literate and illiterate, all class of people and caliber.

People barely had sit to seat, if not for individual who decided to control the crowd, there would had been stampede.

Everyone seems to be looking for the old man, their eyes scanned round the crowd looking for the old man.

The old man hesitated for a while, he himself wasn't ready to share the news, he wasn't happy with what he had to tell the people, but he had no choice, he decided to still wait a while.

When he saw that the people were too inquisitive looking for him, questions were being raised, it almost led to pandemonium.

The old man, had no choice but to stand up, he stood up and marched to the middle of the field, as he walked down to the middle, everywhere went mute, you could feel the tension in the air, this tension could be cut with a knife.

On the other hand, this brought relief to allot of people, because he showed up, when he got to the middle of the field, he stopped, he mounted the wood that was placed there for the speaker, when he was already on top, he looked at the thousands of heads on the field, young and old, rich and poor, he got emotional, but he had to behave brave and smart, he looked at the number of people who came just to get solution to their problems, normally in a normal setting, some of the people sitting or even standing wouldn't want to have anything to do with the people beside them, but this is fate, this is what dilemma and problem can cause.

He inhaled a deep breath before speaking, the field was even more quiet than a grave yard, If silence was a sound, this would be the real definition, many people heart beat had increase already, while others were afraid because they didn't see any book in his hands, they remembered what he said about the book, but now they couldn't find any book in his hands, others were still eager to hear what he had to say.

The old man said;Dear citizens of the United States of America, who resides in the state of California, in the city of Los Angeles, living in Avalon, I have good news and bad news.Which one do I say first? he asked.

This made everywhere lousy, others wanted the good news first while it was vice versa for others. He decided to share the bad news first, at least they would leave here with some positive energy.

He raised his hands and everywhere became silent.

Outside, there was a loud bang, this made people inside afraid. People could be seen running helter skelter,the smell of blood filled the atmosphere.

The two drivers, weren't themselves, this incident or accident took a great toil on them.

The glass of both vehicles, were broken, some people sustained injury while others didn't sustain any injury.

They believe it was the doomers at work, there was no way two vehicles in the opposite directions, would just intentionally reverse back and collide with each other.

Both drivers knew that the vehicles weren't under their control, an external force was in control of the vehicles, the little, they could do, was to wish themselves safety, those who could jump out did, while those who could not, were engaged in the accident, but as this went on, they noticed that the people who died, seem not have any form of bone in them, in as much as they die, the bones in their body system seem to disappear. This was really scaring, it gave the health workers an heck of problem.

Doomers, the machine is already working but we do need an upgrade, we need the bones of adult not teenagers or kids.

We need it for the machine to be more effective.

Dark sage had ordered that the bones be gotten today, I don't know, how you guys are going to do so, but Dark Sage believe you can.

I don't know which city you want to start from, but I do recommend that before you start your work, cause a major distraction, and immediately attack.

We need 10,000,000 bones.

That's really huge, how do we go about this, one of them asked.

I got an idea, let's start with Avalon, if this plan pull through, then we can commence to do so in other cities, what's the plan they all asked.

Two invisible personalities could be seen on the air, they were chanting and immediately two huge buses who had a large amount of passengers in the opposite lane with a distance difference of 7 km, started reversing backwards, there was commotion in the two different buses, the drivers were shocked at what was going on, even other motorist were shocked at this sight, and the next thing everyone heard was a loud bang, the two buses had collided with each other with human blood flowing on the soil.

The other invisible personality on the air descended down immediately and pointed his fingers to those who were dead and immediately the bones in their body disappeared, it was recorded that almost fourteen passengers died and their bones were all missing.

With this successful plans, the doomers planned to reciprocate it, in all continents, so as to meet up with the 10,000,000 million bones request.

As the people of Avalon were mourning what had just happened, a similar incident occured again not too far from where the first one had happened, this time around it was two big trucks conveying gas, this two heavy duties truck traveling in the opposite lanes, reversed and there was a great explosion, the death recorded was about five hundred above, the medical team were confused, they didn't know what to do, they were not through, with the first case now a more greater one, had just happened.

They had to call for help from both private hospitals, and nearby cities.

Everyone that died had their bones taken away, this act was very strange.

The doomers continue this awful act in Avalon before going to other places to reciprocate such deadly act.

That day, the world recorded a high number of death rate, due to different road accidents all over the world.

The doomers after going round the continent were able to acquire 800,00 bones the margin was too wide.

They had to strike again, they started from Avalon, now they decided to focus on building, especially skyscraper, they would cause a huge building to collapse and take the bones of the humans that had died, they continue using different strategy to hunt for human bones, they were not willing to back down untill they had completed the task, there was pandemonium all over the world.

The world leaders had to call for an emergency meeting, to address the current situation in the world, they didn't know how it usually happens and those who were perpetrating such an act, some of the world leaders refuse to show up, since the cause and the perpetrators were not known, through out the whole world, there was death, horror, it was a black day.

People who died because of fear were more, they were not spared, their bones were also taken by the doomers, they were determine to fulfill this mission.

Everyone was afraid, especially the people of Avalon.

Those in the field were afraid of what next could happen to them, but it would be an honor to die, in seeking solutions to the city probelm.

Great people of Avalon, let's have a minute silence for all those who had died all over the world. There was silence for the space of ten minutes.

The terrible incidents we are facing continues, the worst is yet to come, what the old man said about the supernatural won't take place in our time, yes you heard me loud and clear, it won't happen in our time, let's brace up ourselves that we are not that generation, but be comforted that it will come to pass.

Now the good news, he delayed for a while before saying it.

Heart beat increased, their life depended on such news. He finally spoke.

The good news is that very very very soon, soon enough, we would all die soon.

And what do you mean by that? A woman asked.

I mean that this our present generation would be wiped off soon

only few will survive, after such event a new breed will rise, that would live the life of the supernatural. Science, even the world will fight them, but they will overcome.

They will defeat the "Doomers" and make the world at large a safe and better place.

The old man asked for the book, a young boy ran quickly to get the book, few minutes later the boy came back running with a big brown book.He collected the book and raised it up in the air for everyone to see.

He also promise to take the book to the town library, so anyone in the town can get access to it, though it would be heavily guarded.

Nobody said a word, everyone was mute and astonished about the good news. They were all thinking about their lives, who would die first and who were those that were going to survive. Some were engrossed in their thoughts about who this Doomers were and for what reason would they decide to face the chosen five.

Students, those were the event that were recorded in the year 1991, though not all events were written, but researchers believe this were one of the important event that happened during the year 1991.

The book you are seeing in that exhibition galss, at the far end on your left, is the book the old man promised to put in the library.

Remember students, please do me a favor not to destroy or touch anything in this museum, CCTV cameras are on site, so be careful, because there's no way you can hide any of your evil deeds.

Do stay here, while I go find the museum tour guard, remember students don't touch anything, you can only look and gaze, but for touching it's a no go area.

The students spent two hours in the museum, learning new things and getting acquainted to past events.

After three days of the visit at the museum, the High school principal received a call from the museum manager, that something just happened, she also needs to report to the museum immediately, so as to save the image and name of this high school.

She was scared, what could had gone wrong, was it because of her students who visited the museum or was it a frame work or a mixed up somewhere?

She kept on pondering on these questions with fear in her heart.
