Chapter 1 1-Surprised To See Him

Jaya stood within the elegant grand event room, her eyes scanning the space, uncomfortable and embarrassed, her teeth clenched on her soft lower lip as she waited. the boys approached her again and again, their gentle smiles barely concealed the lustful look in their eyes as they tried to speak to her, and everybody had to grant up as she ignored their skilled approach line. Glancing at her watch, belly tight knots of nerves and tension as she waits - waiting to work out someone with the most power over the longer term of her family's future.

The movement on stage finally foreshadowed the highlight of the night, a keynote address by the CEO and major shareholder of Pearl X Incorporated, who she had come to meet that night. Jaya studied the head of the Pearl Empire, an older, dignified man whose online photos depict a handsome and distinguished man in his fifties, and that night her eyes kept scanning him, hoping to talk to him before his speech.

The host walking forward drew her attention to the stage again as she opened the presentation, giving a brief overview of the CEO's history and his many accomplishments. Jaya wasn't listening, she looked around the side of the stage, a small frown on her smooth forehead. Taking a step back, she took a deep breath, not focusing on the people around her, and bumped into the arms of a man walking somewhere.

She turned around quickly with an apology on her pretty face and noticed that the man stretched out a steady hand, his fingers warmly wrapped around her arm, his handsome face bowed his head and smiled at her, and replied softly with an apology, his voice was deep And emotional. She watched his eyes slide off her with interest, admiring the stunning woman in front of her before reaching her lovely face. His expression changed, and there was a trace of confusion in the darkest eyes she had ever seen.

Familiar eyes, she stared at him in shock and disbelief. "Alfonzo?" The barely audible soft name escaped from her shocked lips when he looked back more closely, his warm eyes cold and hard as he finally recognized him. "Oh, Jaya!" The speaker finished his introduction, her name bitten off contemptuously, Jaya barely heard his voice, and she looked back at the man she had known years ago.

"So please lend a hand to Mr. Alfonzo Peralta, CEO of Pearl X Incorporation." Spontaneous applause broke the bewildering way the two stared at each other. He looked away from her, stiffened, walked forward, and quickly climbed the steps beside the stage. Jaya stood dumbfounded as she watched Alfonzo-a man she used to call Peralta dog-but in a group, she felt disgusted when the partygoer took his rightful place in front of him.

She raised a trembling hand to her forehead, feeling the frustration welling up in her heart, knowing that it was all over and her family's last hope had been dashed. She swallowed hard, holding back the tears that burned at the corners of her eyes. They were doomed, with no salvation in the hands of the man who started his speech with panther-like grace and confidence after speaking to one of his security guards, Jaya once again lowered a shocked gaze at his amazing body.

She took her eyes away from him with a definite movement, turned resolutely, and the frustration weighed heavily on her, and she squeezed through the large crowd that swarmed up to listen to the great man's talk. Jaya needs to get out of there, as far as possible between her and Alfonzo.

Arriving at the door, she witnessed the security guard he was talking to walk up to her, blocking her way, with an ominous attitude, speaking to her politely and firmly. "Mr. Alfonzo wants you to wait in his private office."

Jaya shook her head firmly, refusing to be intimidated by the tall man, and reached for the door. "I don't think so. Please tell Mr. Peralta that I politely declined his offer," the security guard continued, the barely perceptible slight twitching of his lips the only real indication he heard her. "I was told that if you feel that way, you can say to you goodbye to Cabrera Manufacturing.

The two words made her stunned in place, her eyes rolled, and she stared at the man on the stage in disbelief. A short video was playing, and everyone was watching, his eyes only fell on her, his eyes were interlaced, and his expression was firm and cold. Jaya felt the pain hug over her.

He knows.

He knows everything. Taking her eyes off him, her shoulders drooping in defeat, she nodded to the security guard, her gesture and expression of acknowledging surrender, letting the door close, then walking from behind the security guard to the other entrance, the voice of the speech disappeared when she was taken to the elevator.

She felt sick as they made their way up the marbled elevator. She has always believed that if she could find the CEO of Pearl X on her own and talk to him about her problems, and she could buy some time for the family, the billionaire would understand and support the family.

However, that hope was dashed the moment she found out who the current head was. Alfonzo Peralta would be more than happy to destroy them, the cold gripping every part of her.

The slamming of the elevator doors heralding their arrival brought her thoughts back, and she followed the guards with her head held high, suddenly realizing that they were on the top floor of an upscale five-star hotel. The door opened, and she had been led into the spacious penthouse suite, staring at the surrounding environment in amazement, knowing that this was his private suite, the room he lived in, this realization made her even more uncomfortable.

Entering what appears to be a study, the guards let her go for a drink before going out, the only sound is the click of the front door, leaving Jaya alone, alone with her mind and the ghosts of her past. Finally, she settled into the large, stuffed leather armchair, her head buried in her hands, and memories of the past flooded in.

Chapter 2 2-Struggle For Control

Entering what appears to be a study, the guards let her go for a drink before going out, the only sound is the click of the front door, leaving Jaya alone, alone with her mind and the ghosts of her past. Finally, she settled into the large, stuffed leather armchair, her head buried in her hands, and memories of the past flooded in.

Five years ago, Jaya was 19. A college student, she spent the summer working in the main office of her late grandfather's manufacturing company. She was shy and embarrassed by her looks, her older sister often made fun of her braces, curly thick hair, and too skinny body, and she kept silent. Her older twin sister, Jara, was the exact opposite.

Older, working in an office full-time, and not wanting to go to college, she is gregarious, her amazing figure and long auburn hair, and good looks make her popular with many contractors who will pass through. Nowhere is this more important than Arzen Valencia, the owner of small clothing business.

While Jara was initially interested in Arzen, Jaya didn't like the man and wasn't quite sure what exactly he was making her uncomfortable, but the arrival of the gorgeous and dangerous Alfonzo Peralta soon turned her sister's any other man was wiped from her mind.

Jaya was embarrassed to see Jara pounce on the builder so blatantly and was called in to help with some issues that required a more professional contractor. He is a hard worker and his ideas and solutions are a godsend for the projects he is working on no one appreciates her more than Jaya because she pleases him and every time he shows up in the office her eyes are all full of hope.

However, he has always been polite and distant towards her sister, often choosing to deal with Jaya. She was always nervous about this handsome man, who was older than her-he was in his twenties at the time. She doesn't know what to say or do when he smiles so warmly at her, his dark eyes staring at her big brown eyes, which she hides behind reasonable glasses, this is her in the office The computer you need when you work in the office, that's all the time in the office.

Two months after the contract was signed, the money was a gone-a lot of money. A search of the lockers found some, the serial numbers are given to them by the bank, along with the keys to her grandfather's office and a safety deposit box, hidden in a hidden compartment of his locker.

Her grandfather was angry. Not a man who put up with betrayal, she went to great lengths to convince him not to call the police there and then arrest Alfonzo. Jaya, however, never felt he stole the money and defended him for hours, only gaining her grandfather's backing after telling him it might cause a scandal.

Her family was the mainstay of the conservative and legitimate establishment in the region, and her grandfather was always careful about his family's image in the eyes of these dull judges. He forced Jaya to be the one who fired Alfonzo, which was his way of punishing her for taking another side. After that, she never forgot the shock on his handsome face and his anger when he claimed his innocence.

However, she firmly told him that if he didn't leave then they would involve the police. Alfonzo welcomed the police intervention until she explained the evidence against him, remembering his mouth so angrily pursed into a line, his eyes flashing with icy rage when he announced he had been framed. Although she secretly agreed with him, she said nothing because she knew the police were very supportive of her grandfather and she feared he would not get a fair trial.

Lifting her head, she hummed softly. The last words he said to her were that he would make them pay, and one day her whole family would pay for that day, and his soft tone, with a hint of so manly accent, added to the intensity of his statement. She curled her lips sarcastically, knowing that the day had finally come. Alfonzo would take revenge and her family would be destroyed.

Walking to the wine table, she poured herself a glass of plain vodka and drank it, gasping for breath as the spirit burned in her throat. No one usually drinks. She felt that she needed something to calm her down, and as she waited for the axe to fall, her whole body trembled, and every second made her terrified.

He still holds a grudge against her family, as can be seen from his indifferent expression when they meet, and she realizes that she "invited" him to wear his suit. There was a horrifying laugh in her heart when she was afraid of him coming back. The situation seemed "destined to happen," she thought. Five years ago, she was the one who punished the man who would soon enjoy a worse punishment for her.

Back in her seat, she stumbles across the maxi dress she borrowed so she can attend the evening's events. She wanted to kick off those uncomfortable stilettos but knew that when he finally showed up, she needed to be as tall as possible to face him. Sitting down, she waited, waiting for nearly an hour, each minute pulling her already tense nerves tighter and tighter, on the verge of collapsing.

With the sound of the door being opened, she jumped up and turned to face the man who came in. His posture was relaxed and firm, and her stiffness was rolled up by the tension that filled her. "Why did you let your trained thugs bring me here?" she asked, her voice higher and harsher than she expected, her attempt to sound calm and calm even on her failures in the ears.

Alfonzo raised his eyebrows sarcastically and walked to the wine table. "I think we all know why you agreed to come to this room," he said evenly, as he tossed some ice cubes into two glasses, then poured whiskey into one, vodka, and fresh mangos into the other. As he did, Jaya struggled to control her breathing, her heart beating erratically in her chest, her eyes on his every sure move. Under her lashes, she let her gaze admire him.

Chapter 3 3-Do What I Say

Alfonzo had always been handsome, but in a tuxedo, its darkness only accentuated his good looks. His tall, broad-shouldered, slender-hipped figure fills the outfit so well, that he's devastating. His slightly messy hair was shorter than usual but still thick and shiny, and the front still seemed to defy his will to make it sit perfectly.

Recalling the countless times when she was young made her want to reach out and touch it, realizing she even wanted to touch him, suddenly shocked her. A shudder of consciousness passed her, she looked down in confusion, she stepped back as he walked towards her, and he shoved a pair of glasses into her trembling hands.

"If I remember correctly, this is what you used to drink." Jaya didn't speak, she nodded silently, surprised that he remembered such a little detail of her. He raised his glass, took a sip of the clear liquid, and stared at her without blinking, those cold eyes that absorbed everything from her-his predatory look, the thought made her tremble again.

She drank silently and carefully placed it on the table beside him, seeing the humor in his eyes for the first time, enjoying the discomfort she knew. He put the wine next to her and walked around her, his eyes widening up and down her body, and Jaya felt his cheeks heat from his rude scrutiny.

"So little hampster... grown up," stopped in front of her. "How did you grow up?" The innuendo in his voice was so clear that Jaya felt the tingling anger giving her the strength to stand taller. She cursed Jara for making her wear that cocktail dress she would never choose. The fabric wrapped around her and her chest sank, revealing her cleavage, her breasts gathered in the underwear her sister had chosen for her work hard not to slip.

Covering herself with her hands, she glared at him. "Don't play with me, Alfonzo. I'm here to talk to the CEO. I didn't expect it to be you." Her voice was full of the disappointment and desperation she felt. "You changed your name," she said with a reproachful tone, and he smiled slightly. "I took my father's name," he explained, leaning against the table,

Jaya didn't realize it, and she breathed a sigh of relief even if the distance between them was a little longer. "He made me feel worth it." There was incomprehensible anger in his voice. After another sip of wine, he looked at her, his eyes passing over her wonderful figure again.

"So, how on earth are you going to get the CEO of Pearl X to stop sending your twin to prison?" The question made her cheeks flinch again, and he stood up again, stroking his fingers gently over her bare arms "Because how can you be sure I won't accept the same persuasion?"

Panting with anger, she took a step back quickly, her heels were on the skirt, and she lost her balance, and his hand reached her shoulders to prevent her from falling. When she regained her balance again, he continued to hug her, his thumb lightly stroking the soft skin, and Jaya's mouth suddenly became dry. He stood, towering over her, his eyes falling on her cleavage. Trying to draw her arms from him, she felt the heat of panic rise from her stomach.

"Thanks. I'm fine." She tried to pull her arm out of his embrace, and Alfonso's fingers just poked harder into her soft flesh, his face lit up with an embarrassed smile. "Yes...I'm probably interested in that persuasion," he murmured. She let out a loud gasp as he pulled her hard against him. Jaya just barely put her arm between them, her fingers feeling the hardness of his chest, praying he wouldn't feel her heart beating wildly inside.

"Stop it," she hissed at him, her voice shaking with fear, the fear of her reaction to being so close to him rising in her. She felt his head drooping down his nose and mouth, following the long, bare curve of her neck. Jaya once again wished she hadn't been persuaded to keep her long blond hair high on her head, longing for its protection, as the shiver made her tremble and the little pulse in her throat beat alarmingly.

His light laugh on her skin only made the trembling worse, and she stared helplessly at the ceiling, her hands trying to push herself away from him, and despair began. Then just as he grabbed her, she was pushed away by him. He stepped back again, leaning casually against the table.

His eyes looked at the reaction of the woman in front of him, and the corners of his handsome mouth evoked a satisfied smile. "Still that old Jaya Cabrera huh, callous witch. Every bit of her is a daddy's girl."

Jaya struggled to stop the hot tears from spilling from behind her eyelids. She is nothing like her father. Her whole life, he has been constantly disappointed. To him, she is not as beautiful as Jara, nor as sociable. She didn't get all the right boys to come to their door to propose.

Her determination not to give up her college dream to work in a company was a decision her father scoffed at, and it was no secret that he laughed at her. She was compared to the hateful man she grew up hurt by, but she lowered her eyes and tried to hide her pain from the man in front of her. Needing more control, she finally made her eyes more severe, regained control of her emotions, and looked up at him.

"Thank you." She gritted her teeth, her tone was full of challenges, and there was a flash of danger in his eyes. She knew instinctively that he meant to walk back as soon as the walkie-talkie rang, and the voice on the other end stopped him. "The Ambassador is leaving." She saw his eyes fly from her to the walkie-talkie, frowning, he cursed in a low voice, and then his stern look fell on her again, his tone harsh and arrogant. "I have something to deal with. Wait for me."

He stood up and walked towards the door, and Jaya turned sharply, anger flashing in her eyes. "I'm not your random puppy. You've made me wait here for an hour. It seems pointless that I'm here waiting for you to enjoy humiliating me. Alfonzo stopped in front of the door and slowly turned to face her.

There was no humor in his voice, and he replied coldly: "You don't know what Miss Cabrera's real humiliation is. You've been spoiled your whole life, but if you don't want your sister to be in prison, by tomorrow night, locked in a cell, then do as I say... "Is it clear? Wait for me here!"
