THE BILLIONAIRE'S LITTLE DEVIL

Just like other days, Harold Crystal sat on an armchair in one of the Halls of his company. His right hand elbow rested on the desk, while his index fingers was pressed on his forehead.

Beside him stood a little girl of Five. She held a teddy bear in her hand playing with it's fur. The door to the Hall opened and a lady entered. She was wearing a black long pants, a black jacket and a white long sleeve under.

" Mr. Crystal, I think that is all" She dropped the files on the desk. The little girl lifted up her head, she looked at Mr. Crystal and stamped her feet on the floor.

" But we haven't chose My Nanny" Mr. Crystal sighed, he opened his closed eyes and looked at her.

" Zoey dear, none of them are qualified enough to be your Nanny" She threw the teddy bear in her hand on the floor.

" What about her?" See pointed at the lady. " Me?" The lady pointed to her chest. " Yes, You" She laughed softly.

" Come on Zoey , I'm your Daddy's Assistant and I'm not qualify enough to be your Nanny" She picked up the files.

" Mr. Crystal, I'll look in to other Applications again" She hurried out of the hall Before Mr. Crystal would have a change of Mind.

" Zoey, We'll try again next time. Daddy has a meeting now. Can you wait for Daddy in your office? I won't be long in the meeting" He touched her little face. " I want a Nanny!" Zoey threw herself on the floor and started wailing.

" But this is the fourth Audition this week and you keep saying none of them are qualified to be my Nanny" She cried. Mr. Crystal sighed, he stood up from the chair and squat in front of little Zoey.

" Zoey dear" He caressed her brown curly hair. " Daddy will choose for you a very Good Nanny. Okay?" She moved away from him. " I want a Nanny now" She cried.

Mr. Crystal sighed, Zoey has been pestering him to get her a Nanny for the past month now. He has looked in to some organizations, had an audition to pick a Good Nanny for his daughter but couldn't find anyone that suit his test.

He would have opt in for Marriage , maybe that would make Zoey stop disturbing him but Marriage wasn't on his list.

Ever since Mr. Crystal lost his dear wife a year after Zoey was born, His life wasn't the same again. He had to take care of his inner wound which was still fresh and has refused to heal and Zoey too.

Zoey wasn't helping too. There were many Ladies that worked in the house but she needed a Nanny of her own. Someone that would take care of her alone and do all the things she wanted.

" We'll hold another Audition next week. I promise I'm going to pick a Nanny for you on that day. Okay?" Zoey Nodded her head and sniffed.

" That's My girl, let's go" He lifted her up from the floor and Carried her out of the office.

" Do you want to go to the meeting with Daddy or stay in your office?" He asked her as he walked on the Corridor leading to the elevator. " My office, You know I don't like Noise. And all you do at the meeting is Make noise" Harold Giggled.

He made a turn to his right where Zoey's office was. Zoey doesn't stay at home, she always followed Harold wherever he was going. Even though he was going to another Country for Business, Zoey must go with him.

Her office has all sort of Toys you could ever think of. No one would call that an office but a play ground if not for the Desk and chairs in a corner.

The desk and chairs were her sizes. Merry go round on another corner, another desk where she did her paintings and coloring and other things. The Office also has a wardrobe where her dresses were kept too.

It was just a combination of an office, Room and a playground decorated with a pink wallpaper.

" Here we are" Harold put her down. " See you later, okay?" She nodded her head. " Don't forget to press the button if you need anything" She didn't answer him again. " Baby..." Zoey waved her hand, Telling him to leave.

He Smiled , shook his head and exited the office. That was the cold treatment he always received from Zoey whenever he didn't do what she want for her. But he was already used to it.

" Where is Jacky? Jacky!" A young lady with small statue ran out of a room. She was putting on a loose shirt , an oversized Boxers and a toothbrush hanging in her mouth.

Her Black hair was parked in a ponytail but looked so rough. She frowned when she saw the person that was yelling her name that morning.

" It's too early, Mr. Goo" She held her waist with her right hand on her waist. " Early for what?" Came Mr. Goo's Voice.

" Jacqueline, didn't you promised to give me the rent today?" She quickly put on a smiley face.

" Mr. Goo, I..." He interrupted her. " You what! I need the rent now!" He raised his voice. Jacky signaled to him to lower his voice but he didn't listen to her.

" I need the money today or you will be evicted!" He shouted at her.

" Alright, I'll bring your Money before the day runs out" She rolled her eyes. All eyes were now on them and she didn't want her neighbors to look down on her.

" You promised again. See, Everyone is here. If you don't pay today, I'll lock the door" He threw the Towel in his hand on his shoulder and Walked away.

" God!" Jacky shook her head. She patted her forehead with her palm and sighed deeply. " No one told me this was how things would turn out if I Quit my Job" She leaned on the wall helplessly, forgetting her gossip neighbors were still there.

" What! Yes you heard me right!" She yelled at them and some of them started laughing at her. " Such a young girl, you should be with your parents now" She Gasped. That wasn't the first time those people were referring to her as a young girl.

Jacky Always explained to them that she wasn't a young girl like they referred to her. She was 26 for goodness sake. But everyone kept thinking she was a 19 or 20 years. She was once declined a Job in a restaurant because the manager thought she was an 18 year old girl.

Jacky returned back to her room which was on the second floor of the building. She bolted the door and scurried inside the bathroom.

She washed up, came out tying a towel which made her look younger than when she was in the loose shirt. She checked the kitchen but there was nothing to eat.

" Not again!" She slammed the door to the kitchen Angrily. " I thought I left some bread here yesterday" She stamped her feet on the floor. " Wait a second, Brownie came here yesterday. She ate my bread?" Jacky pointed at her chest.

" That girl knows what am going through right now. I have no Money, no job and I can't go back to my parents right now. I'm in debt" She let out a crying sound.

" I must find a Job today" She clenched her fist and gripped her lower lip. " If I don't find a job today, I'll return to my parents" She made up her mind.

As soon as she stepped out of the house, a message popped up in her phone. She brought it out from her bag to check what it was.

" A reminder, uhn" She tapped on it to see what reminder it was. " An interview" She nodded her head but paused. " An interview!" She Screamed.

" I missed it already. What should I do now! Oh my God, Mr. Goo made me forget this" She cried out.

Jacky looked at the remaining change she has inside her purse and then looked at her leg.

" It would take me an hour to reach there even if I run with all my energy. I have to use the taxi, it would be faster. I must get this job today" She slowed down the taxi, Hoped in and gave her the address.

" Please go faster" She leaned closer , holding the driver's seat and the passenger seat with her hands. At that moment, Jacky wished she possessed the power that would make the car move faster.

Standing in front of the company trying to catch her breath, Jacky lifted up her head to the Company's name Written Boldly above the Magnificent gate.

CRYSTAL'S PALACE

Jacky giggled. Everyday of her life since the first day she moved in to that city, her only wish was to set her foot inside that Company as an employee.

She had tried countless times from going to the company to check if they were in need of employees, their websites for any Vacancy but nothing worked for her.

But just few days ago, she logged in to their website and saw the vacancy where they are looking for a Nanny for Mr. Crystal's Only child. Jacky Applied hoping to be selected after the audition but her Landlord made her forget how important that day was.

She took in a deep breath, approached the Security and handed over the application letter she printed out the previous day. The security Man looked at her from head to toe after scanning the paper.

" You are 26?" Jacky nodded her head with smiles plastered on her face. " Are you sure you aren't... 19?" her expression changed. She was already fed up with explaining to everyone she wasn't a teenager.

" Sir, I am 26" She put on a smile again but this time, it was a fake one. " Okay, if you say so" He handed her the paper, unlocked the door from inside and let her in.

Jacky heaved a sigh of relief. She stepped her foot inside the company for the very first time in her life. And just like it was on the pictures in their website, The company was a very big one. The exterior view was so huge not to talk of the interior view.

Jacky remembered what brought her to that Company and he increased her pace. She Pushed the glass door to the reception and hurried to the receptionist.

" Good day Ma'am" The lady turned around and raised a brow. " How may I help you, young lady?" She put the paper on the desk.

" I'm here for the Audition" Jacky said and the lady chuckled. " The audition? But you are a teenager, we want people from 24 to 34" Jacky shook her head.

" Fortunately, I'm 26" She passed her the paper. The lady didn't argue, she looked at the paper and then at Jacky who was waiting for her to say something. " Okay but sorry, the Audition is already over" She passed the paper back to her.

" Over? Oh my God! Please help me" She pleaded. " Sorry lady, You can reapply again Maybe next time" She turned to the next person standing beside Jacky.

" I really need this job, Listen to me first" She called the lady. " Excuse me , Miss. I think she's through with you" Said the lady standing beside her.

" No she isn't" Jacky had her eyes on the receptionist as she said that. " I'm done with you, please leave" She said but Jacky wasn't ready to leave. Not until she do the Audition.

She can't leave, it wasn't like she meant what she said that she would move back home if things didn't go well that day. She would never go back to her parents, they were the worse people she could ever live with.

" What's happening here?" Jacky turned around and it was Mr. Crystal's Assistant. Her attention was diverted to the receptionist table as she was about to pass by.

" Ma'am, it's nothing" Said the receptionist. " Nothing?" Jacky Chuckled. " I Came for the Audition" Jacky said to the Assistant. " The Audition is already over, sorry" She apologized. " Please help me. Hold the Audition for me. I really need this Job" She pleaded.

" Come over here" The Assistant apologized to the Lady standing beside Jacky and took Jacky to another side. " You are causing commotion here, please leave already. The President of the Company won't like it when he finds out someone is Making Noises here" She said.

" Please help me. I... I can give you whatever you want. Money? Name it, and I'll give it to you" Jacky blurted. Oops, that came out wrong. She has nothing to give to the Assistant.

The Assistant Scanned her from head to toe and Giggled.

" You don't look like someone who has anything to offer" Jacky was pained by that but the lady was right. She was broke than the word broke itself. " But... I'll help you" Jacky's face brightened up.

" Really? Thank you so much" She held the Assistant's Hands. " I'm just helping you because I don't want to become that girl's Nanny" Jacky nodded her head.

" Do you Even know the girl you are going to be working for?" She asked Jacky. " No, but I heard she's five. Right? I love kids. I don't think I'll have problem with her" The Assistant's jaw dropped.

Jacky didn't know what that girl was made of but she wouldn't be the one to tell her. After all, Zoey would stop suggesting her Dad take her as the Nanny after Jacky is Hired.

" Here's what we are going to do. You have to tell Mr. Crystal that You are my distance Cousin." Jacky raised a brow.

" Are you going to do that or not?" She nodded her head. " Good. That is the only thing that would make him hire you. Follow me" Jacky happily followed her to the elevator.

" You can call me Miss Blue" Blue extended her hand for a handshake. " Jacky" She shook her hand. " Short for Jacqueline" She smiled.

" Nice name. I'll take you to see Mr. Crystal, please behave well when you see him. I see girls loosing their self respect when they see him"

Jacky was confused on how someone would loose their self respect just by seeing a fellow person. But as soon as she entered his office and set her eyes on him, her jaw dropped..

Blue was Right because she too was about to loose her mind. Sitting before her was An Angel in a Human form. The way his lips Moved when he Lifted up his head, The way he blinked his eyes too.

" Oh my God!" Jacky curved her hands and put her face in it. She was going to lose it too but Blue Quickly cleared her throat. Jacky stopped smiling and get a hold of herself but she didn't stop staring at him.

" Mr. Crystal, this is one of the Applicants for the Audition" Mr. Crystal Looked at Jacky and frowned a little. " A Teenager?" His voice resonated through her , bringing her back to the reality.

" No sir, she isn't a teenager" Blue tapped Jacky with her elbow. " Oh, My name's Jacky and I'm not a teenager. I'm 26" She added. " 26?" Harold raised a brow. " Yes, sir." She nodded her head.

" Didn't you tell her the Audition is over?" He said to Blue. " She already know that but I personally brought her here. Jacky here is a very Good lady and she would take care of Little Zoey even in your absence." Jacky nodded her head.

" I'm an expert in taking care of kids. I love kids so Much" She smiled. " Are you sure she Can do it? Did you explain to her the kind of a person she would be dealing with?" Blue looked at Jacky who has a questionable look on her face.

" You didn..." Blue interrupted her. " Yes I did, sir. And she agreed to it" She glanced at Jacky. " Okay then. You are hired" Jacky's face lit up and she jumped up excitedly.. " Hired? Oh my God, this is a dream come true" She hugged Blue happily.

" So when should I start work?" She asked Blue. " Now" Came Harold's voice. He was now standing a little inch away from her. He was a tall Man, tall in such a way that Jacky has to look up before seeing his face.

" Would I be taking care of Both Mr. Crystal and the baby?" Jacky whispered to Blue but Harold heard her. " Young lady, It would be Good for you if you could stay away from me. But if you don't, you are going to lose your Job" He warned.

" Blue, take her to Zoey's office" He turned his back on them. " Whatever, that won't stop me from Having a crush on you" She said under her breath. " Follow me, Jacky" Jacky took a last Look at her New crush and left the office with Blue.

" Is he always like that?" She asked Blue who was taking her to see Zoey. " Just like he said, do not go close to him" She nodded her head. " Okay. The little girl has her own Office?" Blue nodded her head. " What is it like?" She asked again.
