THE ALPHA'S BETA

Hello my name is Chris Thomas woodland, I am the 5 generation alpha of Blue lake pack. I am the only child to my parents, I was supposed to take over the pack at age 19 but my father said he was no longer able to control the pack and stepped down when I was 16. I got my wolf at 18 but I already went to many wars without my wolf.

People call me possessed because I was a killer long before I got my wolf. Most alphas are feared because of the strength they get from having an alpha wolf. While I was strong, long before had one.. now with my wolf no one dares to stand in my way or attack my pack. I am currently 25 years old and the elders are waiting with anticipation for the day I find my mate.

My beta is my life time best friend, Roman Riley Brown. His been my best friend ever since I could walk, we are always together. I enjoy his company and I trust him with my life. We are currently at a meeting with other Alphas, we were supposed to be discussing peace and allience but instead they are trying to force me to take one of their daughters.

Roman- I don't know how much longer I can take this.

Chris- you? I am the one they are turning into a object for sell here.

I felt my wolf groaning in pain in my head, I hate it when he talks like that. The meeting went on, there was no common ground found so we had to end the meeting early before the fighting started. We drove back home, Roman was quite. He hate driving, rather run but we have not slept in two days so I forced him to get us a drive who will take us to the Golden Rob pack where the meeting was held.

We drove in silence the whole way back, about 8 hours of no talking. When we got home it was late, around 3 in the morning. Roman wasted no time in getting to bed, I was tired but I was not sleepy. This meeting are not getting us anywhere instead it gets me blind dates with annoying beta and alpha's daughters.

I went to my office and went through some paperwork, I did not do much of anything as I passed out. I was waken up by the sweet smell of coffee, I got up and I found Ronny standing at the door. I don't use his full name Roman, I feel like it's too long. And I am the only one who calls him Ronny.

Roman- you slept in here?

Chris- had work... Is that for me?

Roman- did you get anything done? And yes it's your.. you know I hate coffee.

Chris- not much but most of the important thing and thank you for the coffee.

I got up and went to take it, I took a seat on the couch while Ronny went to clean up my table. He had minimal or rather careful hidden OCD. I watched him clean up, he looked all serious and shit. Then out of nowhere my father showed up.

James- ah there you are.

Chris- father?

James- I went to your room and you weren't there.

Chris- jeah I had work to do.

James- beta can we talk in private please?

Chris- no!... you can say what you want in front of him or you can leave father.

James- very well, your mother and I have been talking and we got to a decision... We have arranged for you to take the alpha's daughter of Bloody stone pack. They are they have money, it will solve-

Chris- and who asked you for help ? I am the alpha here father. You said it was too much, and forced me to lead at 16. So please by all means stay the FUCK out of pack problems. And as for arranged mating , I am not taking anyone but my mate.

James- where is she? They won't stop coming for our pack because of it, it makes you weak to rule alone. Your wolf need it's mate close to it!

My father looked at me and got up and walked away, he was busy cursing under his breath but I was not in the mood. I turned around to find Ronny, he looked hurt. I wanted to go over to him and embrace him in a hag but I was not sure of how he will respond to it.

Roman- maybe you should do as he says.. maybe he and the rest will stop talking about how it's my fault and how I am after your title. I don't want to lead I hate being responsible for everything, I love being a beta and I don't wish for such power.

He said that and then got up and left, I was so hurt that it give me physical pain. My chest was so painful that breathing was hard, the whole room was spinning and I felt like I was going to vomit. I felt super cold that I actually got chicken skin and was shaking. I laid on the floor and closed my eyes, I tried to link Ronny but he was too mad to have his link open to me or anyone else.

When his like this he usually go home or go for a run. I kept trying but nothing, I felt myself slipping into darkness. I tried to get up but I was too weak to stand on my own, someone opened my office door and I couldn't recognize who it was nor hear what they were saying. I just give in to the darkness now tht I knew I was not alone in my office.

All I could think about as I laid down was the pain in Ronny's voice. His suggestion of rejecting my mate, he sounded like he meant it. I blacked out and when I come to I was in my room with my parents, mother was crying. father was talking to the doctor and an elder was present.

They got up and went out, my father was very mad. I could tell from how hard his feet hit the floor as he walked out. Mother whispered " you need a mate to calm you down baby" they left and I tried Ronny but still no answer. The door to my room opened and my room and nose were filled with the most delicious smell ever. I turned around and there he was, my beautiful and peaceful MATE.

I walked over to him slowly, he stepped back and closed the door. He looked at me with hurt, confusion and a hint of relief. I did not have any words so I hugged him and he hugged me back. We stayed like that for a few minutes then we broke the hug, he went to seat on my bed and I followed.

Ronny- they said you were dead, I-i I would never hurt you Chris!

Chris- I know, my father is just being too much. Are you ok?

Ronny- yes, I just need to get cleaned up. Am I excused ,?

I was not sure if I wanted him out of my side, I don't know what father might do. But he was still mad and with good reason, so I allowed him to leave even though it was hurting. But his presence did calm chase down enough.

I know what you're thinking, why don't I just tell my parents? Honest answer I don't know. I don't know if they will approve of me being gay or if they will approve of this relationship. Having two alpha's and no Luna meaning no kids. I don't know what the elders will do either and I was afraid I will be the first ever Woodland to fail.

Ever since I found out Ronny was my mate on my birthday, I have been afraid. Afraid of losing him and the pack. My father looked at LBGT wolfs with disgust and almost hate in his eyes. That look is what I am afraid of, but it makes me wonder. Have they not yet notice? I mean it's pretty much in their faces, a grown ass man spends all the time he can with another man rather than to look for his mate? I will never understand but ok.

Stella pov

"Beauty fades with age" this is what my mother has been telling me since I could remember. She has also been telling me to find myself a powerful Alpha mate and stop wasting time waiting for the moon goddess to give me leftovers. Excuse my rudeness, my mane is Stella Parker. I am the only daughter to the most richest alpha in the south.

As you can imagine, I have always had my way ever since I was a child. I have always gotten the best of everything so imagine my disappointed when I found out my mate was none other than a fucken head warrior! I rejected him on the spot. I told my mother and we decided to find me a proper mate.

I took off and went shopping, shopping is therapeutic. I have two friends, actually not friends but shadows. After we did our shopping, we head out to eat. We eat at this little high end restaurant, small and exclusive. While eating one of the charity's got up and disappear for about 30 minutes. When she comes back she was basically speed walking over to us.

Charity- well apparently Alpha Chris was attacked in his office by his beta and left for dead.

Charity- he was found by his mother, his current in recovery and the beta is arrested.

I was Soo pissed I went to find my mother, however I did not get the answer I was looking for. She was having lunch with her broke annoying friends.

Oh my goodness! What? I took off, as I was walking out a lady past by me and went into the small hall mother was having lunch in. I have never seen her before, she doesn't look like any of the bloodsucker mother usually has around her. She walked in and closed then locked the door, ahh what the fuck !

I wanted to go check if I can listen in or see through the keyhole but I had other plans. I went to my room and linked the two charity's to come find me. I got as much information out of them as I could, turns out they don't know much. I asked who told them and she shocked me for life.

One of the charity's has a mate in that pack, his a warrior but he was not in the pack when this incident happened. He heard it from a unreliable source, he later found out the truth. Father was right about most of it, but he did not tell me that the royal family hate the beta. Apparently he is out for power, which puts pressure on me. I have to get to the Alpha before he makes his move.

A week later we got a latter from Alpha Chris's pack, there is going to be a party. They took a more business approach to it, but we all know it's to find a mate for the most powerful and hot, not forgetting the youngest Alpha. The party is 3 days long so I am guessing they will at some point get to the business part, however I am going in a day early so I can get some alone time with him.

I started packing, I will be leaving tomorrow morning. As I was busy packing mother walked in, she took a seat and watched me pack. She looked at me like I was crazy, kept shaking her head at me.

Stella- ok, what's wrong?

Susan- you! Look at you. Running around like your crazy. Have no plan, just living.

Stella- I have a plan!

I decided to listen to my mother and wait for the very last day, but I was not just going to seat on my ass and not know what is going on over there. So I sent my shadows to keep an eye on this for me, tell me what he does and what or rather who does he seem to be interested in. This was going to be the longest 2 days of my life.

The day come for us to leave for Chris's pack, I barely slept. Mother said father went on ahead as he was the alpha, and he got us rooms inside the pack house. Most were placed at cottages a bit far from the pack house. We got there early morning and my shadows had absolutely nothing to tell me, apparently he was not talking to anyone but the Alphas and betas. He was with his beta always and he seemed to be not in good terms with his father.

Mother and I walked in to the pack house and we were welcomed by the former Alpha, alpha James. He showed us around,I later found out that father had arranged with him for me to mate with Chris. Us being rich might have been a big contributing factor but who cares. Former Alpha was very serious about this, he went as far as giving me a room opposite to that of Chris.

Since we were early, they have not yet had breakfast so we will be joining them. We got there and Evey alpha come with his unmarked daughter,and just like mother said. All dressed like hoes, but excluding me of course. We took our seats and waited for the alpha to show up so the food can be served. He showed up looking all sexy and shit.

Every girl was giggling, me include. That was until mother shouted at me through the link. I looked around and I spotted one girl who seemed not to care for smiles or anything. She had her head down, she was seated next to none other than the old man Jackson. Chris greeted him first, hugged the girl and went to take his seat.

Even mother was confused as to what just happened, but she brushed it off. The omegas were about to serve us but alpha Chris stopped them.

Chris- sorry Lucia, where is the beta?

James- he was not invited!

Chris- please go get him.

James- no!

Charity- she got her minutes before you, she wasn't here till today. Her name is Alora, from the Golden Rob pack. Her father is Jackson Brown, the alpha.

We looked everywhere for hours and nothing. Just when I was about to give up I saw her, she was wearing a legging ..shorts on top of the leggings and a big t-shirt. She tied the t-shirt at the back. I called out to her.

Alora- oh.. in that case, my name is ALORA . There is an "A" before the Lora.. Alora.

Out of nowhere some big guy, not as muscular as the Alpha though. His tall, black hair, he smelled really good and dressed very nicely. He walked with so much confidence and damn he did the catwalk better than anyone I have ever seen. He waved at Alora and she her face brighten up and she took off. They went out back, I wanted to follow but the warriors stopped me " without the beta or alpha you can't go past this point"

Some bullshit. One of the charity's come running over to me, she said the other went to spend time with her mate as they don't get to see each other a lot. Apparently he hasn't told the Alpha about her, he is scared. Once you find your mate and they are not in your pack, you tell your alpha and he will initiate her into the pack and also give you a house. Because now warriors have their own house were they live together, well in this pack that is. Ours doesn't have such even with all the money we have.

CHRIS POV

After what father did to Ronny I avoided talking to him at all cost. What annoys me is that he wants to backseat lead the pack, a pack he said he couldn't handle anymore. He did not have any relationship with other packs and we were not doing so great. I took over and started training our people, made new friends and smart choice. And now that Blue lake pack is the number one most feared and strongest pack around the south he wants to made important decision behind my back.

I made us grow our own food, we have good soil and a lot of water. We make our own food and save a lot on buying from the towns. We built our own houses and thanks to my business degree, I build a company that is very successful. We have a private security company that has been voted the best 3 years in a row. We opened up a fruit and veggies shop down town too. With all this I was able to pay off all the money father has been borrowing.

I made friends with other packs that buy our food, we also protect small packs at a low price. Some we advice to train with us so they can protect themselves, they fall under us but are very much independent. One of my friends is Jackson from the Golden Rob pack, they are second most strongest pack.

I help train his youngest daughter, I like him because he doesn't force his daughter on me. She is smart and warriors like.

Unlike most she-wolves she attend meetings with her father to learn more how to best protect wolfs and serve the pack. She found her mate already, from another pack. He is soon to be alpha, sweet and down to earth kind of guy. After Ronny left for home I stayed in my room for a while, he was hurt and I understand.

I ended up falling asleep, being an alpha I am always on alert. The second someone enters my room I am up, I am ready to defend myself. But the only weakness in this, is that I don't feel the need to protect myself from my mate. I did smell Ronny coming in but I did not feel the need to wake up. You know that feeling you have especially in the morning, you want to wake up but your body says nope.

Your in and out of sleep, most times you doze off. I was feeling like that, my body wanted to sleep but my mind was up. I don't know what happened but I ended up falling back to sleep. Later on I woke up, and I immediately froze. I felt warm hands making cycles on my chest. I did not know what to say but I loved it, I wanted to stay in bed with him laying on my chest but I couldn't risk being caught like this.

Chris- Ronny?

Roman- sorry, I did not want to wake you. You looked so peaceful.

He said that while getting up, I held his hand and he stopped. But he was still not facing me.

Chris- I am sorry about what father did.

Roman- it's alright, anyway I see you took my advice.

Chris- regarding?

Roman- the mate thing. Your mother is already preparing housing, invitation have been sent out.

Chris- what are you talking about?

Roman- your having a gathering starting the day after tomorrow, lasting 3 days.

He got up from the bed and left, he was so fast I did not even get a chance to say anything. My wolf howled in pain, my chest was hurting again. He was talking about rejection! I felt like I lost my ability to breath, I quickly pulled the sheets he laid in and inhaled his scent. It helped a bit but I was still in pain, soon the pain turned into anger.. who the fuck planed a party for me without informing me.

I did not bother bathing I took off to find my father. He was with the elders, good I don't have to repeat myself. They saw me coming and straighten up, but father was stubborn. He stood there like he owned this pack, like he was in charge. All confident and shit.

Chris- LISTEN HERE AND LISTEN CAREFUL! I DONT WANT A FUCKEN PARTY!

elder- Alpha the invitation are already out.

That was it, I grabbed him by the neck and slammed him on the walls. Shock was written all over his face, he did not expect me to do anything simply because his my father. But he forgets I am stronger than him, I am the alpha not him. I growled in his face and squeezed his neck a bit, the more I looked at him the more I saw the pain in Ronny's eyes when he come back from the cells.

The pain in his eyes, the conversation we just hard and I wanted to kill my father. He did this! He is the one who is hurting my mate. I got so angry I extended my teeth, I wanted to leave him with a scare he will never forget. I went in but instead of taking a bite out of my father, Ronny placed his hand and i bite him. I did not notice till I pulled back, blood on the floor and father was not hurt. He too was confused till we both looked at where the blood on the comes from.

Chris- RONNY! FUCK FUCK FUCK.

My father growled at him and said something under his breath. I pushed my father so hard into the wall, it made a hole. I wanted to hit him but Ronny pulled me back.

Ronny- Stop it!

I immediately stopped, I dont know why. Most mates don't have this much power over each other. But Ronny has me under his thumb, he says stop and I will not hesitate. I stepped back and he turned around and walked about two steps. He looked at me and I followed him, but I stopped in the middle to address my father.

Chris- you wanted a party? You have a party, but dont think for one second I will do as you wish. I will not take any one but my mate! And oh father..... It goes without saying STAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME AND PACK BUSINESS!

I walked out with Ronny out back and we went into the woods. He walked us to the other side of the mountains where it is hidden. He then found a spot and took a seat, he did not say anything and so did I. I just stayed next to him. He was the first to break the silence.

Roman- you need to learn to control yourself!

Chris- I am trying.

Roman- then stop coming to my aid each time your father does something. You won't acknowledge me, but you won't reject me either. You have your reason for hiding this,-

He got up and left, I watched as he walked away. Looking at his ass, my goodness what I would do to it if I had a chance. I got hard fast, I had to wait it out before I could go. I hate blue balls! After I had cooled down I went back, took a shower and went to breakfast. Mother was there, she tired to make me apologize but I was not sorry.

After breakfast my day started and I had a lot of work, new mates meaning new houses and a log of initiations. Ronny was quite most of the day, chase was restless. Making me snap out without any warning. He kept looking at me for the corner of his eyes. While sorting out the housing thing, my receptionist called and said the elders want to see me.

I exhaled deeply, this is just want I need. More old people to annoy me even more. I allowed then in because they will stay out there till I see them. They walked in and submitted, Ronny give them chairs. He stood by the door, away from me.

I stopped hearing anything after the mention of my father, chase wanted out. Everything seem to revolve around him, I was shaking, I tried to hide it but Ronny noticed. I wanted nothing than to bath in their blood, they seem to think my father is still in charge.

Chris- alpha James this, alpha James that!.. his not the fucken Alpha! I swear if you made one more decision based on what my father said I will boil you alive.

I growled and I was a second away from getting up and killing the old guy, he saw it in my eyes. But out of nowhere, my mates scent hit me. I quickly looked at the door and he was not there, I was confused till I heary his voice in my head " calm down! I am behind you" I couldn't help but smile. But I had to hide it quickly.

Ronny spoke up from behind me, the elders never had a problem with him. It's my father who seem to be gunning for him.

Roman- how about this, he will attend the party but will not be forced into anything?

Chris- no!

Roman- do you know who you're mate is?

I couldn't answer and he knew, he was just playing me.

Roman- then it won't hurt to attend.

Chris- fine!

The elders went on talking and I was struggling to calm down, his scent and voice was not enough. But lucky they did not stay too long. Ronny said he had something to do too and he took off. After a while of being alone in my office I went out for a walk, at the corner of my eye I saw him. Ronny laughing with this other guy, the guy kept playing with his hair.

They were near the woods, could barely see them. I was about to walk away but the guy grabbed Ronny by the neck as if pulling him in for a kiss. I don't know how but in a split second i was next to Ronny, pushing the guy. He fell and hit his head, blood coming out and he looked like he passed out.

Roman- WHAT THE FUCK Teey!

Teey that's what he calls me, I love it. Even when his angry I always smile when he calls me that. He went to check on the guy but chase and I stopped him.

Chris- dont you fucken touch him!

Roman- I want to see if his dead! What's your problem.

Chris- don't touch him! Why are you out here in the woods with him anyway?

Roman- why do you care? Ain't you supposed to be getting ready for your party?

He went to pick the guy up, I involuntary slapped his hand away from the guy. He looked at me in the eyes, then pulled me by the hand deep into the woods.

He took off, chase was hurt and so was I but he was telling the truth. I don't want him to be with anyone but me, yet I can't face my fears and come clean about my mate. Over the next few days he was distance and quiet. On the last day he was not present for breakfast and I was pissed, I did not eat breakfast that day. After breakfast Jackson asked me to train his daughter, I asked him to join and he did show up.

It was fun and I enjoyed having him around, he was talking and smiling. We spent the day in my office, mostly working out on who we need and who is not a necessity as a friend to Blue lake. Everything was going well till an omega come to remind me I had to get ready for the party. Soon after she left so did Ronny, he said he was going out of town for a few days.

I had no choice but to attend the party alone, it was annoying. I had a few glasses of wine then took the bottle that the parkers insisted i drink alone. I took the bottle straight to my room, I drink a lot with Ronny but I have never felt like this. I passed out with my royal cloths on and I woke up naked next to the annoying parker girl!
