My skin prickles with unease like I've got live insects running a marathon on it. I itch to turn around and confront the one tailing me, such an amateur I thought my lips curling into a smirk. Just a pervie stalking a young unarmed woman. A walking target for men like him. I stride into an alley and walk deeper into the shadows and his steps quicken as the distance shorten between us. I whirled around just as he tried to grab me from behind. I grab hold of his wrist and within a few seconds had him on the cold, hard frosty ground.
He gasps in disbelief as he stared at my smiling face.
"Hi! How can I help?" I bit out, the smile still plastered on my face. My eyes frosty emeralds no doubt.
" Um... nothing. I just thought...I"
" That's what I thought, next time don't stalk people. You never know where it gets you."
"Yes, I'm sorry."
I let go of him and watch as he walks out of there fast as he could. I chortle, and walk deeper into the alley, my apartment building is in the other side, I lift my head and scent the air, pulling it deep into my lungs. I wait for the onslaught of images to go through my skull, and a slight pain splinters my temples and I gasp slowly, glad that I don't need to move again. I'm glad that I don't have to move out of this city for another one yet.
I meandered the streets and find myself staring at my apartment building, I ignore the overly cheerful receptionist's wave and jump in the elevator.
I've chosen this comfortable apartment building on a whim, to pamper myself just once instead of choosing low budget hostels full of college students and backpackers.
I brandish my key and open my door, I close it silently, and hop on the sofa. I strip my jacket off and and chuck it beside me. I sigh, rubbing hands over my tired eyelids trying to shake off the fatigue, working in a nightclub has its perks and moans.
I strip and slowly made my way to the shower and wash all my worries away, another day lived, another tick off in my life. A bitter smile comes to my lips, I stave off the shroud of sadness that swathes me, a tear creeps out from my eyelid and joins the water cruising down my cheeks.
Finally, I step out and towel dried my body and slid into my PJ's and jump into bed my body braces for what's to come.I took in large gulps of air and close my eyes, teetering towards the abyss of sleep.
I jump up gasping for breath as claws has just started to claw at me. Loud voices from the next apartment filtered in, I sighed and hurry outside. P*ss*d off and sleep deprived, I hissed loudly as I stepped outside to confront my noisy neighbor.
I rapped loudly on the door, the voices stopped and silence filled the air. I knocked loudly, footsteps come nearer and the lock turned and the door opened just as I curl a fist to knock.
Frosty ice blue eyes set in a killer handsome face, his face looks so perfect and untouchable, the kind of untouchable beauty that repels all touches, I want to smash a fist into all that perfectness. I narrowed my eyes at him.
"Yes! How can I help you?" A perfect smirk taunts me to lift my fist.
"Someone people are trying to sleep, I would appreciate it if you keep it down."
"Is that all?"
"Yes. Thank you." I bit out.
Help, please help me ble...
I stiffened, not having heard a voice in my head in ages. I gripped my head and back away from the door. No, no I don't want to get myself entangled in this situation, I take a whiff of what they are and slowly back away. How did I not scent them, I have become lazy and reckless.
Ignore all pleas. They'll always put you in trouble.
I take another step back. Trying to pull myself together, pretty guy was shoved out of the way, the door widened and a huge guy steps out with a small, very pale almost translucent teenaged girl, dark veins stand prominently on her arms in his arms.
"What are you doing Nolan?"
"You tell me she says she can help."
"Blessed moon." The girl points a frail finger in my direction.
I froze, and so did the guys. I gather my thoughts together and attempt at an awkward smile. And walk towards my door. "Sorry I think you got the wrong person."
"Please. Please help me. It's the dark blight. I know you can help." She whispers as an inky black tear makes its way down her cheek.

I stared at her in desperation with a deer caught in the headlights expression on my face. Her voice came ring in my head again, a thing I'm half vexed- half stunned how it's possible since I didn't let her in my head.
Please help me. We're not bad people, we're good.
I'm sorry but I can't. I've stopped helping a long time ago. No good thing comes off helping . I'm sorry, but I'm not the right person to help you. May the moon goddess help you on your final journey.
My fingers wrap around my door handle and I turn it. A growl has me whipping around fast just as a hand wraps around my throat and I was slammed hard on the wall. I stared at the partially shifted pretty guy, a dusting of gold fur covers his skin, his Canines flash.
"You'll help my sister or moon goddess help me I will end you right here."
" Not bad people huh." I turn my gaze on the teen in the arms of the huge guy.
"We're not please Keagan force is not needed please stop." She pleads.
"No! She must help you or I will end her." He growls louder, lifting me by the throat he drags me with him into their apartment.
He slings me across the room and my back slams on the wall, I drop on the floor like a sack of potatoes. He drops before me perfectly, I cough and massaged my my throat throwing a p*ss*d off look at the girl and her helper, my gaze fell on the third person I fail to notice. He's tall, sharing the same look as pretty guy, but where he's muscled he's lean and rangy. But still stunningly handsome.
The two exchange concerned looks . The rangy one shrugs, I cough and stared at the unyielding mound of flesh staring at me. I see my death in his eyes, if it means hurting or killing me he'll do it.
I swallow and slowly lift my hands up in surrender and look at the four, making sure that they see the hell I will bring to their door step when I am free. The girl wince and look away. I know what happens after this, there's no going back. I shudder when I remember the haunting hopelessness, the cost of my freedom, my eyes mist, and I tamp down the urge to cry.
"Fine I'll do it."
"Lay her on on the sofa."
The huge guy lay the teenage girl on the sofa.
Keagan grabs me by the scruff like I was nothing and drags me towards his sister, who gives me an apologetic smile.
I ignore her and freed my long dormant senses I've been staving away for so long. An unbidden smile came to my lips as my aura flared filling the room, euphoria fills the room, I almost smirk as the three unconsciously take a step towards me .
Keagan scowls at his feet and takes a step back, the huge guy shakes his head like a dog trying to clear it, the rangy one has a happy look on his face like he's stuck in a memory he's reliving.
A very bright emerald- green glow emanates from my hands and chest to form into the shape of a wolf. Then without warning disappears into her midriff, she gasps softly, a soft smile on her face as her eyes close slowly and her body went slack.
The murderous eyes of Keagan roams over me, his nostrils flared. And I held up a hand, stopping him before he says a word.
"She's not dead."
"If she's, you'll be soon."
"Right what a ray of sunshine. You don't scare me." I scoff.
There was a time when my kind were revered, and now we're reduced to hiding and surviving like this, closed off from all we know. I wait for the transformation that is sure to happen, the girl look a little less pale, the veins are breaking up.
Suddenly she gasps, her eyes spring open and a glow streams from underneath her skin and explodes in the room.
A small hand grips mine and I stared at a perfectly healed up girl, not the one nearly on death's door, her blond hair looks lustrous and a glow cling to her tresses.
A burning splash on my inner wrist and I pull my hand away, I stared at my smoking inner wrist, and shake my head at the mark clinging to my flesh.
" Oh my goddess look, this is meant to be. Thank the goddess, we're soul sisters." The girl proudly shows off the crescent moon tattoo on her inner wrist.
Keagan grumbles, the huge guy went to his knees in disbelief, the rangy one grabs the girl's wrist checking the tattoo out.I slowly went upright and the world tilts. Everything hummed with energy, I need to get out of here, ditch this city, staying would be foolish.
"Where do you think you're going?" A voice growls behind me, a heavy hand grasps my shoulder.
Feei
"What do you think you're doing?" I shove his hand away from my shoulder and righted my balance staring at him like he's gone crazy.
Even though I have a stoic expression on my face, my heart clatters loudly in my chest, it's a wonder that he hasn't heard it yet. I can feel my body weakening every second that ticks by.
"Did I say I'm done with you?"
" I wasn't aware that I was a captive. Am I ?" I meet the eyes of my newly minted soul sister.
She perks up and shoots out of the sofa faster than I could blink she inserts her tiny body between us, making Keagan back away from me. He gives her a wary look, looking disgruntled.
"We're not bad people brother. You said she'd be free when she heals me. And she has." She lays a hand on his shoulder communicating through their private link.
"Let her go brother, I'm in with Selene, you can't hold her against her will." The huge guy steps forward, his gaze respectful. He nods at me, and I give him a nod back.
My hands starts shaking, as the price of what I have just done starts kicking in.
"Are you alright?" Selene lays a gentle hand on my face looking concerned. "I can take you to your apartment if you don't feel alright."
"No, it's fine. I will be okay.
I hurriedly walk to my apartment and lock the door. My legs crumple underneath me and I lay my pounding head on my knees as I get my bearings back.
'You'll always be mine Feyure, know this because when I find you you'll pay for leaving.'
I slowly got up and grab the backpack a few feet away from my feet and sling it on my shoulder. I step into the corridor and head to the parking lot. I pull the car cover off the car I've parked in here for month.
Opening the door I jump in and start the car. I shoot out of there fast and into the street, heading out of the city just as dawn breaks, I heard the unmistakable sound of a howl alerting the city pack.
My hands tighten on the steering wheel, I drove faster, the streets started blurring as I speed out of there. I pull out my map, and trace the safe house I'm heading off into, the hair at the back of my neck stands on end, and I rev up the car, it's a miracle I haven't garnered the police's attention yet. I followed the gps directions driving the car to the outskirts of the city, a smile blooms on my lips when I have seen that I have not long to reach the safehouse.
A huge wolf jumps in front of the car, I stepped on the gas not stopping and running it over. I watch in satisfaction as the wolf goes airborne and thumps on the ground, it didn't move.
" Five minutes to your final destination." The GPS announces.
I curse when my eyes fall on the mountain of fur and claws that literally drop out of the sky, I hit the brakes at the last second and the car careens in the air, I jump out of the car as it plummets to the ground and shift.
The process quick and painless, I land on all fours and growl at the mammoth-sized werewolf, it flashes fangs long as my limbs. It lunge at me and I sidestep fluidly it smashes into my car and it burst aflame. I used that moment to sprint for the safehouse down the hill.
The huge werewolf in close pursuit, its hot breath almost singeing my tail. The gate to the safehouse opens and I stared at the man with eyes of death waiting for me, I leapt high in the air , hoping it's enough to get me over, I shift as I plummet, my tired body let me down and I change forms several times as I fall. I fall on a warm, hard muscled body. Arms wrap around my waist as we both hit the ground.
Wolves snap at me in an instant, I'm shoved behind him in an instant, that gesture makes my wolf stir and lift her head. I raise my brows in confusion, a little insulted that he thinks I need protection, I survey his battle harden wolves , I can do a lot of damage before I'm taken down even in my weakened state. I mused.
They back away and I turn to my savior, arresting aquamarine, piercing eyes meet mine, they harpoon into my bones and he gasps and takes a step towards me and I back a step away.
"I'm sorry, you're safe here no harm will befall you and none shall lay a hand on you." His eyes cling on his pack, some of them step back whining deep in their throat. "You've my word Moon-blessed."
