~Switched at Birth~

Twenty years ago, Carmila Santos was raped by unknown man. She was brought up in a little mining village. when she found out she was pregnant, she was devastated, hurt and confused. She became a laughing stock, her friends cut ties with her, the village looked at her like she was carrying all the sins of the world. Her mother, Ms Maria as everyone called her, Decided to take Camilla out of that place. They found themselves at an island near the fish port. People there were really nice, so they decided to settle there.

When it was time for Camilla to Give birth, They didn't even have enough money to bring her to the hospital. Her Mother insisted she should deliver at a health facility to keep both mother and child safe.

At the hospital, they met a generous Rich Man who offered to pay the hospital bills as they couldn't allow her in. The man who paid their bills brought his wife as she was about to give birth too. It was just a wealth couple from the city who visited the island and the woman went into labor.

It so happened that, Camilla and Patricia were put in the same ward and gave birth almost at the same time and their beautiful babies were put next to each other.

Patricia didn't want to stay another minute into that hospital, she considered it to be cheap and filthy. She demanded to be discharged as soon as possible. She was shouting at the nurse in charge calling her all sort of names because they couldn't give in to her request. She just gave birth and that might compromise the health of the baby. For that reason, Patricia slapped the nurse in charge. That made the nurse furious, she switched the new born babies Inorder to teach the Arrogant lady a lesson. When Patricia and her husband Adam were finally allowed to leave, they left with Camila's baby without knowing.

Camila noticed that The Baby had a bracket made of wood which was given by Ms Maria her grandmother, The moment the child was born. When she asked the nurse, The nurse told them, it might have fallen off in the ward while cleaning up the baby. Camila understood and forgot about it.

Twenty years On..

Keisha woke up very early as usual. Her mother and Grandmother were sleeping so soundly, she didn't want to disturb them so she went ahead to the fish port.

Walking by the sea shore, the birds chirping in the cornflower blue open sky. The water waves hit Keisha's soft beautiful feet. " what a beautiful day! she sighs with pleasure while she closed her eyes and let the early morning sun beat against her fair Face. Looking so happy, singing and dancing, she Suddenly saw someone hiding behind a tree. It was too far to see who the prostrate figure was but somehow, instinctively, she knew it was a man. Before she knew it, Keisha was surrounded by three goons.

" Wow! She's so pretty, our boss will be impressed by this, One of the goons ranted.

" And who is your boss huh! Keisha spoke folding her hands.

" you will find out! and she's sexy too, He's going to have a good time. I understand why our boss is so crazy about her, The fish port Queen.

" Hey! am warning! Don't you dare come closer to me or you will get the beating of your life! She warned them butThey all laughed at her words.

" Get her! One of them ordered, two of the goons went closer to Keisha, one tried to grab her from the back, but got kicked in the chest and he fell. Another tried to go closer to her, she punched him really hard on the face.

" what! are you giving up! huh! they all looked at each other then attacked Keisha at once, she dodged them, they found themselves in the water. They went back to her and she kicked two and punched another. What! are you tired! come and get me!

" Let's just go! She's tough! We need more men, They got up dusting themselves. Glanced at Keisha then left right away. Keisha dusted her hands, picked up the hat on the ground and walked to the fish port.

Keisha was known by everyone in the island for her handwork and kindness. And for the fact that she was beautiful, she caught every man's attention. They all wished she was an easy girl to get, Then everyone would have had a taste of her. She fought whoever tried to mess with her or her family.

Carmila never told Keisha the truth about her father or what happened to her years ago. Keisha grew up knowing, her father died right before she was born. She believed her mother, she never asked about him ever again.

Katherine and her boyfriend are entangled naked on the bed. In the darkness, An intense, heat moment was taking place.

Katherine was a spoiled brat, she's only 21 same age as keshia, she does whatever she wants. Her father never condone her bad behavior, but her mother protects her and let her do whatever she wants as well as her elder brother Joel, who is another problem to the family.

He holds her back and lifts are thighs, he lifts her up and down, she couldn't take. Katherine couldn't hold it, her moaning became long and loud.

Katherine Jumps up as the door kicks open and the lights turned on. Javier her boyfriend sits up with a stunned expression on his face.

" oh my God! what is all this Kathy! her mother shouted in disappointment. Not again!

" mom! damnit! she cursed. Her mother grabs her by the wrist, her bracelet tearing up loose, tumbling to the floor.

" Let me go mom! she screams trying to loose herself from her as she was so drunk.

" and you get out of my house! security! she called. Javier got dressed immediately, he run out of the room before the security guard could catch him.

" Let me go mom! I said let me go!

" am so disappointed in you! what if your father was the one who caught doing this! This is the second time this is happening Kathy! what's is wrong with you and you are drunk!

" am not a kid! just leave me alone mom! you ruined my day! She threw herself on the bed, her mother threw a blanket at her to cover her up.

" shuuut.. up! Am doing everything I can to cover your mess! once your father finds out about this! you will get it from him! Katherine's brother, walks in while smoking. Patricia got more angrier. Both her kids were driving her crazy. Joel! don't smoke in here! Go to your room!

" what's going on here! he queried.

" both of you are driving me crazy! she left Katherine's room. She was so furious, nanny Esther! she called. The nanny was very scared to even get closer to Patricia. But she tried to stop Katherine.

" ma... ma'am, she answered. Patricia gave Esther two hot slaps. But the nanny was a little old. She rubbed her cheeks that just turned red to ease the pain.

" How dare you allow that boy in my house to sleep with my daughter again!

" I tried my best ma'am, please believe me. Katherine brought him here.

" you are useless! There's nothing you do right in this house! What if my husband caught them!

" Am sorry ma'am, please don't slap me again am begging you! Patricia glared at the nanny before she went upstairs.

Keisha had so many customers at her fish stand. Many were jealous of her because everyone wanted to buy from her stand. She was nice and very social with everyone, she was known for her kindness and respect she gave others. Not only that, she was beautiful and fair.

" oh ma'am, thank you so much, you won't be disappointed with this fish I promise, she said to her last customer.

" oh dear, such a kind and Beautiful young lady, I admire you so much Keis, I wish you were my daughter. I will introduce you to my son once he comes back from the city.

" oh no ma'am, please don't, I have so many dreams, she giggles.

" I will go ahead now, the rich lady said.

" alright ma'am, come again tomorrow, she waved at the lady. Uuh! she sighed wiping down her cold sweat from her face. She then packs everything away, ready to go home.

" just Look at her mother! such a show off! She succeeded in stealing all our customers! Our fish is still here yet we caught the same fish earlier! Sharon complained.

" God knows what she put in her fish! The mother to the lady added. Both glared at Keisha in a disgusting way. Keisha heard that as they were just next to her stand.

" Hmm, she Cleared her throat, Mrs Lupe do you have any problems with me? she asked the woman.

" and why! Lupe Questioned.

" each time I make sells, you get really angry at me! please forgive me if I have done you wrong! We are a family here, it isn't nice to talk about someone like that, she spoke softly.

" you have the nerve to disrespect me! you bastard! the woman insulted.

" oh no Mrs Lupe! Am just going to pretend that I didn't hear you say that, am going to walk away, she said as people started gathering when they heard Lupe insult Keis.

" you Walk away! and tell that flirt of a mother to leave my husband alone! she added. Keisha got angry, she turned back to them.

" you called my mother a flirt! what about you huh! you are perfect! you want me to expose you and your dumb daughter in front of everyone! Lupe went quiet in an instant. She rolled her eyes on the side, she felt so Embarrassed by what keis just said to her. But I won't do it! because am nothing like you, Keisha added.

" that's enough dear, come on, let's just go home, Keisha's neighbor from the island said taking keis with her.

Carmilla heard what happened at the fish port, she was so angry at Lupe for humiliating her daughter. But she couldn't do anything, they were peaceful people.

" Keisha dear, she ran towards her daughter and gave her a hug. Am really sorry dear I heard what happened.

" mom, don't apologise! it's not your fault. They went too far this time! what's her problem anyway.

" forget about it, remember what I always tell you.

" No mom! I won't let anyone disrespect you or grandma! it isn't right! I didn't do anything wrong to them.

" I know sweetie but remember, we are not from here, that's why let's just forget about this.

" But we have been here even before I was born!

" your mother is right dear, Mrs Maria, her grandmother spoke as she walks outside.

" grandma, keis went to hug her. Fine! but next time they try that! they are going to get it from me!

" that's enough sweetie, come on, let's go inside, it's dark out here, Carmilla said holding Keisha by the hand.

Carmilla had a bad feeling about Keisha not returning home on time that evening. It's rare that her daughter would go home so late. Her mind was filled with bad thoughts, she prayed that history should not repeat itself.

" Oh mother I'm so worried about Keisha! she exclaimed feeling so nervous. Your granddaughter is so stubborn! I told her to go home early!

" Calm down Carmilla, maybe she had so many customers today. She will be here soon.

" I can't help it but worry mother! I will die if anything bad happens to my daughter! Please Lord keep her safe, she muttered a prayer.

Keisha slowly opens her sparkle brown eyes, she found herself in a strange room. She quickly sat up. Looking around, her heart beat so fast. She started to wonder how she got there and what happened to her.

" where the hell am I! she Questioned. Oh no! she recalled what happened. On her way back to the island, a man suddenly appeared and covered her nose, she tried fighting back but went unconscious. Who brought me! you better show your self! She yelled, then held her head in pain. Keisha left the bed, almost tripping, she was feeling weak. Finally got to the door and struggles to open it.

" where do you think you are going! a voice came from behind. She quickly turned in fear.

" General!

" that's right, he laughed. You think you are tough Keisha! he said taking a seat on the bed.

" what did you do to me! Keisha finding it hard to breathe.

" what a young girl should not know! he replied. Keisha's eyes widened in shock, her heart beat stopped beating for a second, her breathing become louder than it was.

" what..what.. do you mean? she said in a low voice unable to believe his words.

" Hmm, you are so pretty! who would resist such a sexy fresh young girl.

" you old fool what did you do to me! Keisha held the General's neck.

" don't worry, I wouldn't do something bad to you, he pushed her away from him. You know I love you keisha. I brought you here so you and I can talk.

" we have nothing to talk about! let me out of here my mother is worried sick about me!

" you mean my mother in law, he said then laughs again. You are playing hard to get again. I can give you a good life keisha, you and your mother won't have to suffer.

" I don't need your money General! you old fool! am not like those cheap girls you sleep with! you are so shameless! I pitty your wife! such a lovely and kind woman!

" You look more beautiful when you are angry my dear, he stood up from the chair. Enough talking, let's get into action princess!

" Don't you dare go closer to me! I will call the police! she held the cell phone she just took from the table.

" and you think they will believe you! now get over here! he pulled keisha closer to him and forcefully try to kiss her. Keisha bit his shoulder and pushed him on the bed. She tried to run but he held her leg and she fell on the floor.

" Someone help me please! she called for help then kicked the General on his chest. She rushed to the door and opened it. Outside, she met two fierce men who glanced at her. Keisha stood still, she didn't know what to do next. The general got up and clapped twice, one of them pushed Keisha back inside and locks the door.

" You see Keisha! This is what I hate the most about you! you are so stubborn! just like your mother! If you won't do what am asking you to do! I will make your lives a living hell in this island! I watched you grow into a sexy and beautiful young girl. Have always wanted to have a taste of you! but you won't give me a chance to! he said carressing her pink lips. Keisha shed tears as she listened to the horrible things the General said to her.

" Am not ready for whatever you are about to do to me, she said softly wiping down her tears. Just not today please General.

" But I want you in my bed right now Keisha, you will have a good time with me I promise. After that, I will buy a anything you want, house, car, name it it's all yours. He kissed her lips, Keisha was so disgusted with him. She was so furious and angry. But she played nice Inorder to trick the old man. Now come lay with me on the bed, I promise not to hurt you princess. Keisha slowly walked to him.

" Wait, can I use the bathroom, she said.

" of course sweetheart. But make quick, I can't wait any longer, he smiled at Keisha.

" why don't you relax, she helped the man to lie down on the bed.

" you see, we actually make a good couple, he added feeling comfortable on the bed. Keisha threw a flying kiss at him then turned away. She opened the door to the bathroom and locked herself in. Luckily she still had the phone with her. She looked through the window in the bathroom. unfortunately, it wasn't big enough to escape. She kept the water running inorder to make a quick call. All the General could hear was the sound of running water. Keisha took time in the bathroom, the general was beginning to suspect something. He quickly stood up and banged on the door. Keisha closed the tap immediately. She walked towards the door and opened it, just after hidding the phone.

" General! she quickly spoke.

" oh I thought you ran away, he smiled.

" why would I.

" come with me now, he pulled Keisha towards him. That's my girl. So pretty, he giggles then pushed Keisha on the bed. Before he could kiss her neck, his men barged in.

" General! it's the police! They are coming this way!

"what! Keisha punched the General's face and ran outside, she locked them in waiting for the police to get closer.

" what happened! One of the cops asked.

" They kidnapped me! she opened the door for the cops. He tried to force himself on Me! arrest them!

" You stupid girl! Officers! it's not what you think! this girl is lying! I will get you keisha!

" General you have to come to the station for Questioning.

" questioning! he tried to rape me! he should get arrested for this! Keisha said in anger.

" ma'am, we will need you too at the station, he said.

" mother am going to look for my daughter!

" Carmilla! it's dangerous!

" I don't care! I can't sit here and do nothing! I have to find Lisa and ask her! she's the only friend My daughter has!

" Be careful dear, Ms Maria said to Carmilla. Carmilla nodded, then closed the door behind her.

Katherine barged into her father's office and threw herself on his office chair.

" Ms Garcia please you are not allowed in here! I might lose my Job! your father warned me never to allow you in his office!

" and who are you to tell me what to do! My mother!

" ma'am please hear me out!

" Get out! this is my father's company! I have every right to be in here! You are just a hungry poor secretary! and what are you all looking at! get back to work! she screamed at the workers. The secretary shook her head in disappointment. She left the room as she couldn't do anything to stop Katherine. Katherine Looks around, she stood up and walked to the safe, she opened it and took a large sum of money. She hid it all in her handbag, fixed herself up then leaves the office.

" Fine! since am not heartless and I can't bare to see you lose your job! I will leave the company! she told the secretary. Bye! she laughed at the secretary before she leaving.

" she's so annoying! I have to lock Mr Garcia's office before Joel decides to show up! He is such a kind man, but got so unlucky with his children! she murmured.

Katherine drove to the canteen to see her friends. They were all excited to see Katherine.

" Girls!

" oh Kathy you are here.

" we are going out shopping!

" really! wow you are such a God sent Kathy.

" You can pick what you like! afterwards, we are going partying! I have all the cash in the world!

" oh wow! This is gonna be the best day.

" Jessy! are you coming or not! Kathy asked her friend.

" Am upset with my parents! they couldn't give me the money I asked from them!

" really! you are such a dummy! if they don't give it! then steal it! both Kathy and the other Alice said it at the same time followed by a loud laugh.

" the last time I tried that they caught me! I was grounded for a few days!

" Alice and I will teach you how! Now get up and let's go shopping.. uuuh!

" fine! she got up and tagged along with them. Kathy and her two friends were feared at college, the three girls never hang out with anybody else who is out of their league. They did whatever they wanted and no one dared to say something about their behavior or they would get it.
