Will Danny succeed in wooing the girl who had captured his heart? Or will he lose her forever once their deal was over?

Chapter 1 Pay Off The Debt

At the foot of the LJ Mountain and in front of the HB Lake stood Ye's Manor. Surrounded by nature's greatest gifts, the manor stood. It was brightly lit under the inky skies.

A woman stood quietly in front of the bed. The temptation of drawing him in was like an ice pick stabbing right through Danny Ye's chest. His chest rumbled at the thought.

She stiffened slightly,

turning around to look at the man standing behind her.

'It was her!

The woman!'

Her physical characters were much too similar to Sabella Ye's.

When Danny Ye met her back in the elevator, he couldn't help but feel drawn to her – like moths to a flame.

Now, she was here to repay her debts.

Not only did Danny Ye drive away the gangsters who bullied Amanda Gu, but he also left her a hundred thousand check to help her father pay off his debts.

Of course, everything came with a price. The price, this time, was none other than her body.

Now that he had appeared, Amanda Gu thought that there was no need to waste another minute. She quietly closed her eyes and prepared herself.

"Open your eyes. Don't you have anything to say to me?"

He furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. In fact, a part of him was expecting her to beg him to let her go. 'How could such an arrogant girl be so willing to give out her body?' he thought.

Amanda Gu opened her eyes. They were as cold as ice.

"I'm not here to talk," she responded snidely.

Without another word, Amanda Gu walked forward and wrapped her arms around Danny Ye's neck.

'Is it her first time?' he thought.

The stiffness of her body proved to be such. She gritted her teeth once she felt something hard pressing against her stomach.

"Remember this pain," he whispered in her ear. She shivered. "You're my woman."

Hearing his domineering words, she finally looked up into his eyes. Upon seeing her open gaze, Danny Ye pushed himself inside her. She gasped as he pumped again and again. During this time, she couldn't help but hate him deep in her heart.

She knew that each long and hard stroke was done on purpose.

The pain was almost unbearable for her, but she gritted her teeth and persisted. She wanted to think of happy thoughts. However, from the way he was acting, he wasn't even giving her time to think at all.

His fingers ran down her skin, settling on her breasts as he pushed deeper into her.

When he was finally done, she took a deep breath. The curtains were still swaying with the wind as if nothing had happened.

Immediately, Amanda Gu got out of bed and went straight to the window. She wrapped her coat around her body as she stared at the night.

"You're leaving? Don't you feel any pain?"

When she looked back, Danny Ye was already sitting up. His eyes glinted with an unknown emotion as he smirked at her.

Amanda Gu quickly put on her shoes and made her way towards the door. She was about to grab the handle when he asked her to stop.

She turned around. Disdain danced in her eyes as she stared at the wretched man. Without another thought, she said,

"If you want to see me again, then I guess you have to wait for a second chance to save me."

Seeing her disappear, his smile widened. Danny Ye leaned back against the pillows, shaking his head.

"You're mine now," he whispered.

...

Ever since her father learned that Amanda Gu had been chased by gangsters due to the money he owed them, he decided to quit gambling and take care of his family.

Amanda Gu was in a much better mood after that. Seeing that her father was returning to their home sober and calm, she was happier than anything else. Even her mother was proud for the improvement he'd made.

Her father was the one holding the entire family together. When he finally was able to pull himself together, the mother-and-daughter duo cheered in joy.

However, things didn't end in happy-ever-after. Three months later, when Bill Gu, Amanda's father, came back from work, he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his abdomen. After continued frustrations, he decided to go to the hospital for a check-up.

It was then when they discovered that he had gastric cancer! Right now, he was at stage three!

The news was like a thunderbolt to Amanda's family.

Her mother couldn't even bear the result. Upon finding out, she burst into tears and hid herself in her room for a few hours.

Amanda was at work when the results came back. After receiving a gut-wrenching call from the hospital, her heart thumped against her chest.

Once again, her happy family was in the process of falling apart.

Billy Gu would only have half a year to live if he didn't receive any treatment. However, according to the estimated fees, it would cost them at least 300,000 to 500,000.

For an ordinary family like Amanda, the price was more than what she could afford.

After a month of insisting, she was able to borrow a hundred thousand from all her relatives combined. With her mother's deposit of forty thousands, they still needed much more money left for the treatment.

Because of her father's predicament, Amanda couldn't even sleep at night. She lived in torment every day,

as she wondered who she would borrow from next.

She even lost a large amount of weight due to her stress.

Being the only daughter, even if everything went to shit, she still needed to pick herself up.

In the ward, she would plaster a smile on her face as she encouraged her father in fighting the cancer. However, once she would walk out the door, she would burst into tears and sob her heart out.

That day, Amanda walked out of the hospital. As she passed by the front gates, a woman handed her a hospital leaflet. She took it politely.

Turning over the pages, she saw that the story was about a man who had taken an advance of ten times his salary from the company in order to save his brother. The content was touching and piteous that it couldn't help but make people feel sorry for the pair.

That was when she got a thought. What if she got an advance herself?

With her current annual salary being fifty thousand. If she got an advance for five years, she might be able to pay all her father's operation fees. It would be better than borrowing some more money.

With this idea, Amanda felt light on her feet. As long as she'd do this, the hope of her father's treatments going well was hopeful.

However, as she sat in her office, she stirred and hesitated at the thought of asking such a thing.

Amanda was already rehearsing on how she would ask Danny for cash. However, every time she thought of his indifferent face, she felt even more restless.

Not every boss was as kind-hearted as the boss in the story!

Moreover, she knew for a fact that Danny wasn't kind.

She closed her eyes, taking a deep breath. Even through her uneasiness, she plucked up the little courage she had left and grabbed her phone.

Without another thought, Amanda carefully dialed his number.

Chapter 2 No Waste

'Please answer it, Mr. Danny,' Amanda begged in her heart. This wasn't Danny's private number, so normally, his assistant would answer the phone. It would be harder for her to contact him.

Just as Amanda was pleading in her thoughts, her call was finally connected. It was Danny's assistant who came onto the line to her disappointment. "Hello?"

"This is Amanda, the assistant from the Ye Group Branch. Is Mr. Danny with you now?" she said calmly as she twirled her pen.

"Mr. Danny went to New York last night. Do you have any urgent case to take up with him?"

'What?

He's in New York?'

Amanda's shoulders sagged in disappointment as she leaned against her seat. "No. Thank you, Jake."

Once Amanda hung up, Jake Lin furrowed his eyebrows in curiosity. He couldn't help but feel that she was hiding something from him. He saw the woman once or twice when he and Danny went over the branch company for an inspection.

He was curious as to her relationship with his boss.

Jake Lin had seen plenty of women around Danny, and they were all around the same type. They had model-type physiques and were charming and sweet all around.

Amanda, however, was a far cry from the ladies that Danny brought around.

As Jake Lin was guessing, his phone rang. He picked it up, freezing when he realized that the call was from his boss. "Mr. Danny," he greeted.

"I'll be in the company at four in the afternoon. Hurry up and sort the documents of all the major shareholders for a meeting at five," he ordered lowly.

"Yes, sir," Jake Lin responded almost automatically. He wondered if he should tell his boss of Amanda's call.

From his instinct, he could tell that Amanda and his boss had something going on. Even if there wasn't, if something had been wrong with one of the branches, Danny would've wanted to be right on it. Jake Lin didn't want to cause any trouble.

Without another thought, he said, "Mr. Danny, Amanda from the other branch contacted me today, looking for you."

"Did she say anything?" he asked coldly.

"No, but it sounds like she has an important thing to say to you."

"Okay." He hung up.

----

In an international hotel in New York, Danny stood in front of a spacious French window. He stared at the view of bright skies and high buildings.

His clean shirt was unbuttoned, exposing his well-built chest. His dark hair was messy, emphasizing his defined jawline and his dark eyes.

He twirled his phone in his fingertips, as if deep in thought. Danny stared at the skyline, pursing his lips. Suddenly, a pair of slender hands slithered around his hips like a snake. Soon enough, her fingers went up to his chest. "Danny," she moaned passionately as she pulled him closer towards her. "I want you."

----

With the advance payment in her mind, Amanda didn't eat or sleep. All she could think about was Danny.

She couldn't help but think on what she would do if he refused her. Danny had already taken her virginity, so it wasn't as if she had anything else to give to him.

If he actually paid her, she had to work hard.

Even then, Amanda was still unsure with everything. After all, Danny was not an easy-going man. In fact, everyone in the company was terrified of him.

She closed her eyes, not wanting to imagine the consequences. If he refused, she might as well just sign her father's death certificate.

The hairs on the back of her neck stood up when she thought of the time he lay with her. He had said that he'd compensate her after that, but she refused. It would be a slap against her self-esteem.

She had never regretted such a decision.

However, with her current situation, it seemed that her self-esteem had to be put aside. After everything, would he still compensate her? Amanda shook her head.

She spent the whole night tossing and turning as she tried to figure out what to do.

---

The next day, she got up early and brought some breakfast to her parents.

One look at her mother and she realized that she was also suffering from sleepless nights. Seeing the bags underneath her eyes, Amanda felt even more determined to ask Danny for help.

As soon as she arrived at her office, she called Danny's assistant to confirm his location.

When Jake said that he would be at the main headquarters, her heart sank in disappointment.

However, he then told her better news. At three in the afternoon, Danny would come to the branch company for a meeting.

She almost jumped in excitement.

Amanda spent the entire day working. However, her mind was still very much occupied by Danny. In fact, she even made several mistakes in archiving her files.

Fortunately, she was able to correct it. She drank a cup of coffee, forcing herself to calm down.

At noon, she had a simple lunch before rushing back to her office.

Amanda sighed. She had always done things alone. 'Why can't I have friends?' she thought to herself as she went back to her office.

Ever since she had entered the company, so many rumors circulated around her arrival that made her shine differently in the eyes of her female colleagues. They were bitter with her success so they normally strayed away from her.

Plus, she was at a much higher rank than the older people who had worked there for more than five years. They were jealous, but that didn't stop Amanda from trying to make an effort to befriend them.

However, her attempts only ended in small talks, which she hated.

In order to see Danny as soon as possible, Amanda waited in the hall at two. She pretended to scan at the documents, but really, but she was actually glancing at the door. She knew for a fact that his schedule was tight, so she needed to seize any time she was given.

Finally, at half past two, a familiar figure appeared outside the door. Following him were several suited men.

As soon as he entered the front gates, he whispered something to the person beside him before making his way to his exclusive elevator.

Seeing Danny coming over, she bowed her head respectfully. "Mr. Danny," she greeted.

Upon seeing her pale face, his heart skipped a bit. However, Danny quickly recovered as he nodded at the slender woman before making his way into his elevator.

Chapter 3 I Won't Pay For It

Amanda's heart sank. She wanted to follow him to the elevator, but she remembered the previous warning to her. That was his exclusive elevator, and no one was allowed to use it except for him.

In other people's eyes, Danny was very polite. Even if his subordinates greeted him, he would take time out of his day to greet them back.

However, there was just something in his eyes that would intimidate anyone who approached him.

Amanda immediately ran to the public elevator at the other side, hoping to meet him as soon as possible. Besides, she didn't have much time left.

Glancing at the documents in her hands, a smile crept into her lips. It would be a good chance for her to enter his office with these documents. She took a deep breath before dialing his office number. "Hello." A deep and magnetic voice came from the other end of the line.

"Hello, Mr. Danny. This is Amanda. I have documents that you should sign," she said calmly.

"Send it to me." Danny hung up almost immediately.

Amanda took a deep breath. Although she wanted to see him, she still couldn't help but be afraid of seeing him soon.

With his intimidating stance, she was afraid that she'd be too timid to say a word.

However, knowing what was lying at stake, Amanda plucked up her courage and grabbed the documents tightly. Without another thought, she went up to the twenty-first floor.

Before she had another chance to back out, the elevator had already arrived.

Amanda walked into his office.

Danny was a rare man. He was rich. In fact, he was probably one of the richest man in the city, but instead of spending all his cash for fun, he was sitting on his office desk while he read through important documents.

He was responsible and serious. Even tabloids couldn't find anything against him.

However, it was just that type of man that could intimidate people. They knew for a fact that he was a 'no-bullshit' type.

Amanda placed the documents in front of him. She half expected that he'd look up at her and prompt her to speak.

However, he didn't even look up as he continued reading. "You may leave now," he said coldly.

She took a deep breath, trying to get a hold of herself. Didn't he once say that she was his woman?

Even if she had refused him, he wouldn't hate her that much, would he?

Amanda couldn't understand why he'd act so indifferent after what happened the past months.

She chewed on her lower lip for a few seconds before opening her mouth. "Mr. Danny, I actually have something to discuss with you."

Finally, Danny raised his head from the file he was reading and stared at her. "Say it," he ordered.

Amanda swallowed nervously as his intimidating gaze fell on her.

Thinking of her father on the hospital bed, she blinked. "A month ago, my father was found out that he has gastric cancer. It's already at stage three. He needs a large sum of money for his treatment. I was hoping if I could get a five-year-advance of my salary to pay it off."

Hearing her words, Danny frowned. An unknown emotion flashed into his eyes as seconds had passed. Amanda held her breath and lowered her head, not daring to look at him in the eye.

He sighed. "I feel sorry for your father, and I sympathize with your situation, but I'm afraid it would be difficult for me to hand you the five year advance."

Her eyes widened. "Mr. Danny, please! As long as you're willing to help me, I'll do my best work in the next five years. Please."

"Do you really want to account your salary?" His eyes squinted.

Amanda stared at him for a long time, not knowing what he meant. "Yes."

"The director of this branch company will be removed soon. Being the assistant, you'll also be fired. Do you really think you could last for five years?"

he said indifferently. In fact, there was even a mocking tone embedded in his words.

His words almost knocked her over. If it hadn't been for her sheer will, she would've already fainted.

'What the hell? Did I heard that right?'

It felt as if time had frozen into place as her hopes came crashing down. Only God knew how much she needed this job.

"I..." she stuttered out, at a loss for words.

Danny's eyes darkened. He knew for a fact that his words hurt her deeply, but his icy heart wouldn't allow him to help her.

He was running a company, not a charity after all.

However, after looking deep into her eyes, he couldn't help but feel a tug in his heart. Danny stayed silent as he wondered on how she'd react. ... Amanda took a deep breath. She felt as if her whole world was finally falling apart as she stared in disbelief. It seemed that she was done for. Her father was done for. Amanda clenched her fists, shutting her eyes close as she tried to claw at every other option that soared through her mind. Suddenly,

she came up with an idea.

Amanda stood stiffly, her heart tightening in her chest. "Do you remember what you once told me?" she asked wearily.

"What?" He raised his eyebrows.

Her cheeks colored tomato red as she stuttered out the next words. "Didn't you say that you'd be responsible for that night?"

Danny smirked, finally understanding what she wanted to say. "I've actually forgotten about it. Do you?" he said snidely.

In reality, he remembered it very well.

Amanda avoided his gaze. "It was my first time," she choked out. "I hope you can give me some compensation."

Shame welled up in her chest. It was as if she had just thrown her dignity into the dirt.

It was torture for her to imply that he needed to pay her.

Danny stared at her with interest.

In his mind, Amanda wasn't a shy woman. In fact, right now, she was already extorting him for cash!

It was undeniable that she was attracted to him and vice versa. From the two times that he had fucked her, he came out a satisfied man. That was the only advantage he saw with that arrangement.

He shrugged. "That transaction has already expired," he said lazily. "I won't pay for it."
