Celia Kane woke up in a trance, finding herself weak and dizzy. The most bizarre thing was that she was wearing a wedding dress.
Several bodyguards held her and were about to force her into a bridal car.
"Wait! What are you doing? Let go of me!" Celia was in a panic. She couldn't believe what was happening.
"This is Mr. Kane's order. Get in the car now," shouted one of the bodyguards in a loud and terrifying voice.
Celia was taken aback. She almost couldn't believe that this was her father's idea.
She was shocked and confused at the same time, trying to recall what had happened.
Two hours ago, her father, Adrien Kane, told her that he had accidentally found her mother's belongings in the attic. He asked her if she wanted to come back and take them with her.
Celia had moved out at the age of seventeen. Since then, she had never stepped into her father's house. And if it weren't for her mother's belongings, she would have never come back again.
When she arrived home, Adrien asked her to stay for a meal. Actually, she was a little suspicious because it was very uncharacteristic of him to say that. So she only took a sip of the juice. But she didn't expect that it was enough to make her pass out. When she woke up, what happened was beyond her imagination.
Celia was weak due to the drug. But she had practiced karate for years to keep herself in great shape. She had to do something now to save herself.
"No, I won't get in that car." She pressed her shoulders against the car door to resist. Then she firmly said, "What the hell is going on? If this is really Adrien's order, I want to hear it directly from him."
Right after she said that, a slightly apologetic voice rang out behind her. It was Adrien.
"Celia, if I have options, I won't do this. Just do as I say. Get in the car and get married."
Celia jerked her head up and saw Adrien standing there. Beside him were her stepmother Mabel and her half-sister Cerissa.
Adrien was always remote and impersonal to her. But now, he looked so embarrassed that he didn't dare to look into her eyes.
"Cut the crap! We raised her for years, and she owes it to us. Now that our company is in trouble, it's time for her to repay us."
Mabel stepped forward and looked down at Celia arrogantly. "Don't say I'm a bad stepmother. In fact, you should be thanking me. It is a good thing that you marry into the Shaw family. You will live a luxurious life that most people dream of. Everyone will be envious of you. Your mother is watching you from heaven. She must be glad to see this now."
Celia glared at Mabel viciously when she mentioned her late mother.
"A despicable homewrecker like you doesn't have the right to decide on my marriage."
"Humph!" Mabel's face turned livid with anger. But she soon sneered, "Yes, I'm a homewrecker, and I have no control over you. But now, our Kane Group is in danger. Our family is facing a crisis. The Shaw family is willing to help us as long as you marry into their family."
She bent over and grabbed Celia's hair, pulling her closer. "You are your father's first child, so you have to do something for the Kane Group, even if it means that you have to sacrifice your marriage and happiness.
Besides, how can marrying into the Shaw family be considered a sacrifice? The Shaw family is the wealthiest in Hosworth. Many women would kill to marry into this family."
Celia sneered, "If so, why don't you let your daughter take the chance?"
"Celia, you misunderstand Mom."
Cerissa put on a worried look and said hypocritically, "Mom wanted me to marry into the Shaw family. But when Dad found out that I would marry Tyson Shaw, he disagreed. Everyone knows that Tyson had a car accident, and his face was disfigured. He is very weak now, and he may die at any time. How can I marry such a man? You know Dad. He can't bear to see me suffer, so he came up with this idea."
She looked pitiful as she said this. Then she continued between sobs, "Celia, please don't blame Dad. Just blame me."
Celia's heart sank. Overwhelmed by anger and disappointment, she looked at Adrien coldly.
She and Cerissa were both his daughters. But he chose to set her up for the sake of his beloved daughter, Cerissa. This was her "good" father.
Still, Adrien didn't raise his head to look at Celia. Mabel took this opportunity and commanded the bodyguards to push Celia into the car. Celia tried to struggle, but her effort was in vain. She was no match for these strong bodyguards.
Before the car started, Cerissa walked over to Celia. There were tears in her eyes, but her lips curved into a victorious smile.
"Celia, I almost forgot to tell you something." Her voice was so low that only the two of them could hear it.
"The drug that Dad put in your juice could only make you unconscious. But I secretly added some aphrodisiac in it."
Cerissa's smile became more arrogant and complacent, totally different from her pitiful look just now. "Today is your big day. As your sister, I will give you a big gift later."
Celia was so furious that she struggled desperately. She really wanted to slap Cerissa hard.
"No need to thank me. Just enjoy it."
With a sinister smile, Cerissa slammed the door and signaled the driver to immediately drive away.
The car started and sped away. In the car, Celia was still held tightly by a bodyguard. Her widened eyes were full of hatred.
Celia was thinking about some countermeasures. Under the influence of the drug, she was weak all over. And there was a bodyguard in the car guarding her. Obviously, it was not feasible to fight recklessly.
The bridal car went farther and farther. But the strange thing was, it gradually drove to a remote place.
It was not heading to the Shaw family's house.
As the wealthiest and the most powerful family in Hosworth, the Shaws couldn't possibly live in such a desolate area.
Celia got flustered at once.
Could it be that this was the "big gift" that Cerissa mentioned?
Before she could think further, she felt a burst of heat coming from within her body, and a lustful red glow appeared on her cheeks.
Oh, crap! The aphrodisiac kicked in.
Celia was so anxious.
When the bodyguard saw her flushed face, he did not hide the obscenity in his eyes. He pressed her on the seat, smiled lewdly, and said, "It seems that the aphrodisiac has taken effect."
Celia twisted her body and struggled desperately. But the waves of lust gradually devoured her consciousness.
"Don't worry. I'll help you right now."
The bodyguard shackled her hands and fiddled with her wedding dress frivolously.
The driver glanced at the rearview mirror from time to time. And when he saw Celia's delicate skin under the wedding dress, he became more and more uneasy. He urged the bodyguard, "Hurry up! I'll bang her after you. Don't forget to take a video. Miss Kane has specially ordered that."
It turned out that this was the "big gift" that Cerissa meant.
Celia was so disgusted by their filthy words. When she saw that the two men were laughing evilly, relaxing their vigilance, she seized the opportunity to grab the steering wheel.
The driver was scared out of his wits as he didn't expect her to do such a thing. "You are a lunatic! Do you want us to die together?"
Although the bodyguard kept pulling Celia back, the driver was still in a panic, so he failed to stabilize the steering wheel.
In the blink of an eye, the bridal car lost control and collided with an oncoming limited-edition limo.
The bridal car was thrown a few meters away. The bodyguard and the driver were knocked dizzy. Celia's head hit the window, too, so she was also giddy.
But she did her best to remain conscious. It was the right time to run away.
Celia didn't mind the pain all over her body. She kicked the bodyguard with all her strength, opened the car door, and fled without looking back.
The driver and bodyguard swiftly got out of the car to pursue Celia.
On the other hand, the limited-edition limo came to a halt after being struck.
The two guys in suits on the front seats got out quickly. One of them checked the car immediately, while the other stood respectively in front of the rear door. He bowed and said, "I'm sorry."
The man in the automobile stepped out of the car and answered the phone, which had been ringing for a while.
A stern and irate voice was heard on the other end of the line. "What have you been doing? The bride is almost here, but you have not yet returned. Do you think that we would hold such a wedding ceremony for you if you were not my son? Hosworth is enormous. You can't even get yourself a wife. How long do you plan to humiliate our family?"
"I am no longer a member of the Shaw family. I do not intend to return."
Then the man abruptly hung up the phone.
After inspecting the car, his assistant Briar returned to his side and said, "Everything should be alright and will not delay your appointment with Mr. O'Brien."
The man's face was devoid of emotions. "Keep driving. Godwin, you handle the remaining issues."
Then the man entered the car.
As soon as Celia saw the man was about to leave, she hurried forward and placed her hand in front of the closing door.
She had a large red mark on her palm because she stopped the car from closing.
There was nobody else around. It was her only chance to escape.
Attempting to get inside the car to escape her perilous predicament, she continued to behave rashly. She stared at the guy in the car with tears in her eyes and begged, "Please help me!"
The man bowed his head and regarded her with an intense gaze. Her gorgeous eyes were filled with tears.
The driver and bodyguard responsible for delivering Celia also arrived at this moment. The driver saw that the vehicle in front of him was costly, so he suppressed his fear and wrath and said courteously, "I apologize for hitting your car just now, sir. But it's simply an accident. It is our fault. We were in a rush to deliver the bride on time to the Shaw family."
Although he seemed courteous, he was implying that the most important thing now was to send the bride to the Shaws or the repercussions of offending this wealthy family would be awful.
The man remained silent with a look of comprehension in his eyes. This was not the way to the Shaw family's house.
Celia madly shook her head. The aphrodisiac had permeated her whole body, rendering her unable of organizing her words to refute.
She just grabbed the man's clothing and refused to release him. She attempted to tolerate the anguish as best as she could and muttered, "Sir, don't...please don't trust him. They...they want to rape me. I need... your help."
Agitated, the driver yelled, "Nonsense!"
He faced the man and said, "I strongly suggest you don't meddle with this. Getting into a fight with the Shaw family is not a wise decision."
After all, the Shaw family was the most dominant clan in Hosworth.
The man regarded Celia with a frosty expression.
Her eyes were hazy. Her face was as red as a crimson cloud, and her shoulders were uncovered.
He frowned, removed his coat, and slung it over Celia's shoulders. "Get inside the car."
Celia entered the car with gratitude as if it were a lifeline.
Briar swiftly shut the door, preventing the two individuals outside from approaching her.
Seeing this, the driver threatened, "How dare you! Do you realize the repercussions of going against the Shaw family?"
"All I know are the repercussions of offending me."
His tone was as frigid as ice. Looking outside the car, he ordered Godwin, "Get rid of them."
He then turned to face Briar. "Let's go."
Celia felt a great sense of relief when she saw them getting farther and farther away from her.
Looking at the man beside her, she said sincerely, "Thank you, sir."
He was breathtakingly handsome, like a marble sculpture. However, there was a coldness in his eyes that could make anyone freeze in fear.
Celia was also shivering until she met his gaze, which drove a little consciousness into her. However, after just a few moments, she felt the discomfort in her body worsen. Trembling waves of heat swept through her body.
She had the man's suit jacket over her shoulders, which smelled like cologne and tobacco. She pulled the jacket tightly, trying to calm down.
Although the man sensed that something was wrong with her, he did not move. He just sat there in silence, observing her.
She was indeed pretty, pure, and lovely. His gaze suddenly met hers. Just by looking into her eyes, he could feel the raging desire in her body that she was struggling to suppress. However, her eyes... They were filled with sadness.
He suddenly thought of the car accident that his brother had planned.
He had only been twenty at that time, and had gotten into a car accident with his mother. He had soon fallen unconscious and everything around him had become blurry. But he vaguely remembered that a girl had taken them to the hospital.
However, unfortunately for him, by the time he had regained consciousness, the girl had left, and his mother had passed away from her severe injuries.
Over the years, he had been collecting evidence to find out the truth of the car accident and the whereabouts of that girl.
He hadn't seen her clearly back then, but he remembered that she had sad yet beautiful eyes. There was something unique and unforgettable about them.
As he sat still, lost in thought, the place fell as silent as a grave.
But the next second, Celia pounced on him and they fell on the seats. The noise was so loud that even Briar, who was concentrating on driving, was startled.
"I feel so hot... Can... Can you... help me?"
Celia couldn't control her desire any longer.
She tried to strip the man beside her and stroked his muscular chest. The moment her fingertips touched his skin, she felt pleasure.
The man's expression turned cold. He could tell that she was drugged.
Briar tentatively asked, "Boss, what about the meeting with Mr. O'Brien?"
"Reschedule it. Drive back to the mansion."
*
In the Hillside Mansion.
Celia curled up in the man's arms, looking at the mansion with her misty eyes.
The mansion was the only building in the area. It was built in a classic style with bas-reliefs on the outer walls. Only a master architect could have designed a building so luxurious and elegant.
The decor on the inside was more exquisite than the outside. Several famous paintings were hung on one of the walls, adding a sense of vintage charm to the otherwise modern interiors.
Noticing the numerous security cameras in the house, Celia figured that the man beside her was not just anyone.
The man carried her into the bathroom and put her into the bathtub. A cold sensation came from her back, so she instinctively wrapped her arms around his neck.
"It's so cold..."
Although she seemed to be complaining, there was a strange warmth in her eyes.
"It won't take long."
The man caressed her back to comfort her, but she was unwilling to let go. He had to turn on the shower, hoping that the cold water would extinguish her burning desire.
But even after ten minutes under the cold shower, she did not get better.
In fact, he also felt hot under her touch.
The buttons at the top of his shirt came undone, revealing his strong and defined chest.
Fascinated by the silky feeling of his smooth skin, she could not help but lean her face on his chest.
"Please, help me..."
"Do you know who I am?" He wrapped his arms around Celia's slender waist.
Celia shook her head.
"Always remember my name." The man then whispered his name near her ear.
However, Celia was already overwhelmed by lust, and she only vaguely heard a word "Reyes". She was not in the mood to think about it. She just kept clinging to the man, begging and flirting with him.
The man's desire was ignited, and he couldn't control it anymore.
In the end, he surrendered. The man picked Celia up and walked to the bed in the bedroom. Then he put her down, very gently for no reason.
"I want... I want you. Do me..." Celia murmured, stripping off the man's clothes.
