Surprise Wedding

Ivanna just graduated with her best friend, Ivy Simmons. Some of their friends decided to hang out and go clubbing to the famous club, The Ash Club in USA. She was wildly dancing when her phone was ringing.

"Ugh, Ivy who is it?" she asked. Ivy took out her phone.

"it's your mom!" she mouthed.

"Oh shit!" she cursed.

She quickly grabs her phone to her and ran out from the club, her parents were so strict for her to let her go out and go on a club with some sort of her friends.

"Hello mom." She spoke.

"Honey, we need you to come home as fast as you can." Her mom from the other line said. She was shocked and surprised.

"Mom, my flight is still by the second week of the month." She said groaning.

"I know but you need to come home immediately." By that, her mom ended the call.

She was spectacularly hopeless, she went back inside to find out that her friends were all drunk and expectedly, Ivy was the only one who isn't.

"So, what did she say?" Ivy asks her, she groaned.

"I hate it, they're telling me to go home." She spoke.

"What? All of a sudden!" Ivy said.

"Obviously, I don't know but she told me to go home as soon as possible." She groaned.

Ivy was hopeless to help her out, it was already her parents they were both talking. They decided to go home already. Ivy Simmons is also daughter of her parents' business partner. She was with her since they were in college. Early in the morning, Ivanna and Ivy packed her things off and got on the very first flight going home to London. Ivy sent her off to the airport.

"So, this is it." She hugs her.

"I'm going to miss you!" Ivy hugs her tightly.

"Going to miss you too!" she said back.

Ivy and Ivanna was waving goodbye to each other, it was hard for Ivanna to leave her but her parents needed her. After few hours, she just landed to the London airport. She messages her mother about it and that they already sent their driver to fetch her up.

"Welcome home Miss Ivanna!" the driver said.

"Thank you, uncle, Roman." She said smiling.

The driver puts her baggage to the trunk, she quickly went inside to rest.

"Ugh." She sighed.

"So, how's going on with my parents?" she asked him.

"Well, they were doing good." He replied. Ivanna just nodded. They had just arrived to their gate.

"It's good to be finally home." She spoke. She was shocked to see two cars outside their mansion. "Uncle Roman, who are here?" she asked. Uncle Roman went pale, that moment she realized something is strange. She quickly headed inside and the maids greeted her.

"Miss Ivanna, they are in the dining." The maid said.

"Thank you." She smiled. She headed right straight to their dining, to see her parents talking to a three unfamiliar person for her.

"Hi." She blurted. All of them stared at her, she was nervous but she just managed to smile.

"Oh dear, nice timing." Her mom and dad stood up to hug her.

"Alright, is she Ivanna already?" the adult man asks her parents.

"Yes, she is definitely." her dad proudly replied. She was staring at the three pairs of eyes, the two adults were smiling at her and the only one guy who looks like aged like her, was just staring at her with no expression at his face but he was handsome, she thought.

"Honey, sit down." Her mom told her. She sits beside her mom and facing the guy who is just staring at her.

"Mom, who are they?" she asks her mother. Mr. Hendrix clears his throat.

"Ivanna, this is Mr. Abraham Villareal, his wife Genevieve and his son, Ashford. They're here for some sort of important agreement with us." Her dad said. She was awed.

"Ow, what agreement?" she asked them. Her parents went silent and pale.

"Mom, Dad?" she asked again. No one's talking when Ashford spills the information for them.

"You're going to marry me." He said in a straight tone. Ivanna thought he was just making it up but her parents agreed with what he said. She doesn't want to make a scene in front of their visitors so she just acted like she was agreed with it.

"So, you're going to marry sooner the better." Mrs. Villareal said. Ivanna was quiet during the entire dinner; she can't focus to eat for what she just knew. Ashford was also staring at her and he knows that she is just acting not to embarrass her parents.

"So, Ivanna. You just graduated right?" Mr. Villareal ask. She nodded.

"From Harvard right, OH our son also graduated there with an honor of being the cum laude." Mrs. Villareal was proud.

"Is that so? Our Ivanna also just graduated being the cum laude!" her mom said. Ivanna just rolled her eyes; she was just playing at her food. She lost her appetite knowing she's going to marry the man who is in front of her.

She was waiting for the dinner meeting to be finished. She was relieved when they left. Her parents were eager to leave her.

"Mom, Dad. What kind of surprise is this?" she asked them.

She's not angry but she's just curious. She already knew that this is going to happen, in fact they are rich and that arranged marriage do exist to their vocabulary.

"I'm sorry honey, we just need to cooperate." her dad said.

Her parents explained their side and Ivanna wasn't angry with them. She was staring at her ceiling; she was thinking what if she'll run away from her groom. She just sighed and prayed telling God to guide and save her from distresses at all rimes to be exact. Her parents were very sorry and they wanted to give her freedom but it wasn't just enough.

Ivanna woke up early, decided to take a shower.

"Honey, come down later for breakfast." her mom knocks at her door.

"Noted, mommy." she said.

She let the water flow down through her entire body, she felt relieved and safe.

"Gosh, I can't believe I'm going to marry soon." she blurted.

She quickly puts on her comfortable outfit, her shorts paired with her loose t-shirt. She headed directly to their dining to eat some breakfast; she was shocked to see Ash eating with her parents.

"Oh my." she said.

"Good morning." Ash smiled.

Ivanna just sarcastically smiled at him and sits in front of him.

"Honey, Dwayne came here because we wanted you both to get to know each other before your wedding day." her dad said, she was startled.

"For what reason?" she asked.

She just eats her breakfast. Ash was just staring at her, and telling his mind that she's not just an ordinary girl.

"Honey, you should respect our decision." her dad said.

"Okay, fine." she said.

"Go on and eat your breakfast, and go upstairs to change your outfit. You're not going out like that, are you?" her mom.

Ivanna just rolled her eyes and finished her breakfast. Ash waited for her while talking to Mr. Hendrix.

"Dwayne, I want you to tolerate my daughter's attitude sometimes." Langston Hendrix told him.

Ash just smiled at him, telling him not to worry that he can handle her.

"Thank you for accepting my daughter." he said.

Ash inside him was frowned out, he doesn't even want to marry Ivanna but with their parents' consent, he's doomed. Ivanna wore her summer dress; it is a simple floral dress and she paired with her slipper sandal.

"Oh honey, you're so gorgeous." Tina Hendrix, her mother said.

Ash and her father heard her mother calling her name, they turned around to face her. Ash was taken away by her beauty. It's not hidden that she's so pretty, Ash can see that she was very interested in fashion shows.

"Okay, go and enjoy kids." they waved at them.

Ivanna went inside his black Honda accord; she was amazed that his car was just simple and clean. Ash noticed that she was rooming her eyes around his car.

"Don't worry, my car is very clean." he said.

Ivanna was just mute. No one is talking along the road, but Ivanna thought of asking him questions.

"Ash, right?" she asks.

"Probably call me Dwayne." he said.

But Ivanna thought 'Ash' is cooler than Dwayne.

"No, I want to call you Ash. Right, Ash." she said.

Ash stops the car making her bump to the front.

"Ouch." she groaned.

Ash stares at her and puts on her seatbelt, she was shocked that his face was near to hers.

"You should always put on your seatbelt." he said.

Ivanna thought he was so strict and serious. All she does was to stare at him while driving and Ash didn't even stare at her even once.

"Will you quit staring at me." he said making her startled.

"I'm sorry." she said.

Ivanna just focused her eyes to the windows; she can see the bright sky with many clouds. She noticed that the aircon was off, so she just opened the window making Ash shout in an instance.

"What the hell?!" he shouted.

"What?" she asked.

"Why did you open it?" he asked.

"I'm sorry but the aircon is off and perhaps it's better to inhale a natural fresh air." she said proudly.

Ash thought she was so stubborn, that her father told him to endure her attitude sometimes. Ash groaned and just didn't mind her.

"So, where are we going?" she asked.

"Where do you want to?" he asked.

Ivanna was thinking of a nice place.

"Can you take me to the park?" she asked him.

Ash just stared at him with a curious face.

"Park?" he asked.

Ivanna nodded. Ash just droves. Later they park his car to the parking area, Ivanna was excited to play to the park. Ash thought she was so childish.

"I'm sorry, i just missed playing." she said.

Ash just ignored her and sits to the bench watching her playing with kids. Ash found himself smiling, Ivanna was fond of kids he can see. Ivanna catch him staring at her, she waves her hand to him.

"Come on!" she shouted.

Ash just ignored her, but he was shocked to see the kids whom she was playing with were running towards him.

"Big brother, come on and let's play." the boy said and holds his right hand.

"I'm sorry, I don't like." he said.

They boy's face went sad but the girl took his left hand.

"Come on, please." the girl pouted.

Ash managed to smile and he agreed to go with them. Ivanna was happy that they could take Ash to play with them.

"Great! Good thing you came." she said.

"They want me to." he said.

They played many games, The little boy and the little girl left with their nannies, it turns out that they're twins, fraternal exactly.

"Gosh, I'm thirsty." Ivanna said.

"Come on, I know some snack house here." he said.

Ivanna was overwhelmed that Ash talks more a lot than before; he took her to the nearest snack house. They have many foods, street foods, hamburgers, corndogs, and so on. Ivanna's eyes went bigger staring at it. Ash could see that she was so hungry and thirsty.

"Come on, grab what you like." he said.

Ivanna excitedly picks many foods. She misses to eat like those, all they eat to USA were some natural dishes. Ash also bought many of his foods. They eat and eat, until they were very full.

"Thank you." she said.

"For what?" he asked.

"For taking me here and paying my foods." she said smiling.

Ash just scoffs.

"It doesn't matter." he said.

Ivanna could see that he was well educated through his actions and the way he talks to someone.

"Ash." she blurted.

"I said, stop calling me that." he said.

Ivanna could see his reaction every time she calls him, Ash.

"Why so? It looks cool in you." she said.

Ash just glared at her.

"So, can we go to the mall?" she asked.

Ash just nodded, he has nowhere to know to go. They went to the mall; Ivanna has many things to buy and that he used him as his bag carrier.

"Gosh, what do you think of me?" he rehearsed.

Ivanna just smiled at him.

"Sorry, I just need them." she said.

"This is our last destination." he said.

Ivanna just laughed, she can see that he's being irritated and pissed. They were on their way to the parking lot when someone bumps at Ivanna, making all the bags she was holding to drop to the floor.

"Gosh!" Ivanna stated.

"Are you blind?" the woman said.

Ivanna was pissed.

"Excuse me, but you're the one who bumps with me." Ivanna said.

The woman was an inch taller than her, she's pretty and sexy as well but dumb.

"What? It's you exactly." the woman said.

Ash was just watching them; he doesn't want to meddle with their fight.

"God, never mind." Ivanna said and bent down to pick her bags.

"Don't." Ash holds her hand to stop picking them.

The woman turned her eyes to Ash, she was turned to a saint. Ivanna scoffs and glared at her.

"Hi." the woman said, flirting with him.

But Ash was just staring at her.

"Lady, you should be the one who's picking those." he said.

The woman was felt ashamed, she was shocked.

"But, it's her fault." she said.

"I saw it all, it was you who's not looking." he said.

The woman went red, she stares at Ivanna and that Ivanna was smiling some sort of victory. The woman just bent down to pick all her bags.

"Here." she handed.

"Good." Ivanna said smiling.

"Thank you, let's go." he said.

The woman was staring at their backs, Ivanna stared at her back and gave her and lift her middle finger to her making the woman in shock.

"Ivanna." Ash said.

Ivanna quickly chased him.

"Thank you for helping me out." she said.

Ash was just driving, no answer at all.

"By the way, you can call me Candice." she said.

Ash was certified and curious.

"Why so?" he asked.

"Nothing, I just want you to call me on my other name." she said.

Ash didn't retort, he just focused to drive. Ivanna was talking and talking, Ash wants to puts some headphone.

"Will you zip your mouth for even minutes?" he finally asked.

Ivanna felt insulted yet happy, it was the first time Ash confronted her.

"I'm sorry but I'm really like this, you know very talkative and noisy." she said.

"Ugh, why am I going to stuck up with this woman." he whispers but she heard it.

"I heard that." she said.

"Damn." he cursed.

Ivanna hides her laugh, and decided to stop pissing him. It was already afternoon, and by the road they can see the sunset coming out. Ivanna was fond of the sunset; she wants to stare at it until it was gone.

"Ash, can you just stop the car?" she asked.

Ash turned his gaze towards her with his face asking why.

"Please..." she just said, pouting.

Ash stops the car; Ivanna went out from the car very happy. Ash was watching her from inside.

"Yes! come out." she said spreading her hands.

"Geez, looks crazy." Ash blurted.

He went out to join her.

"Why did we stop?" he asked her.

Ivanna was just focusing her eyes towards the sunset.

"To watch the sunset." she said.

Ash also stared at the sunset; he admits that it was so beautiful.

"You know what, I love sunsets." she said.

"Sunset makes me to relieve my problems or my stress, as you can see how beautiful it is. It can wash away your problems." she said.

Ash thought he was right and then he remembered something.

FLASHBACK

"Ash, come on! the sunset is coming out." Andrea was happy.

"Wait for me then." he said and chase her.

Ash hugs her from behind while watching the sunset. Andrea was very fond of it; she keeps on coming out when the sunset was already coming out.

"Rhea, why do you love sunset?" he asked.

"Well, you really ask me that." she giggles.

"I love it, because watching it making my fears and problems away from me. It helps me warm up and helps my mind to be in peace." she said.

"Okay." he all said.

"It's so beautiful." she said.

"Like you." Ash said.

Andrea stares at her and kiss him. It was their second anniversary that time and Rhea asks him to go with her to just watch the beautiful sunset.

"I love you, Ash." she smiled.

"I love you too, Rhea." he replied.

FLASHBACK ENDS

"Hey!" Ivanna was waving her hand in front of him.

But Ash was thinking so deep, he went back to his phase. Ivanna was worried staring at him.

"Are you okay?" she asked.

"Uhm yeah." he said.

Ivanna didn't believe him; she knows that he remembered something that make him stop.

"Okay." she replied.

They waited until the sunset went down from arising. They decided to go home, Ash still was silent. Ivanna thinks that he must probably tired.

"Ash, thank you for this day." she said.

"You're welcome." he replied.

Ivanna was thankful that her husband to be was so handsome and kind. Thinking, it's not hard for her to fall in love with him. Ash was thinking about her ex-girlfriend again. Andrea, they broke up due to long distance relationship. Ash doesn't want her to leave but Andrea was so persistent and persevere to follow her parents abroad. He thought it might be better for them to break up for not making it harder for them, and Andrea agreed to him.
