Hera Altezza, the twenty-seven year old woman gently brushed her growing belly. Her pregnancy has entered the age of eight months making it a little difficult for her to do her activities. Even when getting out of the car, Hera had to be helped by the driver.
"Thank you," said Hera, smiling sweetly at the middle-aged man.
"You're welcome, Madam," said the man, starting to let go of Hera's hand slowly.
Hera slowly entered the two-story house. But before entering Hera had time to look at the trunk where a gray car was parked.
"Didn't Jayden say he was late tonight?" Hera muttered quietly. At the third second she shrugged her shoulders and entered the house without thinking.
The house was very quiet and a little dark. Understandably because the maids who worked at her house had gone home. Hera continued to search for her husband's whereabouts to the second floor of the house.
The silence of the night was suddenly lost when Hera heard faint moans from the direction of her room. Hera's eyes narrowed as she saw the door to her room was slightly ajar.
"Eugh... Jay..."
Hera gasped in surprise as the moans became clearer. The woman's body with shoulder-length hair trembled with cold sweaty palms.
"Well... it's like that baby... ahh. You're really great...."
The voice came again. Hera couldn't be wrong. It was a woman's sigh. Hera swallowed hard saliva trying to continue the steps that felt very heavy. The closer the sighs and moans got, the clearer they got. Hera heard not only a groan from a woman but also from a man.
Hera slowly opened the door and what happened there suddenly made the bag she was holding fell just like that. Making a sound that made the two figures struggling with pleasure stop their activity and stare at the petrified Hera.
"What are you doing, Jayden!!!"
***
"Are you sure your wife will be home late?" asked Elena Darwin wrapping her arms around Jayden's neck as she stared at the man longingly.
"Her family will keep her there. So you can relax," Jayden said, disappearing into the crook of the neck of the woman who had been his lover for the past three years. Even his married status did not make their relationship run aground.
"Eugh... shouldn't you be there too, Jay?" asked Elena with difficulty because Jayden kept kissing her neck. Precisely fondling the woman's neck fiercely.
"For what? I've been with her all day anyway. So tonight I want to be with you, Elena," Jayden said making Elena smile widely.
After that, Jayden's thick lips landed gently on Elena's thin lips. They expressed their longing after almost a week of not seeing each other in the most delicious way.
Their clothes were scattered on the floor. The king size bed that Jayden and his wife, Hera used to sleep in, is now a silent witness to the union of Jayden and Elena.
"Ahh... i-I missed you so much, Elena," Jayden croaked as he began to spur over Elena's body.
Elena's small hand reached out, gently caressing Jayden's cheek making the man smile as he continued to pound his hips on the woman's core firmly.
Jayden's exotic skin is shiny and wet with sweat like melted sweet honey that is so beautiful to the eye. Adding to Elena's passion. Her hands were now tucked through Jayden's hair, tugging at her slightly as what he felt was getting more and more absurd.
"Don't pinch me too hard like that, Elena... ah!" Jayden said feeling his own being squeezed tightly by Elena making the waves of pleasure get closer. Jayden's blood rippled violently.
"Tell me, Jay! I'm better than your wife, aren't I?"
Elena never wanted to lose to her lover's wife. In any case. But in reality Elena lost because the one who became Jayden's wife now was Hera, not her. It sucks.
"Why should I compare you to her?"
"You just have to answer, Jay!" The words sounded even more demanding.
"Of course. You're the best, Elena," Jayden said, bringing their lips together again for a kiss and mash. Along with the peak that was about to come they continued to babble incoherently.
But before they could finish their desire, a woman's voice broke everything.
"What are you doing, Jayden!!!"
Jayden and Elena turned to look at Hera who was standing at the door. Hands clenched and tears running down both cheeks were signs that the woman was furious. How can the man you really trust, your husband, make love to another woman in your house, in your bed.
"Oh shit!" Jayden cursed breaking his union with Elena. Even though the white is almost here. Taking a towel to cover his private area, then approached the woman he married almost a year.
Plakk!!!
One slap landed perfectly on Jayden's left cheek.
"You bastard! Do you know what you're doing?!" Hera cursed breathlessly holding back the anger that seemed to build up in her chest.
Jayden chuckled as if he was mocking Hera. The thing that made Hera's emotions out of control. Jayden turned to look at the woman sharply.
For the first time Hera saw Jayden looking at her like that. If looks could kill maybe Hera was already covered in blood there.
"How dare you bring another woman into our house and make love to her?! Are you out of your mind?! I'm your wife, Jayden!"
But that didn't dampen Hera's emotions, it made her even angrier.
"It's just a status, Hera!" Jayden also raised his voice.
"What?" Hera whispered.
"Do you still not understand? I never agreed to this marriage. I hate this marriage, just so you know!"
"Then what is the meaning of all your attention all this time on me, huh?" said Hera pushing Jayden's body but it didn't make the man waver in the slightest.
"That's because I was just doing my duty as a husband, but now I'm sick of all this skit," Jayden said with a crooked smile.
Hera flinched. Her stomach felt cramped and she held it tightly.
"Now I want to be with Elena, the woman I love," Jayden continued, pointing at Elena who was smiling triumphantly.
'Oh my God, why did something like this happen at my wedding.' Hera screamed. The pain hit not only her chest but her stomach as well.
"Akh!!!"
Hera could no longer endure the pain in her stomach until the tiny body collapsed without anyone holding her back. All Hera saw last time were two heartless humans who just stared at her without any intention of helping.
I wish I wouldn't die now. Hera whispered in her heart before darkness enveloped her.
To be continued....
"... to have one another and also to care for one another from now on forever. In times of trouble and joy, in times of abundance and in need, and in times of health and sickness. To always love and cherish one another, until death do us part."
Jayden's words were still vivid in Hera's mind. At that time Hera thought that Jayden was playing her role well, just like her. Because neither of them wanted the marriage to happen. Maybe Hera and Jayden said 'Yes' to getting married but it was only to fulfill the wishes of their extended family. And they just become avatars there.
But during nearly a year of being together, those thoughts slowly faded away. Jayden's kindness, affection and attention made Hera so immersed in false happiness. And unfortunately again, Hera fell in love with the man.
Then what now?
The man had shown his true identity. The figure who hated Hera more than anything in this world. In fact, Jayden was the first male figure who made Hera fall in love. In a sense Jayden is Hera's first love. It's sad that the love that started to grow has now turned to hate. Hera also really hated Jayden. Possible (?)
Hera turned when someone opened the door to her inn. But when she saw who was coming, Hera looked away, not wanting to look at the figure.
"How are you?" Jayden asked as he took off his jacket and loosened his tie which felt like it was suffocating his neck.
"What do you care?" Hera snapped. She didn't even look down at her husband at all.
Jayden chuckled softly and then approached the bed where Hera had been in the hospital for the past few days. Because after the incident that night Hera had to give birth immediately because she was bleeding profusely. Lucky that she and the baby survived. Although the baby must be treated intensively because it was born prematurely.
"I couldn't have let you die after making me struggle to carry you here," Jayden said pulling Hera's chin to look at him. Smiling sideways made the woman in front of her clench her fists like she wanted to slap the man again. But what she did was slapped Jayden's hand away and then looked away again.
"You should have rejected our marriage then, Jayden," said Hera, placing all the blame on the man's shoulders. If at that time Jayden had firmly refused she wouldn't have to feel the hurt she is now. When asked why Hera didn't just refuse, the answer was because Hera was too afraid that her parents would find out what she did that night. In the sense that Hera has no alibi to refuse because she actually had to get married to cover up all her actions. Then why is Hera blaming Jayden now? What a very naive woman.
"If I refuse... your family will fall apart, Hera," Jayden said. He no longer needed to tug on Hera's chin. The woman was happily looking at him now.
Jayden smiled faintly and sat down on the chair there. He folded his arms over his chest proudly.
"We got married only for mutual benefit," said Jayden again.
It can't be denied. And perhaps the strongest reason for the marriage to happen. If it weren't for the Jaydens, maybe Hera and her family would be living under the bridge by now. At that time, the state of Hera's father's company was very worrying, until Jayden's family came like angels who finally stabilized the situation.
"Then why do you treat me like you like me? If you really hate me, just treat me like trash!" said Hera taking all her annoyance and disappointment. At least if Jayden was rude, Hera wouldn't have to fall in love.
"A shepherd must feed his sheep properly and properly so that if he is going to be slaughtered later the shepherd gets a fat sheep," Jayden replied. He turned his face slightly towards Hera. "So are you. I have to make good use of you," he continued.
Plakk!!!
It's enough. Hera was really fed up with the man. Jayden turned his head with a sharp look. Holding Hera's jaw firmly.
"Who do you think you are, huh? How dare you slap me?" Jayden said with a glint of anger in his eyes.
Hera's tears escaped from the corners of her eyes. She winced softly at the pain in her jaw and stomach. Didn't Jayden have a little mercy on her? She had just given birth to their first child. But Hera was wrong to expect compassion from a man like Jayden. She will never get it.
"You ignorant woman!" Jayden said then removed his hand from Hera. He felt like he was wasting his time with her. Jayden went to get his coat and car keys.
"Then divorce me, Jayden!"
Hera's shout made Jayden's steps stop again. He turned around, raising one eyebrow.
"I'd be happy to do that," Jayden said with a grin on his face as if those were the words he'd been waiting for the most from Hera. The woman's chest throbbed with excruciating pain.
"Yes. That's better," said Hera, looking down.
"But you also have to think about your family."
For the second time Hera looked up. Jayden looked confused. What did the man mean?
"If we divorce now. They will lose everything because your father's business is now under my company," Jayden said instantly making Hera flinch.
Jayden put on his coat as he drew closer to Hera's bed. He lowered his head slightly so that his face was right in front of Hera's.
"And one more thing, doesn't your father have a history of fairly severe hypertension?" Jayden asked playing his main card. "Will she be able to hear the news that her beloved child who has just given birth is going to divorce her husband," Jayden continued.
Hera gritted her teeth. Why did Jayden hold onto Hera's weakness so much? While Hera has nothing. So now what should Hera do?
Her heart vehemently refused if she had to put up with her marriage to Jayden. It hurts too much. But Hera also couldn't see her family being destroyed, especially if she had to lose her father. Even just imagining Hera's chest already felt very tight as if the oxygen around her was being forcibly taken away.
"How? Do you still want to divorce me?" Jayden asked.
"You bastard!" cursed Hera in response.
Jayden chuckled lightly then straightened his body after kissing the woman's forehead briefly.
"I take that as a no," he said and then walked away.
"I won't let you go easily, Hera Altezza. You have to pay for everything first," Jayden muttered in a vengeful tone.
To be continued....
Hera smiled as carefree as she could when her parents and Jayden's parents came to visit. They looked so happy even though they could only see Hera and Jayden's babies from behind the transparent glass. The cute baby is still in the incubator. Even Hera herself was still not allowed to see the child up close.
"He's so handsome," said Elvis, Jayden's father proudly embracing the boy who was standing beside him.
"Of course. Isn't he my son?" said Jayden also praising the little baby inviting laughter from all of them.
"Jayden, Hera, do you guys have a name for your handsome baby yet?" asked Hera's mother, Anne.
Jayden and Hera looked at each other. After Jayden's departure that day he never came to the hospital to see Hera. He was too busy spending time with Elena and also taking care of his work. Until two days passed, then he came with his parents and Hera's parents. That too was forced.
Hera and Jayden didn't have time to discuss their child's name. Even Hera thought Jayden wouldn't care at all.
"Of course."
But Jayden's answer made Hera look at him confused.
"Juan Xavier," Jayden continued.
"Wow! What a great name, Jayden," said Jane, Jayden's mother.
They all smiled satisfied with Jayden's answer. But not with Hera. She instead glared at Jayden there.
'I should have named my son, not that bastard.' Hera screamed. She did not accept Jayden who gave the name to her son. Although it is undeniable that Jayden is the father of the child.
He also has rights.
***
"So when can you come home?" asked Anne, holding her daughter's hand, which still looked pale.
"Just waiting for my baby's condition to improve, Mom," replied Hera, smiling faintly.
Jayden and Jayden's parents had gone home early. Hera was sure that Jayden would never return there, so she had to prepare an answer if her parents asked.
Anne stroked the child's cheek gently. "Are you all right?" she asked in a slightly worried tone.
"I'm fine, ma'am. What's wrong?" Hera did her best to hide her panic. Is it obvious that she not doing well? Even though Hera already felt that she was hiding her problem well.
"But you don't look like that. Did you have a problem with Jayden?"
A mother's instinct is never wrong. If Hera hadn't thought of anything, she would have told her everything Jayden had done to her. But Hera couldn't do it so she just hugged her mother. Hiding behind the body of the woman who gave birth to her.
"I'm okay, Mom. Really. I'm fine," Hera whispered, starting to sob.
Anne knew very well that her daughter was not doing well. But as a mother she couldn't force Hera to tell her story, especially when it came to her household with Jayden.
Anne did not interfere as much as possible. It was also asked of the Jayden parents. Let their own children take care of their problems. But if they came to tell stories, Anne wouldn't mind either.
"It's okay if you don't want to talk. I just hope that you are always happy. Especially now that you have Juan," said Anne, stroking Hera's hair gently.
"Yes, ma'am. Hera also always expects the same thing," said Hera. It's not just words but a prayer.
They broke their hug when they heard the boisterous voices of two men approaching Hera's living room. It was the voices of Jayden and Andrew, Hera's father.
Hera and her mother just smiled faintly when they saw the two men enter. If he was in a situation like now, Hera seemed to forget that he and Jayden were in a bad situation.
They look like a big happy family. Full of jokes and laughter. Hera chuckled sadly as if mocking her own destiny.
"Honey, the doctor said you can come home the day after tomorrow," Jayden said, moving closer to Hera and stroking her hair gently.
Hera looked up. Smiling sideways to see her husband with all the skits. Maybe if Hera hadn't known Jayden's rottenness things would have been different. Where he would be so grateful to have Jayden with him.
"Is our child all right?"
Like Jayden, Hera also played her role well.
"Yeah, because he's my son so he has to be strong," Jayden replied.
In Hera's gaze, Jayden could already tell that the woman was cursing herself in her heart. And that's exactly what Jayden wanted. Hera was hurt in her own game.
"He has to be like that." Hera said emphatically.
"You guys just make mom and dad jealous," said Andrew looking at his daughter and men-in-law happily without knowing what was really going on.
Jayden suddenly embraced Hera. "You know dad that I love your daughter very much, right?"
Bullshit!
"Of course, son. And I'm sure that Hera is too. Isn't that right, Hera?"
The two men stared at Hera demanding an answer. With a small smile, the woman nodded slowly. They could be smiling happily but Anne couldn't be fooled by all that. She knows her daughter more than anyone.
Hera's smile wasn't real. There was something she was trying to hide behind that smile.
"Hera, how about you stay with mom and dad for the next few days?"
And Anne will not be able to stand by seeing her daughter like that. She had to find out. Although she had to be patient waiting for Hera to say everything.
"Why do you suddenly want Hera to live with mom and dad?" Jayden asked in surprise.
"I miss Hera so much. After all, being a new mother is not easy. I will teach Hera how to take good care of the baby," said Anne. That is the most plausible reason. "How about it, Hera. Do you want to live with mother first?" asked Anne looking at Hera.
As if she was with the goddess of fortune, Hera immediately nodded. "Sure, ma'am." Hera then looked at Jayden. "How about it, Jay. It's okay I live with mom first?" asked Hera.
Unlucky!
Jayden had no other choice. If he refuses, what reason should he give?
Now you win Hera.
"Fine. If that's what you want," Jayden finally answered.
