Stinging heart

Author: : Morning dew
Genre: Romance
Nicole was the only one she knew that had the guts to call Jordan at this hour. The sound of the water in the bathroom stopped. Jordan came out wrapped in a bath towel. He wiped his hand and picked up the phone. Ivelle didn't know what the person from the other end of the phone said. She saw Jordan frowned slightly and he heard him say, "Nicole, don't fool around!" With that, he hung up the phone and was ready to change his clothes and leave. In the past, Ivelle might have pretended to turn a blind eye but now, she grabbed Jordan and begged him softly, "Is it okay if you will not go tonight?" Jordan frowned and his face showed some coldness and displeasure. "Are you beginning to be presumptuous?" It was cold and ironic. Ivelle was stunned. For a moment, she was not able to stop herself from laughing. She looked at him and said, "Tomorrow is Grandpa's funeral. Even if you can't let her go, shouldn't you have a sense of propriety?" "Threats?" He squinted his black eyes and grabbed her jaw in a low, cold voice. "Ivelle, you've grown up."

Chapter 1 Pregnant

Pregnant: six weeks

When Lavelle Astley saw the report of the ultrasound, she was stunned and frozen in the same place by these words. They did it only once, how did she get pregnant?

What would she do now?

Would she tell Jordan Astley that they should not push through with the divorce because of this? No, on the contrary, he would think that she was despicable because she was blackmailing him with a child.

She suppressed the depression she was feeling in her heart. She stuffed the ultrasound report sheet into her bag and went out of the hospital.

Outside the hospital building, in the glowing black Maybach, the car window was partially opened but from the outside, a person would only vaguely see the cold face of the man in the driver's seat.

The beautiful man owned a luxury car that naturally attracted the attention of many passers-by.

Rich and beautiful, it was the standard of Jordan and after so many years, he was not surprised, he ignored the eyes of passers-by.

The man closed his eyes to rest and sensed the movement. He only frowned slightly but did not open his eyes. He asked in a low voice, "Have you dealt with it?"

"Hmm!" Lavelle nodded, and she handed Jordan the contract that she has signed in the hospital. She said, "Dean Blakely asked me to take him because he wanted to say hello to you!"

Lavelle originally came to sign a contract but she met Jordan on the way. She didn't know why he would drop her off on the way.

"You're in charge of this case!"

Jordan had a few words but he would not take the contract. He only gave a faint explanation.

Elle nodded and said nothing more.

They were silent inside the car for a long time, except for the commands he was giving. The car drove to the city center.

It was already evening but Jordan did not go back to the villa. Where would he go? Although she was confused, she would never take the initiative to ask him about it, so she remained silent.

As she thought of the ultrasound, she didn't know how to tell him about it. She saw that he was looking forward to her. His eyes were fierce and as cold as ever.

"Jordan!" Lavelle opened her mouth and the palm of her hand holding the bag was a little wet because of fear. She was very nervous which was why she was sweating a lot.

"Go ahead! What do you want to say?" With those cold words, no superfluous mood was felt.

Jordan was always like this to her, for a long time. She suppressed her perturbed heart, took a deep breath, and said, "I."

Lavelle was not able to continue what she was saying because her phone of Jordan suddenly rang. She swallowed her words back.

"Nicole, what's the matter?" She heard the tenderness in the voice of Jordan and her heart constricted.

Jordan's gentleness was for Nicole Blakeley only. She could only listen to the dialogue between him and Nicole.

She didn't know what Nicole said on the other end of the line. Jordan suddenly stepped on the brakes and pacified the phone. He said, "OK, I'll be there in a minute. Don't run around."

After he hung up the phone, he regained the coldness on his face and looked at her. He said, "Get out of the car!"

There was no room for disobedience.

This was not the first time. She nodded, swallowed all the words back into her throat, opened the door, and got out of the car.

Her marriage to Jordan was an accident and fate but it had nothing to do with love. Jordan's heart was always for Nicole and her existence was only a decoration or an obstacle.

Two years ago, Master Astley had a heart attack and forced Jordan to marry her while he was in the hospital bed. Although Jordan was reluctant, he still married her back because of the old man. In the past two years, when the father was still there, Jordan treated her as a non-existent person. The moment that the old man was out of breath, Jordan couldn't wait for a lawyer to write the divorce agreement. He would just wait for her to sign it.

Back to the villa, it was already dark and the huge house was like it was haunted. Probably because of the pregnancy, she had no appetite. She just went straight to the bedroom, washed, and took a rest.

Before she fell asleep, she vaguely heard the sound of the car stalling coming from the yard.

Was Jordan back?

Didn't he go to accompany Nicole?

Chapter 2 Do Not Go

Before she was able to organize her thoughts, Lavelle saw that the bedroom door was open. Lavelle saw that he was wet and that he went straight into the bathroom without looking at her. After a few moments, she heard the water from the shower.

At the time that he went back, Lavelle was not able to continue her sleep. She got up and put on her clothes. Lavelle took his pajamas out of the wardrobe and placed them at the bathroom door. Then, she went to the balcony.

It was the rainy season, there was light rain outside and the sky was very dark. Everyone would hear the rainwater ticking on the bricks and tiles.

Lavelle heard a noise behind her, she looked back and saw that Jordan had come out of the bathroom. His lower body was covered with a bath towel, his hair was wet and there were drops of water that were dripping down his sturdy body.

He probably sensed that she was looking at him. He looked at Lavelle and frowned. "Come here!" He said in an emotionless tone of voice.

Lavelle was obedient. She walked up to him and he threw towards me the towel in his hand. "Wipe it for me," he said in a low voice.

He was always like this and she was used to it. He sat on the edge of the bed and Lavelle climbed into the bed, she was half-kneeling behind him as she started to wipe his hair.

"Tomorrow is Grandpa's funeral. I should go to the old house earlier." When Lavelle opened her mouth, she didn't deliberately talk to him about the topic because he was so focused on Nicole and if she wouldn't mention it, Lavelle was afraid that he would have forgotten about it.

"Hmm!" When he answered her, he said nothing else.

Elle knew that he didn't want to communicate too much with her and because of that, she didn't say much. She dried his hair and she lay on the bed again, ready to go to sleep.

Maybe it was because Lavelle was pregnant that she always felt very sleepy. Jordan would always say that he would go to study until midnight after he was done taking a bath. She didn't know why he changed his pajamas tonight and why he was laying down beside her.

Although strange, she did not dare to ask. He suddenly put his arms around her, pulled her into his arms, and kissed her.

Her pajamas were torn off by him, and Lavelle panicked for a moment. He pressed his hand there and she looked up at him.

"Jordan, I."

"No?" He opened his mouth, his black eyes as dark as night.

Lavelle looked down, she didn't want to, but it was not up to her.

"Could you be gentle, please?" The child in her womb was only six weeks old and it would be dangerous if he was not careful.

He frowned and he did not speak. He just turned over and then he did not start gently. Lavelle rolled up in pain, she could only protect the child from harm as much as possible.

With his ferocity, the rain outside the window became fiercer and fiercer. For a moment there was thunder and lightning and the lights fluctuated. After a long time, he got up and went into the bathroom.

Lavelle was in such pain that she broke out in a cold sweat. She thought of taking some painkillers but she was worried about the child, so she gave up.

"Ooh." The cell phone on the nightstand rang. It was Jordan's. Elle looked up at the clock on the wall. It was already 11:00 in the evening.

Nicole was the only one she knew that had the guts to call Jordan at this hour.

The sound of the water in the bathroom stopped. Jordan came out wrapped in a bath towel. He wiped his hand and picked up the phone. Lavelle didn't know what the person on the other end of the phone said.

She saw Jordan frown slightly and he heard him say, "Nicole, don't fool around!"

With that, he hung up the phone and was ready to change his clothes and leave. In the past, Lavelle might have pretended to turn a blind eye but now, she grabbed Jordan and begged him softly, "Is it okay if you will not go tonight?"

Jordan frowned and his face showed some coldness and displeasure. "Are you beginning to be presumptuous?"

It was cold and ironic.

Lavelle was stunned. For a moment, she was not able to stop herself from laughing. She looked at him and said, "Tomorrow is Grandpa's funeral. Even if you can't let her go, shouldn't you have a sense of propriety?"

"Threats?" He squinted his black eyes and grabbed her jaw in a low, cold voice. "Lavelle, you've grown up."

Chapter 3 I Agree To Divorce

Ivelle knew very well that it was impossible to keep him but she still had to try. She looked at him and said, "I agree to the divorce but I have conditions. Stay tonight and accompany me to Grandpa's funeral. I'll sign immediately after the funeral."

He narrowed his eyes, his dark eyes filled with a sarcastic smile and the corners of his lips moved slightly, "Please me." He released her, narrowed his eyes, and approached her ear. "Ivelle, everything depends on your own ability and it's useless to rely on your mouth alone."

His voice was very hoarse. His voice was with a touch of provocation and she knew what he meant. She put her hands around his waist and raised her head to reach him. The height gap between them was too big and it made her look funny and ridiculous.

Ivelle didn't know much about men and women. She intuitively reached out to untie the bath towel around his waist, and she heard the sound of his breathing in her ear. She knew he reacted but she couldn't tell what it was like. It was really true that she would only keep the one she liked in this way. Poor thing.

When the bath towel fell to the ground, Ivelle slipped her fingertips slowly but her hand was held down by him. She looked up and saw that his eyes were dark and vaguely encircling, "That's enough!"

Ivelle was stupefied because of those indifferent and cold words. She saw him pull over the bed his gray pajamas leisurely and elegantly put them on his body.

She was stupefied for a moment and then she realized that she was. Would he stay?

She was still feeling happy when she heard a woman's voice from the window with the faint sound of rain, "Jordan."

Ivelle was stupefied, she was not as quick as Jordan. She saw him step onto the balcony and then she saw him pull his coat gloomily and went out of the bedroom.

Outside the balcony, Nicole stood in the heavy rain. She was wearing a thin dress. She looked pitiful under the rain.

Jordan put the coat he brought down over her. Nicole hugged him and sobbed softly in his arms.

As she was looking at this scene, Ivelle suddenly understood that even though she was with Jordan for two years, she was still no better than a phone call from Nicole.

Jordan walked Nicole happily into the villa and took her upstairs. Ivelle stood at the top of the stairs, she was looking down at the two people who were drenched in the rain. She was blocking their way.

"Get out of the way!" Jordan spoke with a cold and surly tone. His pair of black eyes were looking at her in disgust.

Was she sad?

She didn't know, but what hurts more than the heart was when saw with her own eyes how Jordan cherished his beloved Nicole and how he trampled her heart.

"Jordan, when we got married, you promised your grandfather that as long as I am here, you wouldn't bring her here." This was the only place where Jordan and Ivelle were living together. Ivelle gave up many countless nights to Nicole, so why would she end up polluting the only place Ivelle had?

"Oh!" Jordan suddenly sneered. He pulled her and said in a cold voice, "Ivelle, you think highly of yourself."

What an ironic remark, Ivelle watched him happily entered the guest room, Ivelle could only watch as a bystander after all.

That night was destined to be unstable.

Nicole was caught in the rain outside. She was already weak. Heavy rain made her have a high fever. Jordan changed her clothes while he used the towels to cool her physically.

Maybe he was seeing her only as a hindrance. He gave her a cold look and said, "Go back to Astley's old house!"

She wouldn't be able to go back tonight.

Did he ask me to go back to Astley's old house at this time? How funny.

Ivelle was just a nuisance.

She was looking at Jordan for a long time, she didn't know what she should say to remind him how far the old house was, how late it was now and how unsafe it was for her because she was a woman.

However, he didn't care about this at all. What he really cared about was whether her presence would hinder Nicole's rest.

She tried to contain her sadness in her heart. She calmly said, "I'll just go back to my bedroom."

He didn't cherish her and she wouldn't ruin herself with him.

She turned away from the guest room. She met Brad Silverman who came in a hurry in the hallway. She saw that his slender body was still wearing black pajamas. It looked like he came in a hurry. He didn't change his shoes and his clothes were mostly wet.
