"Do you think my father will like this?" Stella asked Flora after they made a bouquet that they would give to their father. "Of course, you put in a lot of effort while making that!" Flora assured her, and Stella smiled at her friend. "I hope so!" Stella said and looked at the bouquet that she was holding.
They decided to go home, and Stella was humming while walking towards their house. "You look so happy today, huh?" Daisha told her as soon as she entered their home. "I will bring this bouquet to Dad. Where is he?" Stella asked her sister but Daisha didn't know where their father went.
"Maybe he was just walking outside or patrolling with the guards." Daisha answered, and Stella decided to wait for him in the living room. "Do you want to eat now?" Daisha asked her, and Stella shook her head.
"I'm not hungry! You can eat first!" Stella answered and she was happily looking at the flowers. It was almost midnight when Daisha went out of her room, she saw Stella in the living room and still waiting for their father. "You should sleep, Stella! He will come back tomorrow!" Daisha told her and patted her back.
"What if he didn't come home? All of these will die!" Stella said, and Daisha smiled at her, "You can make a new one, right?" Her sister asked her, and Stella glared at her. "Yeah, I can!" Stella answered but it was a waste of her effort if their father will not show up tonight.
Stella decided to sleep, and Daisha accompanied her to her room. "Good night!" Daisha told her and kissed her head, "Thank you!" Stella answered and smiled at her sister.
Stella was just seven years old when chaos killed her mother. She was still young to witness how cruel they did to her mother. Every night she would try to sleep, a picture of her Mom begging for help would visit her and until now, it was hunting her.
She was eighteen and until now she was still crying whenever she would think about her Mother, "I'm sorry for not helping you, Mom!" Stella whispered and wiped the tears from her face. She didn't realise that she fell asleep while thinking about her.
It was already noon when she woke up. She immediately stood up from her bed and went to the living room. Her bouquet wasn't there anymore so she looked for her father. "Where is he?" Stella asked her sister as soon as Daisha showed up from outside. "Oh! He is in the garage." Daisha answered, and Stella immediately went to the garage. She looked at her father and that's when she saw the bouquet she made inside the trash can.
"You didn't like it?" Stella asked her father, and Remus stopped what he was doing. "What are you talking about?" Remus asked her, and Stella pointed out the bouquet inside the trash can. "I thought it was trash so I put it in its right place." Remus answered, and Stella held her tears. "Oh! Is that so?" Stella asked, and her father just looked at her.
"Don't cry! Don't ever show me your freaking tears. I'm tired of it!" Remus stopped her from crying, and Stella ran inside their house. Daisha heard everything that their father said to Stella, she followed her to her room and knocked on the door.
"Leave me alone!" Stella yelled, and Daisha stopped knocking. "I'm just here if you want someone to talk to." Daisha told her but she didn't get any answer from her sister. Stella didn't eat for dinner and she just stayed inside her room.
"Hey! If you don't want to eat, at least do the dishes!" Her father yelled from outside her room. She covered her face with her pillow. The night came, and they were already sleeping when Stella went out of her room. She was tiptoeing in the living room until she got outside their house.
"Where do you think you are going?" Stella stopped walking when she heard her father's voice behind her. She turned around, and her father was looking at her intensely. "To get some fresh air!" She answered and tried to walk again, but her father grabbed her arms.
"I didn't know where you get that kind of manner and it is pissing me off." Remus said and he pulled his daughter inside their house. "You will not leave until you apologise for what you did!" He added and he pushed Stella on the couch.
Daisha immediately went to the living room after she heard her father's scream. She went to Stella so she could help her to stand up but Stella pushed her away. "Don't touch me!" Stella told her and she ran towards her room.
"Don't try to console her!" Remus said to Daisha, but she didn't want to do it. She thought that Stella needed someone who could listen to her rants.
The next day came, and Stella went out of her room when she found out that her father was gone. Daisha was waiting for her in the living room. "Stop talking back when he was mad!" Daisha told her sister while she was treating the wound that Stella got when their father pushed her. "Even if I don't talk back, he will still get mad at me." Stella answered and took a sip of the coffee that her sister made for her.
"You should eat now, you didn't eat last night!" Daisha scolded her sister, and Stella just smiled at her. "I'm just wondering why our father didn't like me." Stella said and finished drinking her coffee. "Don't think like that, Stella!" Daisha told her but Stella just smirked at her.
"You can't stop me from thinking that way." Stella told her, and Daisha shook her head in disbelief. "Fine, go to the kitchen now!" Daisha told her and patted her back.
She watched Stella walking, and she smiled while thinking about their mother. "She's grown up now, Mom!" Daisha whispered while looking at Stella.
"Why did you call me, Dad?" Stella asked her father as soon as she entered his office in their house. "You should sit first!" Her father told her and she immediately sat in front of him. "I know that it is still hurting you whenever you think about your Mom but you need to move forward." Her father said and Stella nodded her head, "What do you want me to do?" Stella asked her father and Remus smiled at his daughter.
Stella left her father's office and she was holding her tears. Daisha immediately went to her and ask about what happened inside the office. "Nothing!" Stella answered and ran towards her room.
Stella didn't show up again and Daisha knew that their father told her something which made Stella cry. "Don't talk! I didn't do anything to your sister!" Remus stopped his first born and Daisha just looked at her Dad. "Can you just love her?" Daisha asked her father but Remus shook his head.
Weeks passed and Stella decided to hang out with Flora. They were near the river when it started raining, "We need to go there!" Flora said while pointing out the cave near them. "But, Flora!" Stella told her but she didn't have a choice so she just followed Flora.
They entered the cave and it was dark inside, "We will just wait here, don't worry!" Flora told her and Stella nodded her head. They sat on the ground and watched the rain pouring. "What will you do now?" Flora asked her while looking outside. "I didn't want to get married to someone I didn't love!" Stella answered and she remembered what his father told her.
-
"When you were still inside your mother's womb, we thought that you were going to be a boy. I was so happy that time because I could have a successor if you were a boy. But, you came!" Remus told his youngest daughter and Stella was just listening to him. "It is not my fault to be here!" Stella told her father, "You are right! It is not your fault but I need you to do something for our family." Her father said and she was going to refuse when Remus stood up aggressively.
"You can't say no to me, Stella! I have already thought about this for a long time." Remus said and went in front of Stella, "What do you want me to do?" Stella asked her father and Remus tapped her shoulder.
"You will get married to a man that I like you to be with." Remus answered and Stella immediately refused to get married. "I'm still young, Dad! Marrying is not in my mind!" Stella said and her father smiled at her. "You can't do anything about it! Everything was already prepared!" Remus answered and that's when Stella left the office while crying.
-
When the rain stopped pouring, they decided to go home. Stella was on her way to their house when she saw her sister leaving their house. She was going to call her but she looked like she was in a hurry.
"Daisha-
Stella called her but Daisha was already far away so she couldn't hear Stella's voice. She decided to go inside their house and she was alone there.
She went to her room and decided to stay there because she didn't want to meet her father. It was already dark when Daisha came home and she was startled when Stella showed up in the living room.
"You are here!" Daisha told her sister and Stella nodded her head, "I saw you leaving earlier and I tried to call you but you didn't hear me!" Stella told her which made Daisha clear her throat.
They started cooking in the kitchen and their father didn't show up that night. "I will sleep now!" Daisha told Stella, "Okay, Good night!" Stella answered and stayed in the living room.
She was doing something in the living room when she noticed a shadow outside their house. She looked at it and it immediately went away. "What a freak!" Stella said and decided to sleep.
The next day came, Stella went out of her room and there was still no sign of their father. She was grateful not to see her father because Remus would just force her to get married.
"Where are you going?" Stella asked Daisha when she saw her sister well dressed. "Oh! I didn't know that you were already awake!" Daisha told her and Stella just looked at her sister. "Do you have a boyfriend now?" Stella asked her out of nowhere, "What? I don't do that!" Daisha immediately reacted to Stella's statement.
"Chill! I'm just asking!" Stella answered and stood up from sitting on the couch. She went to the kitchen and made herself a coffee. When she went back to the living room, there was no sign of her sister anymore. "Should I follow her?" Stella asked herself and she immediately shook her head. "Nah, I shouldn't do that!" She added and started drinking her coffee.
Stella was alone in their house when her father came, he was carrying a lot of bags and putting them on the couch. "Where is your sister?" Remus asked his younger child but Stella didn't know where her sister went. "I don't know! She just left!" Stella answered and tried to walk away but her father called her.
"You need to be ready tomorrow!" Remus told his younger child, "Tomorrow? What will happen tomorrow?" Stella asked her father because she was confused. "You are going to meet your mate." Remus answered and Stella froze to her place.
"I didn't want to get married-
"Just follow what I told you, Stella! That's the only way you can help our family." Remus cut what she was saying and Stella shook her head in disbelief. "Can't you just consider my feelings? I am also your child!" Stella told him and she immediately went to her room.
Stella couldn't believe that her father would do that to her even though she didn't like it. She didn't have a choice but to follow what her father told her to do.
After a couple of hours of staying in her room, someone knocked on the door and called her name. It was Daisha! "Let's eat dinner now, Stella!" Daisha said but she didn't answer her sister. "Are you already sleeping?" Daisha asked her again but she didn't want to see her father right now.
"I'm full, just eat by yourself!" Stella couldn't take it anymore and answered her sister. "Fine, good night!" Daisha told her and Stella didn't answer her again.
Stella was thinking how lucky her sister was because Daisha was the favourite child of their father. Whatever she would do, their father would still support her.
The next day came and it was the day where Stella would meet her mate. She didn't leave her room because she was against what her father wanted her to do. "Come on, Stella! Don't make this difficult for the both of us, get out of your room now!" Stella heard her father's voice outside.
Stella covered her face with a pillow and didn't answer her father. She was startled when the door opened and she immediately looked at the door," Don't wait for me to use force so I can get you out of your bed." Remus warned his younger child.
Stella didn't have a choice but to stand up from her bed and went to the bathroom. It was against her will but she needed to follow her father.
She didn't make an effort to choose a dress that she would wear and she didn't try to make herself presentable. She got out of her room and her father immediately looked at her. "Go back to your room and change your clothes!" Remus said and Stella rolled her eyes to her father.
"I will help her!" Daisha came and followed her sister inside her room. "Are you coming with us?" Stella asked her sister but Daisha shook her head. "I'm going somewhere!" Daisha answered and Stella nodded her head.
Daisha was looking at Stella's closet and chose a better dress for her. Stella wore it and Daisha put some makeup on her face. "Good luck!" Daisha whispered to her sister and they went out of the room.
"Better! Let's go!" Remus said and they left the house. They went inside the car and Remus started driving away.
Stella was looking outside when she noticed the path that they were going. "Are we going to our Alpha's house?" Stella asked her father but Remus didn't answer her. "Dad?" Stella called her father and that's when the car stopped in front of their Alpha's house.
"Greet them properly, Stella! Don't make any undesirable movements later!" Remus warned his younger child and got out of the car. Stella followed her father and they were greeted by the sentinels there.
"Our Alpha is waiting for you in the living room." One of the sentinels told Remus and he nodded his head at him. "Thank you!" Remus answered and he looked at Stella. "Remember what I told you!" He whispered to his younger child and Stella nodded her head.
Stella didn't want to be disrespectful so she tried to calm herself even though she wanted to scream at her father. They went inside the house and they immediately saw Alpha Raven.
"You are here! Have a seat!" Alpha Raven told them and they sat on the couch. "Oh! This is your youngest daughter?" He asked Remus, and Remus nodded his head.
"Nice to see you again, Alpha Raven!" Stella greeted their Alpha, "You have a lovable voice, Stella!" Alpha Raven complimented her and she just smiled at him. "Thank you!" Stella said.
"Where is Brandon, Alpha Raven?" Remus asked their Alpha, and they immediately looked around. Stella already heard that name but she didn't meet him once. Alpha Raven called one of the sentinels and told him to find Brandon. "He likes to wander outside and you can't see him stay inside our house." Alpha Raven said and looked at Stella who was uncomfortable sitting there.
"Are you okay, Stella?" Alpha Raven asked her and she immediately nodded her head. "Yes, Alpha! I'm fine!" Stella answered even though she was not fine.
The maids served some snacks for them in the living room and Alpha Raven left so he could look for Brandon. "You are doing well!" Remus whispered to his daughter and Stella didn't answer him. "Just think that you are doing this for our elders." Remus added and that's when Stella looked at him.
"Fine! I will do what you want, Dad!" Stella told her father, "I'm sorry for letting you wait!" Alpha Raven said and he came back to the living room.
A fine man was following him and Stella couldn't take her eyes off him. "Stella, this is my youngest son, Brandon!" Alpha Raven said and Brandon looked at her.
Stella didn't know what to do when Brandon offered his hand to her. "Stella?" She went back to her consciousness when she heard her father's voice calling her. "Oh! Nice to meet you, I'm Stella!" Stella introduced herself and accepted his hand. "Brandon!" The man told her and Stella smiled at him.
"Why don't you go outside and have some talk?" Alpha Raven said and looked at Remus. "Yeah, that's right!" Remus added and looked at Stella.
"We will, let's go!" Brandon said and offered his hand again to Stella. She accepted his hand and she felt how warm his hand was. When they came out of the house, Brandon immediately let go of her hand.
Stella was startled at what he did but she just looked at him, "So, you are my mate that they were talking about." Brandon told her but she didn't know how to answer him. "Yeah, I guess you are against this setup." Stella told him and Brandon looked at her.
"Yeah, I don't want to be married to someone that I don't like!" Brandon told her and Stella froze at what she heard from him.
"What happened earlier?" Remus asked Stella when they were going back to their house. "Nothing important!" Stella answered, and she was looking outside the car. "Don't be so sensitive, Stella! The world that you are living in is worse than you think." Her father told her, and she didn't have the energy to talk back.
They reached their house, and Daisha immediately welcomed them back. "How's your mate, Stella? Is he good-looking?" Daisha asked her sister after following Stella to her room. "He is, but I don't like him!" Stella answered and lay on her bed. "Why?" Daisha asked her, and Stella remembered what Brandon told her earlier.
-
"I know that you are expecting something from me, but lower your expectation because I can't give you anything." Brandon told her, and Stella looked at him seriously. "I'm not expecting anything from you!" Stella told him, and Brandon nodded his head. "That's good! Just tell your father that you don't like me so he will stop pushing you to marry me!" Brandon said, but Stella shook her head. "I can't do that!" Stella answered, and Brandon smirked at her. "Then it is your problem now!" Brandon told her and walked away.
Stella watched him leave and couldn't believe that he was the man that her father wanted for her. "Why don't you tell that to my father?" Stella whispered and went back inside the mansion.
---
"I want to get some sleep, Daisha!" Stella told her sister, and Daisha nodded her head at her. "Of course! I will leave now!" Daisha answered and went out of her room. Stella was looking at the ceiling and could remember Brandon's face.
"Yeah, he is good-looking, but I don't like his attitude!" Stella told herself and went to sleep.
The next day came, and Stella was busy in their garden when her father called her, "What are you doing there? Digging some soil?" Her father asked her, but she didn't say anything. She was already tired of talking to her father. "Why aren't you answering me, huh?" Remus asked his youngest daughter and looked at her seriously. "I'm tired! Just tell me what I should do!" Stella answered, and Remus nodded his head.
"Alpha Raven wants you to have dinner with them. I will just drive you into their house, and let Brandon drive you back here!" Remus told her daughter, and Stella smirked at him. "What if he didn't want to drive me back home?" Stella asked her father and gave him a tired look. "Then walk until you come back here!" Her father answered, and she just nodded her head.
It was already five in the afternoon, and Stella started preparing herself for dinner with Brandon's family. She picked a black midi dress and put her hair into a bun. She also put light makeup to be presentable in their eyes.
Stella left her room, and her father was waiting for her outside their house. "Get in, they are already waiting for you!" Remus told his daughter, and Stella didn't say anything and entered the car. She fastened her seat belt, and her father started driving away.
"Don't do anything that will drag our name down." Her father warned her, and she just nodded her head. "I will do everything you want!" Stella answered while looking outside the car. "That's good!" Her father said, and they reached the mansion of their alpha.
Stella left the car, but before she could close the door, her father told her something: "Remember what I told you!" Remus said, and Stella rolled her eyes at her father. "I will not drag your name down!" Stella answered and closed the door.
She watched her father's car leave until Brandon left their mansion. "What are you doing here? Let's go inside!" Brandon said, and she followed him to their house. "Are you not cold?" Brandon asked her, and she just gave him a tired look. "Stop asking me a lot of questions!" Stella told him and went to the living room.
Alpha Raven was waiting for them in the living room. He stood up when he saw Brandon with Stella. "Good evening, young lady!" Alpha Raven greeted Stella, and Stella smiled at him. "Nice to see you again, Alpa Raven!" Stella said, and Brandon couldn't stop himself from smirking at her. "Let's go to the dining area!" Alpha Raven said, and they entered the dining area.
Stella was startled when Brandon offered her a chair, "Such a plastic!" Stella whispered to him, and Brandon glared at her. "Just sit!" Brandon also whispered to her. "Thank you!" Stella told him and gave him a fake smile. "You're welcome!" Brandon answered and smirked at her.
"Serve the food now!" Alpha Raven instructed their maids, and they served the food right away. "Give me some water, please?" Stella told the maid next to her, "I will!" The maid told her, and Stella smiled at her. She didn't forget to thank the maid for her service.
"Let's start eating now!" Alpha Raven said, and Brandon started serving food to Stella. "Oh! I can do it alone!" Stella told him, but Brandon didn't listen to her. "Let me help you, Stella!" Brandon said, and Stella froze when she heard Brandon say her name.
They started eating, and Stella was conscious while eating her food. "So, Beta Helias trained you to become a warrior?" Alpha Raven asked her, and Stella nodded her head. "His daughter is my best friend, so we used to train together under Beta Helias' supervision." Stella answered, and Alpha Raven was listening to her. "Brandon didn't want to take his training under Beta Helias because he wanted to train without help from others." Alpha Raven said, and Stella looked at Brandon.
"I'm training with someone now!" Brandon answered, and his father immediately looked at him. "With who?" His father asked him and waited for his answer. "It's confidential!" Brandon answered and drank some water. "You should be open with Stella after your marriage!" Alpha Raven said, and Stella got choked with water.
"Nah! It's fine!" Stella answered and cleared her throat.
They finished eating and the maids served red wine. Stella was looking at the wine when Brandon got it. "Do you know how to drink this?" Brandon asked her, and she just looked at him. She didn't say anything and stood up from her chair. "I will just get some air outside!" Stella told Alpha Raven, "Are you okay? Do you need something?" Alpha Raven asked her, and she immediately shook her head. "I'm fine, I want to get some air!" Stella answered, and Alpha Raven let her go outside the mansion.
Stella was walking outside and looking at the flowers in the garden. "My Mom built that garden before she died." Stella was startled when Brandon appeared, "That's why it's beautiful!" Stella answered while looking at the garden. "I'm sorry for everything I told you last time." Brandon told her, and Stella looked at him. "It is fine, I'm used to it!" Stella answered and started walking again.
"Used to it? What do you mean?" Brandon asked her, and she immediately shook her head. "Nothing!" Stella answered and didn't want to share what was happening to her life. "I want to be alone!" Stella added, and Brandon let her walk alone.
Stella stopped walking when she saw a bench near the pond, "I don't know what to do now, Mom!" she whispered and sat on the bench. "I wish that you are still here with me." Stella said and didn't realise that she was already crying. She wiped her tears when she heard footsteps towards her.
"What are you doing here alone?" Alpha Raven appeared, and Stella smiled at him. "I'm appreciating this place!" Stella answered, and Alpha Raven nodded his head. "When your father talked to me about marriage between you and Brandon, I was shocked because it was new to me when he asked something from me." Alpha Raven told her, and she was listening to him attentively.
"Do you want to get married to my son?" Alpha Raven asked her, and she looked at him. She needed to think about what she should answer because it might change his perspective towards her. "Yes, I want to get married to him." Stella answered even though it was not what she felt.
"Thank you for choosing my son! He's just like that, but he is a warm person."Alpha Raven told her and decided to go back to the mansion. Stella wanted to go home so she went to find Brandon.
"Where can I see Brandon?" Stella asked the maid when she saw her walking near her. "He likes to stay outside, just walk around and you can find him there." The maid answered, and Stella nodded her head. "Thank you!" Stella answered and started walking away.
She walked past the pond and the garden, but she couldn't find Brandon. She wanted to go home but no one could drive her back to her home. When she couldn't find Brandon, she decided to walk until she reached her home.
Stella didn't need light while walking in the dark, she could see the road even though it was already dark. She was complaining about her legs but didn't want to shift into her wolf form.
Almost an hour passed, and she was still walking. No one passed the road so she didn't have a choice but to walk again. "Dang, I should learn how to drive!" Stella told herself and kept on walking. She knew that it was already midnight but she was still on the road walking alone.
"I know that he will not drive me back home so it is better to leave without saying goodbye to them." Stella was talking to herself when a car stopped beside her. She immediately looked at and tried to see who was inside the car.
The window opened, and she saw Brandon inside the car. "My Dad told me that I should drive you home." Brandon said, but she refused to get inside the car. "I'm sorry for being a burden but I can walk." Stella told him, and Brandon nodded his head. "Okay, I will just tell him that you don't want to ride with me." Brandon answered and closed the window. He made a U-turn and drove away.
"Yeah, that's right! I don't need you!" Stella said and went back on walking. Half an hour had passed, and she was still walking on the road. "I didn't want to ruin my dress!" Stella told herself and didn't want to change her appearance.
She was startled when she heard a siren behind her so turned around. "Don't be stubborn, come inside!" Brandon told her, and Stella decided to get inside his car. She fastened her seat belt, and Brandon started driving. "My Dad will get mad at me if I let you walk." Brandon told her, but she didn't say anything. She was too tired to talk now, and she wanted to drink some water.
"There's water at the back, if you need some just get it!" Brandon told her, and she immediately looked at the back seat. She saw a bottle of water and got it from the back. "Thank you!" Stellas said and drank the water. "Gosh! I'm tired!" Stella said and looked outside the car.
"Why didn't you call me?" Brandon asked her, but she didn't want to tell him that she looked for him earlier. "I told you that I can walk!" Stella answered while looking outside. "But you just said that you are tired!" Brandon told her, and she rolled her eyes at him.
"Oh! My fault!" Stella said and didn't say anything again. They reached Stella's house, and she got out of the car. "Thank you!" Stella said and closed the door. "No problem!" Brandon answered even though she couldn't hear it.
Stella waited for Brandon to drive away before she went inside their house. She was startled when her father appeared from the living room.
"What happened earlier?" Remus asked his daughter, and Stella just looked at him.
