After Aya married Charles, they went to Hawaii for their honeymoon.
Aya loved the beach so much and being with Charles right now made her mood go crazy for him. Charles was madly in love with her and made love to her all night long.
Charles wanted to show her the beautiful light show near the beach. It was indeed fascinating. They danced with the crowd as the music went on. Aya swayed her body as she dance to the music. Charles held her hand and moved closer to her. He bent his head and kissed her passionately.
"My love, we are in the middle of a crowd. Can't you restrain yourself a bit?" Aya said blushing and leaned on Charles manly chest.
" How could I restrain myself, my Queen? You've cast a spell on me whenever I look at you!" Charles teased her and gave her another kiss.
"Let's have some drink, my love!" She suggested as an excuse for her to be set away from the crowd's attention.
Charles saw some men whose eyes was focused on his wife. He gazed at them with a warning look on his face. Aya noticed his sudden change of facial expression and looked at the direction where he was looking at. She saw the guys lustful look on her. She grabbed her husband's arm and tried to pull him away from the crowd.
"Okay!" He answered and led her towards the bar tender's counter.
When they sat infront of the counter, Charles ordered a glass of martini and Aya's favorite red wine. Aya noticed the bartender's face. He was so handsome and oozing with sex appeal. Not only that but he has a resemblance of someone close to her heart. Charles noticed her gazes on the man. He felt insecure.
"Are you okay, my Queen?" He asked with a certain roughness on his voice.
" He looks exactly like Dad, isn't it, my love?" She whispered in his ears.
Charles stared at the man for two minutes, scanning every features of him. After that, he nodded.
" Excuse me, dear sir! May I know your name?" Charles insisted to ask the man serving their drinks.
Although Willie looked puzzled by Charles way of interrogating him, he politely answered back.
"My name's Willie, Sir." He said with a smile on his face.
" Full name, please?" Charles demanded.
" Willie Harvard. " The bartender said directly.
When Aya and Charles heard his name, they became more interested to know him more. Charles took a sip on his glass of martini while Aya kept observing the bartender's behavior.
" How are you related to the famous Harvard clan?" Charles continued as he put down his glass back to the table.
"I'm not related to them at all, Sir." Willie lied to them. The name Harvard made him sick. He cursed the man who gave his name to him.
Aya noticed his eyes became gloomy, hearing at the name Harvard.
Is that anger l see in his eyes? Aya said to herself and took another sip on her glass of red wine.
" You look exactly like Mister William Harvard, the famous business tycoon in the entire Malvey Country. " Charles said to him casually.
" Well, if that is so, I'm honoured, dear sir." His smile can't hide the anger he felt hearing the name Harvard.
Why is this man kept asking on him about the Harvard? Everybody knows the Harvard family but he was abandoned after his father broke up with her mother one year ago. He saw how her mother suffered from their break up.The pain was still fresh. He said to himself.
"What's your mother's name if I may ask?" Charles was being persistent.
" Laura Mariz Valdez, Sir." He answered again.
" Do you live here? Your mother must be very proud to have you as his son. I can see that you are a hard working man." Now, Charles was being considerate on him.
" Yes, I live here but it's only temporary. I'll go back to Macau to visit my mom and probably settle down in Malvey City in Malvey Country afterwards. " He said straightforwardly.
" I see." Charles nodded as he heard his reply. They finished their drinks and paid their bill.
Charles left the bar, hand in hand with his wife.
In their private room in a famous hotel, Aya was leaning on her husband's chest while they were lying close to each other in their bed.
" What do you think of him, my love?" Aya asked him. Charles knew to whom his wife was referring to.
" Well, he's honest and hardworking." Charles simply replied.
" Do you think we could help him out?" She looked up to stare at his face.
" Why?" Charles looked at her and their eyes met.
" I don't know. I feel comfortable with him and there's a mystery on how he looked whenever you mentioned to him our family's name although I'm already Mrs. Hokkins now." She said and smiled.
"I'm beginning to think you like that guy." A little jealousy can be felt with his words.
"Stop it!... I'm only yours, my love." Aya raised her two hands to hold her husband's face with it.
" Well, that's better! I love you so much and I don't want anyone to get close to you especially that guy." Charles smiled and his jealousy was replaced with a flaming desire to have her.
" Cheez...You're hopeless!" Aya teased him and laughed. "I love you, too!"
"Come here!" Charles grabbed her wife's body more closer and closer to him. "This is our last day from our honeymoon, my Queen. Let's make the most of it. Okay?"
She smiled and nodded. Charles slide his hands on Aya's back and kissed her passionately. Their longing to become one made them moaned and groaned. They made love the entire night.
Early morning, Aya felt weak and weary. Charles took her to take a bath with him in the shower room. They changed clothes and took their private jet in going back to Malvey Country. It took them three hours until they finally landed at Charles company roof top.
Charles held her hands tightly when they got off their private jet. He kissed her before heading to his office while she was taken by Ben into the Harvard company building.
Aya was still hooked up with the thought of having another brother. She can't stay still on her office so she went to their house. She asked Timothy to drive her to their mansion.
When she arrived, she headed towards her father's private study room.
I know I could find something in here. She said as she started to search on a clue to confirm her suspicion.
In her father's drawer, she saw a picture of a family. It wasn't their picture but it was definitely a family picture of her father with her lover before. She saw a hand writing at the back of the picture: Willie Harvard, Laura Mariz Valdez and William Harvard.
Aya took her phone and called up Jillian.
" Hello, Jillian! Its me!" She said instantly.
" Aya! How's the Mrs. Hokkins doing?" Jillian asked as she giggled with excitement.
" I'm fine. How about you?" She answered.
"I'm great!" Jillian said cheerfully.
" Are you busy right now?" Her voice was so sweet that Jillian couldn't ignore hearing it.
"I have lots of time for you, girl. What's up?" She said gladly to Aya.
" I need your help on something. " Aya could only trust this case to her.
Hearing her usual words, Jillian suspected that her friend was into another personal case. She shook her head at the thought of it.
"Whew! You never change, do you? So what is it now?" She whistled as she made a remark on her friend.
" I want you to investigate a man named Willie Harvard. " Aya said without hesitation.
" Harvard you say? Am I hearing this correct?" Jillian was suddenly confused. The only Harvard she knew in the entire Malvey Country were Theo, Brian, William and her dearest friend Aya. Whose these another Harvard? Her mind was puzzled by this.
Now, she understood why Aya wanted to take this case seriously and give it to her. She was silent for a couple of minutes.
" Yes! I want to know more about him. Will you do that for me?" Aya was really into knowing the truth.
Jillian sighed and said to her: " Okay!"
Having so much of her free time, Jillian went to play basketball with her boy friends. Unlike other fine young lady, Jillian was too different. She liked to do men's stuff. She has only one brother and a half sister. She went to the black district where her friends were currently playing at the basketball court.
" Hey, guys! Can I join?" She said loudly.
A group of men stopped playing and looked at her direction. They all smiled when they saw her.
" Look who finally showed up! Long time no see, little sis!" The tallest man in the group said as he approached her.
" Cut the crap, man! I'm not that little girl anymore. I'm a grown up already. " She was irritated a bit.
" So, can I kiss you then?" His confidence was overwhelming and everyone seemed to be enjoying his act.
" Kiss your ass, man!" She said coldly.
They all laughed and gave her a welcome hug. She took off her police uniform jacket and put on her spare t-shirt. Everyone was shocked when she didn't even bother herself from being stared by her friends.
" Cheez...Can't you at least tell us that you want to change clothes?" Albert remarked when she was putting on her t-shirt.
" Stop nagging! Are you ashamed to look at me?" She said anxiously.
The other guys laughed at them. When she was finished, they began to play basketball again. Red team versus blue team. Jillian was on the red team. They were all perspiring heavily.
When they finished the first quarter, they all sat down and drank water. Jillian was so thirsty and felt hot. After a minute of break, Jillian saw a man wearing a jogging pants and a trouser.
" Whose that? It's the first time I saw him here." Jillian pointed the man jogging around the court.
" His name is Willie Harvard. His living here with his mother." Albert said as a response to her.
" According to his neighbours, he dedicated himself to take care of his mother when his father broke up with his mother. " Brix said in giving her more information.
" He is working as a bartender at night and a manager of Crimson Hotel in the morning till afternoon." Roger added.
" He just arrive last night from Hawaii." Justine interacted with their conversation.
" You're a good gossipers, aren't you?" Jillian mocked at them. She took her drinking water and drank again.
What a coincidence? I can do my work without being suspected. This is going to be easy for me. She thought to herself. She glanced back to her team mates who were giving information to her.
" Its not a gossip. We're saying the truth." Justine reclaimed.
" His right little sis. We don't do gossips. We speak only the truth. " Brix demanded.
Jillian put her both hands up. Telling them that she surrendered.
" Fine! Fine! Fine!" She said in defeat.
After taking a short break, they continued playing for the second half. Jillian saw Albert threw the ball to her. Unexpectedly, she got slipped and was about to fall down into the floor.
" Little sis, watch out!" everyone shouted when they saw her out balanced.
As she was about to fall to the floor, a strong manly arms held her body instantly. She was saved by a man whom they were talking about with her friends a while ago.Their eyes met and they felt something that made them kept staring at each other.
Wow, her eyes are so enchanting! Her lips are so luscious. Her skin was so soft. Who is this girl? Willie said to himself. He was struck by this woman's beauty.
Jillian lost her senses for a while as they were staring at each other. But when she heard her friends calling her name, she got back to her senses. She choked to give him a sign to let her go.
Willie got her point and carefully helped her to stand up properly.
" Thank you!" She said when she had composed herself in his presence.
The man smiled and Jillian was like mesmerized by his sexy lips.
"I'm Willie Harvard. What's yours?" The man's husky voice resonated into her ears as if she was hearing a sweet kind of music.
" Jillian Casanova." She replied.
" Nice to meet you. Be careful next time." He said cheerfully.
" Yeah, sure thing!" Jillian said smiling at him.
All the boys gathered around them and they looked so worried.
"Little sis, are you alright?" Each of them said it in chorus.
She laughed on how adorable her friends were behaving like this. But her laugh didn't last long, she heard a gun shot near by. She gave them formal look in her face and alerted herself to leave them at once. The call of duty was calling her.
"I'm fine! I'm sorry. I've got to go, guys! Nice playing with you!" She said and quickly grabbed her uniform on the floor.
" When will you come again?" Albert asked loudly.
" I'll drop by again sometime. Bye!" She said glancing at them for a bit as she kept on running.
When her figure disappeared in their presence. They felt sad and disappointed that they didn't continue their game.
" She's incredible! Does she have a boyfriend?" Willie said in admiration. He glanced at the person at his side waiting for an answer.
" We don't know, man. She's like a mystery to us, you know? But she is a nice girl." Albert answered.
" Yeah, I can tell by the looks of her." Willie agreed. His smile was looked more energetic now and his eyes was glowing.
Albert noticed how he behaved and gave a teasing smile on him.
" You like her don't you?" He asked with a teasing tone.
Willie glanced at him looking confused but his smile was intact.
" Maybe or maybe not." Willie answered and left.
Albert was confused on his answer as well.
" What an idiot?!" He said.
In Crimson Hotel ....
Willie was dressed up in a bartender suit. Every woman kept staring at him. They were admiring his manly figure and his kind treatment to everyone he encountered. He became famous in the bar because of his enchanting looks. She can steal every woman's heart in an instant, without putting much effort into it.
A rich young lady who seemed to be already drank approached him.
" Hey there handsome! Do you have a girlfriend?" She said in a seductive manner.
Willie gave her a sexy smile and said: " I don't have a girlfriend but I'm not looking for one either, my lady."
" Ow, how shame! Anyway, if ever you change your mind, just call me." She said bitting her lower lips. She passed to him a calling card and left.
Willie was already accustomed to this kind of situation. His been in this job for almost 5 years and he knew how to handle it without putting himself in trouble. When he went at the back room, he tore the calling card that was given to him. He hated that kind of woman.
He went back to the counter and was shocked to see Jillian wearing a sexy red dress.
" One glass of vodka, please?" She said to him. She didn't bothered looking at his face.
Willie smiled and pour a vodka on a shotting glass. He carefully placed the glass of vodka infront of her.
" Thank you!" She said ignoring his presence.
" Jillian is that you?" He asked to get her attention.
Jillian looking confused. She stared at the person who called out her name. She was surprised who it was.
" Willie? Wow, what a coincidence?" She said in disbelief.
" I see that you recalled my name. How nice of you, my lady! " He used his sweet tongue technique again.
Usually a normal girl would blush when being complimented by a handsome man like him, but to his surprise, there was no effect on Jillian.
Jillian took a sip on her glass and put it back to the table.
" You're working here?" She asked casually.
" Yes! Every night. Is this your first time here, my lady?" He kept smiling at her. He was struck by her enchanting beauty again.
" I see! Oh, no! I've been here for quite sometime." She answered and took another sip on her glass.
" Do you have a date?" He asked again.
Jillian was getting annoyed by him. Why is he keep on talking to me? Surely, he has something in his mind. I'll play with your game if that's what you want. She said to herself.
" No, I don't! Would you like to be my date?" She answered with a flirty act. She smiled and bit her lower lips expressing a seductive look on her.
Willie seemed attracted to her way of flirting and gently, he gave her a sweet savouring kiss. Their kiss was so intense that made Jillian moaned.
This was her first kiss. Oh my God! He had stolen my first kiss and even my heart with it. Am I drank? Why is this happening to me? She thought.
Jillian panicked at the time his lips left her lips. She was satisfied but she also felt disappointed.
She bowed her head to hide her embarrassment.
Willie some how felt that he wanted more of her. He stared at her tenderly.
Jillian finished the last drop of vodka on her glass and paid her bill without glancing at him.
" Jillian! Wait!" He shouted but she kept on walking casually without looking back at him.
When Jillian arrived at her apartment, she immediately took a shower leaving her dress lying down on the floor. Her senses were out of control. She desired to have a more passionate moment with Willie.
All she thought of was how they shared a sensational kiss.
Reminiscing what happened to her a while back, she traced her lips with her index finger. She licked her lips as if she can still taste his lips from hers.
What am I doing? This isn't me at all. Why am I thinking about him? Crap! I need to be aware of myself the next time. She said to herself.
She pulled her blanket and tried to put herself to sleep.
Early morning, she got up and ready for work. She drove her car and headed to their department.
She arrived early than the others as usual. She sat down on her chair and opened some files on her computer.
" Good morning, inspector!" A man in uniform greeted her.
" Good morning!" She said without even looking at him.
" Are you going out today for inspection, Ma'am?" He asked standing infront of her desk.
" Yes!" She answered.
" Would you like me to accompany you, Ma'am?" He offered himself to her.
" Thanks but I can do it on my own." She declined.
The man was disappointed and turn his back. Jillian somehow felt guilty from always declining him. She raised her head and glanced at him.
" Hey! Tomorrow, you can come with me." She said to comfort him a little. She wanted to give him a chance.
The man smiled victoriously upon hearing her command.
" Yes, Ma'am." He cheerfully glanced back at her with a smile on his face.
" Don't be late or I'll leave without you tomorrow. " She said in a warning tone.
He nodded and happily went into his respective desk.
Jillian has a soft spot for those whom she looked persistent and hardworking people. After finishing her reports, she left the building using her car. She went around the City to check the situation. On her way to black district, she stopped by in a nearby store. She bought two cold soft drinks to quench her thirst.
While she was drinking, she noticed a woman carrying a bag of rice and some groceries. The woman seemed to be alone and tired because she was full of sweat on her face. The weather was hot and everyone were craving for something to ease the hotness in the surrounding.
After finishing her drink and put the other one inside her car, she crossed to the other side of the road.
" Excuse me, ma'am, do you need help?" She asked to the woman standing infront of the opposite store.
" Oh, no need! My place is not far away from here. Thank you! " The woman declined her offer.
But Jillian insisted since she looked at the woman's facial expression. It appeared that she was desperately in need of help and she was being shy.
" Please let me help you, ma'am." Jillian took the bag of rice and put it on her compartment. The woman had no choice but to agree to her demand.
"Oh alright if you insist! Your such a sweet girl!" The woman said in defeat.
Jillian took her groceries and put it on her compartment once again. She opened the car door at the driver's seat side. The woman went inside the car and Jillian turned to the other side of the car. She sat at the driver seat and started to drive.
As they were on the highway, Jillian was focused into her driving. The silence between them was broken when the woman started to have a conversation with her.
" Are you single?" The woman asked.
"Do I look like a married girl, ma'am?" She answered back with a question, too. She spoke casually.
"Oh, no! It's just that you're so beautiful that I thought you were married. A beautiful girl like you is likely hooked already into a serious relationship. " The woman explained and felt embarrassed.
"I'm single and definitely have no boyfriend, ma'am." Jillian said coldly.
The woman felt awkward and looked back at the road.
"Turn to the black district, please?" The woman said when she saw her way to her house.
Jillian turned right towards the black district as instructed to her.
" Stop at that three storey apartment ahead. Please?" The woman said to her.
When they were infront of the building, she pulled over and got off her car together with the woman. She opened her compartment and brought out all the woman's groceries and the bag of rice.
She carried the bag of rice while the woman took the groceries.
Following the woman as she walked towards the apartment, Jillian entered the woman's place.
" Please come in!" The woman said to her cheerfully.
Jillian put down the bag of rice infront of the woman's room.
"Oh, no need, Ma'am!" Jillian said hesitantly.
"Please?" The woman pleaded.
Jillian doesn't want to be rude so she gave in to her request.
"Okay!" Jillian said as she entered the room. " Do you mind if I look around ma'am?"
" Sure! Feel at home! By the way, may I know your name, my dear?" The woman said to her politely.
" Jillian Casanova. " She answered.
" And I'm Laura Mariz Valdez. Just call me Aunt Laura." The woman smiled shyly.
"You're living alone here, Ma'am? I mean...Aunt Laura?" Jillian felt awkward saying aunt to her.
She walked around the living room and saw some displayed pictures.
"Oh, no sweetheart! I am living here with my son." Laura said happily.
Jillian noticed a picture of a baby boy. She took it and looked at it carefully.
"This picture is so cute." She said with admiration.
Laura came closer to her and looked at the photo she was staring at.
"That's my son when he was a baby." She said with pride and joy.
Suddenly, Jillian saw another picture and took it. " Wait a minute! Who is this, Ma'am?" She said in surprise.
"That's my one and only son, Willie." Laura said as she gazed at the picture.
They were happily having a conversation when a man came inside the room. The man looked at the person whom his mother was talking to and realized that it was Jillian.
"Jillian, what are you doing here?" The man said out of curiosity.
Jillian and Laura looked at where the voice was coming from. Laura approached the man who happened to be his son while Jillian somehow felt awkward.
"You know each other?" Laura said gazing at both of them.
"Yes, mom! She's a friend of mine. " Willie admitted.
Laura saw a spark on his son's eyes and knew that the girl he called his friend was someone special to him.
"That's great!" She remarked. " Since you knew each other, can you please entertain her for a while. I'll just prepare us something to eat."
Willie nodded. Laura left them for a while to get something to give to Jillian as a sign of her appreciation. She went to the kitchen while Willie and Jillian were sitting opposite to each other.
"How did you meet my mother?" He asked. His eyes were glowing as he looked at her.
"I saw her in a store, carrying a lot of stuff so I help her out." She said coldly. She kept herself composed. "Black district is a dangerous place for her to walk alone." She added.
"Aren't you afraid of this place?" He asked.
"Why should I?" She answered.
"You said this place is dangerous. " He stated.
Jillian smiled mysteriously at him.
"Black district is my refuge. I come here every time I wanted to escape from reality. " She explained.
"I see!" He remarked.
Laura came back to them with a tray of food on her hands. She put the tray of food at the center table.
"Have some rice cake and juice. I made them especially for especial guest like you." She said staring at Jillian.
"How nice of you, Ma'am.... I mean Aunt. Thank you!" She said but her mobile phone vibrated in her pocket and she took it out. She read the message sent to her silently using only her eyes. She stood up and stare at Laura.
"Sorry, ma'am....I mean Aunt.... but I have to go." She said formally.
"Is it urgent?" Laura asked. Her face became sad.
"Yes! Thank you for inviting me to your humble home, Aunt...Willie..." She said with an apologetic look on her face. She turned her back and was about to leave when Willie spoke to her again eagerly.
"Jillian, can I have your number?" He asked and stood up.
"Sure! I'll give it to you next time." She said hesitantly.
"Promise?" He said in a sweet tender voice.
Jillian was confused for a bit. "Sorry but I don't want promise."
Willie got curious on her statement. "Why?" He asked.
Jillian bowed her head with a sad face. She didn't dare looked back at him.
"Promises are made to be broken." She said sadly and ran towards the door. She got outside the apartment and headed to their department.
When she arrived at their office, she went to the director's office.
" Inspector Jillian, it's good that you're here. I want you to meet Bradley." Her director said glancing at the other man standing next to her.
" What is the meaning of this, Sir?" Jillian asked promptly.
" He is your new partner. I hope you'll get along with each other." The director declared.
Jillian was not pleased to hear their directors command. She shook hands with the new man.
" Permission to leave, Sir!" Jillian saluted and went outside the room followed by her new partner.
Feeling disappointed at the news about her having a partner, Jillian took her car and went back to black district. It was already night fall when she arrived at the basketball court. Willie was about to head back to the hotel when he noticed her sitting quietly in the bench.
"Jillian, why are you here all alone?" He asked as he got closer to her.
"Mind your own business, will you?" She got annoyed by his presence.
Willie saw how depressed she was. He wanted to cheer her up so, he grabbed her hand.
"Come with me!" He said as he forced her to follow him.
"Hey, where are you taking me?" Jillian got confused.
Not far away from the basketball court was an open barbecue stand. Jillian was forced to sit next to him. He ordered a plate full of barbecue with a vinegar side dipping in it.
What is this guy up to? Why did he take me here? I don't get it! Why is he wasting his time for me? Jillian said to herself as she stared at him.
" Try it!" He was looking at the food that was served for them." Don't worry. It's my treat." He said with a smile.
"You're hungry?" She said curiously.
Willie took a stick of barbecue meat and dipped it into the vinegar.
"Well I didn't have much time at work to eat so I'd like to eat now with you." He answered cheerfully.
Jillian rolled her eyeballs in disbelief. This guy is weird. She said to herself.
"Yeah, right!" She said and took a stick of barbecue meat too. She took a bite when she finished dipping it into the vinegar.
"Mmmm...this is good!" She remarked after chewing a piece of meat.
Willie glanced at her and felt delighted with her remark. They continued eating until there was no more food left in the plate. She was stuffed and had forgotten why she was depressed a while ago.
"Thanks for the treat!" She said with a simple smile.
Willie nodded and remembered something afterwards.
"Can I have your number now? We're friends now, right?" He asked.
Jillian laughed and said to him: "Okay. You win!"
She took her mobile phone from her pocket and sent her number to him when he gave his number to her. After eating, Jillian stood up and turned her back from him. She was heading back to her car when Willie shouted at her.
"Jillian, I'll call you tonight!" He said loudly.
"Whatever!" She said waving her hand as she bid farewell to him.
