Hence, the daily dialogues between them are as follows: Liz: "Dear, I will cook you a meal today"; Greg: "OK". Liz: "Honey, let me give you a massage" ; Greg: "OK". Liz: "Dear, I love you"; Greg: "OK. No. Wait. I love you more". In short, this is also a sweet story.

Chapter 1 Run out on a Wedding

Liz Tuccillo's body felt damp and sticky, and she could not tell if it was sweat or water.

With her brows furrowed, she opened her eyes in a daze.

A tall slender figure became clear in her sight.

The look in the eyes belonging to that figure was as indifferent as a serene lake, and the pupils were as deep as there was a galaxy inside.

His brows were delicate, his nose was high-bridged, his countenance was fair and smooth, and his thin lips were slightly pursed.

It was a perfect face, giving off a noble, graceful vibe.

Meanwhile, his expression was tinged with an imperceptible touch of disappointment.

Greg Behrendt!

It was him!

How could it be? Was not he dead?

Liz's heart abruptly hurt like someone was poking it with needles.

Was this a dream?

Was this momentary recovery of consciousness before death?

No matter what, if she could see Greg again, she would never let him go!

"Greg!"

Liz called out to the man, then hooked his neck with her arms and tilted her head to move towards his thin lips.

"You! Ugh!"

Greg's mouth was covered by the woman's before he could come to his senses.

Liz's Lips were as soft as rose petals with the sweet scent of female breathing. The kissing was like a deadly poison, taking away the man's reason.

After letting go of her mouth, Liz gasped for air.

Although they had been married for years, they seldom kissed, and Liz still had no idea how to keep breathing while kissing.

Her cheeks were burning hot.

It was the first time she took the initiative to kiss him.

It felt good with sweetness left between her lips and teeth.

Thank the Lord for giving her such a pleasant dream before her death.

"You just fell in the river. Did you get water in your head?"

Greg's voice was pleasing to the ear.

With her eyes narrowed, Liz fell to the ground with enjoyment.

It was time to die eventually.

A cold finger poked her forehead non-stop.

And a mellow, somewhat interrogative voice sounded.

"Liz, what the hell are you doing?"

Liz wrinkled her nose.

The dream lasted longer than she had expected.

"Is it because you want me to save your father that you've been so active?"

To save Dad?

Was not Dad dead as well?

Wait, something seemed to be wrong.

Liz abruptly opened her eyes and looked around with her eye sockets wide open.

She saw the European-style, luxurious ceiling, the pale blue chiffon curtains, the tan bed edges, floor, and door.

It was all too familiar.

She had lived in this environment for five years!

And she had been with the man before her eyes for five years as well.

Only then did she realize that Greg was soaked to the skin, and when she looked down, she found that she herself was wet from top to bottom too.

Liz suddenly nursed a sense of déjà vu at the familiar scene and items.

Then, she reached out to grab Greg's hand.

An ordinary platinum ring on his slender finger came into the woman's view.

Liz purchased the cheapest ring on purpose to annoy Greg.

During their five years of marriage, Greg only wore it for one day.

And that only day was their wedding day.

Thus, she concluded that she was on their wedding day at this moment.

Liz was reborn!

She traveled back to five years ago!

Waves of ecstasy and excitement filled her heart.

Liz could not help but grab Greg by the scruff of his neck again and give him a deep kiss on the lips.

"Greg, it's so good to see you again! It's amazing."

Greg frowned uncomprehendingly.

He did not stop the woman from holding him tightly but lowered his head to touch her forehead with his.

It was not hot, so she did not have a fever.

Then why did she suddenly talk nonsense?

With a darkened expression, he removed her hands from his neck.

He put his arms around his chest with a standoffish look in his eyes.

"Two hours ago, you ran out on our wedding in public, and now you're saying it's good to see me again? Liz, what the hell are you doing?"

Chapter 2 How Could He Know

Liz got frozen by Greg's instantly chilled demeanor, flinched at his questioning, then knocked her own head with her fist.

No wonder his expression was so gloomy.

It was their wedding day.

But right after they exchanged the rings, she left him and ran off with Chris Webb in front of everyone.

She almost got killed in a car accident on the road.

It was Greg who saved her.

Greg held her in his arms and rolled ten feet into the river.

Then she passed out and woke up with both of them dripping wet.

"Say it!"

Greg's icy voice sounded again.

Liz looked up and saw the profound pain in his obsidian-like eyes.

He must be devastated and disappointed in her.

Liz recalled that when she ran out on the wedding in the previous life, she looked back through the crowd at the door with a sharp soreness in her chest and saw Greg standing there with a distressed helpless look in his eyes.

At that very moment, her heart was touched.

However, back then, all she could think about was Chris, and she was so obsessed with marrying Chris that she could not sense Greg's affection for her at all.

"You have nothing to defend yourself, do you?"

The words hit Liz's heart like a hammer, and she hurriedly looked up at Greg, saying, "No, I can explain."

"Explain what?"

The woman's panic was a mockery of him in Greg's eyes.

Was Liz trying to make up an excuse? Was she worried that Greg would hurt Chris?

Did she love Chris that much?

The pain pierced Greg's heart!

Greg's breathing quickened, his emotions eventually got the better of him, and he leaned down to crush the hesitant petite woman.

Then, his kisses overwhelmed Liz.

She was his woman, and it was their wedding day. How could she have been so cruel?

Liz was in a trance with her nostrils filled with Greg's scent.

The man had a perfect face and a heart loyal to her. Why the hell did not she cherish his affection in her previous life?

Since she could live once again, she would not let go of him in this life.

With her eyes closed, Liz tried hard to respond to the man's action.

Greg's kissing was so fervent that Liz could barely keep up with her breathing. Intuitively, she bit his bottom lip gently.

Something chemical exploded in Greg's head, and the look in his eyes became blurred.

Liz did not resist his kisses.

At this moment, Liz stretched her arms upward and accidentally touched something icy and hard underneath the pillow.

Her eyes snapped open.

She recalled it.

After Liz woke up from the coma in the previous life, she still insisted on leaving and looking for Chris.

Out of fury, Greg occupied Liz's body, and Liz took out the dagger she had hidden under the pillow and stabbed him while struggling.

The blood at that moment incarnadined Liz's memory fragments.

"Aren't you going to take it out?"

The clear, mellow voice halted Liz's recollection of the previous life.

Liz came to her senses, looked at Greg awkwardly, then faked a cough, and said, "Pardon me?"

Greg's eyes had regained their clarity, and he shot a glance at the pillow.

"A dagger. You hid it there long ago, didn't you?"

"I..."

How could he know?

Could it be that Greg had known about the dagger in the previous life?

Then why did he not stop her but allow her to stab him?

That was a ruthless stab that left Greg in a coma for days before he was out of danger, and the Behrendt Family was so angry that they almost chop Liz into pieces.

With his eyes narrowed, Greg leaned down and reached out beneath the pillow to grab Liz's hand and the dagger it was holding.

Then, he took them out.

The dagger was dazzling.

"Watch out!" Liz turned pale with fear.

"Watch out?" Greg sneered.

Grabbing Liz's hand, the man thrust the dagger hard at his own heart.

Chapter 3 Lead a Better Life

"Ah!"

Liz screamed in shock, her face turning even paler.

Greg yanked Liz's wrist, and the dagger stopped before his heart as the tip of the blade narrowly touched his shirt.

"Greg, what are you doing!"

Liz hurriedly withdrew her hand, threw the dagger to the floor, and then patted her chest with relief.

That was a close call. She almost made the same mistake.

If she stabbed Greg again, the rebirth would be pointless.

Greg stared at her movements with an indifferent expression.

"What's wrong? Isn't this what you wanted in the first place? Didn't you put the dagger there to stab me someday?"

Liz was stunned and kept her head lowered in silence for five seconds.

Just as Greg would sneer one more time, she snapped her head up and pulled Greg's neck.

With her nose placed against Greg's, Liz looked into his eyes and said in a grave tone of voice, "I wanted to, but now I've changed my mind."

"Huh?"

Greg frowned, wondering what trick the woman was playing.

Liz snorted softly, then let go of the man.

"I have decided that from now on, I'll try my best to lead a better life with you."

The air froze at her words.

After staring at the woman for a good while, Greg once again reached out to feel her forehead to make sure a fever or something did not muddle her.

"Are you, Liz?" Greg stared at the woman with a suspicious look in his eyes.

The woman nodded vigorously.

"Liz Tuccillo. And you're Greg Behrendt." She grinned.

Greg suddenly found the woman's grin familiar.

When they were freshmen in high school, the teacher asked them to introduce themselves one by one.

Liz grinned like this when she presented herself back then.

That was an adorable grin.

At Liz's self-introduction then, Greg lifted his head to look at her.

The girl's features were delicate, her almond-shaped eyes were crystal-clear, her neck was slender, and her collarbones were lovely.

From then on, he fell in love with her and could not extricate himself.

"But, you're not..."

Greg did not want to finish the rest of her sentence.

From high school to the present and from being a teenage girl to Greg's wife, the man that Liz, Greg's beloved woman, liked was always Chris.

Chris was the thorn in Greg's heart.

Liz instantly figured out what Greg was thinking by glancing at the painful look in his eyes.

Liz hurried to shake her head.

"No, no."

She grabbed Greg's hand with an earnest, urgent expression on her face.

"Greg, it was all because my ignorance blinded me that I let you, such a perfect and wonderful man, go and didn't cherish your affection but gave my heart to Chris.

I was wrong. I was utterly wrong.

Starting from today, we are a married couple, and you're my husband. I promise I'll try my best to lead a happy life with you."

These words were what Liz wanted to say before her death in the previous life. At that time, she regretted very much that she did not cherish her time with Greg and tossed both of their lives away.

She had never expected to be given a chance to speak them out in front of Greg. Liz herself was touched by her words, sniffing her nose and pursing her mouth to tamp down the urge to cry.

Greg's brows throbbed several times involuntarily.

He still could not believe it was Liz who was saying these words. Thus, he reached out to feel his own forehead.

"Perhaps I'm the one who got water in the head?"

There must be quite a bit of it. Otherwise, Greg would not have been hallucinating.

Haha!

Greg's self-talk amused Liz.

With her brows curled up in laughter, Liz bent one finger to flick the man's head tenderly.

"Greg, why are you so cute?"

She did not realize that he was such a cutie in the previous life.

Greg furrowed his brows with embarrassment, and his cheeks became somewhat reddish.

"Stop baffling yourself."

Liz beamed with joy and boldly stroked Greg's hair.

"No worries. You're not in over your head. It's that I've come to my senses to feel touched by your genuine affection for me."

"Liz!" Greg roared.
