I woke up again to find myself locked up in a cage like an animal. That is where I always find myself after winning an almost losing battle which involves me having possession of some powers I have no knowledge of. I would remain in that cage with no food nor water but I survived anyways. Who was I? I was neither human nor animal,I was both.i gat elf's ears, carrot nose ,legs like that of a horse, got human breast though hairy and I got a hole. Wondering what I am? well I know not either ,guess I just have to keep breathing until the day I meet the wizard again. My name is Special and this is my story....

Chapter 1 Special

I woke up with a heavy grunt, wondering what was happening to me. I did a quick check up on myself and heaved.

Finally that beautiful lady, with no horse legs or carrot nose, though I still had elf ears. I strode along the decanted area hoping to catch a glimpse of the wizard instead I saw a horse.

yeah, a black horse which stood wagging its tail staring at me. I looked around to be sure no one had kept it there but saw nothing.

Was it lost in the woods or was it for me?

I stood there watching its glowing furs, how I wish mine was that soft and glowing, but I didn't admire it for long as I found myself touching every part of its body.

Was it a male or...

God of medusa!!

"Jeiel!!"

A lady snorted and I quickly took cover from the bush.

"Jeiel , have been searching for you and here you are," she ran to him happily.

"Just where you got missing, you won't stop to amaze me," she rubbed it's fur and smiled and the horse grunted in pleasure.

I stared at her in disbelief. Do such humans exist, like talking and making friends with animals?

Wow! I stared mouth agape.

I watched as she played with it and finally they rode away and I traced after them.

I followed them to a beautiful palace and I had to stay hidden because there were a lot of armed men at the entrance. They searched their bodies to be sure they weren't armed, they bowed afterwards and opened the gates for them. I came out of hiding to see how the palace was ,then Jeiel wagged its tail and turned back staring at me.

I stared back and wondered if it was some creature like me and then the lady rubbed his head and walked away with it.

I was about to go when I heard my name.

"Special.... oh you're here already..."

"Who are you and how do you know my name?" I asked moving a little backward.

"I am Damina,'' he grinned and stared at me.

"Why are you staring? I creased my brows at him.

"Just want to be sure they're elf's ears,'' he replied huskily and I stared at him confused.

He scoffed and said "come with me,I have something to show you" I had to run after him as he had left even before finishing the sentence.

"So.." I started, hoping he would tell me something.

"Yeah,we will be there soon

" he said without even sparing me a glance and I trailed after him.

"So, where are you taking me," I asked frustrated.

"Ain't you sure of your powers?" he huffed and brushed past me.

"Hey! I was just asking okay," I said abashed.

"Well here we are." he spread his hands apart smiling.

I had thought we will never gets here, I heaved as I stared awkwardly at a strange large, round stone

"Here's a horse I would like you to meet, his name is Jeiel." I stood frozen at the mention of its name and watched it displayed on the big tombstone at the center of the large stone.

"He is the crown prince of Medusa,he got transformed into a horse at a war front by the wizards kingdom and his kindred had searched for his body right after the war but couldn't find him."

"So what you're saying is, the crown prince which has now turned into a horse is believed to be dead by his people. But there was a lady who was extremely nice to it, or so it seemed." I asked.

"Abel. Only she knows that he is human because he speaks, but she doesn't know it as her prince."

"What do you have for me?'' I asked, already prepared for the task.

He stared at me perfunctorily and grinned.

"Now that's what I want to hear, '' he claps his hand and stands firmly.

"We will hit by evening. That's when Abel will take him out for second grazing,'' he said and cleared out a table strategizing his plans on it.

Special watched his every move and nodded at intervals.

"Then we are good to go,'' Damina said, satisfied by his plans.

"Alright. let's set to work, she said, making to go but he held her back.

"One more thing special," he took some clothes and gave them to her.

"What are these?" she asked and he didn't look surprised.

"They are clothes and you have to put them on and get rid of that loin you're putting on,'' he said and parted her back.

"Oh!" she gasped

"I've seen them.. but they look perfect." She took off her clothes and Damina gasped and looked away. She huffed and continued with her thing.

"Am set." she said and he proffered her to the stone, spoke some incantations and the image of Abel and the horse popped out.

She was talking to the prince and kept calling his name.

-

"Jeiel you're so funny, how old are you anyways, '' Abel asked, staring at the horse sitting close to her.

"I don't know,'' he replied and she furrowed her brow at him.

"But I know I am older and you could be more like a younger sister to me,'' he said and she cracked.

"Really Jeiel, that's not funny at all, I have a kid of about 15 years,so you see there's no way we are mates, '' she joked and Jeiel fell down laughing heavily.

"I really enjoy your company Jeiel, how I wish you could transform back to human and maybe we could be more than friends,'' she said, staring dreamily at him.

With her staring at him and him doing the same , she couldn't wish for more than a kiss.

Oh! She so wished the forces that turned him to a horse should turn him back to human, she shrugged off her thoughts and noticed Jeiel had a quiet mood.

Was he thinking about his family?

No, his family was wiped out right?

Jeiel on the other hand was thinking about the lady he saw. He has never seen anyone so beautiful like her and her ears were not like theirs.

Was she human?

She looked so unusual like some alien. All he could think of was seeing her again, maybe he could ask her why she's putting on a loincloth.

"Jeiel..Abel called, tapping him softly and he broke out of his thoughts.

"Jeiel it's time for your grazing, immediately she said that he gave out a warming smile and stood.

"Let's go princess,'' he said and Abel blushed.

She really didn't want to believe she was falling for a horse.

-

"They're on the move , transport me there,'' Special said rather impatient. She couldn't wait to transform it back.

"I don't transport , I will only open the portal for you and you set your mind on where you want to go,'' Damina explained.

"But I've never transported." She said, confused.

"Your powers are more than that and I shouldn't be listing out every single thing to you spec_"

"I get it." She cut him off.

"Can you atleast open the portal now,'' she said bleary and he nodded.

He stood at the front of the large, round stone. With his hands stretched forward he said some magic words and the stone opened. He nudged her to go inside and she did, slowly the stone closed up and she was in total darkness.

What was she supposed to do now?

Oh, she was to set her mind on where she wanted to go.

Yeah, perfect

She stood and released the air she had been holding and set her mind towards where she wanted to go but a distraction came and with a loud thud she was swept off her feets.

Chapter 2 Meeting Jeiel

She couldn't control herself let alone her emotions.

Oh! What was she to do now? This was getting harder than she thought.

She groaned in pain as she scratched her hand roughly on a hard surface.

Maybe this was what Damina meant by 'you have to set your mind on where you want to go.'

Oh come on, she yelled.

You should have told me it was more than that, she hissed angrily and tried setting her mind but came in contact with a sharp stone, quickly she set her mind on Abel and fainted.

"Jeiel, why are you not eating? Abel asked after watching Jeiel for quite some time.

She noticed he would stare into space, as if waiting for someone.

"You loved this place right? Do you always love grazing here?" She asked soothingly and walked to him.

He looked really troubled but won't spill.

"Are you thinking about it? Abel asked, kneeling in front of it staring at his cute horse face.

Jeiel had told her how he was transformed into a horse after succeeding in killing the evil king of the wizards kingdom, his little daughter transformed him into a horse.

And this was the exact place the war was held. Until then he would always prefer grazing here even when the grass was dying.

Maybe one day some miracle would happen, that was what they both hoped for.

Jeiel sniffed and jerked, his ears alerted of his surroundings. He started moving about making muffled sounds, this got Abel aroused to compassion.

Something was definitely not right.

"Jeiel... are you okay? she asked moving slowly to it and suddenly Jeiel ran off.

"Jeiel.... she shouted.

Something was definitely off and she needs to make it right, Jeiel is troubled.she could sense it.

Immediately she ran after him and saw it stopped, staring at a particular place.

She got to it and Jeiel stared at her and then her. She followed his eyes and saw her.

They stared silently at the female lying helpless on the grass. With her clothes torn and her hair scattered, they couldn't think far from a bush baby.

She stirred slowly and then her eyes snapped open.

Abel stared at her lovely eyes, she's so beautiful. Why are her ears so long? is she an elf? she thought and stared down at the strange lady who was now fully awake.

"Who are you and what planet are you from? Abel asked, threatening a sword at her.

Special shut her a stare and smiled inwardly, helping herself up.

It was so easy and she did it.

Yessss!, she screamed elatedly

"Hey...take a chill pill. I asked you a question. Who are you? she yelled.

"Calm down woman, I am not on your property,am I? She said calmly and fluttered her eyes at the horse.

"Yeah, fine. I suppose you need it the hard way, she said ready for a fight.

She strikes and with a wave of her hand she finds herself rolling on the grass, she gritted her teeth and stood up.

"How did you do that? Abel asked and aimed her sword at her chest and she swept her off again.

This time around she was sure.

"You use magic? Are you from the wizard kingdom? she asked, stepping back a little.

Jeiel who was lost staring at the beauty before him suddenly grew scared. What if she was the same princess that had casted a spell on him.

"Oh God, come to my rescue, '' he said as his feets were already too feeble to stand on their own and slowly he slumped to the floor.

"Jeiel!!! Abel screamed and ran to it.

"Jeiel.., Jeiel..., '' she called, slapping his cheeks continuously.

"Don't do this to me..... you have to open your eyes..please... Jeiel just open your eyes, that's all you have to do just..

"He's not dead. special said, walking up to her.

Abel stared at her blearily. "He's all I got in this world, he can't just die... no," she sobbed and clutched him tight.

"If he's not dead then you must have done something bad to him, '' she said dangerously.

"No! I didn't. He's just paranoid,he will wake up, trust me," she said almost at once.

"Are you sure? she asked pathetically and sniffed continuously.

Special stood looking sullenly at Abel who was crying real hard.

She squatted to her level and patted her back soothingly, she couldn't think of better words to say. She got a job to do and not to pet some human girl.

she thought of a plan and giggled when she got one.

Abel heard her giggle and stared at her to know what was amusing.

"Why are you crying over a horse? it's just a horse, you shouldn't be crying over it," Special said and earned a bad stare from Abel.

"Right? she shrugged and continued. Look, I am from a very rich home and my father has a lot of horses. I can give you one if you like, just stop crying okay." She offered, staring at her swollen eyes due to how hard she was crying.

Abel gasped at her, taken aback. She was too overwhelmed about the whole Jeiel accident to even think about her offer.

On a normal day she would have been so happy to receive such an offer but this was no ordinary horse. there's a human soul inside it.

Her Jeiel was inside it.

"Abel.. you're not saying anything, you don't like my offer? Special pressed knowing it was impossible for her to ever accept it but she could still give it a try to know how much she loved him. Okay I will double it for you, she beamed.

Abel stared at her angrily and screamed ferociously. "What makes you think I will ever take your offer huh?

"He's more than a horse and he means so much to me.. so much... she paused and stared out tears. so much that you could ever imagine, she smiled and went further.

"To me he is family, he's the only person that has made me rethink committing suicide, I love him so much, so much....., she broke down in tears and resumed calling his name, listing out reasons why he shouldn't leave her behind.

Special stared at her amused. she's never seen such a caring human, she is like him but nobody cares. How much she badly needed someone like her in her life.

Hmph, she heaved and relaxed her chin on her palm.

"Hey, why don't you sprinkle him some water, '' she suggested and Abel nodded and stood up to leave but something crossed her mind and she stopped.

"Let's go together. you don't look so good, you need a bath, she told her and Special shrugged and left with her.

-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-

Special had taken her bath already and was putting on her clothes. Abel was sitting on a rock close to the river staring admiringly at Special. She couldn't help but gawk at her blemishing skin.

"Why are you heading at me lady? Special asked when they locked eyes.

Immediately she stared away and said afterwards. "I was wondering.. she paused playing with her leather of water.

"Go on, special nudged her and she stopped to stare at her.

"Nevermind. I have gotten my answers already, wanted to ask why your skin is so soft and golden yellow, she chuckled. You must be living life to the fullest. you have maids at your Berks at call. Hmm.. oh how I love that life, she beamed, staring dreamingly at her.

"Oh really? she scoffed. You're such a nutcase, let's get out of here."

Abel stood up from the rock and they started up to the fields. Something in her kept urging her to tell Special about it after all she's a stranger so it could be of no harm to her.

"You know the horse... it's human, Abel revealed and Special coughed.

She needed to act up so she wouldn't notice a thing.

"Are you high on something? How can a horse be human, that's ridiculous, she acted surprised, maintaining a straight face.

"Yeah," she nodded.

They were now close to the field where they had left Jeiel and Abel thought it could be good she told her everything.

"I had met it on the battlefield where my dad was killed by the wizard kingdom. He sat like a loner and stared at me from the corner of his eyes, I walked past him picked out a tree and attempted murder. That was when he spoke to me, she sniffed and looked at her nails.

"What did he say? Special asked interested.

"He asked me to kill him before trying to kill myself and I had ran out of fear, she chuckled. And then I knew i never wanted to die, why would I run away if I ever wanted to die, she sniffed and her sniffs later turned to tears.

Special walked up to her and hugged her.

"Oh c'mon Abel, you're such a cry baby, '' she patted her back.

"How... How do you know my name? Abel asked.

"You..... told me," she stuttered.

"No I didn't. I can't rem.."

"He's awake! your Jeiel is awake. Woah!" she screamed twitchgyly.

"Are you a witch? Abel asked all of a sudden, pointing fingers at her.

"Why am I asking? you're a witch! she shouted with her eyes gleaming danger.

"Am not, '' she said innocently and tried walking away.

"Admit it, you're a witch.she shouted grabbing her hand in the process.

"You swept me away with some mighty force I couldn't withstand and then the scar, '' she said with her eyes popping out, not letting go of her hand.

"The scar?"

"Yes. right there on your arm..."

Special checked her arm and it was there. she was so surprised, how come she never knew about it.

She stared at Abel then at the arm to be sure she wasn't imagining things. she should have noticed right?

Heavens! it was on her right arm and it seemed to be bare.

She swallowed and stared at Abel confused.

"What's wrong with me having a scar?"

"Alot is wrong with you having a scar, '' she snarled. especially having that x symbol.

"I don't... What do you mean? Special raised questioning brows at her.

You having that scar only means one thing.. it means you're a witch.., she stopped and shot her a glare.

"You're a witch but how come you have elf's ears?"

"Just get away from us, '' she snarled, pulling out her sword, her voice filled with coldness and venom.

Special gave out a nonchalant look and with a weird smile she walked out of her and went to Jeiel who was now conscious.

"Jeiel. She tried to touch him but he moved backward.

"I am Special from the underworld and am here to give that which you yearn for, '' she whispered grinning widely at him.

"Now I want you to be good to me because I am your saviour and am here to help you, okay, '' she fluttered her eyes at him.

She closed her eyes and focused her mind on Jeiel. She watched the tiny memories of Jeiel and clicked past them like her gallery.

Roaming through his head she saw an image of Jeiel and a girl so in love. it caught her attention and she paused to view it and immediately her vision got blurred.

What's happening?

She panicked and shot her eyes open only to find out Jeiel was gone.

"Arghhhhh!!

Why does he always get on her nerves?

That Abel girl is just so frustrating, she clenched her fist and screamed.

Chapter 3 A witch in Medusa!

Open the gates!!

Abel yelled and the gate flared open. Immediately she rushed in with the horse running straight to the courtroom.

"I'm on it Anna, trust me I will bring our son back home, please." King Herman begged his wife who was crying herself to death.

"That's what you always say," she sniffs. why can't you do something already... give me hope Herman.. a body will do at least.." she shouted, smashing anything she could lay her hands on.

"My love.." the king said walking up to her

"please stop all these you are doing, it's only going to make it worst.." he tried holding her hand

"Don't!" she snapped and pointed a broken vessel at him.."don't you dare ask me to stop," she whispered and gripped his cloth

"My queen calmed down.." king Herman said soothingly to her, cooling her with his eyes, I will bring back your son okay, he cooled and slowly brought out a syringe from his garment and injected her with it.

He watched her blinking slowly and finally succumbed to sleep.

A guard knocked at the door, getting no reply as he walked inside.

"Yes Draco.. what do you want?" he asked casually, putting his queen on the bed to rest.

"Some lady is here to see you," Draco said.

"Tell me about it,'' he said calmly, watching the queen while she slept.

"My lord... I'm afraid we have bad news," he said twitchingly and bowed his head.

The king was silent for a while staring at Draco whose head was bent in obeisance.

"Take me to her..."

"Are you sure of what you're telling me," king Herman asked, as he was sitting on his large throne, resting his arms on the wide chair. On his right was his chief guard, Draco. Hands folded backwards, head up high and a sword resting on his waist at his left.

Abel gulped hard seeing how strong their faces were, but she shook it off, she was there for a more serious issue.

"I swear on my parents grave, I've never been so serious my king," she rushed.

"She was about to cast a spell on my horse friend but we managed to escape," she said, wiping bees of sweat off her forehead.

She was kneeling down with her head bowed while explaining her ordeal to the king.

King Herman sat on his chair sullenly not moving his gaze from her troubled face.

"Bring in the horse and give me proof of his talking abilities,'' He ordered no one in particular but Draco left anyways and returned afterwards with the horse.

Abel walked to it curly his hair. She spoke hushly to it and rubbed her face with his.

"He's ready, my king,'' she said.

"What happened to you?" king Herman asked, looking at the troubled horse.

Father.. It's me, your son.

Jeiel almost voiced out but instead he said "I was among the warriors that fought the last battle, I was transformed into a horse just when I was celebrating victory."

King Herman looked at him cannily, he knew at the depth of his heart that it had something connected to his missing son.

"Victory you say," he leaned from his chair and settled his eyes on him.

"We never celebrated victory, son," he muttered.

"We did," Jeiel pressed, not knowing he was about to spill out the whole truth he's been hiding for long. As if talking to itself, he moved forward and jerked, King Herman sat finding it all amusing seeing his son in a horse body.

"I did, I celebrated victory when I had the wizards king's head on my hands, or you didn't see me?" Jeiel asked.

"But you were missing and we couldn't celebrate without you son,'' King Herman said pathetically.

"Dad, I'm so sorry I hid it from you all this time, forgive me,'' the horse said and sat on the floor. "I just couldn't have everyone referring to me as a horse prince."

"it's okay son, your mom will be so happy to meet you."

A guard rushed in and fell on his knees breathing really hard.

"My king, there's a breach on the walls, someone's trying to break inside, '' the guard said with every breath of his.

"Is that why you had to break in like that, ain't you supposed to alert the warriors before me and who is this person, King Herman barked.

"My king the warriors are doing all they could but the assassin's a pro...

"Assassin? How can one man defeat three thousand warriors? Is that even possible." King Herman furrowed his brow letting his words sink in.

"My king, a lady is killing the warriors, she's a witch,'' Draco, who had left to check earlier, reveals.

The king stood up from his chair and folded his fist. Who must that be? A witch invading his palace, killing his warriors? He thought back to what the prophets told him "Your son will appear before you in a different way and then blood, do not struggle nor fight with it for it has come to release it" .

"My king, Draco called, Should we request the training warriors?"

"No Draco. That would be more blood." He walked to Jeiel and rubbed his back. "Take them to the safe room,'' he said walking to his Chambers.

A guard brought his robe which he flung on walking briskly to the underground. A pile of soldiers were behind him and their heads were leading the way.

Abel could see through the tiny hole in the safe room what the witch was doing. She panicked when she saw her divide a body with just a snap of her fingers.

She's so evil.

She ran back to Jeiel who was shaking with fright folding him into her arms.

Jeiel was a strong warrior not just strong but a determined lead warrior of the seven council's, he was brutal in wars and always ended up victorious but what was he now.

Oh the horse's body was making him really weak and scared.
