Hazel Queen had loved her husband with all her heart for three years. But the one thing she never saw coming was the cold, shocking truth: he wanted a divorce because his mistress was pregnant. Heartbroken and betrayed, Hazel decides to move on and returns to Queen Corp, where she steps into her true role as the powerful female president, worth hundreds of millions. This revelation shocks her ex-husband, Damon Price, who never knew that the woman he left behind was the mastermind behind the famous Queen Corp-the Heiress of the Queen family, who had supposedly died in a fire three years ago.

Chapter 1 Divorce

Afternoon, Civil Affairs Bureau.

A stunning woman in a high-slit red dress walked in. Her makeup was minimal, and her hair was styled in a low bun, leaving her elegant neck exposed. As she walked, her ankle flashed occasionally, teasingly.

Hazel Queen's sultry allure caught Damon Price by surprise. This was a far cry from the plain, simple Hazel he remembered.

Hazel didn't even glance at him as she walked straight to the counter.

The staff member looked around nervously. "Are you two sure about this? Once you sign, and the stamp is on, it's over."

Hazel flashed a smile. "Do you really want to hold on to something you don't even want? It's trash."

Damon's eyes, cold as ice, fixed on her. As if he could burn a hole right through her.

She just called him trash?

But Hazel paid him no mind. Her hand signed the papers without a second thought, her signature flowing, neat, and beautiful. To Damon, it felt like a thorn in his chest, sinking deep.

He hadn't expected her to agree so easily. Ha! Guess she really did marry him for the money after all.

The staff member shot Damon a pointed look.

With the certificate in hand, their three-year marriage was officially over.

What Hazel didn't expect was that Damon had brought Delilah Hasani-his mistress, who had been the one to throw Hazel out of the Price mansion just yesterday.

But here, Delilah looked every bit the fragile, innocent woman. When she saw Hazel, her eyes widened with fear, as if the woman who had kicked her out the day before was someone else entirely.

"Hazel, I'm so sorry. If it wasn't for me, Damon wouldn't have pushed for the divorce. I'm really sorry..."

She put on a teary-eyed performance, crying as though she were the victim.

Hazel rolled her eyes, clearly irritated. "Cut it out. Mr. Price is really generous. He gave me a seaside villa, five shops on X Road, and ten million in cash. If I didn't sign, it would just make me look petty."

"Hazel, I know you said that to reassure me. Please forgive me. I'll do anything for you!" Delilah pleaded, her voice sweet, but her eyes full of bitterness, knowing Hazel had walked away with a huge payout.

Hazel smirked. "Alright, then go die."

"What? Hazel..." Delilah gasped, her voice quivering.

"What? Didn't you just say you'd do anything for me? If you really mean it, slap yourself twice. I'm fine with that!" Hazel scoffed, raising her hand as if she might strike Delilah herself.

"Hazel!" A furious voice interrupted the tension.

Damon, playing the knight in shining armor, stepped in front of Delilah, glaring at Hazel.

Hazel was stunned. What was going on? What had she done to make them treat her like she was poison?

"You can hate me all you want, but Delilah's pregnant. If anything happens to her, you'll be responsible!" Damon snapped, his voice filled with barely contained rage.

Hazel crossed her arms, standing her ground. "Am I her mother? Why would I take responsibility for her? Let's be clear-she's just your mistress. And you? You're nothing but a dog who's eaten shit. No matter how clean I get, I wouldn't want someone like her."

"Hazel!" Damon growled, his fists clenched.

But she gritted her teeth, holding back, biding her time for the day when she'd sit in the position of Mrs. Price, finally taking down Hazel.

"Damon, don't be like this. Hazel didn't mean it. It's all my fault for making her angry!" Delilah tugged at his sleeve, playing the role of the fragile woman flawlessly.

Hazel gave her a dismissive glance, adjusted the strap on her purse, and began to walk away. As she passed Damon, she paused for a moment, leaned in close to his ear, and whispered, "By the way, you might want to get a checkup. With all those pretty things outside, who knows if they're clean."

Damon's face turned an ugly shade of red with rage as he watched her walk away, his eyes burning holes into her back

This woman-when had she become like this?

As Hazel stepped outside, the sun hung low in the sky, and the clock ticked past 3 PM.

"Damon Price," she muttered under her breath, a smirk tugging at the corner of her lips. The echo of his voice from their past still rang clearly in her mind: "It's been three years. I'm tired of even wearing a pair of shoes. Hazel, you'd better be smart about this, or we won't end up in a happy situation. It won't be good for anyone, okay?"

Three years. She had given everything-her heart, her soul-to a man who had never truly loved her. It had all started when she saved the old man of the Price family in a chance encounter. Out of gratitude, and trusting her, he had arranged for his grandson, Damon Price, to marry her.

She had never questioned the marriage, believing that love would come in time. But three years later, the love she had given had withered, unreciprocated. All that remained was the fading memory of someone who had never returned her feelings. She had loved him completely, and now, standing on the edge of divorce, she realized she had loved nothing but an illusion.

That evening, the storm hit. A bombshell exploded across Vernon's trending news.

[Breaking: Price Family's Eldest Son Caught with STDs, Ex-Wife Furious-Three-Year Marriage Finally Ends!]

"Wait, is this for real? My idol's fallen from grace!"

"Sympathy for the ex-wife, a hundred times over. Ladies, be careful who you choose!"

"OMG, when did he get married? And when did they divorce? I'll pay a thousand for someone to tell me what happened!"

Chapter 2 The Heiress

At Price Corp.

Damon stared at the trending topics, his temples throbbing with anger as the notifications kept coming in.

With a loud crash, he smashed his tablet to pieces.

His eyes were blazing with fury, his expression terrifying. "Get Hazel here, now!"

How dare she spread rumors about him online? Who did she think she was?

Hours later, a report came in: "Mr. Price, Miss Queen... she's disappeared!"

Meanwhile...

In a flashy sports car, Hazel pulled off her sunglasses and mask, her body sinking into the leather seat with a deep sigh. "I'm free!"

"Yeah! Congratulations, boss! You finally came to your senses and turned things around. And that humorless Damon Price-always walking around with that poker face, looking like everyone owes him money. Seriously, does anything about him even match up to you?"

It was rare for Eddie to get the chance to roast Damon, and he wasted no time, his words coming out in rapid fire. "Now that you've split, you can start fresh, boss. Take us with you, we're ready to roll! These years have been a real strain on me, but don't let me down now!"

As Eddie rambled on, Hazel leaned lazily against the car window, resting her hand on her temple. Her eyes, gazing out the window, were filled with complex emotions.

Three years ago, her best friend Eddie nearly clung to her like a baby, begging her not to marry Damon. But she stubbornly refused to see reason.

Now, having escaped that fire pit, she was a whole new person!

"By the way, boss, the sooner the better. I've got a big deal lined up. Want to dive in?" Eddie couldn't contain her excitement.

Hazel rubbed her forehead, not too eager. "Let's take it easy for a moment. I promised my parents I wouldn't go back to the industry. Also, how's that thing I asked you to look into?"

Three years ago, her family had been consumed in a fire, with her parents perishing in the flames. Only she had miraculously survived.

She'd concealed her identity and married into the Price family to investigate the truth behind that tragedy.

Eddie snapped his fingers theatrically. "Tomorrow at 8 AM, Queen Corp's board meeting will be held. I've sent the other details to your email!"

Hazel's lips curved into a sly smile as her fingers gently tapped the armrest. "Such an important event? I think we need to give them a little surprise..."

...

Next day, At Queen Corp.

"Mr. Jonah, congratulations! We'll all be looking to you for guidance at Queen Corp from now on!"

Amid the flattery of other shareholders, Jonah Queen laughed with exaggerated enthusiasm, shaking hands with everyone. "Oh, please! The chairman's position is still up for grabs. It's too early to celebrate!"

"Tsk! Who doesn't know how much you've done for Queen Corp these years? If the chairmanship isn't yours, who else could possibly take it?"

The former chairman of Queen Corp, Jonah's brother, Jacob Queen, had died in the fire three years ago, along with his wife.

An emergency meeting had been held, and the shareholders had voted to make Jonah the acting chairman. After three years, if no suitable candidate was found, he would formally take over the chairman role.

The voting went as expected, with the majority supporting Jonah. The crowd applauded.

Then, the host of the meeting announced, "Based on everyone's vote, the next chairman of Queen Corp will be Jonah. Are there any objections?"

"Objection!"

The door to the meeting room suddenly slammed open, and a pair of high-heeled shoes clicked across the floor.

A woman entered, dressed in a sleek black suit and wide-leg pants, exuding both power and allure.

Jonah's mouth went dry, his body trembling as he stared. "H-Hazel Queen?"

Hazel took off her sunglasses and flashed a bright smile. "It's me, Uncle Jonah. Long time no see!"

Jonah stammered, "W-weren't you... didn't you die in the fire?"

"Oh, I'm just lucky, I guess," Hazel said casually. "Maybe the heavens kept me alive to find the real killer. Uncle, have you... seen them in your dreams?"

Her voice was eerily calm, but her words held a cold edge.

Jonah froze, as if someone had just slit his throat. He quickly tried to regain control, feigning concern. "Hazel, I didn't take good care of you. It's my fault. Don't worry, I'll definitely look into what happened to your parents. But right now, we're in an important meeting. Why don't you head home, and after it's over, I'll come to find you?"

He had waited for this day for so long-there was no way he was going to let this troublemaker ruin everything now.

Hazel patted his shoulder nonchalantly. "But Uncle, I'm here to attend the shareholders' meeting too!"

"What?"

Without missing a beat, Hazel brushed past Jonah, positioned herself at the front, and pressed her hands down on the edge of the table. "Let me introduce myself. I'm Hazel Queen, the only daughter of Jacob Queen, the former chairman of Queen Corp. From today on, I'll be taking over as chairman."

At her words, chaos erupted in the room.

Jonah's face twisted with rage. "Hazel, get back here! This is not the place for your nonsense!"

"But Uncle, you'll know if I'm really making trouble after you see this!" Hazel flipped open a folder and held up a document for everyone to see. "This is my father's will, and according to it, he left me 20% of Queen Corp's shares. The CEO position is also mine to take. This document is official, signed by a lawyer. Anyone who has doubts can take it to the notary office for verification!"

The appearance of a female CEO in Queen Corp had truly stunned everyone.

With 20% of the shares, she was already in a strong position to claim the chairmanship.

Jonah was left speechless, his mouth opening and closing, but no words came out.

No wonder he couldn't figure out where his older brother's shares had gone these years. It turns out they had been hidden here.

How outrageous. Not a single penny was left to him, the younger brother.

Queen Corp was about to change hands, and it was a woman who would control it? All his hard work could go down the drain now?

No way. He wasn't going to let this girl have her way.

Chapter 3 Mess With Him

At that moment, Delilah had taken on the role of the female head of the Price household.

All the servants were scrambling to please her.

"Mr. Price, we've searched every possible place that Miss Queen could be, but there's no sign of her!"

Hearing his subordinate's report, Damon's brows furrowed in a cold scowl. His grip on the coffee cup tightened.

'That damn woman! She's good at hiding; even I can't find her.'

"By the way, we just received a package from Miss Queen. It's something for you!" The subordinate nervously handed over an envelope.

Inside was a bank card, along with a note.

[Ten million, for the trouble you've had fulfilling my needs over the past three years. Honestly, considering your skills, I really overpaid you!]

Crack!

The bank card snapped in half in his palm, and a storm brewed in his eyes.

"Find her. Turn Vernon upside down if you have to. Get her here!"

His subordinate immediately took the order.

Before marrying him, he had thoroughly investigated her background.

She had been adopted by foster parents in a poor rural area, with no support to speak of. He couldn't understand how she had become so fixated on his family, let alone how she managed to charm his grandfather into making her his granddaughter-in-law.

Because of all this, Damon hated her even more.

For the past three years, she hadn't worked, socialized, or even left the house. He hadn't even transferred the compensation money he promised her, so where had this ten million come from?

Damon narrowed his eyes.

His ex-wife was truly a mystery!

His assistant Kin, holding a tablet, stepped forward to report, "Mr. Price, I've just received news that the chairman election at Queen Corp has concluded. The new chairman is... the eldest daughter of the Queen family!"

Damon raised his eyes in surprise.

It was said that the former chairman of Queen Corp and his family died in a fire three years ago. Now, out of nowhere, the eldest daughter of the Queen family appeared, and she had even managed to outplay the most capable candidate, Jonah, to become the new chairman. It was clear that this woman had some skills.

Queen Corp had always been a potential partner for Price Corp, but with the change in leadership, things had gotten more interesting.

"Prepare the car. We're going to Queen Corp!"

He was eager to see how this drama unfolded.

A sleek black Rolls-Royce glided toward the parking lot in front of Queen Corp, just as a white Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon approached from the opposite direction.

The two cars passed by each other.

"Boss, you were pretty cool just now, huh? I think I'm falling more for you every day!" Eddie exclaimed with a lovestruck expression, almost about to plant a kiss.

In order to watch the drama unfold, he had put on a mask and sneaked into Queen Corp with Hazel, and thankfully, no one had recognized him.

Hazel lazily leaned against the car door, her eyes flashing as she glanced at him. "Aren't you supposed to be gay? When did you turn straight?"

"Dammit, let's not talk about it. We're still friends, right? Can we still be happy together?" Eddie replied, his face flushed with embarrassment.

Seeing Eddie nearly jump out of his skin, Hazel's mood, which had been dark for the past few days, lightened a little.

"Boss, not good, we might have been followed!" Eddie suddenly yelled.

Hazel glanced through the rearview mirror and narrowed her eyes. That limited-edition Rolls-Royce-only one person in Vernon owned one.

"It's Damon. Lose him!"

Eddie's confidence surged. "Got it!"

With one press of the accelerator, the car shot forward like lightning.

But Damon's driver was no amateur. With skilled driving, he closed the gap in just a few minutes.

"Damn, I can't keep up, Boss! The driver in the back is way too good!" Eddie slammed the steering wheel, cursing in embarrassment.

Hazel shot him an eye-roll. "A man shouldn't say 'I can't do it.' Pull over, switch positions!"

The two quickly swapped places. Hazel lowered her sunglasses and slammed the gas pedal. The car shot forward like an arrow, cutting through the wind at breakneck speed.

On the wide road, amidst the crowded traffic, the white G-Wagon weaved through the cars effortlessly, breezing through red lights and narrowly avoiding rear-end collisions. As they entered the ring road, it felt like they had activated some kind of cheat code, speeding down the highway at an insane pace.

"Ahh! Boss, slow down, I'm gonna die!" Eddie screamed.

"Don't worry, I'll make sure you get a proper funeral!" Hazel responded calmly.

Eddie almost choked on his own blood from the shock, barely surviving the scare, though he almost died from the frustration.

The car in pursuit stayed right on their tail, refusing to give up.

Assistant Kin looked strained. "Mr. Price, from my judgment, the driver of the car ahead seems to be a professional racer. You might have the wrong person. Do we continue chasing?"

At the moment they passed the car, Damon caught a glimpse of a familiar profile.

He and Hazel had been married for three years, so he should be able to recognize her.

"Chase her!"

His command was short, sharp, and decisive.

Hazel wasn't familiar with the road conditions in this area, and seeing that there was no way to escape ahead, she shouted, "Hold on tight!"

Before Eddie could react, everything spun around. A loud screech echoed through the air.

The car executed a 180-degree drift.

The car behind followed closely, blocking their path.

The two cars faced each other, both flashing their hazards. The engines roared like beasts about to fight for dominance in the wild.

Through the windshield, no one could clearly see each other's face, but the tension and provocation between them were palpable.

The battle was on the verge of breaking out.

Eddie swallowed hard. "Boss, if that bastard Damon finds out you're the one messing with him, it'll be a big problem."

Hazel smiled, her lips curling. "That's exactly what I want-to mess with him!"

In the next moment, she shifted gears and slammed the gas pedal.

The two cars collided head-on, forcing the other to slide backward a few meters before Hazel pushed forward and sped away.

She rolled down the window, extending her hand to provocatively wave at them.

No one expected such a bold move, and even Kin was stunned.

Looking at the man in the back seat, his face was dark with anger, and his eyes stormed with barely contained fury.

"Within one hour, find this person and bring them to me!" he ordered.

He was determined to see who had the guts to toy with Damon Price.

Meanwhile...

Eddie had gotten out of the car, clutching a tree and vomiting violently. Between his retching, he managed to give Hazel a thumbs-up. "Boss, you're incredible! You still dare to mess with Damon Price? I'll die happy if I never have to witness a scene like this again."

Hazel slowly tied her hair into a high ponytail, the upward tilt of her eyes adding a seductive charm to her expression. "It was just a warm-up. Nothing to brag about. By the way, get me a few people."

"Get people for what?"

"To do something big."
