Sold To A Stranger

The car indicator came on pointing to the right. It slowed down and then turned towards the parking area. He was smartly dressed and looking hot with a shaved beard. He looked far older than his age and the most eye-catching features were his shining dazzling eye and his low haircut. Walking majestically from his car, he entered the cottage. Lucy's stepmom greeted him warmly and asked Lucy to bring him a glass of water. He rejected it and told Lucy's stepmom he had already drunk coffee on his way. Lucy went inside wondering why the stranger was there.

She stood closer to the door to listen to what they were about to say. The stepmom started the conversation, she told the man(Master Elliot) about Lucy. She couldn't hear what they were saying again because they had gone deep into the conversation. Later, she got to know from her stepmom that she had arranged for her to go and stay with him forever. Lucy was shocked because she did not know the man and sad that she was leaving her dad. The next day, a posh car came for her to the mysterious place. She got into the car and they headed north to the place. A few hours later, the car stopped by a huge mansion with an electronic gate. They entered and she was welcomed by the warm and nice environment. The driver opened the door for her and she got down. She saw the man who came there yesterday. He escorted her to her room and told her she would be working as the new maid since the other one was sick. Lucy was given a new set of uniforms to put on to start work tomorrow. Early the next day, she woke up early and started cleaning around and cutting the edges of the grass. She prepared coffee for the master and later in the day was introduced to the rest of the workers. She became friends with the driver and the gatekeeper. She makes sweet and delicious cookies for them. The master(Elliot)began to develop some feelings for her. He loves the coffee she prepares and always asks for more. Lucy became used to certain things as the days went by. She was loved by all the workers

One night, Lucy was sending the master's evening meal. When she got there the door was open so she was wondering why it was left like that. She entered and found out that the master was shirtless with only boxers on. She quickly placed the food down apologized and asked to take her leave when the master asked her to wait. She was feeling unusual when he asked her to wait, the master asked her to sit down. She sat down with her head down feeling nervous. He asked her to look at him and don't call him master but his name is Elliot. a she got to know that he was the popular billionaire everyone was talking about in town. He was not married because he was glued to his work and always working nonstop. She asked him why he didn't take a break from work. He told her his fear when he stopped working all that he had worked for would be destroyed by his opponent the Kwartizs She now knows why he always works at night and has less sleep. He finished eating and she stood up to take the dishes when she tripped and fell on his legs. He caught her up and they were left staring at each other. Lucy quickly got up and apologized for that. He told her it was not his fault but his leg caused it. She left immediately to the kitchen to wash the dishes and go to her room. When she left, he was thinking about what just happened and he was thinking about Lucy till he fell asleep. Lucy kept thinking about what happened too and pondered over it till morning. She woke up late because of that and she was late for duties so she rushed to the kitchen to start. The driver came to call her, she was asked to come now by the master. She left quickly only for her to be shouted at by Elliot for not bringing his coffee on time. She tried explaining but he cut her off and sent her away to go and bring it quickly. She was disturbed by the master's sudden change in behavior did the coffee fast and sent it to him. Later in the day, the driver told her the master lost one of his huge contracts so he was sober. She now understands why he acted like that in the morning. An idea came to her to make some sweet cookies and go and comfort him. He was thinking about how to get that contract back when Lucy came inside. He asked her what she was doing in the office. Lucy placed the tray down on his table and told him how sad she felt when she heard about his situation. He was wondering why she would be sad when he even shouted at her in the morning but she was still acting nice to her. He immediately apologized for what he did in the morning. Lucy accepted it and offered him one of the cookies. He ate it and asked for more. He started telling her why and everything that had happened and Lucy suggested a way out to get the contract back. He was bumfuzzled at how she came about with a brilliant idea.

The next day, Elliot received an email that the contract had been given to him. He was so happy. He immediately rushed home to share the good news with Lucy. He kept wondering how Lucy came up with that idea. She was brilliant indeed said Elliot,l must enroll her in an accounting school so she came and helped me with business ideas. Lucy was busy in her room reading a book when she heard a knock at the door. She opened it to see Elliot with a smiling face. He asked her if he could come in and she said yes.

He told her about the contract, that he had gotten it back, and thanked her for that idea. He asked her if she went to school because only a graduate would have this idea in mind. She said yes but couldn't further after the dad married his stepmom and she wanted to be an accountant. He told her not to worry because he would enroll her in one of the best schools in Eastwood. Lucy was shocked and she became teary. She immediately knelt down to thank him but he asked her to get up because she deserved it and that was a little reward for helping him get the contract back. He left immediately to his room in high spirits thanks to her. Meanwhile, Lucy was in her room happy that she would be going to school to acquire her dream. She was so happy that day. She went out to look for the driver to give him some of the cookies. Elliot woke up feeling hungry and tired. He went to wash down and came downstairs to eat his meal. Lucy serve him with assorted rice and chunks of meat. He asked for a glass of water and she went to the kitchen to bring one. When she came he asked her to come sit down and also eat. Lucy rejected the offer she claimed she was a maid and must always eat in the kitchen. But he told her he asked her to since he brought her here. Lucy immediately went to the kitchen picked her food up and came to eat at the dining hall with the master. After eating, he told her to come to his room. She washed everything cleaned up and left for the master's room. When she got there he told her which accommodation will she like to go in for. Lucy said she would like to go to school from the house she doesn't want to go and stay the day since no one will look after him. He told her to feel free to choose any because he could get a new maid.

Lucy told him that she wanted to go to school from the house. He agreed to her and gave her a bag with new clothes to put on from now onwards. She thanked him and left the room. She poured everything on her bed to see what was inside. She saw how good it looked on her. A pair of new slippers and shoes was inside too. Tears of joy, she thought she was dreaming but it was real. The next day Lucy wore one of the dresses and combed her hair nicely all back and tied it in a ponytail style. The driver saw her and complimented her. She felt so good and happy. She went to ask the master if he wanted his usual coffee or something else today. When the master saw her he was dumbfounded. He kept wondering if it was Lucy. She saw how the master was looking at her so she tapped him to remind him that she was still there. He immediately acted like something fell on his eyes and asked her to take his handkerchief for him. She took it and he wiped his face with it and asked her to bring him coffee. Lucy was thinking about what just happened whether the dress was revealing or something was wrong with her body.

After she left, Elliot was thinking about what he had just seen. He couldn't believe Lucy was pretty like this. He went out immediately because he couldn't control the kind of thought he was getting about her already. He called his childhood friend Baron. They met at their usual spot to drink expensive wine and chitchat. He explained everything to him. Baron suggests he stay away from the maid for a while to see something. He agreed to that and see if it would work for him. He thanked him and left home.

That night Lucy was wondering where he went because he hadn't taken his usual coffee and not eaten anything either. She went to his room and didn't see him there. After he came back he went straight to his room and pondered over what his childhood friend said. Being lost in his thoughts, he heard a knock at the door, only to open it to see the person he less expected to see now. Lucy was about to open her mouth when he asked her to leave and that he was not hungry. She left for her room and thought of what just happened. He felt guilty for what he had just done because he knew he couldn't avoid her. Lucy woke up still pondering over the issue. She even lost focus and cut herself when she was chopping the vegetables. Elliot was coming to the kitchen when he saw what had just happened to her. He immediately went for the first aid box and dressed the wound. Asked her to be careful the next time. He took a glass of water and left immediately to his room. Lucy saw that he was avoiding her so she kept her distance. She gives the food to the driver to give to him and wash the dishes after. This kept on happening till Elliot saw that he couldn't avoid her because he always stole a glance at her from his window and she looked pretty day in and day out.

Lucy was wandering around the house when she met eye-to-eye with the master. She turned around to take her leave When he ran after her to explain everything to her. But Lucy kept on walking without looking back. He held her hand and she stood to listen to him. He apologized for his recent behavior and asked her to forgive him. She accepted it and left to her room. Later the next day Lucy started schooling at Eastwood Business School. She wakes up earlier than usual does the chores and prepares his coffee before she leaves for school. Elliot asked the driver to drop her off at school. She loves the new environment already. Always at the school library reading and making notes before she gets home. She made a new friend called Essel. Essel is part of the school's basketball team and he is the captain. Essel got close to Lucy when they met one afternoon at the library. Lucy was picking a book from the shelf but it seemed it was high up and she was struggling to reach there. Essel was passing by so he helped her out. They became friends instantly. Essel now comes to the library to wait for her for them to study together. One day, the driver was not feeling well so Elliot decided to pick her up himself. He got to the entrance of the school and saw Lucy with Essel coming out from the library smiling and talking. He got angry immediately stormed out of the car and dragged Lucy to the car. When they got to the car, he let go of her hand and asked her what she was doing with that guy(Essel). She explained that Essel was her coursemate and they went to the library to read and do assignments. He told her, he did not want to see them together again. The drive home was silent nobody uttered a word again. She opened the car and walked quietly to the room. She changed and walked to the kitchen to prepare the evening meal but she kept wondering what was wrong with her standing with Essel or them learning together. She sent the food to the dining room and saw Elliot sitting there quietly staring at her. He told her the reason why he asked her to stay away from Essel."Boys are not good, focus on your education for now".She said okay and left for the kitchen to tidy up and read small before she sleeps. The next day at school she avoided Essel till the next period when he asked her why that behavior. She explained that her education matters now and she needs to be focused. Lucy left him and went to the library to learn for the upcoming test. The driver came today and he brought her some delicious icecream he bought on his way coming.They got home only to see the master lying on the floor. Lucy with the driver immediately took him to the car straight to the hospital. Lucy was sad and praying that nothing bad should happen to Elliot. They got to the hospital and he was rushed to the emergency ward and they started giving him treatment.
