"This is not acceptable!" I shouted inside my father's office. Many of the elders and high ranking wolves gasps in my reaction.

His dark aura is looming inside the room but I don't care! It's my future that we're talking here. He should fight and the pack. We are wolves for Moon sake!

"Adellee, this arrangement was made by our ancestors. I can't say no to them. It's our duty to protect our pack at any cost." Alpha Elliot said.

He is my father, the Alpha of SnowMoon Pack. We are now discussing the contract send by SilverMoon Pack yesterday. This contract is the living proof of our grand ancestors making allies to SilverMoon. They helped us long time ago in a war. The Alphas made a sealed contract binding the third generation to marry each other. Potential mate or not.

"This is my life! How can you force me to mate that blood thirst monster. We know them, they have a very bad reputation specially the leading Alpha now. I will not marry him." I said firmly.

Alpha Kayden is known for his cruelty and prestige. He made them even stronger when he acquired the Alpha title five years ago. They become conqueror and destroy of their enemies packs. He is a living proof of hell on earth.

I don't know why the Moon Goddess let this happened. This is too much for all of us to handle. We, the SnowMoon pack have known for being white fur wolves plus the snow land we have. We are strong pack for a long time now and that is because the SilverMoon pack helped our previous alpha and the continuous alliance since then.

"If you don't do this Adellee, our pack will be shattered. They will kill us all if we break the contract." Elliot said.

"Do you want to see us all dead before you agree with this? We are wolf Adellee! We are leaders of this pack. You are one of the best female warrior and healer here, even you still can't shift. Do you want us all to fight for you? For your life? Is your life more important than our pack?" Alpha Elliot asked.

I almost breakdown when I heard his question. Can I risk their lives exchange to mine? Can I start a war for the sake of my own freedom? My family, the family of our pack members, am I really going to sacrifice them all?

"Maybe try to know him first before you decide. He doesn't even know this contract too. Maybe he is furious like you, they can break the contract Adellee. At least try to talk to him first. I know it's hard, but you can do it." Father said.

I collapse to my chair. I look at everyone's face. They are all looking at me, their eyes are pleading for me to do what is necessary for the pack.

If I can make that Alpha hate me or dislike me, maybe he withdraw the arrangement and break the contract.

That idea gives me strength to agree with this stupid arrangement.

"Okay fine! I'll do this. But I want all of you to know that this is not easy for me. My chance to find my own mate is at risk now. I may never see him or feel him again if I choose to mate with that guy. But for the sake of the pack, I will do this." I said half smiling to everyone. I know I need to be strong and show no weakness to my people. I am the daughter of Alpha Elliot of SnowMoon pack. This is my duty to protect my pack at any cost.

"Thank you Adellee. This is a big sacrifice for you but you made the right decision for the pack." First Beta Martin said. He is as old as my father. Soon, when Dexter is old enough, he will takeover the Alpha position in this pack. Though I am the first born, still I'm a female. My brother deserve the title because he is working so hard for the past years to become the next Alpha.

"I will do all that I can to make this work." I said to all of them. I know it's a lie but I have to make excuses for them not to suspect what will I try to do when I get there.

"Were counting on you Adellee." Dexter, my brother said.

"Father, did he know that I can't shift?" I asked. Maybe I can use that as a reason for his to back out in this stupid contract or what ever arrangement they made.

"Yes, but he still want to continue this since they are known to have a word of honor. Alpha Kayden assures me that he will follow this arrangement." Alpha Elliot said.

I feel weak this time. So he knows that I can't shift! I said to myself. Though I know inside my wolf is still sleeping. I can feel her but she's not awake yet. How long will I need to wait for my wolf? How long? I asked her but still..... she's sleeping.

"Can I go now Father? I'm too exhausted. I need to pack my things right?" I asked.

My father look defeated. I know he doesn't want this but he can't say no and start a war between us and one of the most powerful pack in the world.

"The first beta of SilverMoon will be here tomorrow to pick you and help you with your things." He said.

"So I guess, I really need to pack my things." I said.

"This meeting is over, you can all go home now." Father ordered them. The whole council of the pack leave the room except Dad, Dexter and I.

"Father, are we really doing this to Adellee?" Dexter asked.

"Yes, Dexter." My father sigh. "I don't have a choice. The leaders, Elders and high ranking warriors already decided for this. Me being the Alpha, needed to attend to their concerns. They want to give your sister to the SilverMoon pack, even they cage and send her to Alpha Kayden with ribbons at the top." He said. He is the Alpha but this is majority of the peoples votes. He can't say no.

"I'll be fine Dex, don't worry to much." I said to him, though I don't know what is waiting for me there. A whole life of hell!

"I'm sorry Adellee, I can't do anything about it to." Dexter said. He looks mad and sad at the same time.

"Don't dare to cry Dex! I am your big sister, stop acting like a crazy little brother." I said trying to change the mood.

"I'm not going to cry! Fine, I know you can handle yourself but still be careful out there. The silverMoon is the total opposite of our pack." Dexter says.

I smile and hug my baby brother. I'm sure, I'm gonna miss them a lot. They are my best buddies when my mother died giving birth to Dexter. That's why, I took good care of my baby brother until now. He will be my baby forever.

I sit in my room looking at every corners of it. I live here for eighteen years, and now I'm leaving because I'm a payment for our pack debts.

I still can't accept that this is happening now. The First Beta of SilverMoon might be here in any minute now, but I don't have the strength to pack my things.

I sob while hugging my favorite pillow. It was given to me by my Dad. He said that Mom made it when I was a baby.

I wish you're here Mom.

The door slowly open and my best friend Tyler enter my room. He is the First Beta son and soon to be First Beta of our pack. He is also friend with my brother.

"Hey Piggy, stop crying." He said as he wrapped his arms around me and kissing my forehead. That's what he always do whenever he sees me crying.

"I'm leaving today Ty, and it hurts. It really hurts." I said hugging him. I wish we're mates. We talk about it before but he said that he can't feel any potential bond between us.

Males knows when they found the right she-wolf for them. It's the scent of woman that makes them crazy and turn the motion of the earth for them. While us, women can sense the prestige of a man. That attracts us to them until they court us and we accept them as our mate. Not the typical story that

i read in books that when they turned eighteen they will find their mate easily and fall in love. That's a lie!

"I know Piggy. Dad told me. I told him to fight for you but the safety of our pack comes first." He said.

"That's true. I hate the consequence of their help. It's like binding our life forever." I said slightly pulling away from his hug.

"Then run, you can run from this and live your own life." He suggested.

"No! I'm not going to do that. I love this pack, I'm sure that Alpha Kayden will kill all of you if I runaway." I said picking my bag to start packing.

My heart broke apart over and over again as I put my clothes one by one in my bag. I had never been away for too long to my family. Actually, I haven't gone out of SnowMoon pack since birth. I was born with Moon Goddess blessings. I am a healer, a powerful one as the other says.

"I will call you everyday when you got there. Promise me to answer my texts and calls." He said.

"You know I will Ty. I will miss you and our endless movie marathon everyday." I said smiling to him. He really have a huge part in my heart.

"I will wait for your reply then." He answered.

A knock on the door stop me from putting my pants inside the bag. Tyler open the door and I see Amanda, one of our servant.

"Lady Adellee, Alpha Elliot send me here to inform you that the First Beta of SilverMoon pack has already arrived, and he expecting you to be ready by now." Amanda informed me.

"Okay Amanda, just tell Dad that I'll be there in a minutes." I said. Putting the last clothes I need to bring. I also pack my tools in healing. I am a healer of this pack, though we also have two more healer here.

"Yes Lady Adellee." She said before closing the door by herself.

That First Beta is surely punctual. He's on time. I turn to look at Ty. "Hey big guy, stop pitying me and start to help me with my bags." I said while throwing him one of my bag.

"Your leaving me here then you want me to help you? No! You can help yourself." Tyler said but he grabbed my bags and lead the way to my father's office. A scent of Pine with honey hit me when we enter his office.

Dexter is there with my father, First Beta Martin and Third in command Arthur. I saw the First Beta of SilverMoon but he's back on me. I can feel his power and prestige. I can't help but feel to little when he stand up and turn to look at me.

"Adellee, this is First Beta Jaxson of SilverMoon pack." Father introduced First Beta Jaxson to me.

This First Beta is a good looking guy. Tall and handsome, but something tells me that he is dangerous. He look at me and bow a little.

Wow! Very noble of him. I said to myself.

SilverMoon pack is the total opposite of my pack. There is no snow there. It is surrounded by forest and mountains. Base on the map our ancestors provided, SilverMoon is twice the size of our pack now.

"Nice meeting you First Beta Jaxson." I said but didn't bow to him. I am an Alpha daughter. I bow only to my father and other Alphas.

"The pleasure is mine Lady Adellee." He said.

"Alpha Elliot, I think we need to leave now. Alpha Kayden is waiting for our arrival this evening and I think Lady Adellee is ready to go." He said to my father.

Father look at me with some sadness in his eyes. He walk to me and hug me for the last time. Dexter look at me, silently standing near the window of our Dad's office. He simply smile at me, but I know he doesn't want me to go.

Jaxson carries my bags and I follow him outside. There are three cars waiting for us. He put my things inside and tell me to go in.

I follow him and give one final look to my Dad and baby brother before I went inside the car. Everyone is looking at me, like they are happy that I made the right decision. Weird people.

The ride inside the car is silent. The First Beta didn't bother to talk to me and he is just reading some paper works.

I look around inside the Limo and decided to take one of the books in his side. But before I can get it, the suddenly speed of the care makes me fall in his lap. Oh gracious!

I look at him at the same time he look at me. Face to face, he's not showing any emotion. I feel embarrassed as I got up.

"Glen what happened?!" Jaxson shouted to the driver.

"I'm sorry First Beta Jaxson, I accidentally hit the gas than the break." Glen said.

"Next time watch out and be careful." He said.

"I-I'm sorry about the----"

"It's nothing." He said before he throw me the book that I want to read.

"Thank you." I said. Blushing.

Sh*t! That's so embarrassing. I almost touched his grrrrr! So embarrassing.

I look away and started to read the book until I fall asleep.

I woke up feeling hot while lying down inside the car. Maybe we are now at SilverMoon territory. The climate here is the total opposite Snowmoon pack.

My pack! I remember again that I am not part of SnowMoon anymore. I am now SilverMoon pack member.

"Finally you're awake. We're now here at the heart of SilverMoon Pack." Jaxson said while opening the door of the car.

I look around to see a Castle? It's a huge three story building and it really looks like a castle to me. I go out of the car and observe the surroundings. There are a lot of trees in the surrounding which makes me smile. It's beautiful.

Don't get me wrong, I love Snowmoon but it's nice to see some green sceneries. Snowmoon is a place where you always see a snow. I love it because it's my hometown but I also want to see what trees looks like when summer time. How different flowers blooms in the field and how the heat of the sun touches my body. I hope they got river nearby and someone can tour me around.

"Follow me Lady Adellee." Jaxson said.

"You can call me Adellee, Beta Jaxson."

"It's not appropriate to call the future Luna by her first name and without formality. There's a culture here that you need to learn." He answered.

Gush where am I? 1800? This Jaxson is weird. I said to myself.

I follow him inside the pack house and my first thought in this place is that I enter into a new world. Where Kings and Queens are living. The ceiling is too high with chandelier dangling above us. The floor is covered with red carpet. The furniture was made in finest wood of a tree.

"This place look likely a palace." I said.

"It's indeed a palace, Lady Adellee." Jaxson said.

"Hmm? How come you have palace here? This is a huge place. Are your pack members living in here?" I asked, still following him on where he will bring me.

"Well... for new member like you, this house is for the Alpha and Betas family and some high ranking wolves like Third in command or the gamma. The others are residing around the castle. You will see them later, if Alpha Kayden permitted." Jaxson said.

He stop and open the door and told me to go inside.

"This is your room for today Lady Adellee. Alpha Kayden will decide later where will you be staying for good." He said, putting all my bags inside the room before excusing himself to leave.

My room is as big as my room in SnowMoon. But this one is painted with mint green and the tiles are color brown. I lay myself in the comfy bed until I fell asleep.

"What the hell?!" I shouted.

Someone is in my room, putting my clothes inside the cabinet.

"Did I wake you?" The girl said while glaring at me.

"What are you doing inside my room?" I ignore her question which I think she knows why.

"Isn't it obvious?" She said while raising one of her eyebrows.

I clenched my teeth at her attitude. I don't know who she is, but I got this feeling that she hated me.

"Well it is. But, what are you doing in my room? You can knock you know?" I said sitting in my bed and now fully awake. I think I sleep too long.

"First Beta Jaxson told me to attend your room and fix your things. Since I knock three times but no one answering. I open the door and do as I was told to do." She said, explaining herself.

"Okay." I said.

I look at her carefully. She's beautiful in her own way but she's in maid's uniform like what I saw earlier when Jaxson and I arrived.

"Why are you staring at me? Don't you know that it's rude?" She said glaring at me again.

"You know miss-I-Dont-Know-Who-You-are, I don't know what seems the problem here but your attitude towards me distract me. If you don't like what you're doing, just leave." I said truthfully. She keeps glaring at me, so I think there's a problem that I don't know.

"My name is Loui and I am Alpha Kayden personal servant before, but now, they assigned me to you." She said after finishing her work.

"If that's the case, I will tell Jaxson to change you and you can go back to your old duties." I said. Standing and fix myself in a full length mirror.

"That's not necessary. They wont let me near him now because of that stupid contract!" She said.

My eyes went wide when realization hit me. She's his girlfriend! This is great!

"You're with him am I right?" I asked.

"Yes! He loves me, but because of that damn contract he needs to marry you." She said.

"Well.... I don't want to marry him. This contract just pushed my father and I to agree with it. We don't have a choice because our ancestors signed the contracts." I informed her.

Her eyes changes. All I can see is a hind of happiness. This girl really like Alpha Kayden.

"So.... you don't like him? I can still continue my relationship with him?" She asked.

"Of course! I will not stop you. Tell him to marry you instead of me. That will makes our life much better." I said.

"Is that true? Or you're just making fun of me and my emotions?" She asked, doubting my words.

"It's true Loui, but I want you to understand that you need to convince him to withdraw the contract." I said.

She smiled very lovely to me. "I'll do what I is needed. I will try to persuade him." She said.

Poor girl! So damn in love with their Alpha... but I can use her, if Kayden really into this girl then we can have an agreement or I can convince him to pursue Loui than marrying me.

After putting my clothes in the closet. Loui excuse herself and leave.

I lay down on my bed. This place is really different than my old pack. I get my phone and texted my father, brother and best friend Tyler. I informed them that I'm already here and I'm fine. I don't want them to worry about me. I put back my phone in my nightstand and lay down on bed again. I need to rest because I feel exhausted in this place and the change of climate is starting to hit me, plus the time zone here is different from Snowmoon.

Wolf? When will you wake up? I'm so lonely here. I said to my wolf, but there's no reply.

I closed my eyes and pray to the Moon Goddess to wake up my wolf soon. I am beginning to worry if my wolf is really there or it's just my illusion.
