Chapter 1 A Gift

It was quite late after a social dinner.

The cigarette held by Samuel Fisher's fingers flickered with orange sparks, and his bright eyes glanced at the faces of people sitting around the table, which looked somewhat ugly in the smoke.

Usually, he would have been willing to cater to these people, but today he was not in the mood.

He crushed out the stub in the ashtray, stood up, and walked out of the room.

Jude Cole secretively stretched his head out of the door and noticed that Samuel was walking towards the restroom. He hurried to the young girl who was standing in the corridor and said, "Angela, Young Master Fisher has gone to the gents' room. You go and wait for him outside. If you can make him invest in my company and help me pass through the current difficulty, my business will then be able to resurrect."

Angela, sweet-tempered though, was now trembling with anger and replied in a cold voice, "Dad, if you want me to serve that man tonight, you have to get ready to pick up his body tomorrow!"

All of a sudden, Jude flew into a rage and slapped Angela in her face.

"Since your mother cuckolded me, eloped with that bastard, and left you behind, I have been raising you on my own for so many years. Now it's time for you to repay me. If not, I will ask people to tear down Sunshine Orphanage!"

With tears welling up in her eyes, Angela clenched her fists tightly and said, "Fine...I will do that to repay your rearing of all these years, but I have to remind you that if anything happens to the orphanage, you'd better prepare yourself a coffin and wait for me to collect your body!"

...

After washing his hands, Samuel walked out of the restroom, and a teenage girl stopped him in the way.

With his brows furrowed, the man lowered his eyes to look at the lady whose complexion was porcelain-white and stunning.

Under the man's gaze, Angela nervously bit her bottom lip. Samuel moved his eyes upon her mouth and kept staring at it unblinkingly.

Angela was hesitating about how to open her mouth when someone coming out of the gents' bumped into her by accident and made her throw herself forward.

"Ouch!"

Samuel stood still, not making a move to help her.

The woman who fell into the man's arms pressed against his chest and apologized, "Sorry...I am sorry."

Her voice was pleasant to hear. Samuel could not help but shoot several more glances at her delicate, smooth face.

Angela looked up at Samuel quietly, who was giving off an extraordinary vibe, and thought, "So, is he the man I am going to serve for the next week?"

The man looked extremely handsome and young, and his age was probably less than thirty.

Angela tightened her hands, took a deep breath, and introduced herself, "Young Master Fisher, my name is Angela Cole, Jude Cole's daughter. I know you are new to Norlan City. Please allow me to keep you company for the following week since I grew up here."

Angela then set her lips in a grim line, the meaning of the words "keep you company" apparent.

Samuel frowned and stared at the fresh young girl, thinking that there was indeed a man called Jude Cole at the banquet.

"Does her father want me to invest in his company?" While thinking, the look in Samuel's eyes grew cold.

The Fisher Group under the man's management was going to make some investment in Norlan City. As for Jude Cole, he did hear that he was a contractor, and one of his programs in this city was cold-shouldered by the market as a murder case had happened during the development of that villa residence.

If Jude could not get funds from investors for publicity, his company would probably have to declare bankruptcy.

Being desperate for money, Jude had been trying hard to seize any chance. Therefore, Samuel's appearance in Norlan City motivated him to provide Samuel with his daughter as a gift.

Staring at Angela, the man realized that she was the present he was given this night.

He snorted lightly and fell into thoughts. In the field of business, it was hardly something new for a desperate player to send his daughter as a gift to his potential benefactors.

However, it was indeed rare to see such a stunning gift.

The man repeated the young girl's name, "Angela Cole?"

Angela hurried to reply in a soft voice, "Yes, Angela Cole it is."

Samuel thought, "The pretty name and her beautiful face perfectly bring out the best in each other."

"Come with me." After glancing at the girl, Samuel walked forward.

Angela bit her lower lip, hesitated for a moment, and then followed the man up in small steps.

Hearing the panicked steps behind him, Samuel curled up his lips into a smile.

Deep in his emotionless, cold eyes, there was a hidden beast that might dash out of its cage at any moment.

Chapter 2 Angela Cole, a Charming Witch

Samuel Fisher stepped out of the restaurant, and a black vehicle pulled up in front of him.

Ronnie Dixon got out of the car and opened the door for him.

Out of habit, Ronnie wanted to shut the door when his master had gotten inside, but Samuel stopped him by pushing his hand outwards.

Ronnie was stunned for a second, quickly retracted his hand, and then stood respectfully by the car door, giving a sidelong glance at the exit of the restaurant.

He saw a young woman coming out, who looked as pretty as a beautiful figure in a painting, refreshing and reserved.

Ronnie withdrew his surprise and waited respectfully for the lady to get into the vehicle.

Angela Cole walked slowly, thinking about the face of Samuel.

In her eyes, that man was surprisingly good-looking and had an extraordinary temperament beyond her expectations.

However, his attractive and somewhat standoffish facial features could not dispel the uneasiness out of her mind.

Angela came to the car door and looked at the man sitting inside, who was looking straight forward and giving off a restrained, cold vibe.

He performed like a king while the young girl was nothing but a maid in his eyes.

It seemed that he had given her options to select, but actually, she had no right to choose at all.

Angela bit her lower lip after a light sigh and then bent to get into the car. Before she could sit firmly, the man suddenly pulled her hard.

Angela lost her balance and crashed into the man's arms as a result.

Bang!

The car door was slammed shut.

With his slender fingers caressing the girl's lips, Samuel revealed a faint smile and then spoke in a mellow, magnetic voice that was tinged with a trace of coldness.

"You've gotten in my auto, and there's no turning back."

There was no emotional fluctuation in his deep-set eyes. Angela found she could not think his thoughts through.

She was only an eighteen-year-old girl who could do nothing but helplessly and frightenedly lower her head in the face of such a matter.

However, in Samuel Fisher's opinion, the panicked expression on the girl's face was simply tempting and inviting.

Samuel let out a chuckle. "It seems that your father is very good at upbringing. You are as beautiful and seductive as a fairy."

Angela shuddered, her lips trembling slightly. Before she could speak, the man kissed her on the mouth.

The girl then closed her eyes, her eyelashes quivering observably.

Samuel laughed out, and the smile was spreading through his lips to the girl's, causing her mouth shiver as well.

"She is so fresh, adorable and delicate." While thinking, the look in the man's eyes deepened.

What a lovely gift!

"She looks like a cute fawn or a smart fox."

...

The car stopped in front of the best hotel in Norlan City.

Holding the soft hand of Angela, Samuel stepped into the gleaming lobby.

The hotel manager rushed over to them. "Young Master Fisher, good evening."

Samuel nodded at the man and walked into the elevator together with the girl.

Angela kept staring at the digit appearing on the screen in the elevator, and it stopped at the highest. The door of the elevator then opened.

After stepping out of the lift, an extravagant scarlet carpet and a long hallway appeared in their eyes.

In contrast to the man's dry, clean hand, Angela's was soaked in a sweat, and a layer of coldness covered her entire body.

The girl walked silently and dared not even cast a glance at the composed man next to her.

Samuel behaved so indifferently as if what was going to happen was nothing for him but a simple meal.

While Angela was still lost in her thoughts, the man led her into a room and then shut the door.

After entering the room, Angela stood motionless in the doorway and hesitated. However, Samuel swiftly took off his tie and then pressed the woman against the door.

In shock, Angela tried to push the man away, but he fiercely lowered his head to cover her lips with his mouth.

Angela widened her eyes open, struggling in panic.

She was unwilling.

She tried hard to delay what was going to happen even though she could not stop it from happening.

However, her struggling was noneffective in front of Samuel, an athletic and sturdy man.

Instead, it stirred up his lust, and this was the first time in twenty-eight years that he was so desperate to occupy a girl.

He deliberately tamped down his desire when they were in the vehicle as he did not want her to take him as a lady-killer without self-control. He preferred to enjoy her in a private environment.

The ultimate allure he felt from the girl motived him to bite her lips recklessly. It was delicious.

Angela was terrified. Seeing that he had no intention to stop, she patted him with both hands at full tilt and did not mind hurting him. However, while she was struggling, their teeth collided.

Feeling annoyed, Samuel grabbed her by the chin.

"You don't want it?" he murmured while pressing his lips against hers.

Chapter 3 Samuel Fisher, a Bastard

With his eyes narrowed, Samuel Fisher asked, "Don't you know why you are here? Has no one told you about what you should do?"

His voice was deep and mellow like aged liquor, but there was a trace of coldness in it.

Thinking about the questions, Angela gradually gave up struggling.

Samuel angrily bit her on the lips and then released her.

Without the support of the man's hands, Angela slid limply along the door down to the floor.

She awkwardly rose to her feet with the help of the door and cowered to one side.

Under the in-door light, the shadow of the man's tall figure completely enveloped her.

Angela found herself nowhere to escape as if she had become his possession.

At this moment, Samuel abruptly turned around to stop looking at the girl, as if her attraction to him had disappeared.

Grasping the part of her coat before her chest and staring at the man's back, Angela moved her lips and wanted to ask him to resume his previous movements.

Samuel took off his suit and walked into the bathroom as if there was no one else in the space, snapping the door shut.

Soon, the sound of streaming water came from the bathroom.

Angela's legs went weak, and she fell to the floor, tears falling in stunned silence.

Jude Cole had been controlling her through the orphanage, her tender spot.

Angela had spent the first six years of her life living at Sunshine Orphanage. The director there, who dedicated herself to her career and therefore chose not to enter into marriage, had been extremely kind to her.

If the orphanage were gone, the director would have nowhere else to go, and those orphans would become homeless.

For the sake of the respected director and the entire orphanage, Angela had no other choice but to compromise.

Staring at the reflected sturdy, muscular figure of the man from the frosted glass, Angela forced her tears back.

She had no room to retreat.

The door to the bathroom was pushed open.

Samuel stepped out.

He was rubbing his short black hair with a towel and only wearing a piece of washcloth around his waist, his exposed body chiseled and muscular.

He was a man loved by God.

He owned not only uncountable wealth but also a perfect face and stunning shape.

He walked over to the bar barefoot and poured himself a glass of wine.

While drinking, he inadvertently noticed that Angela was still in the room.

"Why is she still here?" He raised his brows in surprise.

He put down the glass in his hand. Initially, he thought the girl would have fled after his previous threat.

His noble status decided that there were quite a few women who volunteered to sleep with him. However, he had contained his desires well and never touched those whose intentions were unclear to him.

To him, Angela was an exception, whose innocence and purity aroused his lust.

He drained the wine in the glass, looked at Angela, and once again amazed at the stunning gift Jude Cole gave him, his throat trembling.

He wanted to know if the girl was an adult or not.

Being a proud man, Samuel would never force a woman to do anything even though her beauty was a temptation hard to resist.

The girl before his eyes was too pure to be pushed into the adult game of fame and fortune.

She should just stay quietly in her ivory tower, wait for the day when her prince came to take her out, and then live happily together with him henceforth.

The look in Samuel's eyes grew cold. He hated those childish fairy tales and would never become anyone's prince charming.

"Why are you still here?"
