Chapter 1

1- The gang. . .

Ten miles north of Cameroon. . Five miles from the border and close to it are Africa's greatest diamond mines. . And in the world!

Among the vast desert and thorn bushes, a man stood fidgeting, his arms crossed over his head. . He remained in this condition for about two hours. .

At last he heard the sound of an airplane engine, so he left his place and advanced forward into the open, where he clearly saw the incoming plane. .

Under the moonlight, he rubbed his palms at the dust that filled that desolate place. . Then he went to his motorbike, from which he picked up four lamps. . A small and heavy roll. He held a lamp in his hand, after lighting the remaining three lamps in the corners of a shallow pit, in a semi-accurate geometric system. .

And the helicopter was moving slowly toward him, and about a hundred feet above the ground, making a raucous noise, until it came to a halt at the three lamps lit in the hole, near the man. . Whoever saw a lamp lit up in front of her in a special gesture, the man greeted her and understood her immediately. . He replied with a similar signal from his flashlight. .

Minutes later, the plane's propellers stopped working, and its annoying motor idled, and after a moment, the plane's door opened, and the pilot came out of it and stood next to the engine, until the other man picked up the three lights from the hole and turned them off with his own lamp as well. :

- Welcome . . Is everything okay?

The man said indignantly:

- This is what I hope.

Confused, the pilot said:

- what do you mean?

The man replied angrily:

- You are late again!

The pilot murmured in embarrassment:

- It's simple. . We all have our problems, man. .

Then he said seriously:

- And now. . Do you have diamonds?

The man nodded in the affirmative. The pilot said:

- To me then. . So I go right back.

Immediately the man put his hand in his jacket pocket, took out the small scroll, and extended it to the pilot, who took it quietly and put it in a side pocket, and turned around:

- Good . . See you soon .

He headed towards his plane , but the other man stopped him:

- Just a moment . .

The pilot turned:

- What? . . What is the matter?

The man said in distress:

- Things are here. . in the mine. . Not going as it should. . That man . . The intelligence man coming from London.

The pilot asked him:

- (Hebron)?

The man nodded his head before saying:

- Yes it is. . You must have read the news. . He says that the Diamond Authority appointed him here, and because of that, deterrent penalties and warnings were issued, and fear began to creep into the junior staff.

The pilot asked him in confusion:

- What you mean?

The man did not care about the pilot's question and continued his words:

- I had to be strict. . A man fell into a machine that breaks stones and rocks. . Which made it worse. . I had to pay extra, more than ten percent, and yet the workers were not convinced and it seemed that the men. . Security men, they're going to shoot one of my clients. . And you know those cowards who can't resist violence. . I am sure that none of us will withstand torture. . Me too .

The pilot asked him for the third time:

- And what do you want from me? . . Do you want me to pass that on to the Big Man? . . You are the most important then!

shouted man:

- I don't threaten anyone. . All I want is for them to know what's really going on here, in the diamond mines. . And everything about this (Hebron)?

The pilot said in despondency:

- And what do you want?

The man replied:

- The Chairman of the Board of Directors said in his last assessment that the smuggling of diamonds must be stopped, and this means that they stop me. .

The pilot said calmly:

- You are not alone. . me too . . Almost everyone in the operation. . So what do you want? More money?

The man nodded:

- yes!

- How much do you want?

- Twenty percent or more.

The pilot said quietly:

- OK . . But it has nothing to do with me at all. . If I were you, I would not have exhausted these workers. . Perhaps they were tougher than (Hebron) himself!

A moment of silence passed, after which the man said:

- Good . Tell them that I am working hard and need more money and they will understand what I mean.

The pilot said:

- Good . . See you after one month.

He said it and headed towards the helicopter, so he got on it, and took off with it. The second man covered his eyes from the dust that had accumulated around him, and the plane headed east. . The man got on his motorbike and drove down the narrow path towards the border hills of Sierra Leone. .

His mind was full of thoughts and ideas about what was happening. . This was part of one of the largest smuggling operations in the whole world. .

Smuggling those bloody sparkling stones. .

Diamond!

Sonya murmured, a deep thought appeared on her face.

- Perhaps I would have found the courage to expel my son, Daniel, if I had found him, as he described himself: (the bastard who has no morals). .

Then she shook her head sadly.

- But I did not see on his face the evidence of these signs; I realized that he became a man other than the man. .

He interrupted her, saying:

- I don't think so. .

I interrupted him in turn:

- I admit that you helped him and removed him from his disgraceful manners, and even noticed an improvement in his general appearance as well. I noticed that a remnant of the goodness latent in the depths of his soul was trying to float up and appear on the surface. On that day he was cheerful and happy and did not care about anything, and he was talking to me about you and what he had for you. Of love and appreciation.

I nod gratefully:

- I have met him many times after that.

I believed what he said:

- He would come in wickedness to visit me, or I would go to meet him and we were hiking in the countryside, and so I was led to tell him our story from her god. I told him everything, so he panicked first, then he became angry and insisted in turn that he avenge his father by stealing the crystal plug and to avenge himself for what happened to him at the hands of Colbright, and his first concern after that was to agree with you.

Maxim clicked his forehead and muttered:

But he should have told me first. .

interrupted him:

Yes, I share your opinion. Unfortunately, Daniel was weak and under the influence of one of his companions.

asked her:

- You mean (Korpov)?!

She shook her head affirmatively.

- Yes . . (Korpov). . That mean, deceitful wolf, who lives in the dark, has been able to control my son, and Daniel erred in the trust he placed in him, and (Korbov) succeeded in convincing him, and convincing me as well that it is good for us to work on our own account, so he studied the matter and took it upon himself to implement it. In the end, I carry out, with your guidance, the campaign of robbery of the villa of "Marie Tabriz", which "Urjuwan" and his companions could not search further because of the intense supervision of the servant (Leonard) and (Daniel) had to either surrender to your experience or leave you away from the conspiracy to avoid a misunderstanding It was catastrophic, but Korpov was in control of us.

She paused for a moment, gasping for breath, and then continued:

- So I accepted to go with Colbright to the theatre, and in the meantime you robbed the villa, and when I returned to my house about midnight, I reported the news of Leonard's death and the arrest of my son. To be sentenced to death and hanged. . And I pushed him to the abyss. . I'm his mother?!

He said in a tadda:

We will save him, so rest assured. .

Then he asks her:

- But I must know all the details, so tell me, how did you learn that night about Engin's accidents?

She answered:

- I learned about it from two of your comrades, or rather from the comrades of (Korpov), and he had chosen them to lead the two boats.

He laughed and asked her:

- You mean "Grunyar" and "Lobalo" who are now waiting for you outside this house?

She shook her head :

- yes . (Korbov) was interested in knowing the places to which they differ, and in this way he knew all the houses in which they resided.

exclaimed :

- God damn it!

I continued explaining:

- He was prepared for the conflict that must erupt between him and you one day, so he removed the boxes from the doors of your house. And he did the same in Bobrick's house, and he was using a man of dwarves who was very thin. Those small holes were enough. . It occurred to me at once, in order to save my eldest son, that I should use his younger brother Jack, who is, as you see, thin and of great intelligence and courage, so we went at night, in the light of the instructions of Groniard and Lobalo, and found in Daniel's private house the key to your apartment on Rue Matignon. I was at that time less willing to ask you for help than to rob you of the crystal plug which I thought you had. I was not mistaken in my thinking, as my son Jack managed to enter your room, and after a few minutes he was brought to the stopper, so I went dancing with joy and hope flying over me, feeling that I had become the owner of the secret talisman. And I decided to keep it to myself without telling Purple to be the only one in possession of Colbright. I could harness it to save my son, but unfortunately there was nothing in this crystal. . No paper, no list, no cavity, nothing. . Engin's adventure, then, was for nothing. . It only resulted in the killing of Leonard, and the capture of my son! . . And so all my efforts went in vain!

He asked her sharply:

- But . . Why?

Chapter 2

2- (client)

I was acquainted with (London) when I published my first book, and although I was a young man and still had the indiscretion of youth in me, this book caught the attention of everyone who tried to get close to me. I lived next door to Victoria Station - in London everything has changed now - I go shyly by carriage to the salons of literature where I met a group of ladies whom I loved only Rose Ronelle, in whom the cunning of a man and the stubbornness of a woman met. . In her house I met Mister (Samuel Colby)'s wife, at a tea party, to which Miss (Ronel) invited a large group of people who ignored me to talk about other matters, and my confusion was not hidden from Miss (Ronel) as she approached me and said:

Let's talk to Mrs. Colby. . She is fond of your book.

I asked her with genuine interest inquiring about this lady:

What is this Mrs. Colby doing?

Hamsa replied:

-She is fond of throwing parties. He talks a lot; She invites you to it.

Then she brought me to Mrs. Colby and introduced me to her, and after ten minutes we had talked about many things. . This lady had a sweet voice, and I knew that she lived in a high building in (Distminster) overlooking the great cathedral, the same neighborhood in which I used to live, and then the relationship between us was strengthened and I knew my home address. . A few days later, I received an invitation from her for dinner, and I answered the invitation happily. . I arrived a little late and there were the authors (Richard Twenge) and (George Rudd), as well as Mrs. (Jay) and Miss (Runnel).

And it was a wonderful party in which we spoke on many subjects, but Mrs. (Colby) did not speak much, but she was a clever compliment, and whenever she felt lukewarm in speaking, she made a new remark that opened the door for discussion. . She was a slightly plump, calm-looking woman, with a pale face, of thirty-seven years old, with jet-black hair neatly styled. . The dining room was neatly arranged, the green curtains draped over its window to match the wallpaper, and after dinner Mrs. Ronel went out into the garden, for it was a spring day. . I told her shortly:

- It was an excellent dinner.

- Was it really so? I told her, "If she wants to invite the authors, she should have good food."

Good advice, but why are you calling the authors around? . . A strange hobby for a lady?!

She finds pleasure in their company. That's it!

I shook my head understandingly. . Then I asked her:

Where is Mister Colby? . . Why don't I see her in his company here?

He is a failed human being who works as a stockbroker. It is not in the nature of being present in concerts and literary salons.

Are they a happy couple? . . I mean, are their lives good despite their different passions?

Yes, they both understand each other, but he is a quiet man, not passionate about literature or writers.

It is strange for a nice woman to marry such a loser!

Because wise men do not associate with nice women.

She said it in a vain, cheerful tone, while I murmured:

-I do not think so . . Do they have children?

she answered :

-yes . . A boy and a girl, still in school.

. . And I held other dinner invitations during the summer time with Mrs. (Colby), and I admired her manner of courteousness and courtesy to the servants and her guests, and her house was neat and tidy, full of flowers, and the table was always carefully arranged, and in the parlour hung a picture of her son and daughter, the boy of sixteen and the little girl She is two years younger than him and she looked like her mother with her charcoal black hair, and I told her after I saw this picture:

-They look just like you!

She said quietly:

- Yes, she is very similar to me, another image of me, more than their father.

I asked her:

Why didn't you introduce me to Mister Colby before? Is there anything to prevent?!

She smiled tenderly, her face flushed with embarrassment. . Then she replied, in a tone that suggested that she was trying to hide my flaws and protect me:

- Do you want this? He is a business man who does not like literature and does not claim intelligence and has not made money, but he is a good man. It is true that he started as an unsuccessful bank employee, but he is - really - a good man, with a pure heart.

murmured:

- I think I will miss him.

She smiled, saying:

-Good . . I will invite you to lunch one day. . But remember, you came of your own volition, don't blame me if you've had a bleak time!

***

And one morning Mrs. (Colby) sent me a card in which she said that she had invited him to lunch, but none of her guests came, and she was pleased to take his place. Then she said in her letter:

"It's a dreary invitation, and you'll be upset to the end, but your presence will make us very happy."

I recognized him, and when you introduced me, he shook my hand coldly; She quickly said in a cheerful tone:

I want you to make him feel that you really are my husband, he's starting to doubt it.

Mr. Colby laughed feignedly, and then remained silent until the guests came, and I sat silently until the dining room was full, and everyone was talking loudly, and babbled about politics, and about children, and about fairs, and about the weather, but Mr. Colby did not say a word, but remained silent and watched. His wife was in tenderness and amazement, and after the feast, Mr. (Colby) went with the guests, and we, the men, remained, where she knew Mr. (Colby) the truth: he is a useless loser, but a good husband and a faithful worker. At the end of spring, they all packed themselves up for the villages, and Mrs. Colby went to Torfolk Bay. . She invited her to meet in the fall. . I was back in London, and four hours later I met Rose Ronelly on German Street.

As soon as I saw Miss Ronel, I said to her, drawing astonishment on my face!

-You didn't look very funny today?

The girl's eyes flashed and she smiled as if she was carrying a scandal or new news about one of her friends. She murmured:

Have you met Mrs. Colby lately?

Her voice was telling of a terrible accident . . And I answered her:

- No. . what happened?

She said in Gomme:

- The man ran away from his wife!

Miss Ronel saw the effect of her sentence clearly, and said in a calm voice:

- I don't know the details. . But a young girl who used to work in a tea shop has quit.

Then she smiled and gave a meaningful look, then walked away in quiet heavy steps, and after a while of silence I began to think softly about what I had heard. . How could a man of Mr. Colby's age go so crazy? . . Then I thought to Mrs. (Colby), I had sent her a telegram telling her of my return, but I had not received a reply. Would you refuse to meet me?

Perhaps it would have been better not to go and . .

But she may need me. . She must be tormented now. . At this point, I wanted to see the effect of this on her. . See, what do I do? Should I go or not?! I found myself . . Without knowing - I knock on her door, and ask the maid to ask her if she wants to meet me or not. . After a few minutes she came back saying in the literature of Jim, and she extended her:

-Can you follow me, sir?

I felt a gloom at this reception, but I followed her into the parlour, and Mrs. (Colby) was there with Captain (MacAndrew) brother-in-law, standing by the fireplace. . I thought I had bothered them with my curiosity. . I said:

I was sure you wouldn't like me here.

She said quietly:

-both . . I was waiting for you, and you can have tea with us.

She saw tears welling up in her eyes. . She continues:

No doubt you still remember Captain MacAndrew? . . We ate with him before the end of spring.

I shook his hand in confusion. . But she saved the situation, as she started asking me what I had done during the summer. . So I spoke to her, until the maid brought tea: and the captain (MacAndrew) said suddenly:

-Do you know what happened? . . Did you get the news?

I nodded in the affirmative and said:

-yes . . Without a doubt. . You know a lot of rumors circulating here.

The captain said in distress:

He fled to Paris with a woman . . He fled without letting his family know about him.

Mrs. (Colby) could not hold back her tears; She quickly left the room. .

-I'm sorry. . but . . What will happen to her and her children? . . What happens after seventeen years?

I said in amazement:

Seventeen years old?

He explained:

-yes . . They have been married for seventeen years, and the miserable woman has nothing left to do but ask for a divorce, and this is what I was trying to persuade her to do before you came.

Mrs. ( Colby) fell back on one of the chairs, and felt ashamed that I had nothing to say. . But she saved me when she asked:

Do people talk a lot?

I nodded for a moment, then answered:

In fact, I have only been back for a short time, and have only met Rose Ronel.

She asked me with interest:

Tell me, for God's sake, what did she say to you?

I waved my palm, answering:

-She said he left.

She said eagerly:

-Is that all? Did she tell you something about him leaving with one of them?

I couldn't tell her about the girl working in the tea shop, so I said liarly:

- No. _

She said gratefully:

-I thank you . . This is what I wanted to know.

Then I decided to leave, and I shook hands with Mrs. (Colby) and said to her respectfully:

I am ready to do anything you ask. You can count on me for anything.

She smiled and said sadly:

- Thank you. . No one can do anything for me at this time.

I was about to shake hands with Commander (McAndrew ) , but he did not extend his hand, but said:

- I'm going with you. . Aren't you going across Victoria Street?

murmured:

- Yeah. . let's go .

And at the moment we left the door he quickly said:

- It hurts. . is not it?!

Then he added:

We do not know who is the girl we left with. . All we know is that he has gone to Paris.

I asked him in silence:

Was their married life happy?

He nodded his head and said:

-yes . . My mother said they had never fought each other in their lives.

I said with understanding:

So she couldn't believe all this was happening?

Chapter 3

He answered calmly:

No, he had spent the beginning of the summer with his wife and two children in Norfolk, and all his behavior was normal then, we played golf together in the morning and took a little walk at sunset, and then he went back to London, and we got a letter from Paris saying he would never come back . So without any preamble!!

I asked him in amazement:

-Why?

Perplexed, he said :

He did not mention reasons, but the speech was only ten lines.

murmured:

-amazing!

Believer said:

-Yes, of course .

Then I asked him anxiously:

What will happen to Mrs. (Colby) next?

He said in packages:

We must have a reason for divorce, I will go myself to Paris to find evidence.

I asked him:

What happened to his work as a stockbroker? . . What happened in this matter?

He stretched his lips and said:

Colby was very secretive. . He did not leave her a single penny. . All she has now is about three hundred pounds .

I said in sorrow:

- Oh my God. . How can she go on with her life then?!

He said in silence and sadness:

God only knows how this will happen .

***

She replied disapprovingly:

- Why? Because the stopper that you stole in the burglary was not the one that was made in John Howard's stores, but rather the stopper that Colbright sent to these stores to serve as a model for the size of the stopper he requested to be withheld.

He asked her with interest:

- If that is the case, why did you bother to return the model to "Colebright" in the first place?

She replied, looking into his eyes:

I did not want Colbright to feel that someone knew the secret of the stopper and was trying to seize it, so I had my little boy Jack pull it out of your coat pocket, and put it back in its place.

Maxim asked her:

- So he doesn't suspect anything? . .

She shook her head in denial.

- no . He knows everyone is looking for the list but he doesn't know that I and Urjuan know where he puts it.

Here, Maxim walked into the room, thinking. Then he approached (Sonia) and said to her:

So you haven't moved a single step since the Engin accident?

She answered frankly:

No, we didn't go one step further. Because we were walking without evidence like blind.

Correct her stubbornly:

Or rather, your sole purpose was to extract the list of twenty-seven from Colbright.

She nodded in response:

- Yes , but how, and besides that, your actions frankly bothered me. Especially after we learned that the new cook of Colbright is your old maid Victoire. And after the door guard assured us that this cook was taking you there.

He asked her carefully:

- Are you the one who wrote to me asking that I withdraw from the field?

She shook her head, answering:

- yes .

He asked her again:

And you, who asked me not to go to the vaudeville theater?

She answered:

- Yes, the doorkeeper had caught Victoire overhearing a telephone conversation between me and Colbright. Lobalo, who was watching the house, saw you. . He watched you leave, and I thought you'd follow Colbright's trail that night.

He looked into her eyes and asked:

- And the maid who came here one afternoon?

He simply answered:

- It's me, and I wanted to meet you, but I gave up and left.

asked her:

And were you the one who stole Daniel's letter?

she replied:

Yes, because I knew his line on the cover of the letter.

asked her:

- Or did you not have Little Jack with you?

Sonia replied:

Yes, and he was waiting for me outside with Lopalo in the car, and I helped him up from the saloon window and into this room through the awful opening of the door.

He asks her again:

What was the content of the speech?

His answer:

- (Daniel) was reprimanding you in this speech and accusing you of neglecting him and that you are using the case for your personal benefit. This outweighed my mistrust of you, and therefore you ran away before you came.

Maxim shrugged his shoulders in error.

- How much time did we waste? It is sad that we were not able to reach an understanding before now, each of us was setting traps for the other, and the days pass, they pass quickly. But do you think there is no longer a glimmer of hope? . .?

She muttered:

There is one way, one way. .

***

- Good . .look at this!

Mr. Ramsey said impatiently, and at once the man put one of the precious stones in front of his lens; It was lit up with blue and yellow rays. . With some contemplation he was able to see the heart of that jewel. . The diamond. . The man shouted:

- I think I understand everything now!

Mr. Ramzy said:

- And that's what Mr. George said a few days ago. Since you have decided to break into the world of diamond smuggling, you should know all about it. . You may be deceived by any fake stones!

Then he rose from his seat and said:

- Now let's continue what we started.

And they stayed like this for a long time, contemplating stones and jewels, and studying the contrast and difference between each of them: this was the master (Ramzi). . And that which accompanies him is (Sabri). . (Ahmed Sabry), the most dangerous international intelligence man ever. . Which eliminated many of the espionage and smuggling networks. . And still in the context of his endless adventures. . Carrying his most famous secret number in the intelligence world. .

(11 - 11)

The time was approaching midday, and Mr. (Ramzy) was sitting silent, leaving the famous intelligence man thinking about the purpose for which he had been summoned. .

Sabri did not think long. . So, Mr. (Ramzi) initiates it:

- How long has it been since you returned from France?

Sabry replied:

- About two weeks.

Mr. (Ramzy) put his palm over several files in front of him:

- I checked your profile recently. . Your health is fine; So you are able to do this task.

Sabri said in Hamas:

- Of course, sir.

Mr. Ramzy looked directly into Sabri's eyes and said:

- But beware of the error. . This time you will deal with professionals. . Some of them even drown their ears in this trade. . That is, you have to think more than once before accepting this task.

Sabri said confidently:

- Rest assured, sir.

Mr. Ramsey nodded his head and said:

- Well, you should know the beginning before you decide. .

He was silent for a moment before he continued:

- A week ago, an official from the Ministry of Finance came to me. . The topic of discussion was about diamonds. . It seems that the gems and jewels that they talked about come from far away regions, and that ninety percent of this trade is traded in (London) through the diamond company. . And don't ask me how it was done. . Because the British were able to control this trade, at the beginning of this century in which we live, until it grew and became inflated and brought in fifty million pounds every year. . If there is a defect in this trade; Things got messy . . This is exactly what happened. As it turns out that two million of these stones are smuggled every year from the mines.

Sabri asked him:

- This is a very large amount. . but . . Where is he going?

Mr. Ramzy stretched his lips and said:

- They say he goes to America. . I agree with them on this opinion.

Once again, Sabri asks him:

- And why, sir?

Mr. Ramsey replied:

- Because America is the world's largest market for diamond trade, then the smugglers are Americans. They are perfectly good at this job. . They have gone all the way in this field.

Then he waved his palms before saying:

- You must have read in the papers that Debeir has taken our friend Hebron.

- After leaving the Secret Service there. . In order to work in the security of South Africa, he submitted a report in which he recommended what should be done there. . But the Ministry of Finance and the Trade Authority are not convinced by his proposals. . Then the officials approached us, to take a step in this. .

Sabri asked:

- And what does that mean?!

Mr. Ramsey replied:

- There is now a large quantity of diamonds in London waiting to be smuggled to America. . And members of the Special Section know the names of the smugglers. . They also know who will accompany this smuggled quantity. . When Ronnie Romance found out about this, he sent one of his agents in Soho. . Immediately that agent went to the Treasury and informed them there of the matter. .

(Sabri) said in confusion:

- Why not entrust the matter to the special section then. . As long as the information in their hands?

Mr. Ramzy said:

- They could not catch the smugglers. . It seems that the World Intelligence Bureau will not help us in anything. . Because America will not care about what matters to Britain. . Because it is outside the scope of the police and the special section.

Sabri said:

- I see that clearly. . But do we have any evidence?

Mr. Ramzy said:

- Have you heard of the Diamond House?

(Sabri) shook his head and replied:

- Of course, sir. It is the largest American jewelry house.

The President nodded in agreement and said:

- This diamond house has a small branch in London ( Gabrik Gardens). . During the past three years, its owners were among the largest clients of the Diamond Company. . Now, their purchases have doubled. . This means that they get their diamonds from other sources. . The Ministry of Finance mentioned their names during our meeting, but I could not find anything that owes them or their boss (Rufs Sy).

Sabri asked:

- How did I appear, sir?

Mr. Ramsey replied:

- You will meet Mr. Romance at Scotland Yard in one hour, and he will give you all the necessary information, and put you tonight in the place of the smuggler who will do the operation.

Mumble (Sabri):

- And then what?

The director sighed.

- She will smuggle diamonds from Britain to America. . This is our final decision.

And he tilted his head at Sabri, saying:

- What do you think of it?

Sabri was silent. . So Mr. Ramzy knew the answer. .

Ahmed Sabry will agree. .

He will accept the challenge. . and risking.

***

Two days later, Mrs. Colby sent for me, and when I went to her I found her alone in mourning. . say to me :

You said you would be willing to give any help I ask of you . .?

I quickly said:

- Yes. . I have said this. . I am still ready to provide any assistance.

Whisper said:

- So. . Could you go to Paris and meet Samuel?

she exclaimed in amazement:

- . . I?! I only saw the man once, what am I going to do about this.

She said faintly:

MacAndrew has insisted that this be done, but I know he is not the right man, and all that will happen is that he will complicate the matter further.

I said in confusion:

- But I didn't talk to your husband much. . All he will do is fire me.

She said insistently:

tell him that you are coming at my request, he will not do this, and he will listen to you.

I said in embarrassment:

- But I don't know much about you, and this requires someone who knows the details of the subject.

Then she asked:

Why don't you go yourself and talk to him ? . . This is better, no doubt.

Did you forget that he's not alone there?

-Do you know who she is?

-both . . Nothing I know about her. . I thought he was happy with me, until his last letter came to me.

Tears rolled into her eyes and she burst into tears. . But she quickly dried up her tears.

Something must have affected him, I don't know that woman, but she changed him to another man.

Then she added:

She must have been planning this before . . From a long time .

-Why do you think so?

She said nervously:

My husband claimed he spends most of his time at the club practicing bridge, and when Captain MacAndrew met the members of the club he said Colby must be a pro now, but the members said they had never seen him there. . No doubt he was with her at this time.

I murmured sorry:

I think it would be difficult to tell the two children about this?

She understood:

-Uh . . yes . . I didn't say a word, I just said their dad has some business outside, oh my goodness. . I don't know what it would be like for them? . . How would our lives go on without him?!

I said quietly:

- Well, I will go to Paris; If you prefer this, but what am I going to do?

She smiled and said:

Ask him to come back.

I said in amazement:

MacAndrew say you asked him for a divorce?

exclaimed:

-both . . This will not happen. . Tell him that, I will not let him marry that woman. . I insist on this.

I asked her quietly:

-Do you still love him?

She waved her palms and answered:

-I do not know . . I want him to come back. . Maybe we start again, I'll forget what happened. . I will forget everything.

I asked her:

- But how shall I go to him, when I do not know where he is staying in Paris?

she answered:

That his place there is known. . He sent to one of his friends that he is staying in a hotel (Belgium).

- I've never heard of him.

She said quickly:

But the captain knows everything about him. . He says it is a luxury hotel. . Meet him and tell him that his family wants him and that I can't live without him, I will commit suicide if he doesn't come! . . Tell him about everything, about our memories together, tell him that his room is still waiting for him and that we are waiting for him impatiently.
