Save A Son

probably today will be his last day to work here, tomorrow is the start of school, his last year in college,

he doesn't know how he got admitted to that school and how it turns like that, when he didn't even sign or join any scholarship, because he plan to just work and drop college, he no longer plan to study, for him, earning money is a must, his granny need money for hospitalisation

wiping those sweats that trickle down to his face down to his neck,

"Hiro, grab some?", Andrew give him a bottle of water and soda, giving him a choice what to drink, to be honest he wants the soda and his throat dry at the tempting sight of the orange soda,

knowing its not on his money, he took the water and drink it on one go

"one moment i thought you will be true to yourself at least for once and choose this", he raise the orange soda

"since today is your last, but seeing you still choose not to, well what can i do?"

he look at him and figure what he meant, well he knew what he meant but he chooses not to, he is the kind of man who loves not to take things longer,

as the saying flows to his blood Less Talk Less Mistake, its not that his afraid to make mistakes, when mistakes are part of daily life to help everyone grows, but what he is avoiding is the more he talk the more they want to know, and that is out of him, his tired of making conversation and waisting his precious time, but if he is paid from blabbering, then it will be a different scenario

he left Andrew and continue on lifting those new arrivals of porcelain about to be delivered on different malls, in Korea

he is not from here, but this is where he grew up, his granny doesn't want to talk about the past, he doesn't even know how his parents look like, not even their names we're given to him

after his job he cleaned himself from the shower room meant for the workers on their locker, he doesn't want her granny to smell him like a bull again, he still remember how her granny scold him and whack him with her stick when he came home from his first to work, smelling like a rotten meat,

"i didn't race you to be neglected on your hygiene! how could a man go home smelling like shit!" he run and dodge the stick but he wont go far since his scared if his granny slip from chasing him.

"ok ok ok granny i wont do it again! stop! look, I'll be black and blue if you continue to hit me" he hug her coquettishly from the back to stop her from hitting him, and he earned a very juicy pinch from his waist that makes him eat the insides of his mouth,

when a nurse tap his shoulder, his on a daze and didn't even react to her

"why?"

"why didn't i just stay with her and never leave for work, i should have stayed", he keep asking himself

the nurse is confused at how miserable he look, she doesn't want to ruin he momentum, but she needs the patient's family for signing some paper,

"sir are you the patients relatives?"

"yes i am", he wipes those tears away and inhale loads of air, as if trying to say he can still go on no matter what

"where is her ashes i want to see her, please"

the nurse is in much confusion,

( when was the patient turn into ashes?) her confusion weren't voice out, but do the agenda she must do

"i don't know what you mean sir, but can you please sign this first?"

he reached the clipboard and sign the papers, he knew this paper will be the papers where it states the time of death of his granny, he read it to find what time his granny leave him,

but what he read is, patient transferred in private room 908,

he look at the nurse with unbelieving eyes, picking those flowers and fruits on the ground and run after signing the paper,

his granny!

he run pressing the elevator like his life depends on it, the elevator becomes more slower to him he doesn't like elevators much, but this time it's different he need to see his granny, and when it ding, indicating he can go in,

"granny don't scare me like that again or i will cry myself till i can't cry no more"

the man come near and hand him a white paper

"this will be your schedule and dorm to live, also , for tomorrow you need to directly attend the school, the principal wants to welcome you also, with some words", after saying that, the two leave, and left to be alone alone with his granny

"granny who are they? are they the one who transfer you her?"

" i don't know kid, i woke up, and see that I'm transferred here,"

he kissed the forehead of his granny and help her peel an apple to eat, he read the paper given to him, and saw something, that makes him doubtful, what is the connection of this school to his life to the extent of transferring her granny to a private room, and free of expenses, he don't believe it, theirs no such as free load on earth,

later that night he also sleep with her granny and didn't go back home, since the sofa is soft enough to be his bed, early in the morning the man in tux arrive again with a meal on hand a bag and uniform too,

his questions were eaten back to his mind, when his granny talk to him, in a happy tune, a tune he cant ruin, he loves his granny so much, that he wont dare to make her sad, but sometimes his naughty and it can't be help, if he received a whacking from the stick of his granny, that he deserves

"I'm called 08 we are 8 guards, soon you will meet them", the man in tux told him so,

to his opinion, he didn't ask for it, but its better that he can name him, than call him "hey"

they arrive at the College gate, upon the entry of the car, students form a crowd, all are curious as to who is riding the school VIP's school service, if it's not the son or daughters of the school directors, then it must be the son of the school owner, but its surprise them to see that it wasn't someone they are familiar with, its a total stranger and wears the college uniform, and it was even ushered by 08,

08 is well known in the college ground, as one of the personal guards of the school owner , mostly seen at the side of his son

he was left by 08 to a door, and before he hesitate to enter a student with cut on his face and with a blood on uniform, comes out, he wasn't shock but he was curious, if its those blood where his,

"here" he took what the principal gave him, it was a golden card like atm and his id, he wear it like a very good student should do

"ah i forgot, welcome to your last year in College, you may go", he didn't expect it to be like this,

he didn't expect it to be like that way, he thought that he will be given something like rules or any pamphlet for aims and vision, but he was given a golden card and an id,

Hiro doesn't know that Golden card are only given to students whose parent's are part of the school, and if he is a golden card holder, his card still different from the rest, and he doesn't know that this school never accepted or given any scholarship, this school eats money, and him being a scholar is like a charity that never happens to this College, that even other students is curious about him

good thing he brought the papers that 08 gave him yesterday, through it he manage to find the building of engineering, this will be his last year, and soon he can find a good job, that pays well, and save up to open a business and also for the expense he needed for his granny

since he wanted to have a business of his own, he will do all he can to give his granny a good life, to repay her of all her sacrifices for him

his face buried on the paper reading the context on it, when was trip by someone intentionally, and fell flat on his stomach, all the papers given to him by 08, where scattered, he wanted to get up, but was press down by someone using its feet, anger arises unto him, when he didn't do anything wrong to them,

but another feet of someone else presses him on his chess to the ground, and make it hard for him, to get up, the papers were pick up by another guy and read it with excitement,

"woah? a scholarship?", as the guy blurted it out, feet who were pressing him left in an instant and fled to the paper that their buddy is holding

he managed to stand on his two feet ,and ask them to give his papers back, but they seem to be deaf, his holding himself not to get into any fights since it his first day, but they even pull his cord that holds his id and golden card

"he is even a gold card holder?, ei? let see how this works?go to the canteen?", the three students see him as a joke, and turn their backs on him, he run after them and before he could even kick one of them, someone throw an empty bottle of soda to one of them, and fell unconscious, his rage turns to wow, when it was just an empty tin can and makes the opponent almost lifeless, he suddenly wants to learn the trick,

but the owner of the trick is someone, he met awhile ago,

into the principals office, the first guy to leave at that time, with blooded uniform,

two other guys left in a hurry when they saw him coming, even left the other guy who is lying unconscious to the ground, again his papers were scattered to the ground, and he pick it one by one, when he was about to pick the last paper,it was taken by a slender hands,

(a man can have a soft and smooth hand? isn't he the kind who always get into fight? how could he have such beautiful hands?) his thoughts wonder at the sight before him, he couldn't even ask, when the paper was thrown back to him, together with his cord, and left him their amazed, its the first time, the first time for him to be this amazed by someone,

"who is he?"

08 appear from nowhere and this time, he really is shocked, of his sudden appearance

"where did you even come from?", he almost yelled at him

"I'm just around mas--- i mean student Hiro" he didn't notice the mistake made by 08 cause his attention where unto to the back of a retreating figure,

"are you ok? student Hiro?"

"am ok just call me Hiro, to save your saliva"

08 smirk at the same tune given to him by Hiro it reminds him of his boss, who sure is watching from the 5th building,

08 follow his gaze but see nothing but an empty hall, since he look fine, he leave and go back to his position,

soon Hiro is back to reality, he wanted to ask 08 about what those student are blabbering about his golden card, while they're bullying him, but just like how he appeared from nowhere, he is also gone in a puff

scratching his head he entered the building of engineering

the day starts for him finally

today he only have two subjects in the morning and one subject at the afternoon, same goes for his everyday schedule, he write his schedule on a small piece of paper and insert at the back of his id to cover his detail and only his face is shown at the front,

as the subject ended, he wanted to go to the rooftop but he dare not asked anyone, he scan his bag for the paper, 08 given him and pray that their will be a direction for the rooftop and he didn't put his hope in vain, cause their really was a sketch map of engineering building,

happy like a cat, he walk his path, this time he used the stairs, he love stairs the most, since its always crowded of ghost, in short not a single sign of student to be found, since elevator is everywhere in this building, he look to the sketch again, and saw that on the ground floor their is atleas 10 elevator, he was mesmerized at the thought,such flashy building, 5 to the left 5 to the right , and doors are like toilet aligned straight, and he laugh at the thought,

he is the kind of person who does not only love the stairs but hate elevators and escalators most, why? because at elevator he feels like his intestines where jumping and everytime it stops he had a headache, so before he could reach his floor he might need to run for a toilet to vomit, and escalators feels him like he had a hangover,

and his fast on his pace as he reach the rooftop not long, maybe his stamina is built to walk on stairs.

he opened it and freshed air greets his system, suddenly made him relax and walk slowly to reach the fence wire, and look down, he loves the feeling, like a cat he purr at the comfort, he sat inside a shed he saw, and what surprise him is their is room, 3 rooms? and when looks closer there's a place for card like he have on his i.d he look at the other rooms and saw one with a red sign, written *occupied permanently Qent Gu, he tried his luck if his guess is right, he insert his card to the nearest room to the wire fence, and it clang open, before he could enter the card swiper made a voice, and he got chills, he didn't know it can talk,

"student Hiro, occupy permanent or temporary?",
