Safari gone wrong

It was, autumn and the weather was cool. Mia and her parents were going on a safari.To a national park. As she was, not much interested in it. then too Mia decided to go on this trip. She had invited her friend Suri too.

Suri and Mia were really close, but they didn't talk as much as the other girls do.

"Are you ready? Its time to get your stuff, we will leave after dinner." Her mother informed her with excitement in her voice.

Mia nodded and said goodbye before leaving her room.

Her father was doing all the packing. As the park was a good two hour ride from their home. " Its going to rain so shall we pack our raincoats too " Mia asked. A wild ride as her friend would say it was turning out to be.

"You can have my jacket when I drop my bag, and if its raining i'll just put it inside my trunk " his father replied.

After that she went back to her room. Putting the jacket inside of her closet while her father continued packing. She sat on her bed and played with her phone.

On her phone she was checking some messages. Many times on television she had seen those wildlife tiger and buffalo videos. Now they were going to experience in real life.

She couldn't wait for tomorrow morning.

It wasn't too late until everyone was already getting asleep. Mia was sleeping on the couch with her blanket on top of her like a burrito and wearing a hoodie and pants. Her father woke up early in the morning and made pancakes for everyone.

They had it and left. For their trip to the wildlife park. In her fathers jeep. Suri too had joined them and was listening to earphones on the way. " Instead of listening to mmusic why dont you take a look at the lush green forests. All around you " Mias mother said to Suri. " Yes sure Mrs Patterman i will do it so. This song is, my favorite and its just ending " Suri said. " So are we staying in that lodge for two nights " Mia asked her father who was doing the driving. " Yes sure we are staying there for the night and day the with tour guide we will go on the forest trip " Mias father said. " What was that i think i saw, some wild animal out there among the trees " Suri said pointing to the left. " Ofcourse you will see animals out here. What did you expect " Mias mother said. " I hope the jeep is, properly filled with diesal because i really dont want ti be stranded here " Mia said. " Dont worry nothing like that will happen. We have come all prepared " Mr Patterman said.

After about an hour or so they reached the lodge. The lodge itself was built by an old man and he took care of everything there. The Lodge was very pretty inside and outside the woods was breathtaking. There were many animals roaming in the woods and even more in the other side of the forest. As said by the old man.

In the quaint lodge they unpacked. All of their mini bags and had some tea. Made by the cook. " This is so exciting just like a, real time adventure " Suri said. " Mia, show some enthusiasm what are you doing " Mrs Partterman said to er as Mia was sulkily having her tea. It seems she is sulking, no wonder, her parents and Suri didn't notice yet that she was being quiet.

Mia shook her head and tried to smile but her parents noticed her silent behaviour right away. She knew that the rest were going to ask her about it soon. " Its nothing it is, just that i am a bit tired after that ride. When we go on the tour tomorrow i will be happy. I am looking forward to it " Mia got up an said. " I am glad to hear that. We want this to be a experience you will cherish " Mr Patterman said. " Hope you have a gun with you in case you know we need to use in the jungles " Suri said and they all laughed.

" Don't scare her guys " Mr Patterman said while drinking his tea. After that he and Suri both retired to sleep and Mia followed. In the room she shared with Suri there were two beds with a, flower printed bed spread and a bedside lamp. Mia went towards the window and opened it and smelled the fresh damp forest air. It was so good to be out in nature like this she thought. Moon was up in half. From the dark forest suddenly a, slight growl could be heard. " What was that is it some wild animal out here. I rather close this window what if it jumped in here " Mia, said and closed it and went to sleep. Suri was already asleep.

On the other side of the room Mr and Mrs Partterman were also fast asleep. As Mia fell asleep to the noise of crickets in the woods all around them. The next morning they were woken up by Mr Partterman saying:" Get dressed quickly. Today is the first day of the safari. It rained yesterday so we will be going through a lot of rain."

Mia was excited. She looked at herself in the mirror. She wore light wash jeans and her favourite shirt with her hair tied into a ponytail. She was about to open her suitcase and grab her shoes. They all fast ate their pancakes and hopped into the jeep. Mr,Patterman went to start the jeep which started almost immediately. Soon enough everyone was inside the jeep. " Okay everyone. Let us make our way to the park" Mr Partterman said. A, man came from front suddenly. " Wait Mr Patterman i am going with you. I am your tour guide Rio " he said and got into the drivers, seat. As Suri and Mia sat behind impatiently waiting for their trip to start.

As their jeep drove on. Through the lush green forest and jungle road. The weather was cool. Some squirrels could be seen galloping in front of them. And other squirrels could be seen running around. Suddenly a large tree stopped them from moving forward. " Oh dear. This has never happened " Mr Patterman said and started slowing down. Suri, and Mia were nervous as heck. " Its allright we can drive around it. Yesterday was a stormy night. I know the way around here " the tour guide said.

After taking turn the group continued their journey through the jungle.

Their jeep drove on. Through the lush damp greenary of the forest. Mia, remarked " how come we have not encountered any wild animal till now. " " Have patience you will " her father said. From behind them a car came. It too was filled up people a man, woman and a ten year old kid and a guy. He seemed to be goodlooking. They drove besides their jeep and the man asked Mias father. " So you too on a, safari that is, great we, can go along together. " " Thats fine with us two for company as they say " Mr Patterman said. Their tour guide smiled a little. " Good. My name is David's and this is my wife and son Lenny and the kid is, Jeff " the man introduced himself. " Im Mia and this is my sister " Mia said and they all shook hands. As for few minutes they halted. They exchanged some words and David said. " Well now let us go ahead. "

Lenny got out of the car. To check on the ttyres or something. And gave Mia and Suri a smile. " He is friendly too. It would be fun to be with this people dont you think " Suri said. Mia nodded.
