STRIVING FOR HAPPINESS

Sandhya was a very cheerful girl. She was a 2nd year MBBS student. A scholar and hardworking . Being a forensic expert it's her dream.

" Wow ! Sandhya . You did well today. "

He was her professor , forensic medicine subject, who praised and appreciated her.

"Thank you sir." She answered and left the college with her friends..

" Sannu. Let's party. Today you did well and also you always help us with notes so. We give you a party. Her best friend Astha invited her.

" Sorry, I can't. You know my Mummy-Papa does not allow me. So , After finishing this semester u will treat you all at my house ok. " After saying this she bid them bye and went to her house .

When she reached home she saw one Audi car parked near her house gate. She was astonished. She was living in a remote area and the car-like Audi was really eye-catching and a point of gossip too.

She was in her thoughts and entered her house.

"Sannu, you are back. Come with me." Her mother suddenly came to her and dragged her to the bedroom. Sandhya noted some guests in her house.

In the bedroom,

" Sannu. Get ready . And why are you so late ? They are waiting for you. "

" Mummy who are they ? "

" They are here for you. It's a marriage proposal. "

Before Sandhya could ask or react, the bedroom door knocked. Her mother opened the door. She was shocked and surprised both.

" Why...!? Ah . She is ready in just two minutes. "

" It's ok! Madam. Shall I talk to her now ? I am getting late."

Sandhya 's mother saw her and then the man who was standing at the edge of the door. She smiled nervously and left the room.

After leaving the room she closed the door politely and went to the living room.

In the bedroom.

" Hi ! I am. " Before he could finish his sentence for his own introduction .

Sandhya interrupted gently " Dr. Vikash Nair. The famous neurosurgeon and miracle hospital owner. Hello sir.."

He smiled and set to bed. " Ok. If you know me then we can talk easily. "

" Go ahead sir. I am listening."

" Here I and my family come for a special reason. My parents chose you for my 2nd wife. From my 1st marriage I have one girl who is 3years old. When her mother delivered her she died. She was my first and last love.. mom dad constantly forced me for 2nd marriage and finally I was convinced. So , I am not forcing you but we can help each other.

My daughter needs a mother and your younger brother needs a new heart. I found a donor in New Zealand. If we marry , I will arrange all formality for your brothers Operation , visa and tickets. "

She was dazed by his words. For the first time she found her brother' s heart problem. She was a medical student so she had a proper life and how it's risky and also costly too. It's too hard to find a suitable donor for a heart transplant.

Without thinking more she replied "Ok. Done. I will marry you."

DR.Vikash frowned by her quick answer. He wanted to say something more to give her pressure and scare so she could refuse the proposal but before he could she said "So I have to stop my study too. My dreams are too right."

Dr. Vikash stood up from the bed and stubbornly saw her. First he scored her expression and eyes and then replied " Yes. You have to. "

In two months they met hardly three or four times but Sandhya's behaviour towards his daughter was so sweet and caring. This thing was enough for him . Even she easily mixed with his family members .

In two months he also got feelings for her. After his 1st wife 's death he never thought he would fall for anyone but Sandhya proved him wrong . Somewhere deep in his heart he is also eagerly waiting for his marriage. To make Sandhya his own.

Meanwhile Sandhya was upset because her parents hid her brother 's illness and also about this marriage proposal. Because of this compromise she not only left her studies and dream but also her love too.

After two months they both got married. And Sandhya became a woman from a girl.

She was just 20 years old when she took her responsibilities as a wife , as a mother , as daughter-in-law and also as eldest mistress of the Nair house.

Though that was their first night she didn't forget her responsibility toward her step daughter. First she helped her to sleep and then moved to her room. Her step daughter and her relationship became so strong in those two months. And now she is married so she has to work hard to accept the reality and prove herself that she is the best choice to be her mother. Not step mother bit being her actual mother.

When she entered in her and Dr. Vikash's room she found that Vikash was waiting for her. He was staring at the gift box which he held in his hand .

" Sorry. I...I am late." She said with some hesitation.

Vikash moved to her and held her hand. It's really unexpected for her. Before marriage he told her that this marriage is just for his daughter but now.

He helped her to sit on bed. He opened the gift box and took out two diamond bangles. He placed those bangles to her wrist and knelt down in front of her ..

He looked into her eyes lovingly and said, " You stole my heart. " With that he sealed her lips by his.

It's a beautiful start to a compromise marriage.

" Now, please Vikash! Don't give me a headache. Where are we going? I am bored now. Almost 2 hours have passed and we are still driving." Sannu asked him with annoyance.

Just 2 weeks before they got married and now their bonding like they are both in this relationship from more than 20years.

Vikash didn't answer, he just shook his head and returned a naughty smile to Sannu.

Sannu pouted and shifted her gaze from him to the window. She was thinking about their daughter. It's the 2nd time they both are going out without her. She was nervous and scared .

If in absence of them the little girl became injured or denied to eat or sleep or feeling alone and cried then!? Just 2 week before she took her responsibility as mother. It's not good if something happens to her in her absence or in her presence. Family members would definitely taunt her or her impression would affect..

But Vikash didn't want to understand this simple thing. When he came to her house with a marriage proposal, he had said he just wanted this marriage for his daughter but after marriage , he totally changed. He never missed any chance to show off his love and care toward Sannu.

It's a beautiful dream for Sannu. She never imagined her life like this before. She accepted this marriage becoz she wanted to save her brother. But now she wanted this marriage , to protect this marriage for her own happiness.

In these 2 weeks she realised what love actually means. She wanted to care for him , wanted to protect him , wanted to follow him wholeheartedly , wanted to love him from the bottom of her heart. She also never missed the chance to show off her love towards him too just like Vikash.

Though they both have a 12 years age gap ,their mutual understanding was so perfect and they knew how to balance their busy lives and gave time to each other.

After a 3 hours long drive the car finally stopped. Vikash got out of the car and ran to the next door to open door for Sannu. " Hey my beautiful wife ! We reached. "

Vikash didn't reply to her all the way so she took a nap. When she heard his voice she was still in daze. She stretched her arms and yawned. After that she got out of the car . She sighed and gestured to ask him now where?.

Because they were at an unknown place. She could see there were some farm houses. So she confused why he took her there. A neurosurgeon and an owner of famous Miracle Hospital. Why did he take her there to a farm house and the area was also so lavish few farm houses are so big with mansions and villas.

He held her hand and pulled her to his side . She was used to his lovely dovely attitude . First he enjoyed her juicy lips . After that he let her go and took her to near one farm house.

He opened the gate and gently dragged her into the house. "This is your house. Our marriage gift to you. "

Sannu 's eyes were filled with salty water. She was about to cry. Vikash saw her with confusion. He was getting nervous by her look. Though he was a doctor, but a woman 's heart is always a mystery for everyone. Even GOD also can't find out in which situation a woman will react.

He looked at her with puppy eyes and an innocent face. A boy who didn't know the answer to which teacher asked him in front of the whole class. This was the situation , he was facing in front of Sannu.

Sannu saw his nervousness and with her teary eyes she started laughing. She quickly hugged him and placed a strong kiss on his right cheek.

" I love you, Vikash. I never imagined in my dream that we have such a beautiful and understanding relationship. You make my life perfect." She expressed her warmth feelings to him with rubbing her face to his sturdy chest.

Her action made him more passionate. He first caressed her back and parted her by him a little . And then he directly grabbed her lips and started sucking gently but in a few seconds , he lost his control and became dominated and violent. She was struggling but he was not in the mood to release her easily.

In a minute or two his hand also started working. With his one hand he unzipped her dress and was busy to unhook her bra. The other hand was busy to hold her waist tightly.

" Vi...Vikash. .ufff. .we are ....in ..courtyard. ....Pl. ..please control. .. let me.....inside. ...the house... ahh...ahhhhhh.........please.....le....leave me..."

She hardly said these to him with heavy breaths and when his lips gave some space to hers for gasping oxygen. He was too excited when she was nearby him.

He quickly bent down and took her in bridal style and entered the hall. He first placed her on the living room big sofa and with that he removed her dress from above the head .

After half hours sweet and dominated torture he let her go. He pulled his body from her and looked at her weak and tired body. She was feeling that a mountain crushed her little thin body . There was no energy in her. Their both gazes fell on eachother.

She smiled and raised her hand to cupped up his face. She caressed his face. He held her hand and gently kissed her back hand. She was smiling but didn't dare to sit up. Her full body ached because of their love making.

" Want to eat ?" He gently caressed her cheeks and asked. She nodded but next second she thought who will cook? But before she could question or move her body to sit. He got off from her and wore his clothes. He handed her to her clothes and placed a kiss on her forehead.

Then he moved to the left side of the hall. There was a kitchen. In a few minutes, she heard voices of chopping. She wore her clothes and stood up from Sofa. She had a good back pain. She supported her sore back and walked to the kitchen side.

She was stopped by seeing the scene. He was chopping vegetables and one pot already placed on the gas stove. He was boiling something. She took a deep breath to catch the smell and found he was boiling rice.

" Dr. Vikash! You are cooking!! Oh my. . . Seriously? You know how to cook !?" She was astonished. He is a famous aloof doctor and also a businessman too. If his staff ever found that he was cooking for his wife than all would get heart attack or nervous breakdown. . .

" You take rest. Or if you are not. . . Then explore the home. Upstairs , the second room is for you. please visit it. And give a review, if you like it or not. And you want to change just tell me, I will. Ok." He stopped her by his words and diverted her steps to upstairs.

She shyly nodded and moved herself to upstairs. She was shocked and surprised by how fabulous her room was. The light gray color painted and amazing wall paintings of peacocks paired in it. Even the ceiling was not white but it's sky blue color and also filled with stars and moon 3d effect paintings. . . At first sight it looks like they were stickers but she stared carefully and found those were handmade paintings. There were so many other things too like flower vases , designer lamps, designer furniture and rugs. Bed was round in shape . She moved to the balcony. And saw the backyard farm. " it's so beautiful. He is great." tears of happiness were rolling from her eyes subconsciously.

"Lunch is ready. " His voice broke silence and also her thoughts too. Before turning her face to him, she first quickly but secretly wiped her tears.

But before she could succeed, he came to her and hugged her from behind " Don't cry. " with that he bent his face to her back neck and placed a kiss there.

After 2 days spent in the farmhouse , they both returned. First Vikash dropped Sannu at home then he left for his hospital. He was so busy and he took two days leave to spend time with Sannu. So, the work was too much in the hospital. He did not even enter his house courtyard , Just dropped her outside the gate and left.

Seeing her blushing but nervous face Asha (her mother-in-law ) asked " Sannu, are you ok? "

" Yes mummy. I am. Ah! Where is Aska ( Vikash's daughter )? "

" She is sleeping. Don't worry. She is ok." She replied.

"No... no...no...not ok... Mummy please. Tell her the truth." Vidisha ( Vikash's sister ) interrupted between them.

"Yes! Mummy, Vidu is right. Ask my elder sister-in-law, how she manages that noisy girl so easily. That little brat. Ufff!! sister-in-law, your daughter cried too much without you. Before her world is surrounded by us, but now. She just wants you. Tell us which kind of magic tricks you have to coax children. Not only your daughter but ours too also missed you a lot." Naina was the second daughter-in-law of the Nair family.

Her words made Sannu more nervous and flustered. She lost at words. Whether to laugh that her daughter used to her or cry that her husband took her for 1 day but after 1 day Vikash suddenly changed his mind and refused to go back. That visit was totally surprising for her. But how she explained this to her new family.

She still hadn't had any idea in which situation her new family members would react. If they would ask what they both do in two days then it would be really embarrassing.

This is the thing for which she was scared all the time. At that time they were indirectly complaining and interrogating that she left her 3 years step daughter and went out for enjoyment.

Though her face was smiling but it's fake. Her eyes clearly showed her guilt and nervousness at the same time.

Before she could say anything, one more voice interrupted " Sister-in-law ! Please don't Listen my wife. These Both ladies, they are talking like they never left their children alone. . ."

With that he stood beside Sannu and cast an angry gaze on Vidisha and Naina. He was Ashok Nair ( Vikash's younger brother) " If you dare to bully my sister-in-law then I will not spare you both. She is not alone. I will always support her."

Naina and Vidisha looked at each other and then Asha Nair , for some support. But they were both idiots.

Sannu was new in that family and Asha promised Sannu 's parents that she would always take care of Sannu.

She smirked at those both ladies and stood beside Sannu and patted her shoulder " Sannu , by relationship you are older. So you can scold them. Not allowing them to bully you. If you don't like anything, clearly deject thier naughty thoughts and also scold them loudly. If they both ever deny to follow you then tell me or my Vikash. Ok ! "

Sannu couldn't say a word but choked. She hugged her mother-in-law and could not hold her tears and cried. Asha 's words were so warm and comforted her.

All were shocked. Ashok glared at both ladies with frustration and annoyance. He thought about how they could both teased Sannu .

His brother and Sannu just married before 20 days and it's their time to enjoy. They even did not go on their honeymoon. After a long time they all could see Vikash's smiling face. And it's all becoz of Sannu.

And these both idiot ladies, bully her and she already cried because of these two ladies. If his brother would know this how he would react. Vikash must scold him. In his presence, how anyone could bully Sannu. It's his duty to protect her in Vikash's absence.

Not because Sannu was new and younger than those all but becoz she was their big brother 's wife , so for them now she was not only their big sister-in-law but also like their mother too.

" You. . . both. . . " Before Ashok finished his sentence . Naina and Vidu came forward and said " Sorry. Sister-in-law. . ."

" We were not bullying you. We are just teasing you. Next time we will not. SORRY . . . Please don't cry. " Naina said with a trembling voice.

"Yes sister-in-law, We. . . We always obey you and never disappoint you. Please don't cry." Vidu was so so scared. She was very well aware of Vikash 's anger.

Ashok and Vidisha were twins. They were both 3years younger than Vikash. But they both marry first. Though Vidisha married , but becoz of Vikash's request, she and her husband both live with Nair family.

Ashok and Naina have one girl named " Astha ".

Vidisha and Manit also have a girl named " Vincy. "

Ashok and Vidisha both were working with their brother's hospital. Ashok was a gynecologist and Vidisha was Admin head. Meanwhile Vidisha 's husband handles the account department. And Naina, she just knew how to spend money. She loved to travel and shop like a typical capitalist 's wife.

Here Sannu was totally different. She came from a low middle class family. Becoz of this marriage she couldn't even finish her studies. Plus she was timid by nature. She was always scared to offend anyone. In her dreams also she never thought to harm or hurt anyone by mistake.

It was not her nature to bully others. She was totally unaware of the scheming world.

But she got a perfect family. She had two sister-in-laws who could be her friends. Lively daughter, loving and doting husband, caring parents-in-laws and protective brother in law.

It's a perfect family.
