CHAPTER 1: BEGINNING
A figure of a young girl could be seen sitting in front of a screen which repeatedly plays a life of a pitiful human.
She could see how the human thrives to receive affection from the boorish people whom she calls a family. She was a person but she became a shadow of someone else's.
A dry laugh came out of the girl's mouth as she saw it again. For the nth time, the human took her own life away.
Then after the human died, people who surrounded her, lived and continued on their own paths. Her family did not even visit her grave.
Pity clouded the girl's eyes as she realized that human was once her and is still her. She could only watch from the side as her own body did what she did before. She just woke up unable to control her own body and only experiencing the emotions her body has.
She was utterly speechless and also lost hope to the idea of maybe, she can change things. She regretted her life a lot.
She regrets that she never got to love herself, be herself and do what she wants.
So naive that she had hoped for the life the others had. Deep inside her, she was grieving and also wishing, that maybe someone out there could give her this greed. Just this once and this time, she will live according to her own will.
Just this time.
Suddenly her dull vision turned bright and clear, it was then she woke up on the day her regret started.
She glanced around her and saw people looking at her. In her past life, she made a scene in order to be noticed, but this time she won't do it. Never.
She gathered her strength and patted out the non existent dirt on her ruffled dress. Her once joyous and jealous eyes turned cold, then she turned away and left.
This will be the beginning.
......
After she had left the ball that night, she had been locking herself up or either being at the maze practicing the 4 major arts that she had missed in her past life.
You see, before, she had believed if she acted naughty, her parents would at least notice her and at least reprimand her, but no matter what she does, even if she was dying, they never spared her a glare.
She wore a blue dress that has ruffles and ribbons around it. She had matured too early before, thinking that if she acts differently she will be praised, this time she wants to enjoy her childhood.
Her brows were scrunched as she looked at the notes for the violin she was learning. She had asked her tutor to give her a few when he visited her this morning for their sessions.
It was her tea time but she was sleeping with joy with the idea of learning those pieces. Her tiny hands gripped the violin as she leaned on it. Her delicate hands positioned itself, closing her eyes, the bow she held met the beautiful strings and a sweet yet lonely melody played.
It was her first time to play the piece but noticeable errors could be counted with one hand.
On the other side of the maze, are two old men playing chess and a little boy watching and criticizing their mistakes. They were engrossed into the game when they heard the music.
It was known that every afternoon these old geezers would spend their time here playing with the young and emotionless boy at the side.
The old man with glasses who was about to move his knight and knock the other man's queen, stopped mid air.
His gaze stayed on the big bush as if he could see someone from the other side.
"Leave it be Giovanni, it's not like it was played wrong, in fact it is beautifully played. I wonder who that could be." The old man sitting in front of the old man Giovanni said.
Giovanni scoffed and turned his eyes back to the chess board.
"Lucas, I heard this grandson of yours will finish school much earlier than his peers. Such a bright child." Giovanni said while simultaneously glancing at the unfeeling child who kept his eyes on the book he was reading. It was quite a complicated one. Political Books for a young 7 years old was quite a show.
"Oh yes, and I heard one of your grand daughters managed to skip grades after taking an exam? What was her name again? Soni?" he asked and purposely called the wrong name.
"You have turned older every minute Lucas, her name's Somi, she made quite a scene at the last ball, I had thought she would whine and throw childish tantrums when she slipped in front of so many guests. But the girl just stood and left." Gio grinned as he remembered the scene, the old man Lucas chuckled as he saw some small changes in his friends face. He knowingly smiled and knew a change of air was approaching.
The beautiful sound of the violin then stopped after some time and then the maze was covered by silence again.
The young child who appeared oblivious felt pity, he had never been so relaxed with just such play that he felt a bit weird when the sound stopped. He brushed the thoughts off and continued to study the book.
He glanced to the side as he felt someone's presence, then he saw a tiny girl walking passed. Her hair was like the white snow, shimmering over the sun's light. Her face wasn't that clear but he could see her round teary eyes as if it would fall any minute covered by her long butterfly lashes, her small button nose and pouting thin pinkish lips. She wore a blue fluffy and childish dress that he thought looks, cute. There was a violin's case on her back as she strode away. Pity.
His brows met as he realized what he was thinking, mentally scolding himself then coldly grunted and continued reading. He didn't know her image was deeply etched in his mind and soon in his heart.
.....
Back to our heroine, Somi who felt a bit sleepy decided to stop her practice and continue later at her quarters.
While she exits the maze she had kept on yawning that her eyes watered. She pouted her lips as she grumpily left.
Her tiny 5 year old body was still growing and she still needed nap time.
After reaching her quarters, she swiftly tuck herself on her bed and dozed off leaving the door open. The maids who walked by saw the open door and was about to close it when it made a bit of a noise.
A small whimper and cute snoring could be heard, the maids then decided to leave it open. They would regret waking such a cute bunny up.
Smiling from the cute sight, they left and reminded everyone in the mansion not to make too much noise especially when crossing the young mistress' quarters.
Somi was unaware that with just a month, she had gained the affection of the servants with just her cute image of sleeping. From time to time, a servant or two would pass by and sneak glances to the cute child.
They were so into it that the young child from before who was crossing the pathway noticed them. He coldly shrugged and decided to take a look.
Silently passing by, he saw a cute sight of a curled up bunny who was silently snoring.
Her hair was covering parts of her face but she just appeared more lovely.
The young child who was rudely struck by her cuteness turned red. He covered his mouth and walked away fast. Then a quick series of curses were chanted in his head.
With his ears turned red, he decided to spend his time in the comfort room. It would be a shame to be seen in such a situation, he thought. Then a figure of him running away could be seen by the puzzled servants, after seeing him, they nodded their head and giggled. It looks like the bunny gained a carrot.

CHAPTER 2: PAGANINI
A week has passed and Somi and the old men would always find themselves either listening to her play or seeing her passing by. All the time, they had neither talked nor had a chance to be with her for she will always be on her way to something else.
Albeit the constant distance, they had taken joy into listening to her obvious addiction for perfection. She would play Paganini the whole peice or sometimes a Bach or two. She delves deeper to the classical musicians that sometimes her violin's strings will snap or her finger will bleed.
She had focused all her attention to learning, she was agitated by her past life that she strives hard to make a change.
It has been days since she got nightmares when she sleeps, she would sometimes wake up drenched with sweat that she needs to change sheets. It was all thanks to the servants who did not mind the occasional changing of sheets every night or the other.
Right now, while playing the Paganini Caprice No. 24, her hands unknowingly stopped moving. She did not realize she was staring at the blue roses surrounding the cemented floor in the maze. The big green bushes who hid what's more into the maze was standing tall, like a giant. It has been for a while since she stopped playing till she heard a fake cough.
Her eyes quickly reached a figure of three people, two old men, the other wearing a black italian suit with his glasses clipped on his suit pocket. His stern eyes were bearing holes into her while his lips were pressed into a thin line. The other old man beside him wore a white american suit with a mustard napkin in his suit pocket, he had a warm cunning smile in his lips and a knowing look unbearably noticeable in his eyes. Their grey hairs look vibrant but aging doesn't really take a toll on their handsome features. Then her eyes dropped into a young boy, whose eyes were cold and unfeeling. He wore checkered long sleeves with a book in his hand. It was a book for laws, and he was quite looking indifferent.
Somi felt her spine turn cold as she saw such prominent figures, then her uneasy eyes turned dull. The old man saw such change and piqued his interest, such a young girl, posed such a lifeless look.
"Greetings, I am Somi, It was nice to meet you Sir Albeitiz, Sir Jota, and to you young Sir." Her voice was low, soft and yet held no excitement or foolish sweet sugar coating. She courtesy properly and asked if she had a stand of disturbance in any matter.
Lucas Jota felt interested to see such a young serious child other than his genius of a grandson.
"Pleasures, young lady, do you mind if we sit with you?" Lucas said and smiled. Somi just nodded her head and said it was no trouble.
She kept her little violin in its case and poured them a cup of tea. They watched as she showed off her hard earned knowledge of etiquette, and she was perfect with it.
She sat back down to her seat and stuffed her cheeks with her favourite crepes and waffles. A flicker of delight could be seen at her expressionless face that she tries to hide but cannot when placed in front of food.
She had built a habit of eating sweets during practice that she requested for a variety of them.
The four people just sat there and drank their tea while the old ones observed the little girl.
It was ironic how Lucas tried to liven it up but would only leave with small grunts and short answers. He can't help but see the resemblance of the little girl to her grandfather. Suddenly, the old man cleared his throat and stared at her.
"What year are you now?" the old man looked at her, seizing her with his terrifying aura and overbearing attitude. She felt her heartbeat quickens as he never let his eyes away from her while waiting for answers.
"I skipped five grades and is now about to enter junior high, Sir." her voice did not hold her nervousness as she quickly brushed it off, thinking she had dealt death a lot of times, so there's no reason to fear her grandfather. Only, why is he talking toher? She never remembers the man wasting a glance on her before.
"at the age of five? already in her junior high? quite a child right here, just like my own Luce. He is turning 7 and is in his senior year in highschool. You might get along with him sometimes as a little girl. You get a lot in common." Lucas intervened and tapped the busy child beside him. Luce /Lucas could only snicker at his own grandfather's obvious match making.
He had been sticking to him lately, telling a young kid to snatch Somi up when he saw him all flustered whenever she passed by at their location in the maze.
"It will be a big privilege to accompany him." she humbly said and quickly ended Lucas' idea of pairing them up. They are still kids and besides, in the future, her sister will marry him.
She glances at the indifferent boy and then quickly looks away and reads her notes. She is studying business, she is planning on doing investments or maybe even joining in some global activity like Forex trading or investments happening in the main market in Mexico right now.
"Business? what are you up to?" Her grandfather blurted out. Trying to pry something from her. In which she obliged but with only little information.
"I am planning to invest in Forex trading or some businesses down the Main City or the market. I am looking for a good plan and setbacks" as she had said that, the other three's attention was drawn while Luce's brow twitched. It seems like she will be off his interest starting today.
As then as a starter, the maze was then warped by their conversations about her plan. Feeling amused and also thrilled to see a young child taking risks and proving points into an adults talk. Truly ironic. Didn't they know she's old?

CHAPTER 3: CHANGES
5 years had already passed and it was still like yesterday since she had taken control of her body again. In her quest to change her future, events happened that she never thought would have occurred, even in her dreams.
Today she stared at the mirror who held an image of a young girl, her hair was white, the same as her long butterfly like lashes and so as her pair of brows. The girl in the mirror has its pale glass like skin, as if with just a pinch it would make a bruise. Her delicate face paired with those eyes, blueish with a touch or green that if you look closely it may seem like violet or blue or even just green.
It was then she realized that the girl in the mirror was her. A small smile appeared on her thin rosy lips that made her dimples appear. She stayed there, ogling at herself, until a knock on the door was heard.
"The master requests your presence as the eldest miss." she made her way to the door and let the servant show her the way.
Years had already passed that her petite figure had grown so much that she already had an improving pair of breast and butt at the tender age of 10 turning 11.
It was a bit early for her but it was just like this due to the efforts of her participating in martial arts, judo, taekwondo, jujitsu, horseback riding, fencing, and etc.
Such things were not required much in the Albeitiz household, it would all depend on you if you would take up the lesson. In her case, due to some overwhelming emotions and curiosity to learn, she had managed to do many things, alongside Luce, or Lucifer Jota. The young kid from before who was with her grandfather and his friend, Luke Jota.
They had grown pretty much together and had grown accustomed to each other's attitude. Luce doesn't admire too much talking and so does she, he doesn't welcome cringey sugar coated words and attitude and so does she.
By the days that they both had lived together, they had already learned much that they've built trust for each other.
People might think that they do not get along well because of their silence together, but for those who were with them, people could already call them the rabbit and the carrot. Yes, I know, pretty weird.
After she took a seat to the empty chair inside the office of her grandfather, it was then that he emerged with his trusted man with him from the connected room. He glanced at her for a while and sat on his swivelling chair.
"Somi, come sit here with grandpa." and to inform you all, her known stoick and frightening grandfather, the emperor of the legendary corporation, was actually a soft one with her, but still had his rude and scary remarks from time to time. Five years ago, Somi and the other three people (her grandpa, Luce's grandpa and Luce) had been getting along so well that from time to time they would have their afternoon tea together. Talking about business and stuff. Even though they were both at a young age of 5 and 7 those times, but still, they were able to chat alongside such grown ups.
By this time, Somi had already proven herself to them and gained their trust and respect, and so had them. Both elders and young ones had developed good feelings for Somi that they've grown protective of.
Somi had started her business and trading and Luce had begun his achievements in business also, building his empire, like how he did before, but this time he now had another thing to do. And that is to help and protect Somi, at all times.
Both children had built their businesses, Somi building a chain of food chains, hotel and restaurants, cafe and pet cafe's. She purposely built those things due to her interest in them. She gets her money from her chain of successful investments from her and there.
While Luce had made a legend for himself too, building law firms, companies and such, that they both received fame and respect with it.
Luce graduated Law and Business at a young age of 10 at the same time and brought quite a ruckus to everyone. And now he is studying Medicine. Not because he wants too but because of his grandfather's constant butting in. Because Somi was to study medicine after she graduates business and Law this year. Luce has helped her at times that she was able to advance a lot.
It was not new for her to know she is now graduating because she knew she was already old, but seeing Luce receive a lot of latin awards really makes her admire him.
Luce enrolled a year earlier than her in thought of being able to guard her at the academy. And it was also because he was bored that he agreed to study again for her sake.
Now back to where she is right now.
Her grandfather talked to her about her upcoming contest overseas with some extra curricular activities with Luce.
It has also been a joy for both of them to travel countries to countries, in search to relieve their boredom and achieve victory.
Throughout their travels and the 5 years competing, they had already been well known as the young prodigies, both title holders for the 6-10 class and 11-15 class.
Proceeded as young giants in business and prodigy's in the global competitions.
"It is already time for you to have your official social debut child, even though people already knew of your existence, still I wont allow a young miss of Albeitiz not being able to celebrate her social debut. You are my granddaughter and I want the finest things for you. In terms of the plannings, let me do the work. But I expect you to be there, I don't want you running away again. Nor you giving excuses. You are a young adult now, you should socialize, don't lock yourself up to the extent of our reach and be busy with your expanding business. You are still a child, enjoy it with the other children your age." the old man gave his litany as he watched the young girl purse her lips, pouting over the fact of not liking the idea of parties.
She always thought that her life before and now, parties or crowded places are always the key for her demise.
But this time like always, she swore not to take the ride of no return. She wants to have the changes that she made to remain. Even if it was a bit foolish.
