Revenge on the Mafia Lord

Eleonora Breathed the fresh air of California deeply, as she just landed in the US.

She left for Mexico when she was just seventeen years old, and had been studying there for five years now.

Finally she's going to meet her family, who she has missed so much.

Her family was all she had, all she lived for, they sacrificed everything for her to go to school, now she's back to make them proud, and remove them from the hands of poverty.

Walking out of the airport, she boarded a taxi, excitement bubbling up within her, she couldn't wait to see her parents.

The streets of Los Angeles buzzed with life, inside the building of the Ricci Columbo, there was greater joy there, as they all anticipated the arrival of their dearest daughter, Eleonora.

"Giorgia , Come on, check the waffles in the oven" Sicily yelled, working on the cookies she was making.

Her daughter Eleonora is arriving today, and they'll be seeing her for the first time for five years.

" Father, have you worked on electronics yet?" Their last child and only son, who's seventeen asked, as he made sure the lights were working well.

The last thing he wants is for the lights to go off, when they're having their family time.

"Yes, Roman, everything is working fine and good as new, I promise you, there's not going to be any hassle tonight" their father Andrea said, walking out of the electronic room, with a tool box in his hands.

"Father, when is Eleo gonna be here, it's already past seven?" Giorgia asked, feeling so happy to see her sister, honestly she's the most happy person here, as she just can't wait to see Eleo.

" Very soon, I'll call her soon," Sicily replied, placing the pan of cookies into the oven as she removed the waffles which were already fully baked.

"Alright then, I'll rearrange her room," Giorgia said happily.

" Go clean your mess sister, my beautiful sister is coming over, and I don't want her to complain about anything" Roman stated as he cleaned the TV.

" Sure I will and mind you, I'm also pretty"

" You wish, we all know Eleo is very pretty, not you, you look like granny"

" Mother, " Giorgia yelled with a frown on her face, as Roman chuckled Inwardly.

" Come on children, this is not the time for fights, make sure everything is in place" Sicily intervened, before there'll be a bloodbath here, the last thing she wants is for them to fight on this day.

"Come on," she said, dragging Giorgia away.

"Everything is set," Giorgia said, inhaling deeply as she looked around the neatly arranged house.

"What next?" Roman asked,

"We'll just wait for big sis to arrive, before we Merry Rome" Giorgia replied looking outside the window.

" Wow what a nice car" Giorgia mumbled to herself, admiring a black tinted car that pulled up, opposite their house.

"Mom, is Eleo coming in an expensive car?" She asked, relinquishing her gaze from the window, turning to face her family.

"Let me see, maybe my big sister has made it big," Roman said, standing up from his chair, but was interrupted by a knock on the door.

" She's here" he squealed happily, rushing to the door.

"Sis..." Rowan was interrupted by a hard kick, as he landed on the floor groaning in pain, alerting the rest of the family, as they all stood up on their seats.

"Rome are you alright?" Giorgia asked, rushing to her brother, who groaned in pain on the floor.

"Who the hell are you?" Andrea asked as a tall bulky looking man dressed in black suit and dark glasses walked in.

"Shut up" The Man grunted, punching Andrea straight in the face as he landed on the floor.

"What do you want, you are you?" Sicily asked, not understanding why a strange man would just walk into their house creating chaos.

"Ask your stupid husband"

"Do you think you can betray the boss and go free, I assure you, you'll pay with the life of you and your family" the man swore, bringing out a pistol from his pocket, as he sat on the couch leisurely.

"Leonardo, what are you doing here?" Andrea asked, trying to get back on his feet.

"I see you have no fear, you should be begging for your life"

"I'd rather die"

"Not my problem, that's yours" Leo clicked his tongue as he crocked his gun.

"Dad who is this man and what is he talking about, just beg him, so he'll get the hell out of here" Giorgia cried, not knowing what business her father has with this kind of person, from the look of things he's a very dangerous man.

" You and the underworld, deserve to burn to the ground" Andrea spat as Leo landed a punch on his face, breaking his nose in the process.

" Andrea" Sicily yelled, rushing to her husband who was whimpering in pains.

" I'm the one that has business with the underworld, let my family go"

" Never" Leo snapped, pulling his trigger.

" You know begging for my life will do no good, so let my family go, you can do whatever you want with me" Andrea spat out blood, begging for his life is pointless now, he knew how compatible the whole of Ricardo Assante acted, there was no mercy for him.

"Please, spare our lives," Giorgia pleaded.

"You know what" Leo began, arranging his suit.

"You'll be the last to die, you'll see death take everyone here, before you" Leo said and with that he shot Rowan, straight in the head.

"Noooooooo" Giorgia shrill cry was heard as she wailed loudly.

"Roman no, no, don't do this to me, Roman nnnnn...." She cried, tears flowing from her eyes, as her brother breathed his last right in her arms.

" No, no, no, not my son, not my son" Sicily yelled, while Andrea wailed silently, this is all his fault, he destroyed his home with his own hands.

"You're next" Leo said pointing the gun at Sicily, before he could pull the trigger, Giorgia rushed and grabbed him by his tie, as she pushed him violently.

"Murderer" she cried, throwing blows at Leo, while she struggled with him.

"Giorgia no....." Sicily screamed, but it was too late. Leo has already smashed her head on the wall, killing her in an instant, as her blood splashed everywhere.

"I hate gadflies" he grunted, pulling a handkerchief from his upper pocket, as he cleaned the blood stains on his face.

"Let's get done with this, am getting kinda bored already" he said, as a heart broken Sicily cursed at him, she just watched her innocent children die,it hurt her so much,

"Why don't you just take me" Andrea wailed, the sight of his dead children, breaking him down.

"For the child bears the iniquity of the father," he said with a sly smile on his face, as he ran a bullet straight through Sicily's head.

" Know this Columbo, you caused the downfall of your family" Leo said, as gunshots were heard.

" Target number one, gone, let's move on" Leo said, giving his gun to a man waiting by the car, as he got into the car.

" Come on Dante, we have lots of blood to spill"

A taxi stopped in front of the Ricci's house, as Eleonora alighted from it, face beaming with smiles, she paid the taxi man her transport fare, as she took her baggage, before rushing to the door.

"Mom, mother, " she called after ringing the doorbell several times, but got no response.

"Giorgia, father, Rome" she called again loudly knocking on the door, but still got no response.

"Are you guys trying to playing games with me?" She chuckled looking round the house which was completely dark, there was no single light on.

"I'm coming in" she said walking into the dark house, only to be welcomed by the stench of fresh blood in the air.

"Giorgia" she called calmly, trying to find her way round, as she brought out her phone, switching on the flashlight.

"Oh my god" she yelped collapsing on the floor, the moment the gruesome sight welcomed her.

"No, no, no, Giorgia, no, mother, Roman, dad" she called staring live at her family's dead body.

"This can't be true, nooooo.." Eleonora gave out a shrill cry, shaking Giorgia's body violently.

"Who did this??" She yelled asking no one in particular, she heard a sound of someone gaggling, as she followed the sound to her father's body.

"Father" she cried loudly, placing her hands on her father stomach, trying to stop the blood that was flowing from there, it was obvious he was shot.

"Who did this?" She asked as her father struggled for breaths.

"Eleonora my dear" he gasped throwing up blood.

"Save your strength father, am here, let's go to the hospital" she Said raising his heavy body up, but was stopped by him.

"Run...they're com....ing th...R...ic.a...rdo As...sa..nte" he stammered struggling for life.

" What's that father?" Eleonora cried, trying to stop his bleedings.

"The rig..ht dra..w..er on the lef..t r..un, t..hey'll ki..ll yo..u" he gasped pointing at a drawer, before his hands fell lifelessly breathing a last.

"No.......ooooo" Eleonora gave out a shrill cry realizing her father was gone.

The sound of ambulance was heard, as Eleonora's family bodies were moved into the ambulance as Eleonora sat down lifelessly as a detective interrogated her.

"So you just arrived in the city?" He asked as Eleonora nodded, not being able to utter a word.

"And you met them like this?"

"Haven't she given you her statement already, why do you keep asking the same questions all over again, or can't you see she's hurt" her friend Cory Frederick snapped as Eleonora burst into fresh tears.

" Do you know if her family had any enemies?"

" Look the Ricci's were one of the most peaceful and lovable family in this neighborhood, no one would want to hurt them, they never made any trouble, who is that devil that killed them, look he murdered them without no mercy, my dear Giorgia's head was smashed" Cory said as a tear dropped from her eyes, she has known the Ricci's since she was five till date, no one ever posed as a threat to them, who the hell wanted them dead.

"I didn't ask you" the detective said as Cory glared at him.

"Am the closest thing Eleonora has to a family now, seeing she's still in a state of shock, I will answer all her questions, and also I stayed closer to the Ricci's whily she was away at Mexico.

" Look, I guess you're done with your investigation, please leave, Cory please see them out" Eleonora said through crooked voice as she walked to her room banging the door behind.

" You heard her, leave" said Cora pointing at the door.

ONE WEEKS LATER.....

Eleonora stood at the dining table holding a family picture, reminiscing the last phone call with her family.

She has no idea what her family did to deserve this, they were a peaceful family and made no grudges, they didn't deserve to be murdered gruesomely.

Her sister's head was smashed aginst the wall, which heartless person would do that, he brother was shot straight in the forehead same with her mother, while her father was shit at different places.

She thought coming over to California was a good thing, but it only turned out to be a nightmare, given she lost her family all in one day

Her father was the nicest man on earth, he thought her everything she knew, her mother was the best cook on earth, she even saw the waffles, cookies and all the delicious food they've prepared for her.

They were equally happy to finally meet her as much as she did afte five years, but it all ended I'm tragedy.

"Mother" she cried, caressing the photo with her, they all looked so happy here, without any worry in the world.

Her father last words still rang in her head, it was a warning, he was warning her to run for her life, that means their killer was still out there.

' Ricardo Assante' that word still rang in her head, and from her best knowledge, they were the one that murdered her family.

" The first drawer on the left" she murmured her father's very last words as her eyes travelled to the first drawer on the left, she rushed there, knowing there was definitely something that he was leading her to.

Opening the drawer, she found a file that had, Ricardo Assante, written on it, she wiped her tears as she read through it.

"Murderers" she muttered, through gritted teeth, her grip on the paper, tightening, there was little or no information written there, but from her best knowledge, they murdered her family and they're also a secret organization, which is ruled by a man called Lorenzo Esposito.

Her door creaked open as Eleonora quickly kept the paper back into the drawer, turning to she the closest person she has to a family now, Cory Frederick.

"Oh dear, have you be crying again, come here" Cory sniffled, engulfing Eleonora in a hug, as she burst out crying in her arms.

"I can't believe they're gone Cory" Eleonora sobbed Loudly.

"Let it all out baby girl, it'll all be over soon" Cory consoled tapping her back.

" I visited the morgue today, we'll hold the funeral in a week, don't worry I'll take care of everything" Cory muttered as Eleonora burst into Fresh tears

" It's alright Eleo"

One WEEK LATER....

Eleonora sat by her family's grave sobbing quietly, as Cory consoled her, the sight of their names engraved on the tombstones only broke her the more, she still found it unable to believe that they're gone,here she is sobbing her family's demise, but the murderer is somewhere walking freely on earth.

It's okay Eleo" Cory consoled, shifting her sunglasses, her best friend just lost her only family, the two of them are the only ones around for the funeral as the Ricci's were Eleonora's only family, now they're all gone all in one night.

Eleonora moved to her father and mother's grave, which were embedded together, the names Andrea Ricci Columbo and Sicily Ricci Columbo engraved on each grave respectively.

"Hey mom, father, how are you doing over there? It's been two weeks already, but it feels like yesterday, why did you leave me so soon, why?" Eleonora sobbed, choking on her words, her beautiful face, fluffy and red, from all the nonstop crying.

" I miss you already, I miss you all so much, I don't think I'll be able to leave, but I'll have to be strong, I can't just let your killers go, they must suffer, I'll make sure they die painfully, I'll do to them, what they did to you, hang in there dad, mom, I'll make sure I avenge your death, I'll destroy all those responsible for this, hang in there, take care of Giorgia and Roman, I love you all, remember that, " Eleonora concluded, planting kisses on their grave, as she moved to the next, her siblings, Giorgia Ricci Columbo and Roman Ricci Columbo, was also engraved on each graves too.

" Giorgia, Roman, brother, sister, whyyy" Eleonora wailed, memories coming to her.

" I miss you alot, I miss our childhood, being with you guys is the best thing that's ever happened to me, Giorgia remember your 15th birthday, when there was no money to bake you cake, you literally cried the whole night requesting for a cake, then I and mother had to sing you lots of songs and made all kinds of funny faces to make you happy" Eleonora smiled bitterly, remembering those memories, only hurt her the more.

But she'll never let go of it, their memories were the only thing she has left to cherish.

" Roman, I'll never forget your dream to be a singer, I'll never forget our suffering, you all suffered for my sake, and I never got the chance to pay you back, you're all meant to enjoy what you toiled for, me, I'll make sure you rest peacefully and that's by avenging your death, I Love you, big sister misses you alot" Eleonora muttered, as Cory came to stand behind her, as she spoke.

" It's so sad you left this world early my friends, you all left Eleo all by herself, but I promise you this today, I'll always stand by Eleo, and always remember, I'll miss you, take care" she placed a White chrysanthemum on the grave.

"Come on Eleo,it's time to leave, goodbye Giorgia, Rowan, ma'am, sir". They said their final goodbyes, promising to visit more often, as they walked out of the cemetery, slowly.

THREE MONTHS LATER

Eleonora sat in front of a laptop, tapping noisily, she's spent the last few months researching her father's killers, and has been able to gather some useful information.

The last few months has been kind of hard for her, but thanks to Cory support, she's being able to survive, Cory insisted she moved in with her, but Eleonora has bluntly refused , even though the house had lots of memories, she still decided to stay, she still had lots of puzzles to solve and plans to hatch.

Right now she has only one goal in life, and that's to destroy ' RICARDO ASSANTE', her research over the month shows that Ricardo Assante is the most deadly mafia group in the whole of the country, and they have lots of illegal dealings.

The organization is ruled by an unknown mafia lord, who does all his dealings in the dark.

Then Lorenzo Esposito, every ladies dream, the CEO of Dacio co-operation, a man that every lady wants to have, the city's eligible bachelor.

She has gathered enough to know that, he's twenty six, the first son of the Esposito's, he promising young man, who's labeled as Gay, cause despite his good looks and intelligence, he has nothing to do with women, and there's being rumors going round, that he's gay, even though it's has not being verified yet.

Lorenzo Esposito has two sisters, Giulia Esposito and Ginevra Esposito, twins, who are spoilt brats,

The Esposito's empire is run by Their grandfather, Lord Russo Esposito, a man with vigor and strength despite his age, and rules the family with strictness.

Lorenzo Esposito is Cold, snobbish and hates having people who pry into other business, no one dares the Esposito or go Scott free, they either end up dead, or lose their name and place in the city.

Lorenzo Esposito hardly shows in public, since he hates public gatherings, he spends only thirty minutes at a party or gathering that he attends and after that, he's done.

After Eleonora researched Ricardo Assante and Lorenzo Esposito, she only came to one conclusion, Lorenzo Esposito is the Mafia lord of Ricardo Assante and the one who calls the shots there.

Observing the kind of power the Dacio co-operation holds, Eleonora came to a conclusion that they're backed up by a powerful and underground source, and her father died because he knew something he was not supposed to know, and that's the true identity of the Mafia lord.

The only thing she couldn't understand was why her whole family had to die, and the business her father had with the underworld that took his life and that of the family.

Eleonora has spent three months hatching the perfect plan, that she's going to destroy Ricardo Assante and Dacio cooperation with.

She knows clearly that she's playing with fire, but she'll burn to the ground with them even if she has to, as long as she burns them to the ground, but that's going to require wisdom and caution.

"Game on" Eleonora smirked, staring at a board in front of contained all her plans and movements and the pictures of the people she hates most on earth, the Esposito's.
