Dawn Clinton is an adopted child who has lived her entire life as the shadow of her adoptive sister, Spring Clinton.
However, like a blessing, she was married to the richest CEO in the city who was supposed to be her sister's fiancé six years ago.
Although she was the replacement for her sister and her husband is yet to accept her fully. After six years of marriage, she can't deny the fact that she has been happier. She couldn't have been happier than she is now.
She was gifted with an adorable son after two years of marriage. Tomorrow he is going to be 4 years old. She can't stop planning the birthday party.
However, to add a cherry on top, Dawn now looks at the pregnancy test on her hand.
Her face turns red and warm. She can't help but feel excited to see her husband as soon as possible and surprise him with the big news.
"Madam! It's time for Young Master to attend his piano lesson!" Her son's nanny, who has been working since he was a baby, knocks on the door.
"Coming!" Dawn shouts from the bathroom and hides the pregnancy kit under the brush holder. She hurriedly enters her son's room and looks around. But he is nowhere to be found.
"Nancy! Where is Asher? He isn't in his room!" She grabs the phone and walks out of her son's room." Did you see him playing in the garden again? I told that kid not to go to the garden at this hour!"
Rubbing her forehead, she walks towards the Garden. Nancy in the meantime goes around the yard and pool area. All the workers are on break after decorating the hall room and a load of work for tomorrow's party. They'll be returning home tomorrow early in the morning for preparation. So, Only Nancy and Dawn are the ones who need to search for him.
Dawn has full confidence that she will find her naughty boy in the garden. He likes to plant flower plants. Like his paternal grandpa, he has embraced it as his hobby.
Also Dawn can't deny that she has been enabling him with a lot of more plants so that he can enjoy greening the yard.
However, as Dawn looks around, calling Asher repeatedly, she finds no response at all.
The painful sting in her heart gives her a cruel alert.
"Nancy!!!" She shouts, seeing Nancy's back behind the fountain on the yard. " Go to the Monitor room and see where he is! right now!"
Nancy rushes inside like a bird, trying to catch up with her breath as well.
Dawn feels nauseous and lightheadedness at some point after looking for her son. She gasps to suck some air in and calm herself. Her belly hurts as well. But she can't help but feel horrible. A mother's heart knows these feelings. It's bad. She can't help but shake constantly.
"Ma'am! There is no one around. No footage of Young Master leaving the house either!"
Hearing her words, Dawn's stomach churns. She runs inside, thinking he must be stuck in some closet or study rooms.
Holding her breath, she looks around everywhere, from the closet to the secret library that her husband has behind his actual library. Everywhere, bathroom to kitchen, rooftop to basement. Everywhere. But she can't find her adorable son who never leaves her side for a few seconds. He likes gardening. But there is no way he will leave. The main gate has CCTV as well. Then why?
Unable to stand after searching everywhere for an hour, Dawn collapses. Her eyes slowly shed the tears that she has been holding. She slowly reaches out to her phone and search for the name registered as "My Love"
She presses the calling button as drop of tears falling on the screen. "Please - Please pick up!"
She feels ashamed of thinking that her husband will actually pick up. Because her husband never picks up her calls. She needs to go through her husband's assistant.
But today, she begs. She wants to tell her husband by herself. However, the phone call gets constantly rejected.
"Please! I beg you. This time, only this time..." She sobs, hugging her knees. However at the end, her calls go straight to voicemail.
Her shoulders drop as she sobs heartbreakingly. She looks at Nancy who is standing before her with tearful eyes.
"Not even in garage! My Lady!"
This is the last straw for her. She finds herself being drowned and suffocated. An intense pain in her stomach makes her cough. She grabs Nancy's hand and begs, " Call your master. Please... He isn't picking up my calls. Please!"
Nancy nods instantly, dialing the number of the owner of this house. She puts it on speaker and holds before Dawn knowing that he sometimes picks Nancy's calls regarding his son. However instead of getting a response from him, she hears a female voice.
"Whoever you are, Stop being a bitch! All nonsense!"
Dawn's shaky body and dilated pupils look at Nancy, tears falling down her red cheeks as she tries to gasp the situation. She doesn't know why she finds this voice familiar.
She grabs her phone for instance, dialing the security team to search everywhere once again. She can't trust her own search. She needs confirmation.
Two groups of searching teams soon arrive. One is searching around the house and another one is outside. They must find him before it's too late.
Dawn grabs her lower abdomen as it's been hurting so much. She has entirely forgotten about her pregnancy and the happiness she felt earlier.
She thought she despite being neglected by her husband emotionally, she was happy with her son and everyone here. After all, she was happy to have her own family.
She sits leaning her back against the wall. Devastated and scared, she keeps begging, crying. She doesn't want to lose her only happiness that makes her strong enough to live. Her entire life, her family and husband never acknowledged her as their family. She thought for once, she had her happiness with her son.
"Don't be scared! My son! Don't be scared. Mama will find you!"
She grabs the lights once again, from her bedroom to the garage, she searches once again. Garden to pool... She swims in the pool to find if he was there. She searches in the fountain if by chance he got hit and fell into it. The Bushes to the backyard garden where he never goes because of snakes. He is scared of snakes.
Everywhere she can imagine.
After another failure, she grabs her car keys and drives her own car.
They have a lot of cars since her husband is so fond of cars. She checked each of them without leaving a single spot.
After driving down to the road, she goes to the nearby park, the woods, the lake where the search team is already trying to find him. Asking the neighbours to checking their backyard... Nearby gardens and public spot...
But he is nowhere to be found...
Exhaustion has taken over her body. She slowly moves herself into the house after searching for a whole day. The searching team has already sent her the negative responses one after one, like stabbing from a knife.
Tears have dried out. She has done everything to find her son. She asked the community's CCTV footage and visited the traffic controlling office if they saw anyone or any foreign cars leaving her mansion.
However, the response is still negative. As if her son suddenly disappeared from the house like air.
The pain in her lower abdomen is like someone punching her stomach. She feels the cramps are getting stronger.
But she has no strength to focus on her body. She can't live without her son. She can't live without him at all.
Almost crawling back into the house, she sits on the floor right middle of the living room, trying not to cry more..Her consciousness is fighting against her to shut. But she can't lose her mind.. She must find her son anywhere. He is something hiding..He might have been good at hiding.
"Mom won't scold you to learn piano or anything. Mom will love you. Mom will let you eat as much candy as you want. So ... So come back.. Stop hiding from Mom!"
She cries, curling into a ball on the floor. She is too scared. She is lost, wants to find her son and put him in her heart that he can never leave her sight. She cries, anger with heartbreak forms tears in her eyes. She should have never let him go alone.. She should have stayed with him wherever he went. She should have been there when her kid was crying. She can't help but imagine some unwanted things. She can't help but overthink, her heart is crashing.
However, while she is crying and groaning with pain and fear, her attention goes to some footsteps.
"Asher?" She hurriedly sits on the floor, wishing it was her son.
But to her horror, she finds her husband standing before her with another woman. His hand is intertwined with that woman's hand.
Her shaky body somehow pulls itself up and her eyes slowly shift on the woman's face who is staring at her with a smug look on her face. Her eyes widen in horror as she starts shaking her head.
"No Now. No. Not now! Travis! Asher! I... I can't find -!"
"I don't know what you are doing here with this pathetic self, but let's talk. I think it's time for ending things without making it hard for -!"
"IT'S NOT TIME FOR THIS!" She screams, tears streaming down her face, " It's not time for this. Our son, Asher... I can't find Asher. Where were you? I can't find Asher,!"
She chokes on her breath as she breaks down.
"What did you say?" Travis Ericson roars and grabs her hair out of sudden. However, he immediately pulls his hand away and looks at her calmly, " Where is Asher?"
Dawn shakes her head constantly as she cries. She doesn't know. She can't find her son at all.
"Answer me!!! What did you do with my son? I told you, Dawn! The only thing that you are allowed to do in this house is protect my son. How dare you losing my son? Did you hurt him because I didn't come here on our wedding anniversary? Did you hurt him to get revenge on me?" He shakes her constantly, and shouts.
"I... I didn't. I didn't hurt my son. Please... Please find him. I beg you. I can't live without him!" She cries, begging and kneeling down in front of him.
"Fuck!!! I shouldn't have trusted you with my son at all. Spring! I am sorry. But I have to find Asher!"
Travis leaves urgently, dialing the number of his friend who is a cop.
Meanwhile, Spring Clinton squats in front of Dawn who is crying constantly.
"You seem fine even after six years. I thought you would at least kill yourself!"
Dawn looks at Spring who seems to be enjoying the situation. She can't expect something wise from someone like Spring who ran away from her engagement because she wanted to have fun.
"What's with this expression? Are you looking down on me?" She grabs her hair and slaps across her face... " You seemed to have forgotten that the position you are in is my position."
"Let go!" Dawn shouts, pushing her away from her body. She hurriedly gets up and tries to enter Asher's room as she doesn't have any strength to confront Spring anything.
However, she pauses when Spring chuckles darkly... " That poor Asher. He thought he would be able to meet his father who didn't come home for two weeks. He thought he would be with his father on his birthday. He wanted to receive his father from the airport. But poor him, he didn't know his father was busy with me . He was too busy to meet his son for a while!"
Dawn slowly turns towards her, trying to understand what she just said." Asher did what?" She asks, her voice trembling.
"Are you interested?" She smirks, walking closely, "I called your son yesterday. I told him to leave the house!"
"N-No! You.. You didn't!" She mutters, trying not to choke her.
"Tsk. Tsk! That poor boy. He was so excited to meet his father!"
"N-No!!! Take it back! You didn't do anything. My son can't leave. He didn't leave. There is no recording of him leaving the house. Don't lie. Don't lie, you Bitch!" She jumps on Spring and squeezes her neck.
"My son can't leave the house. He is only four." She cries and screams.
Spring closes her eyes and laughs, "He was stupid! Like you. Poor guy. He doesn't know that his father has been cheating on his mother last four years. Do you think you were happily married? My Poor sister. He was with me. He could never forget me. He loves me. He despise you. Now you are the one who killed his son as well!"
"No! NO! GIVE ME MY SON BACK. GIVE ME MY SON BACK!! I BEG YOU! Give me my son! I beg you!"
She cries pathetically and hopelessly. She knows Spring is a Cruel woman who can kill people. She has attempted to kill Dawn a lot of times.
Spring smirks and gets closer to her ear, "He is dead. He was stuck in an old car. He is dead. There should be no one between us. Not even your son!"
Dawn's eyes widen in shock and disbelief. Dawn's vision blurs with rage. She grabs a vase, ready to smash it over Spring's head. But before she can, a brutal kick sends her crashing to the floor.
She gasps in pain, clutching her abdomen. Looking up, she sees Travis, standing with Asher in his arms. Asher's body is lifeless, cold, and pale.
She turns, as Spring getting up with tears and running towards Travis who is standing before her, with Asher." Travis! She is trying to kill me. She has lost her mind. She is accusing me of killing Asher. Don't you know how eagerly I was waiting to meet him? I thought him as my son!" She cries fakely burying her head on her palms.
"My Son!" Dawn tries to get up but unfortunately, her stomach hurts so badly that she can't.
"Don't call him your son! You vindictive Bitch!!! You killed my son. You locked him in your car! He was suffocated. He is dead!" Travis screams at her as he hugs Asher. His tears stream down his face. He thought to enjoy the birthday party with his son. But a mistake in his life has cost his son's life.
"N-No! I... I didn't. My son. Give him to me. My Asher. This bitch. This Bitch killed my son. Travis! She..."
"Enough!!!" He snarls, " I should have stopped you from conceiving that day. I should have listened to Spring's words and forced you to abort him. He deserved a mother like Spring. Not you."
Dawn's eyes are widely open and she is numb. She has been doing everything to take care of her son. Now this woman who killed her son deserves her son.
"She killed Asher. She said she told him that you would be back. She was the one who killed my son. She is the one who... Who took my son. I will kill her. I will kill this Bitch. She is murderer!!!" Dawn screams, trying to hit Spring.
"Enough! Madam!"
She pauses when Nancy suddenly shouts." Just Admit your Crime. You told him to hide inside the trunk. You told that in front of me!"
Dawn's eyes slowly shift on Nancy who is looking at her with a firm expression. Her word brings a rush of confusion as she hears her words.
"What did you just say?" She asks, her voice cracking.
"You told him to hide in the trunk until Young Master returned. You deleted all the video footage from the computer. Don't lie!"
"NANCY!!!" Dawn screams, as tears stream down her face, "Don't - Don't dare to say something horrible and cruel like this. When did I tell my son to go there? When? We both searched every single car. We found him nowhere and now you are -!" She collapses on the floor, as the cramps in her stomach get stronger.
"You, out of Everyone, accused me of killing my own son?" Dawn shouts her lung out, unable to understand why they are trying to make her a murderer of her own son.
"I don't care. I don't care what you all want to say. Just give me my son. My Asher. My Baby!" She crawls back to her husband who is crying as much as she is. But he steps back, not letting her touch him.
"Dawn Kingston! I regret marrying you that day. I always thought you were a vindictive woman who can hurt her own family. But killing your own son! How dare you!" He roars, embracing the lifeless body of Asher.
"I regret that I trusted you with my son."
"I .. I didn't. Don't... Don't say such a thing. Please give me my son! I beg you! Give me my Asher to me. He must be scared. So, give me." She clutches her belly and crawls back to him once again, " Please Travis! I beg you. Please - I... I beg you!"
However, instead of getting response from him, Dawn finds herself being pulled by her hair, "I have proof that you kept your son in the trunk. Nancy gave it to me!" Spring smirks before she looks at Travis with tearful eyes.
"What do you mean?" Travis asked,
"Nancy! Please bring it to me!"
Dawn watches Nancy taking the dash cam of her car from her pocket. She frowns confusedly since the Dash cam was stolen from her garage. Nancy told her that she found no dash cam. She had to replace the dash cam.
After handing it to Travis, Nancy looks at her, with a smirk on her face. Dawn's eyes widen in realization. She was stabbed by her trusted people. Her tears fall as she looks at Travis to understand what there is happening.
"You -!" Travis wants to curse her out but instead of that, he looks at Spring, " In his funeral, Please be his mother! I should have kicked her out the moment she gave birth of him. Spring! I am sorry for not trusting you and believing this woman!"
"Wh-What?" Dawn looks at him, in disbelief. " What did you see that you are -!?"
Travis throws the dash cam in front of her and turns towards the guard, "Lock her inside! She doesn't know who she messed with!"
Dawn silently watches the recording. Her numb and empty eyes watch the meticulous conspiracy happening before her eyes. Nancy has the same body features like hers. But she can understand by her footsteps that it's Nancy.
Tears stream down her face, as she looks at Nancy with utter betrayal. "He called you Aunt! He liked your cupcakes! How could you do it?"
Nancy looks agitated when her eyes meet Dawn's cold and empty eyes.
"How could you hurt him like this? How could you?"
She gets up, trying to throw another hit on Nancy. The losing of her son makes her realizes that she doesn't have any reason to leave. She wants to kill each of them. She wants to kill her husband, that adoptive sister and this Nanny who she trusted.
"I trusted you. My son trusted you. How could you dare to hurt my son?"
Grabbing the broken piece of vase, Dawn rushes towards Nancy.
Before Anyone can stop her, Nancy gasps as a mouthful blood comes out of her mouth.
"My Gosh!" Spring runs towards Travis and hides behind him.
"I will kill everyone whoever touched my son. Every single one!!!" She screams, her eyes are empty and numb.
"Enough!!!! Dawn! How dare you! You just killed her!"
"She deserved it!" Dawn laughs as she licks the blood on her hand, " She hurt my son! But you will never trust me. Travis! Give me my son. I will do anything. So give me my son, Okay? He must be scared. He can't stay without his Mama! Give me my son!" She begs, slowly approaching Travis.
The droplets of blood fall on the floor, painting her heartbreak.
"Travis! Do something! She will kill me. Please do something. She will hurt me!" Spring starts crying.
Dawn laughs hysterically, as she approaches, "You have been cheating on me for four years. Now you brought another woman on my son's birthday. Such a good father you are! You didn't come to meet him last few months. You visited two weeks ago without saying anything to him. Now you are saying you should have brought him with you." She laughs maniacally.
"Just admit! That Bitch who went to fuck her ex-boyfriend before your engagement is your priority. Now don't come around to show that you prioritize your son. Such a bullshit! She deserves being my son's mother? That bitch aborted three children since she was in middle school. She deserves to be a mother? How funny!"
Spring starts panicking when Dawn starts coughing out all of her secrets that she swore not to expose.
"What nonsense?!! I didn't do anything. Stop telling lies! You jealous Bitch!" Spring yells while shaking her head.
"Jealous? Haha! Yes. I am jealous." She laughs.
I am jealous that he doesn't love me despite me being around him all the time. He doesn't love me despite doing everything for him. I am jealous that your kids will have him as their father but my son cried nonstop to see his father once. I am jealous and for hurting my only child, I will kill you both!"
She snarls and runs towards Travis.
"Dawn! Stop being a madwoman and calm down. Do you want me disgrace yourself in front of Asher! I am disappointed with you." Travis said, bringing her back to her sense.
She doesn't have any plan to hurt any of them. Nancy won't die. She will just lose her consciousness because of blood loss.
She doesn't want to be a murderer in front of her son's dead body. She wants to snatch her son back to her embrace. She doesn't believe that her son is dead.
If she holds her son for once, he will wake up. He is just playing a game with her like always.
Yet, she has lost her mind. She doesn't want her son's murderer acting like his mother. She doesn't want to leave her alone. She is scared that she will lose her son forever.
So, she runs towards him, an attempt to get her son back. The love and respect she had for Travis is long gone. Now she just wants her son back to her.
"Give me my son, Travis! I will spare both of -!"
Her eyes widen in shock and a strong pain in her belly. She looks at Spring who is standing before her, stabbing one of those pieces of Vase. A wicked grin and a cruel gaze fall upon Dawn.
"I don't want to die. And you have no right to destroy the chance I finally got!"
She pushes her so strongly that, Dawn falls on the floor, the pieces of Vase piercing through her body.
The Cramp in her stomach finally releases but with something flowing out her body. She looks at the blood that spreads on the floor.
The sudden realisation stuck into her mind, she starts sobbing loudly, " My... My Baby! My Baby... No."
