Resurgence

Prologue

I entered Hecate's house to get all of my remaining clothes and items. So I can go back to Greece and fulfill my Royal Duties.

I entered her bedroom and I saw her pass out in the bed, while alcohol reeks in her. I sigh and grab a pale of warm water and cloth. I set the pale water on the floor and started wiping her forehead.

Then she murmured in her sleep,

"Agnes." And it breaks my heart again.

"Even im not the one present in your dreams."

I murmured then I hurriedly clean her and change her clothes so she can sleep peacefully. I put some Advil on the bedside table, along with my engagement ring and a letter.

Then I pack my things and silently, leaving the house.

My tears started to fall from my eyes.

"You will always be the love of my Life Hecate," I whispered at the wind and left.

I woke up with a massive headache, I look to the side and I saw some Advil, with a ring and note.

My tears started to fall again when I realized who's ring it is.

Hestia.

I fucked up so bad, that I wanna strangle myself. I didn't what came over me that I slept with my ex-wife.

I took the ring and clench it on my hands and broke down into tears.

"Hestia im sorry. Please love im sorry."

I opened the letter and started reading it.

"To my beloved Hecate, I made this letter because I'm not strong enough to face you and talk to you. This letter will be the last thing you'll receive from me. I love you so much Hecate that im willing to let you go so you can be free.

Free to love your wife again, free to take her back into your life again.

Thank you for loving me and making me happy. Thank you for introducing me to love and pain. Maybe in another life, we could be happy.

Let's just move on with our lives so the both of us can be happy.

You are the love of my life Hecate, but I'm not yours.

Goodbye my beloved Hecate, and remember that you will always be the love of my life."

Tears streamed from my eyes, never leaving because of the pain in my chest.

"Hestia!!! I'm sorry, please... I love you... Please, im sorry, come back... Please love, come back to me."

As I'm holding her letter and ring close to my chest.

Chapter 1

Hestia.

In a few weeks, I'll be marrying the Love of my life. I'm here right now at Hecate's office, I want to surprise her.

I entered the elevator and after a few minutes im in Hecate's office floor. Her secretary is out.

As I opened the door, and the scene in front of me is killing me. Tears started to fall from my eyes. I can't believe what is happening in front of me.

Hecate is having sex with her ex-wife on her desk.

"He-Hecate??" I called out her name and she looks up at me with a shock in her eyes.

I wanna lash out, I wanna scream, I want to hurt them. But I can't, why is it I can't bring myself to hurt them?? So I just left.

I immediately left the place, and I can hear Hecate calling my name.

Why Hecate???!!

Am I not good enough for you?? As tears started to swell in my eyes.

You said you've had moved on from her.

I drove back to my private place, I can hear my phone ringing and I just ignored it.

After driving for 30 minutes, I just arrived at my secluded/private home. I entered the house and broke down into tears.

I pull myself up and took my phone and I can see some messages and missed calls from Hecate.

"Hestia im sorry, please let me explain."

"Hestia, please let me explain."

I blocked her number from my phone and took my engagement ring off of my finger.

There's no point in wearing this if you'll just break your promise.

Then I called my Father.

"Hello, who is this??" I can hear my father's regal tone.

I broke down crying,

"Pa-papa it's me. It's Katana."

"MY PRINCESS!! Are you crying??"

"Papa, thélo na páo spíti."

( I wanna go home.)

"thélo na páo spíti Papa." I keep crying and begging to go home.

"Prinkípissa papa will be there soon. Don't worry."

Hecate.

I just arrived at Amelia's place right now, I immediately knock on her door panicking.

Amelia opened the door.

"Who the fucking fuck is-"

"Help me please, I fucked up so much. I-i can't l-lose her." My voice started to crack as my tears started to fall from my eyes.

She let me in.

"What the fuck happened??" She said with a worried tone.

"I fucked up big time, X please help me find her... Please I can't lose Hestia." My body is trembling in fear of losing Hestia.

I sat on the couch, while my feet is tapping anxiously against the floor. Amelia hands me a glass of whiskey, I immediately chug it down. Amelia took her laptop and joined me on the couch.

"What the fuck happened fucker???" Amelia said while typing furiously against the Keyboard.

I shook my head, as I remembered Hestia's broken face at my office.

After a few minutes, I finally replied.

"I fucked up X, she... Sh-she caught me sleeping with my ex-wife."

Amelia immediately stops on what she's doing and looks at me coldly.

"Why on God's name would you fucking do that??? Give me one good fucking reason why I should help you After learning the shit you did??" She hissed.

"I know I fucked up X, please I can't lose her. I made a huge mistake, please X I beg you help me find her. I know I fucked up but I wanna be with her." I started to get down on my knees and beg.

"Please help me, im begging you to help me." As my tears started to fall from my eyes.

"I can't lose her X, I can't. Please... I beg you... Help me..."

I heard Amelia sigh. And returned to her laptop. I went back to my seat and drink more whiskey.

"I called Katya and Lilith, they'll be here keeping you company while I find her."

After a few minutes, Katya and Lilith showed up, with booze.

"What's up mf?? I bought Tequila." Katya said.

I didn't reply, I just took the whole bottle from her and chug it down.

"Woah what's up with her??" Lilith asked.

I didn't answer and kept drinking the tequila. Amelia sighs and answered for me.

"The mf slept with her bitch ex-wife and Hestia caught them. Now im working my ass off to find her. You two keep her company while I work."

Then Amelia left and go to her office for privacy. While both Lilith and Katya sit and grab the tequila.

"What the fucking fuck was wrong with you??? Agnes stole from you and almost ruined your career and business." Lilith exclaimed.

"It was a mistake, Agnes came to me in my office crying and begging for help. I was in the middle of comforting and soothing her to calm down when she kissed me. Then it's just I got carried away. Then Hestia saw us and just left." As I tear up seeing Hestia's broken expression.

"Where's Hestia now???" Katya asks.

"I... I don't know... She just left..." As my voice started to shake. "She won't... Accept my calls... Or texts... She's not in her house... I don't know where she is." I sigh then spoke again

"I don't wanna lose Hestia, we're gonna get married soon, I don't wanna lose her. I love her so so so much."

"Hey, Amelia is doing everything to find Hestia," Lilith said trying to comfort me.

I didn't answer, I just buried my face against my both hands and murmured.

"Please, Hestia come back... I love you, please come back... I'm sorry love... I'm sorry."

Lilith and Katya patted my shoulder for comfort as I broke down in tears.

Hestia

I took my burner phone to call Nyx. I know Hecate is tracking me right now and I don't wanna face her yet.

After a few rings, Nyx answered the call.

"Hello, who is this??" Nyx said.

"Hey Nyx, it's me... It's Katana." As I reply in a weak voice.

"Katana??!! Are you ok??" She said with a worried tone.

"Nyx it hurts... Please... Make i-it stop..." As I broke down in tears again.

"Katana where are you??" I can hear rustling on the other end of the line.

I gave her my address.

"Does your house has a Helipad???" Nyx asks.

"Yes," I replied weakly.

"I'll be there in a few minutes." Then Nyx Ended the call and lay on my bed. Trying to stop my tears from falling in my eyes.

"What did I do wrong??" I questioned but no one answered.

After a few minutes, I can hear a Helicopter sound from my room. I'm guessing it's Nyx. I immediately went over to the rooftop and I can see Nyx getting off of her Airbus H225 Super Puma helicopter.

I immediately run towards her and hugged her then broke down crying again.

"Hey, Katana im here it's ok. I'm here it's ok." Nyx soothed my hair calming me down.

We went inside, my house, Nyx made me some hot chocolate for comfort.

We're sitting on the sofa, as I tear up.

"Hey Katana, what happened??"

Then my tears started to stream from my eyes again.

"Sh-she cheated o-on me Nyx. I c-caught them having s-sex on her office." My voice started to crack as I remembered the scene from Hecate's office.

"WHAT??!! WITH WHO??!!" Nyx hissed.

"Her ex-wife." Then I set the mug down at the table as I sob.

"Nyx we're gonna get married. We're gonna be happy. What did I do wrong???"

"Am I not enough??! Nyx I tried... I d-did everything to support a-and love h-her." As the pain in my chest intensified.

Nyx didn't say anything, she just hold me as I broke down.

Nyx is my childhood friend and now we're close friends. She's the daughter of the most wealthy man in the whole world. And also her mother was of Romanov descent a royal family in Russia.

Nyx

Hestia has just fallen asleep, while she broke down crying. God, seeing the pain in her eyes is scary. I carried her to the bedroom and lay her on the bed. I sat beside her, then I saw her engagement ring on the bedside table.

God, why did you do that Hecate???

Then I saw a tear falling from her eyes. Damn even in her sleep she's in pain. Then she murmured.

"Hecate"

I just sigh, God this is why love is scary. I left her room and went to the kitchen so I can make some simple food for her. God, I hope she's having a peaceful sleep right now.

Hestia

I didn't realize that I have fallen asleep. I woke up with a massive headache, maybe because I've been crying nonstop this morning. Then I remembered what happened this morning and pain started to creep into my heart again.

I sigh and left my room to find Nyx, then I saw her sitting on the table. With some food on the table.

I can hear my stomach growling.

I set some food down at my plate and started eating along with Nyx.

Then she spoke again.

"So what are you gonna do now??" She asks.

I sigh and reply.

"I'll go back to Greece."

Hestia

"I'm going back to Greece and start fulfilling my royal duties," I said weakly to Nyx.

"Are gonna talk to Hecate before you leave???" She asks softly.

I shook my head as a tear falls from my eyes after hearing her name.

"I can't face her, Nyx. I don't have the strength to face her right now." I said weekly.

"But you have to talk to her Katana, she's still your fiancee and you deserve to hear the explanation for the sake of your sanity," NYC exclaimed.

"Nyx, if I saw her again I'll just hurt myself." A tear fall from my eyes.

Hecate

I'm here at my house right now, drinking every ounce of liquor that I could find.

Amelia couldn't find Hestia no matter how hard she tries. God why the fucking fuck did I hurt her?

I wanna beat myself up for hurting Hestia.

I walk towards my closet and Hestia's clothes were still there. I took one of her dresses and wrap my arms around it.

My tears started to stream from my eyes.

"Love, please where are you?? Love, please im sorry, please come back to me. Hestia..." As I muttered against her dress.

I close my eyes and started remembering the day we got engaged.

//flashback//

I took Hestia's hand and kneel on one knee.

"Hecate..." She gasped.

"Hestia love, you've been my number one supporter and cheerleader. You made me feel happy, love, and special. You are my light through my dark times, you help me get through to the toughest moments of my life. Now I promise to cherish and never hurt you. Promise to love you until our hair turns gray. Hestia Katana Astaril will you marry me??" I asked her.

Seconds seem like forever as I'm waiting for her to answer.

She nods, while happy tears fall from her eyes.

"Yes Hecate, I'll marry you." I slip the ring into her finger, stand up and capture her lips into a sweet kiss.

"Thank you, God I love you so much," I whispered as I wipe her tears from her cheeks.

"No thank you, and I love you too Hecate. So so much."

//End of Flashback//

I plop down the bed and started remembering our after sex cuddles and how many times I took her in my bed.

My tears fall from my eyes, regretting the stupidity of my actions. If this pain is the consequence of my actions then ill gladly accept it. But please God, don't take Hestia away from me.

As I hold her dress close to my chest. And pray.

"Please... God don't take Hestia away from me. I know I made a mistake, but please don't let her leave me." As my tears stream from my eyes never leaving, as I cradle Hestia's dress taking in her scent.

Hestia

Nyx just left because she has a photoshoot today. And I got a call from my father that he's on the way.

After a couple of minutes of waiting, the royal guards entered my house, along with my father.

I immediately run towards my father and embrace him.

"Papa, thélo na páo spíti."

(I wanna go home) as I sob and cling onto my father.

"It's ok my Princess. We'll go home and I promise you, I won't let anyone make you cry ever again." As my father soothed my back.

"Was I'm not good enough papa?? What did I do wrong papa??" I asked.

He framed my face against his hands.

"Listen here my Princess, you didn't do anything wrong ok. And never question yourself ok, you are the Princess of Greece. Papa will make sure that you won't cry again."

I nodded and cling to my father.

I hang on to him for a couple of minutes, he spoke again.

"Grab your stuff, my Princess, we'll go back to Greece."

I nodded.

I'm here at the mall right now, buying something for my trip to Greece. And my royal guards are back.

I'm wearing a pink high-waisted skirt, match with a white crop top, complete with a pink crop blazer and white stiletto. People keep staring at me because im heavily guarded.

I was about to enter a boutique when someone block my path. And it's Agnes. I just sigh and looked at her coldly and say.

"What??"

"Oh, nothing I just wanna see your broken and pathetic self." She said smirking.

My guards were about to grab her and distance her from me when I gestured to them not to.

"Ohhh and what's this?? Since when did you have bodyguards loser??" She said, eyeing my bodyguards from head to toe.

"You call me a loser when you are a whore." I can see she's fuming mad. I chuckled lightly and spoke again.

"You're a pathetic bitch who sleeps with everyone for money, and you dare to call me a loser."

Without any hesitation, she slaps me across the face. My guards seize her when she screams.

"You're a loser and a nobody, Hestia!!" She screams while my guards are restricting her.

I gestured them to stop and they stop, then I face her.

"I am Princess Hestia Katana Astaril, heir to the throne of the house Astaril in Greece, and you call me a nobody." I shook my head and I can see the shock on her face.

I look at my guards and say,

"Get her away from my sight." And they nodded.

Hecate

I was awoken by the sound of my phone and someone is calling me. I look to see who's calling and im hoping that it's Hestia. I sigh when I saw the caller is, it's Lilith.

"What do you want??" I said, tiredly.

"Agnes slapped Hestia at my mall, a couple of minutes, ago. Now go, and pray that she's still there."

I immediately jump, upon hearing Hestia's name.

"Where mf??!!" I immediately put on some fresh clothes and run towards my car.

"South branch, now hurry and go, don't mess up this time mf." Then she hangs up the call.

I furiously drove my Cadillac to Lilith's south branch mall.

I parked my car and run inside the mall. Fuck it, this is a huge mall.

With desperation,

I shouted her name.

"HESTIA!!!" Then everyone's eyes are on me. But I don't care, as long as I see Hestia.

"HESTIA!!! PLEASE LOVE!!!" as I begged in my plea.

The people around me are staring at me, murmuring.

But I don't care if it's embarrassing, If it's the only way to see Hestia, then I'll gladly embarrass myself in front of these people.

"HESTIA!!! LOVE!!!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.

Then someone grabbed my shoulder. I immediately look to see who it is, hoping that it's Hestia. But it's not Hestia, it's Agnes.

I took her hands off of my shoulder and ignored her,

"She's gone Hecate," Agnes said, with a sound of victory in her tone.

"No, she's not gonna leave me, we'll gonna get married next week..." Panic and fear fill my body.

Agnes wrapped her arms around me and say,

"She's gone Hecate, she's not coming back. Come back to me Hecate, please choose me instead, please let's start-"

I didn't let her finish her sentence and push her away from me. I can't believe she'd say that after the hell she put me through.

"How the fucking fuck can you say that after the shit I went through because of you?? And now I'm in pain and Hestia is in pain because of you." Tears started to fall from my eyes, because of pain and anger.

I turn my back on her and started looking for Hestia.

But she stopped me, as she wrapped her arms around my waist tightly.

"Hecate I'm sorry, please forget about her, choose me instead. Please Hecate... I've made a mistake before, and I'm sorry."

I took her arms off of my body and left.

Hestia

I'm here in my room right now, sulking. Tomorrow I'll be leaving New York and going back to Greece and start fulfilling my Royal Duties.

Tears started to fall from my eyes remembering that I'll never see Hecate again. I took my engagement ring and started staring at it. Then I remembered our sweet moments together,

//flashback//

I just woke and I can feel Hecate's body is pressed against my naked body.

I can see she's sleeping peacefully against my body.

I poke her cheeks gently and laugh a little. Then after a few minutes, she smiled.

"Good morning love." She said with a sleepy tone.

"Good morning to you too my love." I bent to give her a soft kiss then spoke again.

"Sleep a little more love, while I'll us some breakfast," I said soothingly.

"But I wanna sleep against your warm body." She said in a childlike voice.

I laugh and pinch her nose slightly.

"Don't worry, I'll be back in a minute." Then drop and soft kiss into her lips.

"Ok, but hurry cause I wanna cuddle." Then she pouts.

I laugh and kissed her lips, then got out of the bed naked.
