When all boys died in the world and he is the only man alive, he started running away from everyone. But what if he founds out that he is somewhat connected to the Human Male extinction in the world?

Chapter 1 1

Kristoff's POV:

"A-Ash, wait for me! Since when did you become a great runner!? You ran so fast today!" I shouted at her.

Ash and I ran away from the creature. I'm exhausted, and Ash is still screaming. She looks so scared that you'd mistake her for a madman. She just screamed and screamed, and if there was an enemy here, I hoped they wouldn't hear us; we'd be dead for sure.

Because of my tiredness, I was out of balance while running and fell to the floor. No voice came out of my mouth when my crotch hit the branch. My world suddenly stopped because of the event. My throat ran dry.

I almost cried from the pain and held my breath. I saw Ash stop running and look at me. She was still sweating.

Suddenly, I felt a soft fang bite into my leg. Ash laughed at the same time. How does she find my situation funny when our future kids are at risk!?

"Jusko, it turns out we ran from a dog! You're a coward, Kristoff!" Ash teased and walked towards me.

"Hey, you're the one who ran so fast. "You're almost flying with your speed," I teased Ash.

I still stutter because of the pain. I stood up when I felt the pain disappear. Maybe later, because of my stupidity, my sperm will sulk and not give me a child. Please, don't let that happen. My future offspring will surely be beautiful, and it would be a shame if it could not be propagated.

This shih tzu is barking at me. Ash lifted the dog in her arms and ran her fingers through its white fur. Its fur is long, and its body is muddy. It seems to have been here for a long time. Couldn't there be someone else here?

I just laughed and massaged this dog's side. It's beautiful, and it's a pet. The dog is also female and still has a collar that has not been removed. This dog's name is Kaleb; it sounds like an Arabic sound. After all, we are close to Oman.

"Ash, do you think there is someone here?" I asked.

"I don't know, Kristoff. But based on this dog, it looks like someone is here. It's obvious that Kalab is a pet dog, but it's surprising how he ended up here," Ash said.

"Could it be a plane crash or a ship sink? Dogs are good swimmers, so that's not surprising. Besides, it looks like he hasn't eaten in a long time. Kaleb is losing weight," I said.

"Maybe, but now we need to find out everything. Maybe there is someone here who can help us, or maybe it is the enemy. We have to prepare. We still have to be careful because we are still not far from the enemy. They are just around, scouting. If not here on the island, they're probably on the ground," said Ash.

We agreed to pick up a sharp branch and a rock so that we would at least have protection. I saw Kalab suddenly run when Ash put her on the ground, so we both cursed. Here we go again!

"Kaleb, come back here! Let's chase it, Kristoff!" Ash shouted.

We chased the dog, but it just ran. We screamed, but Kaleb didn't care. Could it be that she doesn't understand our language? Maybe this dog is foreign?

"Hey Kalab, stop! Sit!" I shouted.

I was amazed when Kalab sat down and faced us. Her tongue is still hanging out and condemning us. This dog understands English!

"Ash, you're in awe of me again. It turns out that Kaleb understands English. I'm such an amazing man," I boasted.

"Look there; you're boasting again. Kaleb stopped right when you screamed because we're already here," Ash said and pointed to something in the distance.

I slapped her hand, so Ash whined. She widened her eyes at me, so I shook my head.

"You shouldn't just point your finger anywhere in the middle of the woods; encantos might follow you. Bite your finger and then spit on the ground," I said.

Ash looked at my foot as I stepped onto the ground. She did what I said. It is said that pointing is bad.

"Is that true? You're just scaring me," Ash said.

"Find out for yourself if you wish," I teased her, so Ash shouted.

"Oh no! Don't scare me with that!"

I turned back to what Ash pointed at me earlier and secretly celebrated. It is a wooden house. It was dark inside, and there seemed to be no light. It is also small. This wooden house seems to have been abandoned for a long time.

We went inside, and Kalab went first. There is no one here, and it is already dusty. Maybe that's why Kalab is thin-no one has taken care of her for a long time. It's obvious.

We toured this small house. I saw a lamp on the side and a match. I immediately turned on the light, so I held my breath because we had a light. Finally, we have a sane place to stay.

"Kristoff, come here quickly!" I heard Ash shout.

I quickly went to where she was. I was also able to say yes because there were boxes of instant noodles. There is also a lot of other food and water. These will also expire soon. Others have faded packaging. The important thing is that it has not expired.

"It looks like someone lived here before. What happened to the person who lived here? Why did he leave Kaleb?" asked Ash.

"I don't know. But the first thing we need to do now is eat. I'm hungry, and my stomach is boiling," I said.

"Alright, I'm going to cook first because I saw a stove earlier. Go around here first, and maybe we'll find someone who can help us," Ash said, so I nodded in response.

She went to the small kitchen, and I walked around the small house. Kaleb was still tailing me, so I knelt to quickly ruffle her soft fur. This dog is cute. Kaleb seems to be trained.

I passed a small door-a knee-length door. What is this, Kalab's house? Is he staying here? It's cool. Good thing this dog has a room of her own.

I kneeled and inspected the door. I tried to push it, but it seemed to be locked from the inside. I stood up again and scratched my head.

If this is only Kalab's room, I shouldn't waste any more energy. What can I find in the dog's bed? A poop?

I saw a nail scattered on the floor, so I picked it up. I stuffed it under the crack of the door and dropped it.

I listened to the nail to see how long it would take to fall and how loud it sounded. In my calculation, this is not Kalab's room because the nail dropped too deeply. Maybe it's a hidden room. I can finally do something.

I went to the kitchen to peek at Ash and tell her what I discovered. Suddenly, my tongue was torn when I saw that she was busy cooking. I'll go first, and I'll tell her later.

I just took my bolo and went back to the small door. I made Kalab sit at a distance, and she followed. Kalab is smart.

I stuck my bolo hard into the side of the door to break the hinge. It was destroyed, and the nails were removed.

The small door fell, and a dark and deep room greeted me. I even coughed because of the dust here. There are also spider webs.

I went back to the kitchen and took Ash's lamp. She just stared at me and rolled her eyes. She didn't ask what it was for because she was busy opening the can. I'll bother her later.

After I returned to the room, I tied the lamp around my waist. I also took off my T-shirt and tied it around my face. I don't have a face mask; I will use it to protect my nose and face from dust. I don't want to sneeze.

I peeked downstairs, and it was a small room. I wasn't mistaken. I still need to go down this bamboo ladder to see what's in the room. Because the lamp I'm holding doesn't reach the bottom.

I went down the bamboo stairs. It's just attached to the wall, and it looks like if you step on it for a long time, it will collapse. It's even scary to step on because it seems to be softer than Ash's bones. If that girl could read the contents of my brain, she'd probably kill me. I just shook my head.

I smiled and got down. Thinking of Ash made me lose my nervousness. That stunted woman had a different effect on me.

I placed the lamp I had on the table. I saw a generator on the side, so I turned it on.

The surroundings were lit, so I was relieved. That's how amazed I am down here because this room is filled with paper. It looks like I can discover a lot here. I hope it's good news. This might turn out to be the enemy's fortress, but hopefully not.

There are cabinets with only folders that are rusted. It also has a PC set and a bulletin board with pinned areas. There are also people's names that I don't recognize. The only one familiar to me is the name Rosales.

I sat on the side seat, so I looked over there. A journal with a photo of an Arab woman wearing an umbrella and the puppy Kalab caught my eye. Maybe that woman is her owner.

I took it and opened it. There are dates and data written in the journal that I can't understand because it was written in a different language. I can only read English.

"January 29..." I read on the first page of this journal.

Five years have passed since its first entry. What is the content of this journal? Will it help us on our journey, or will it do us no good?

Chapter 2 2

Kristoff's POV:

I have been reading this journal for almost two hours. I only understood the first page properly, while the last page was barely understood. Almost all the rest are written in other languages. Three different languages were used when it was being written.

Its owner looks smart, I think. Did he change the language of his journal to three different languages so that others could not understand it?

All I understood was that this journal was about a trip and the study of the owner. Its owner was only a young woman when she landed here on this island with her parents. Both her parents are geologists and historians, and they study this island and other places.

I also read that the girl studied geology and continued the research her parents were doing. I don't even know what kind of research this is because the subsequent entries are already written in Arabic. They seem to be scientists who used to live here.

"Kristoff, where are you? Have you left me? Hey, come out! You're scaring me! Don't put a joke on me now, and I'll kill you!"

I heard Ash's screams upstairs, so I dropped the journal and put it on the table. I will eat first before continuing to read this. I can also understand it better when I'm no longer starving. I will bring Ash here later because she might be able to use something to get us off the island. We will also know more if the two of us help each other look for something useful.

I went up the bamboo ladder again, but I didn't bring the lamp. There is already a light because of the generator. It was just dark downstairs earlier.

When I came up, I got out of this small hole. Why is it so small? Tall people like me don't fit in. I don't know if it was custom-made. Foreigners, even Arabs, are big people. How will those who used to live here fit in there?

I saw Ash with her back turned, so I surprised her. I almost fainted when she hit me with a spoon. Tsk, really surprised.

"Shut up, Kristoff! I thought you had left me! Then you have the guts to fool around; it's a good thing I didn't have a knife in my hand. I might have stabbed you by now," Ash shouted and hugged me.

I laughed at her reaction. I hugged Ash back and kissed the top of her head before letting go. Ash is worried about me. I felt a thrill.

"Did you find something? Where did you go? I guess you've been wandering around; you might get bitten by a python," Ash asked me.

I pointed to the small door I came out of earlier. Her eyes widened while looking at it. She didn't see that. After all, you won't notice it at first.

"Wow, what's in there? I didn't notice that; you're so brilliant. Is there any information or map that can help us get out of here? What did you see inside? Are there pythons and insects?" asked Ash.

"There's a lot of information in the piles and piles of folders. I also found a journal that I think belonged to Kalab's owner, a female geologist. It's still a mystery what happened to her," I explained.

"Alright, let's deal with that later, and let's eat first. I cooked canned food. That's perfect, and we're hungry," said Ash.

"You found something to sauté it with?" I have a question.

"Nah, it's just oil. I just called it that way," she said and started walking. I just shook my head.

We both went to the kitchen and ate. It turned out that she had cooked corned beef earlier. I enjoyed the food, even if we didn't have rice. I think she cooked five cans right away. We are very hungry. Ash and I deserve to be full.

After we ate, Ash and I started burping together. I was so full that I couldn't move. I might vomit from being so full.

I looked at the ceiling and thought. Could you believe that we've come this far?

We are close to Oman, which we are aiming to visit. But then, we've lost a friend, and Olivia and Cassandra are missing. Add to that Kalab's mysterious owner, who goes missing. She will surely help us. What happened to Aya was painful, but there was nothing we could do but accept it. I hope Aya is happy wherever she is now.

"Pst, Kristoff. Why do you seem so deep in your thoughts?"

I looked up at Ash when she called me. I bit my lip and held back a smile because this one was really beautiful. I think she is blooming now.

Her cheeks were red, probably because of the heat. Add to that, even though she is thin, her cheeks are fluffy. Ash's face is fun to squish. Babyface, I wish I was too.

"Oh, don't look at me. What are you thinking?" She asked shyly and covered her cheek.

I laughed and approached Ash. I removed her hand from her face and pulled her to sit next to me. My position was on Ash's side, while she was by my side.

"Nothing; I was just thinking about the things that we've been through. Can you believe it? I was just imprisoned, and then this is what I'm going to find out. In just a few weeks, the people in the whole world have almost run out. I might be the only one-the only man left alive in the world. It's a good thing I met you, or I might be dead by now," I said while looking straight at Ash.

I could feel Ash rubbing my back and hugging me. I thought she was just comforting me, but later I heard her sobbing.

"Oh, why are you crying? Ash, I'm worried for you. What's the problem? Forget about what's going on between us; I'm just your friend right now. You can tell me about the problems," I said, kissing her temple.

"Is there something between the two of us?" she asked suddenly, pulling away from my hug.

I pretended to be hurt and held my heart right where it was. I even pretended to die. But that hurts. He is being straight to the point.

"Ouch! You hurt my feelings, Ash," I joked.

"I'll dump you. You're always doing perverted things to me! Oh, Kristoff!" Ash said that and wiped away a tear.

I held Ash's face and wiped her tears. Ash snorted, so I pinched her nose.

"Why are you crying? Tell me."

I felt something rubbing my leg, so I looked at it. It was Kaleb who was jumping at me.

I hugged Kalab on my thigh and turned my gaze to Ash, who was sitting next to me. She sighed and raised the sleeves of her clothes. It's hot in here; there is no electric fan.

"U-Uh, because Kristoff..." Ash said, crying.

"Oh, why?" I'm worried about the question.

"L-Lilly and your siblings! I'm so worried for them! Add to that the fact that O-Olivia and Cassandra are missing! Oh, Kristoff, there's nothing we can do!! Ash cried at me.

Kaleb frowned and moved to Ash's thigh. I also approached Ash and hugged him. I even stroked her back so that the stunted woman would settle down.

I also admitted to myself that I couldn't do anything. I just didn't think much about it because Ash would only be counting on me. If I have an emotional breakdown, it will not be good for us. Also, add that my two siblings were missing; several people have given their lives for us; and I might be the last man alive in the world. I hope my siblings are okay. They are strong; I know those two will be alright.

I was scared; I admit that. I'm a man, but it's natural for humans to be afraid. I fear for the lives of our siblings and our own.

lives, and my fate. I don't know that maybe when I step outside this island, the horrible thing I experienced before in the Rogue camp will happen again. I can't handle it; maybe later I'll give up, but I know someone is still counting on me.

I can feel that Ash is slowly settling in. I was just wiped out because of a single tear that escaped my eye. Luckily, I wiped it off before Ash looked up. I don't want him to see me cry. Ash is guaranteed to be even sadder.

"Are you alright?" I will ask.

"Yes, I'm feeling better. Thank you," Ash said, smiling at me.

It was a bit awkward, so Ash and I stood up. I was about to go back to the room I was in earlier, but she poked me.

"Why?" I will ask.

"Kristoff, do you remember what I told you about the information I hacked at DHWO? Maybe that will help us," replied Ash.

Chapter 3 3

My eyes widened. That's it! If I had remembered and asked Ash earlier, we might have had a lead right now!

"Alright, let's talk about that. What do you know about DHWO?" I ask seriously.

"DHWO is looking for a geologist. She is one of the members and head of the team that studies ancient artifacts. I remember her name is: "

Ash suddenly stopped talking when we heard a sound. We both frowned and searched for where it was coming from.

"Kristoff, are you hungry?" asked Ash.

"We just ate! That's where it's coming from," I said, tracing the source of the sound.

Ash and I walked, and our feet took us to the lower room. We looked at each other and decided to go down.

Ash went first, and I followed. When we stepped into the room, she was amazed.

"Wow! There are so many papers and things here," she said in amazement.

Ash looked around while I searched for the source of the sound. I saw what looked like a radio with a small screen.

There is a red dot there that blinks, and it is also here that the sound gets better. I looked at where I got it, and that gave me cold feet.

It turned out to be charged because of my live generator. Shit, it's a tracking device! I'm stupid! I should have thought there might be something like this!

When I turned around, Ash suddenly disappeared. I looked for her, but I was about to turn around when someone pointed a knife at my neck.

"Min 'ant!? / Who are you!?"

Kristoff's POV:

I froze in my place because of the shock. It's a woman's voice, and I'm stronger than her. I can fight her if she does something bad. I just hope it's not a bunch of people; I'm sure I won't miss it.

I was about to turn to her, but she deepened the knife on my neck. I just cursed because I felt it sink in a little. It hurt, and it was obvious that this woman was not joking when she tried to cut my throat.

"Don't move! I can slit your throat!" screamed this girl who held me captive.

She can speak English. This one seems to be multilingual, so I have an idea. Couldn't she be Kalab's boss? It's possible because she knows different languages and she's here!

"I mean no harm, promise! We crashed on this island, and then we found this small cottage house! We just planned to stay for a while, and that's all," I defended while raising my hand.

"Then prove it!" screamed this woman.

"The girl with me, Ash, is her name. She was with me after our plane crashed. We also have two missing friends named Olivia and Cassandra.

I hadn't finished speaking when she let me go. I breathed a sigh of relief and touched my neck wound. When I looked at my finger, there was a little blood on it. Fortunately, she didn't kill me.

"Let's go. I am helping you get the fuck out of here. But help me first in bringing all of these fucking files," said the woman, who took some papers from the drawer.

She ordered me to bring some, so I took them. Maybe if I don't do what she says, she will stab me all of a sudden. I still have to be alert to her actions.

While I was getting the papers, I stared at this woman. She is not an American woman.

She has Arabian features. Her nose is pointed, and her eyes are deep, like those of Arabians. She is also tall, reaches under my chin, and has a slender body. She looks a few years older than me. It is also evident in her voice and movements.

"What are you looking at?" she asked flatly.

"Nothing; you just look familiar. Have we met before?" I wondered.

"Shut the fuck up and walk your ass. I don't have time for chit-chats," she said, rolling her eyes at me.

She walked first and pressed something under the table. I stared in amazement when the wall opened and a long pathway appeared. Seriously, this cottage is so unique. In Russian movies, it seems like there is an underground passage. I feel like I'm in a movie again.

"Where is Ash? We need to get her."

"Shut the fuck up and walk. She's with my friend at the end of this sh*t," this woman said irritably.

I just kept quiet because she looked like she was in a bad mood. She's like the foreign version of Olivia, but hotter. It seems that Olivia is just about to rip, and this girl is fully ripped.

We got out at the end of the tunnel, and a submarine greeted us. I was amazed and stared at it. Awesome; it's my first time seeing something like that.

"Are you coming or what?" This woman grabbed my attention.

I immediately followed her and went down the door of this submarine. When I got off, I was amazed at the advancement of their technology. I thought it could only be seen in action movies. It also exists in real life and is not only used by soldiers; we can also use it now.

"Kristoff!"

I heard Ash yell, and suddenly someone hugged me from behind. I put down the papers I was holding on the side and hugged her back. Hey, it's a good thing we're off the island now. Fortunately, we are safe now for the time being.

"We are safe. That woman is Kalab's owner. She will help us get out of here," Ash whispered to me.

I was staring at the woman, who seemed to be carrying the whole world. She hugged Kalab while crying.

"Wow! Kristoff and Ash, how are you? It seems that Ate Olivia and I have missed a lot of news," said a familiar voice.

I turned around and saw Cassandra eating an apple. Ash and I approached her, and I messed her hair.

I can now be at ease. They were safe. But where is Olivia?

"You're frowning, brother. Are you looking for Ate Olivia? She hasn't woken up yet, and she was left behind in their camp. We're lucky because they saw us. After all, if not, Ate Olivia and I would have had our heads cut off. It's good that we saw you, too. If not, in a few weeks, you might be dead there from hunger," said Cassandra.

Ash let go of my hug. She smiled at me and laughed.

"Wait, where is Aya?" Cassandra asked.

We sadly told the story of Aya's bitter fate. We prepared ourselves because we were going to cry again. We tried to make the atmosphere happy.

We talked again and avoided sad things. We might be discouraged even more.

"It's a good thing you revived the generator. They'd been looking for this island for a long time, but they just couldn't find it. Kalab needed to be rescued. It's said that Akila went too far and couldn't come back. This was the first time again," explained Ash.

"I knew that woman was familiar; she was the one in the journal with Kaleb. Why is she so hot-tempered? It's like she was born out of resentment," I asked.

"Kristoff, she understands you."

"Hey, what did you say!? Do you want me to feed you to the sharks!? You fucking asshole!" Kalab's owner shouted.

I was shocked, and she suddenly threw an apple at me. It hit me in the nose, so I massaged it. Shit, what a sadist! She knows how to speak English; we even spoke English earlier!

"Sorry," I said, and I gave the peace sign.

This woman, Akila, appeared and approached us. She handed Kalab to Ash and extended his hand in front of me.

"I am Akila Jazmin Rana, or Akila for short. I can understand English, Arabic, Filipino, Russian, Nihongo, Mandarin, and German, so I understand you. And for your information, I was not conceived out of spite. I'm just really not in the mood, and you add up to it," Akila introduced, and I squeezed my hand violently before letting go.

This sadistic girl, tsk. How is Olivia now? I hope she is fine. Pitiful Amazona woman if she stays bedridden. She is brave; she will get better soon.

"Kristoff, listen. Akila is going to explain something to us," Ash whispered to me, so I nodded.

We sat at a round table and were handed papers by Akila. It seems to be more important. There is even a projector behind her, and it looks like there is a presentation. Has she done something like that on this day? Amazing.

"I am a geologist who studies land around the world. I am the leader of our research team. I will continue the study that my parents started," she explained.

"Where are your parents?" asked Ash.

"They were murdered. The government we lived under did not want the research my parents were doing. I am an Egyptian citizen, and so are my parents. I grew up loving our ancient history because of its beautiful treasures. But then, someone thought that we were making a threat. And because of that, that bitch, Phoebe Rosales, murdered my parents. It is said to be a threat to the whole world," said Akila angrily.
