Would you like to be my wedded wife?

Chapter 1 You Don't Know I'm the Kid's Dad

"Boss, look." Jack Lance rushed in the office with a laptop in his hand and put it in front of a man who buried himself in files.

The screen was showing the exits of the airport blocked by journalists. The headline was striking: The Comeback of North City Empire Boss Noah Duncan's Ex-Wife and Her Son...

Ex-wife? Comeback with her son?

While the man kept his head low, the corners of his mouth curved up involuntarily.

In the past five years, he had known about her whereabouts and her giving birth to a child. But not until today, he didn't know that the child was his seed.

"Boss, this is little boss." The child was like a mini version of this man. At a glance, people would know that they were father and son.

Noah raised his head, his gaze still on the screen because next to the headline of the video was a close-up shot. The figures in it were none other than Isabella Eddings and their son.

"I'm not blind." Isabella, were you so disdainful to talk with me? Even when you were pregnant, you didn't bother to tell me that the child was my seed and let me misunderstand, did you?

"Boss, the media is splashing it all over the headlines..." Jack halted in his speech because he knew that the man already got his meaning.

"Go to the airport." Noah could tell that the video was broadcast live. Trapped at the airport, the mother and son couldn't get out any time soon.

It was going to snow. As far as he could remember, the woman couldn't bear coldness.

More importantly, he knew that when Isabella came back with the child this time, she would become the target of many people.

"Yes, sir."

Just like Glory City, North City also had piercingly cold winter.

With her son in tow, Isabella walked out of the cabin, breathed the familiar air, and looked at the dancing snowflakes in the sky. After a few deep breaths, she lowered her head, exchanged looks with her son, and got off the plane.

Fortunately, the flight was punctual. If it was later, the plane might have to veer around. After all, such heavy snow was not suitable for flights.

Anyway, she came back.

At the airport, the media had long learned about their return and blocked all exits. They were waiting for Isabella and their son.

"I didn't expect us to be so newsworthy." Isabella looked at the reporters gathering at the exit and gave a helpless smile.

Her news value only lay in the fact that she was Noah's ex-wife.

"Mommy, if you don't want to see those people, I can blast a tunnel." The kid raised his head and looked at his mommy who was grabbing his hand.

"Sweetheart, this is not Glory City..." This was also not their home. If they set a bomb, they probably would enjoy free board and lodging, hmm, in jail.

"This is the turf of the man surnamed Duncan. Mommy, I get it." William Eddings was less than five years old, but his mind was led astray by those psychos during his stay in Glory City.

"He is your daddy..." Isabella sounded a little sad because she was not sure if Noah would acknowledge his son.

"It turns out you know that I'm the kid's dad." An icy voice came from behind, and there was a tinge of anger.

For quite a while, Isabella didn't dare to turn around.

Chapter 2 Long Time No See

"Mommy, there is a cocky man who looks a lot like me. He seems to be talking to you." William pulled her mommy's hand. Bummer, the weather was so cold that his mommy's hand was frozen.

He was aware that his mommy was upset. Before he came back, he promised Ryan that he would protect his mommy. Therefore, hmm, he should snatch a pair of gloves first.

Hearing her son, Isabella knew that she could no longer feign ignorance.

She took a deep breath and slowly turned around.

"Long time no see." What else could she say? Facing the man whom she had been missing for over five years, she had to retort to indifference in a bid to defend her last bit of dignity.

She didn't need to ask to know how Noah got in, because the airport was owned by him. Naturally, he was free to come and go.

"Five years, one month, and 18 days." Noah stared at her while getting increasingly angrier.

Hadn't she had proper meals?

How did she become so thin?

Five years and one month and eighteen days. Upon hearing that, Isabella abruptly raised her head high.

Otherwise, she was afraid that she would cry.

Since he didn't love her, why did he remember their days of separation so clearly?

"Don't get my mommy upset. She has an eye problem and will have a headache when she cries." William walked to the so-called father. Finally, he saw him today for the first time.

"Lend me your gloves, so-called dad." William stretched out his little hand, raised his head, and looked firmly at the man.

"I don't need to trouble you for my woman." Noah took a glance at the kid, took off his gloves, and walked towards Isabella.

"Technically, my mommy used to be your woman but is mine now." Although not dissatisfied with his cocky dad, William wouldn't let him show off like this."

"Soon you'll know whose woman she is." Losing no time, Noah held Isabella in his arms, pulled open his coat, and warped her inside.

Then he reached the other hand for the little one's armpit and exerted strength to lift him.

As the exalted CEO of the North City Empire, Noah really got skills. Easily he carried his son with one hand and held his wife, hmm, ex-wife with the other. Fairly and squarely, they got out of the exit.

There was a sensation among the reporters waiting there.

However, they only dared to press the shutters without flashing light. They held the interview microphones close to themselves and didn't dare to reach them out to Noah.

Then the family of three walked past them...

The corner of Isabella's mouth twitched...

This was called the difference.

If she got out with her son like that, she believed that those reporters would tear her apart and get back with pieces of her.

Who could leave so easily under the noses of so many reporters?

If it were just her and her son, the saliva of these reporters was enough to drown them.

"This is my wife and my son. You know how to write the coverage. If you don't understand anything, I can have someone to teach you..." When they almost reached the car, Noah halted his steps, turned back, and told the reporters.

"We know, we know!" The reporters hurriedly replied lest Mr. Duncan should really send someone to their agencies and 'teach' them.

Chapter 3 Hi, Ex-wife

After watching them get in the car and drive away, those reporters burst into a big uproar.

Wife? son? Didn't they divorce five years ago? Why was she still his wife but not ex-wife?

But they could only live with their doubts and didn't dare to ask Noah about it.

"There is heat in the car, and control your hand." William gazed at his dad's hand that gripped her mommy's. After the man threw him into the car, he left him alone, and the little one couldn't help but snort.

"I like it. Do you have a problem?" Noah glared at his son. He was like saying I would not let go, bite me.

"Mr. Duncan, where are your manners?" The little one wanted to bite him, but his teeth were set on edge by too much lemon he ate last night.

"Running away with integrity," Noah replied calmly.

"Do you think I don't dare to blow up the Duncans' house?" His manners ran away with his integrity? Sounded like he had them.

"Whatever." Noah sounded indifferent as if his house had nothing to do with him.

The little one rolled his eyes and ignored the man.

Isabella tried to pull her hand out of Noah's warm palm, but her efforts were all in vain.

"Noah, we've divorced." Isabella used to be happy to finally marry her beloved man, only to find that he had no love for her.

"Hi, ex-wife. The Civil Affairs Bureau!" He said the front half of the sentence to Isabella and the latter half to the driver.

"Noah!" Isabella got his meaning. Civil Affairs Bureau, a place to restore their marriage!

Since he didn't love her, what was the point of restoring their marriage?

"I'm here." Noah wanted to say that he was there for her. She could enjoy quietness or make a scene, but he wouldn't let her walk away from him again.

He no longer wanted to wrestle with her relationship with Ryan Diaz and only knew that she had been given five years to stay away. In the end, she came back. So, how would he let her go again?

"Noah, send us to the Bay Villa, or drop us off ahead." Isabella sighed and repeatedly told herself to ignore whatever he said.

She was not his love, and those gentle words were not for her.

"Back to the Dragon Villa." Noah made a concession. He could give up forcing her to remarry but would not let her disappear from his sight even if he had to take an approach disapproved by her.

"Noah!" Isabella had been looking out of the window and finally turned back to face the man.

The Dragon Villa used to be their home. What did he mean by sending her and her son there?

"He's my son, and you can get off if you don't want to go! But our son should stay with me." Noah knew that his words would hurt her feelings. He was well aware of that.

But darn it, he couldn't help it! Facing her indifferent attitude, he couldn't help but want to hurt her.

He would rather see her sadness than her indifference.

"Noah, you jerk!" Her tears didn't fall. She bit her lips to hold them back.

She would not cry. Since he didn't love her, what was there to cry for?

Since he had no love for her, why did he have to take her son away?

"Mommy, don't be upset. I only want mommy." Unable to stand it any longer, William glared at his dad, reached out his hand, and gently stroked his mother's face.

Angry with her look, Noah pounded the car window by his side.

Fortunately, the window was bulletproof and certainly able to stand the impact of his punch.

Jack shook his head and sighed.

After running into the villa, the car stopped. Isabella didn't insist on going to the Bay Villa. Given Noah's capabilities, she knew that wherever she stayed made no difference. As long as he wanted to go anywhere, it would become his turf.

After getting into the house, Isabella halted her steps and would not move further.

The interior remained the same as five years ago. Nothing changed, and even the curtain had been hanging there all these years...
