Rekindled path; mafia's pursuit to get his wife

At the midnight, while the moon is shinning so brightly outside that shows the vision of clarity to the earth, a tall, slender figure that wore simple white t shirt inside and black leather jacket outside with a black pants and black shoes sneaks to the huge mansion by jumping two meter tall wall.

"Wow" in front of her was a huge ancient style mansion surrounded by trees and flower bushes just like farmyard. Though she had seen many luxury, the style of the house still left her in awe because it is designed in the way it looks like two majestic wings of dragon is welcoming her.

The location of this place is hidden from outside world because it is at the higher location of the mountain surrounded by lots of trees that looks like a jungle but when you climb up you will know it is a well maintained expensive residence area. The very reason she thought that it will be perfect location for her to hide here for sometime.

"Oh shit!" She cursed because the place she choose to hide is not secluded despite it's location. There are about 20 bodyguards guarding the mansion. So, she hide herself behind the flower bushes and walked without any sound and passed by the bodyguard in an extremely sneaky way.

No one knows just how she was able to avoid the bodyguard despite having so many of them but whatever there is no time to contemplate the past cause there seems to be another barrier.

When she was about to enter the house, there were many servants in duty. To avoid them,she planned to go to the northest wing where there seems to be no light coming from any floor. Since, she couldn't go through the main door, she tries to climb the pipe which seems no big deal for her. When she climbed up to second floor, she slowly stretched her leg on the railing of balcony for support and then stretched her hand to grab the railing so that she could jump inside.

"Perfect" she seems satisfied with her choice of room because despite the moon light this room seems darkest than other. "Perfect place to hide here for the time being." So she decide to explore the room as she is not stupid to think there is no one staying in this room just because there is no light.

She did not turn on the light thought, she might get caught if she did that. Thankfully, moonlight is comings exactly to the balcony which reflects to the room. That helped her a lot to see things.

Actually she was really tired from all the escaping charade, all she wanted was to lie down and rest. But she can't do that before making sure she will be safe here.

Though it is not visible clearly as light from moonlight alone, she can still see that the room is modern style, which is unexpected. When she was outside, the mansion looked like ancient style building and the interior is completely contrasting the outer layer.

The bed and everything in the room that can be seen to look untouched so she decides to check the closet as it is the best method to find whether this room is occupied or not. If there is someone's belonging she will have to find other place to hide and If fortunately no one is living here then she will be lucky to find five star hotel for her hideout.

Meanwhile, outside, the gate of mansion opened and entered a black color Range rover . After going a certain distance it stopped and one of the bodyguard went to open the car door.

Then came in a view, a long leg with black colour pant and customized black leather shoes stepped on the ground in a position of coming out of the car. We could see the man of 188m tall height with magnificent facial structure with pure clear black eyes, wearing a white shirt underneath and blue coat coming out. Then he strode towards the mansion when a main butler it seems came out to get him followed by other servants in line on both sides with their lowered head in a sense to greet him or show their respect.

"Sir dinner will be ready in an half an hour" His master was out for business and supposed to arrive the next day and hence he was not prepared.Though it is very late, it is still his responsibility. So, the head butler informed him.

" No need" saying this the man dismissed them and walked towards the northest wing of mansion where no servants are allowed apart for cleaning and other necessary purpose.

Lights on corridor lit up automatically wherever he goes. Finally he stops and opens the door of a certain room. As he was about to switch on the light, he paused in his action, as if sensing someone's presence. After few seconds he double tapped on his watch.

On the other side, Evelyn who is now exploring the large room in darkness stiffens at the sudden sound of unlocking of the door. In a moment of desperation, she quickly hide herself in one of the closet, thank God the closet was so big to fit herself. In an instant she also has this realization that this seemingly dark room does not seem to be safe and secluded for her. She curses inwardly for her wrong choice. But immediately she realized she has no time to regret her decision and so she concentrate to sense the presence of person outside, but she hear no footsteps at all.

For a few moment there was no activities outside so she she thought maybe she is hearing things. Maybe it's thief's mentality of feeling guilty. She was just about to breath in relief and suddenly...

Suddenly, the door of closet,where she was hiding opens. In fear, instantly she closed her eyes and hears several footsteps and at the same time the light of the room lits up brightly.

Lu yichen watches the girl, as she slowly opens her eyes, he saw her beautiful small face specially her clear black doe shaped eyes which hold so much innocence. As if mesmerized to her beauty, he notices her every expression even the slight widening of her eyes when she sees a gun pointing at her, traces of fear and even the slight guilt in them.

Then the bodyguard came forward and captured her unguarded. Now she is sitting in a chair in front of the gorgeous no..deadly looking man." Ok, interrogation time"

When she heard the man's danger voice interrogating her, she became so nervous that she is unable to speak. For god's sake she is so bad at lying. Now she had to come up with the story which she unprepared.

" Who are you" no response

"What is your purpose" again no response

To his so many questions, she just blinks her pretty eyes looking so innocent. Now how is she going to tell him, she came here to hide. Isn't that embarrassing!

Lu yichen has never been this patient to anyone. If there was anyone else he might be dead till now because not getting answer and him not losing his cool has never happened. He was thinking of using extreme method to make her talk but the problem is her that eyes that seems to hold all the worlds innocence. Every time he was going to loose his mind and order something vicious she will blink her pretty eyes making him unable to do so.

Just as he was feeling helpless, a bodyguard entered the room " sir there are no traces of this girl entering the mansion"

Instantly his expression changes as he emits the cold aura" are you sure"

" Yes sir, no cctv caught her that is why no one from security department able to know her entering" just as he finished his sentence every bodyguard present in the room once again target their gun at her direction. Clearly they took her as a spy.

Evelyn, knowing this panicked what if they really shot her and she will dei without doing things she wants to do in her life. What's the point of her escaping if she is going to die like this. Panicking she was just about to explain herself even if it is embarrassing she heard the another voice which is actually in her favour so she stopped.

The soft hearted butler seeing the little girl panicking couldn't help but want to protect her " sir, maybe she can't hear or speak and she just accidentally entered the villa"

Instantly she had this idea so she played along. Mute Evelyn"....." Blinks

"Is our villa a place that a person can accidentally enter without getting caught" growled the man in frustration. Then he signals one of the bodyguard who immediately fires the gun.

The man observed Evelyn but seeing no change in her expression he was somewhat convinced that she might really be deaf and may be mute. No ordinary person will not react to the gun sound also if she is spy her first reaction will be to protect herself and eliminate the enemy. But she is actually like obedient lamb waiting to be slaughter.

Deaf Evelyn " blinks" how is she supposed to tell them gunshot is not scary for her at all. She was panicked only because there were to many of them if they wanted to kill her she will really have low chance of surviving. But clearly the gun just now was not targeting her, so why would she be afraid just because of its sound alone . 'stupid'

" Sir, may be she is one of the victim, that police has arrested today for human trafficking 5km away from this villa" said the Leon, one of the trusted guard also his assistant.

" Don't assume anything just because she looks innocent. There can't be too many coincidence" Liam says smacking his brother's head for his nonsense.

" But she is deaf and mute. Look at her hand, it is so delicate a little dirty may be because she struggled to escape from there. Do you think her small body can harm others in fact she looks so easy to bully. Who knows what will they do if they found her again" Leon reasoned with his brother. He felt his brother is quite heartless to doubt her.

Evelyn looked at her hand which is actually dirty from climbing. Even the shoes and her bottom of pants were dirty. She silently retracted her legs to hide in embarrassment.

As an expert in hiding, she forgot about the mud of her shoes which can leave a trace. Doing such low level mistake is really embarrassing.

Thankfully nobody noticed her small action as they all are discussing about her but even if they do, they would think she is really sacred and insecure trying to hide her presence.

The benefits she has is, her evil thoughts don't match her appearance, which is really young and innocent.

Liam was so angered with his stupid brother that he became speechless.

" That can be , let her stay in the guestroom and observe her" lu yichen gave the order.

The butler kindly invites her, " miss, let me show your room."

Leon "uncle butler, how is she supposed to respond when she can't hear you. let me do this"

"Beautiful lady, please" then he signaled his hand just like a gentleman who is inviting a lady for a dance.

"Are you inviting her to dance" Liam rolled his eyes for his brother's over exaggerated behavior.

"What do you know, she will understand " just as Leon finished speaking Evelyn moved seemingly understanding him and got out of the room. "See..haha" feeling smug he doesn't forget show off.

Butler, along all the bodyguard left the room to let their boss rest. Leon feeling great responsibility followed the butler and Evelyn to show her room.

" This, you, sleep" he first pointed at her then at room and gestured to sleep. What can she do she just noded her head and smiled playing along with him.

After making ok sign Leon and butler left the room for her.

" Fools" Evelyn murmured. She thinks they are really easy to deceive if she was their boss she would fire them but who is she to complain when she the one getting advantage. So, she just decide to sleep and plan everything the next day.

Meanwhile, after everyone left his room, lu yichen has a thoughtful expression. How could he not know that many things about the girl doesn't make sense. Her coming to his secluded place in the middle of the night, her entering the villa without getting caught, her being in his personal room out of so many room.

He decided to let her stay simply because she looked innocent and if he will chase her who knows what will happen to her. Second even if she is spy or his enemy, isn't it better to keep her and observe her to know more. Having this thought he freshened up got to sleep.

If only Evelyn knew his thoughts, she Will definitely say having so many coincidence is actually possible. She is simply innocent. If he has enemy he should focuse on them, focusing on her is just the waste of time cause she mean no harm. Alas, she doesn't know so she is having good night's sleep without her knowing she is getting observed in near future.

Next morning, everyone were awake and doing their respective duties. In the hall there was large dining table having varieties of food which looked really appetizing.

Lu yichen is seating in there having his breakfast. After finishing his breakfast he questioned the butler," is she not awake"

"No sir, she did not even came out of that room" hearing his voice the main butler immediately informed him.

"Keep a watch on her and report me her every action" he gave his order and stood up heading outside. In the way he paused and said "also treat her like a guest"

"Ok sir" hearing the butlers response he finally made his way out going for work.

On the other side the supposedly mute girl they are talking about has just woken up from her beauty sleep and enjoying her first morning of freedom. " It feels really great but I'm famished" she pouted she hasn't eaten anything for a whole day yesterday "should I go out, but I have to face them if I go"

The room was really beautiful but only in white color, boring. It must be that cold man's choice. The room has balcony and some small plants,everything else is simple.

This place really looks suitable to hide, as long as she stays here they won't find her. ' I just need to think of a good idea to stay here, wait, I just need to fool them, though they already are, haha' remembering the fools from last night she continued to giggle while touring.

After freshening up in the same clothes, as she was really hungry, she finally decides to face them.

Just as she came out of the room, she came to face the floor without a single soul there. " Now where the heck did that all fools go" according to her, she was still in the second floor so she just decided to search the stairs.

Having no one to guide her, she goes to opposite corridor cause last night she saw a two wing may be they are connected and really after some walking she found the stair in the middle. After going down she finally sees the bustling of workers, She sigh a relief at least now it doesn't look scary.

As expected, the servants are doing their daily chores while being surprised after her seeing, maybe thinking where did this beautiful being coming from ,haha, narcissist.

Just as one of the servants is about to confront her, the head butler saw her " miss, are you hungry, please follow me for the breakfast." He also kindly gestured for her to understand.

Evelyn just followed after him, after very short walking they reached the dinning hall, hungry her immediately pointed towards the table for butler to see.

Taking pity on her, the butler thought she is probably really hungry after suffering, so he nodded at her to seat and immediately asked one of the middle aged female servant to serve her a food.

After fifteen minutes she finally got her breakfast which is fried egg and pancake. Happily she ate her breakfast.
